Well, it's been awhile, but let's look at an odd Star Trek movie… in more ways than one. Star Trek III had a lot to live up to after The Wrath of Khan and it gave a good effort, but couldn't help but be overshadowed by its predecessor. In order to discuss this mixed bag from the movie era, Case and Sam are joined by John Broughton from Starship Farragut. Starship Farragut has made fan content set in the TOS and animated series era of Trek and now it's moving on to the movie era, so now is the time to don the monster maroons and seek out this movie's katra! Can the trio give the flawed film new life? Only one way to find out!

Pathfinder. Reginald Barclay is a fan favorite from The Next Generation despite appearing in only five episodes. But did you realize he appeared in more episodes of Voyagerthan TNG? It took the writers a long while to bring Reg back after his appearance in the second-season episode “Projections,” but once they did he played a key role in getting Voyager home starting with “Pathfinder” in Season Six. In this episode of The Ready Room we're joined by Charlynn Schmiedt, Suzanne Abbott, and Jaime Sanchez to discuss Barclay's counseling session with Deanna Troi, his status as top dog of coolness amongst the holographic Voyager crew, what the episode says about those with addictions, and whether or not there should have been more stories throughout the series about Starfleet's search for the missing ship. Starship Farragut: The Crossing. The Original Series time period is a popular one for fan series, but that doesn't always mean Kirk, Spock, and the Enterprise. In our fourth episode of the SciFi Diner Classic, we interview Michael Struck from NeoFX. Since we do a news and interview show, it goes without saying that the news portion of our episodes often date themselves fast. And while the interviews with the people that make Science Fiction happen remain relevant and in our opinion important, most listeners will not listen back 100 episodes and wade through old news just to get to the interview. So what the SciFi Diner Classic aims to do is to share these interviews with you. If you have been with us from the beginning, then bear with us as we introduce some of our newer listeners to voices from the past. Let me know what you think of this idea. Like it? Hate it? Let me know. We're bringing you just the interview and nothing else. Special effects animator Michael Struck from NeoFX has animated such fan films as Star Trek: Of God's and Men, Starship Farragut, and Browncoats: Redemption. He also talks about meeting Lou Scheimer.
