Hello to you listening in Olympia, Washington! Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds (and a bit more) for Wednesdays on Whidbey and your host, Diane Wyzga. I am a storyteller of the old school. What do I mean? For over 30 years I've taught (and continue to teach) my clients and students the same thing: “Put down the paper and nobody gets hurt!” Why? Because storytellers have something to say that comes from their aliveness, which is what people most want to feel and connect with. Sharing our stories out loud brings them to light and life, and encourages us to do what most folks fear more than snakes: stand up and speak up in public. Story spoken aloud is what we leave of ourselves in another person. A story is an intimate lasting legacy, a permanent inheritance much like a vow or an oath. When we share our stories out loud, we connect with each other, we belong to each other. We might not realize it but we are creating a verbal promise, a vow, an oath of belonging. Think about how many times we've heard someone say, "Repeat after me: I solemnly swear..." Marrying couples pledge faithfulness through the challenges and joys of marriage. Lawyers uphold the law, maintain client confidentiality, and act as an officer of the court. Doctors focus on ethics, patient care and societal responsibilities. Politicians preserve and defend the Constitution. US military support and defend the Constitution against all enemies. Immigrants becoming US citizens swear the Oath of Allegiance to the United States during a formal naturalization ceremony. From the time we are children in school we recite The Pledge of Allegiance, a patriotic promise of loyalty to the United States flag and the republic for which it stands. What happens when we share our stories out loud? They become real. We say what we mean, we mean what we say. We—and those hearing us—know what we stand for and what we won't stand for. Yes, you might write a story but it needs to be shared out loud to enrich and include the wider world. That's the legacy of the stories we leave in those who have heard them spoken aloud. Interview with Jeff Tripoli ! Jeff Tripoli is an American drummer, percussionist, and vocalist, raised in Syracuse, New York. With over 30 years of experience, his journey began in the clubs of Upstate New York, where he started performing professionally at just 17 years old. Jeff's drumming style reflects a diverse blend of musical influences and genres. Both on stage and in the studio, he has played with a wide array of artists and bands across Rock, Funk, Blues, Soul, Alternative, Bluegrass, Zydeco, Americana, Celtic, Folk, and World music. At the heart of his dynamic sound lies a drive to create fresh rhythms and unique artistic perspectives. He has toured extensively across the U.S., Canada, and Europe for more than 15 years, with appearances at music festivals including Grey Fox Bluegrass, The Great Blue Heron, Sterling Stage, Finger Lakes GrassRoots, Shakori Hills GrassRoots, North Texas Irish Festival and Canada's Irish Festival. Since 2015, Jeff has been a member of Canadian Celtic folk-rock band The Town Pants, touring internationally through cities like Vancouver, Buffalo, Toronto, Chicago, Dallas, Honolulu, and Dublin. He's featured on their 2018 release Something To Say. The Town Pants blend Irish traditional, folk-rock, and roots-Americana into their signature Celtic-Roots-Rock sound, showcased across six studio albums, two live albums, and a famously high-energy live show that's earned them a global fanbase. "Natural Habitat" is an avant-garde percussion album that explores the raw, organic essence of sound. Using natural materials and unconventional techniques, it weaves earthy textures with hypnotic rhythms and spacious atmospheres. Trippy and immersive, each track feels like a sonic ecosystem—alive, evolving, and untamed. Natural Habitat invites listeners into a deep, meditative journey through the wild, primal pulse of the natural world. Jeff's Info

Prophecy isn't fortune telling or a Christian version of psychic readings. At its core, prophecy is simply hearing what God is saying and repeating it. We serve a God who speaks directly into the lives of his people and community through individuals who submit themselves to the authority of the Spirit and the community. In the Old Testament, prophets stood at the margins of power, speaking truth to kings and calling people back to faithfulness. In the New Testament, this prophetic function was distributed throughout the entire body of Christ. After Pentecost, the Spirit indwells all believers and distributes gifts as he determines. According to 1 Corinthians 14:3, prophecy functions for "edification, encouragement, and comfort," primarily building up the local church. We need both Word and Spirit. Scripture serves as our tuning fork, the measuring stick that tests whether what we're hearing aligns with the character of Jesus. When someone shares a prophetic word, we ask: Does it resonate with Scripture? Does it confirm what God is already speaking? Does the character of the person speaking give weight to their words? The Spirit speaks through pictures, words, phrases, impressions, and highlighted scriptures. We don't have to act immediately on every prophetic word. God opens doors, and our job is to walk through them when he makes the way clear. Sometimes people get it wrong, and that's okay. We extend grace, test everything against Scripture, and stay open to God's voice. We're invited to eagerly desire spiritual gifts, stay grounded in Scripture, remain submitted to community, and practice humility as we learn to hear from God together.URF WEBSITE: ➤ http://www.urfellowship.comSOCIALS: ➤ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/urfellowship/➤ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/urfellowship
In small-town Minnesota, a 16-year-old girl named Rebecca sees a pale figure staring out from her bedroom window — a young woman with white hair and a sorrowful face. No one is inside. All doors are locked. But years later, when Rebecca discovers that the man she once dated was arrested for a brutal assault and murder, she realizes the apparition wasn't a threat… it was a warning. The mysterious “woman in white” may have been a guardian spirit, appearing to steer her away from a deadly fate. Then, hundreds of miles away in New Mexico, Dustin visits a reservation site haunted by tragedy — the place where a boy ended his own life inside a rusted tractor. Visitors report seeing his ghost sitting on nearby boulders, blank-eyed and silent, watching as they drive past. But when Dustin climbed into the tractor himself, the spirit appeared beside him — full-bodied, expressionless, and impossibly real. Two different lives. Two restless souls. Both reminders that sometimes, the dead still have something to say — whether it's to protect us… or to make sure we remember them. #trueghoststory #hauntedplaces #womaninwhite #realhaunting #paranormalactivity #ghostencounter #realparanormal #creepystory #ghoststories #guardianangel Love real ghost stories?
