This week we are discussing "Leprechaun 4: In Space." This was a Hall pass pick by me and it also is our 6 year anniversary! This sequel I remember watching at my buddy Tom's as a 10 year old and it's still just as bad as I remember. We talked about bad CGI, Lep with a lightsaber, how Leprechaun's power usage makes no sense, the set pieces, and so much more. Happy St. Patty's Day, Sequel Lovers!Watch the Unedited Video Review at sequelsonly.com/LepInSpaceThe next sequel up is "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol" and for it, I chatted with David Codeglia. David did some Visual FX for the film. We discussed his journey from doing films with his twin as a kid to VFX to directing to comedy and more. Chelsea Laufer went to a prestigious film school. She got a job in TV production, and then in animation. But it wasn't until she uploaded her *own* creations to the Internet that her life turned magical. Chelsea VFX makes inspired, short-form digital magic tricks where she disappears into hula hoops, takes a dip in her own cup of coffee, and changes the color of her sweater with a snap. Her visual effects skills rival Hollywood movies, and her flair for short-form surprises racked up millions of followers and (likely) 1 billion views. Her motto is, "If you can think of it, you can make it happen" — at least in the world of digital manipulation. But when her fans tell her she should work for Marvel or Disney, she has one huge reason she prefers to create for the Internet. This week, Chelsea shares her rules for magical short-form storytelling, why she's the worst person to watch a movie with, and the fascinating tale of her most-viewed video which went INCREDIBLY viral (500 million views!) for all the wrong reasons. Plus: Trivia is BACK! Follow Chelsea IMMEDIATELY:

We nominate horror bests in 9 Oscar Categories for the years of 2016 through 2020 and then give out Gold, Silver, & Bronze medals. It’s simple, it’s fun, and we celebrate so many great horror movies in the process. These are The Horror Oscar Olympics. What Is This Episode/Happy Horror Days! - Top of Show THE ’16-20 HORROR OSCAR OLYMPICS: VFX - 2:26 Supporting Actor - 7:24 Supporting Actress - 13:06 Adapted Screenplay - 17:20 Original Screenplay - 23:41 Lead Actor - 29:34 Lead Actress - 33:40 Best Director - 41:40 Best Picture - 45:55 Your Homework/Our Socials - 52:44 What’s Next For MMO/Words of Wisdom - 53:26 Now why did we do 5 years in one Olympiad? Well, we rationalized it because the next Olympics, Tokyo 2021 will transpire 5 years after Rio 2016. But the main reason we wanted to include 2016 was because 2016 was so loaded with great horror films. So we figured that would just add to the fun, and we were right. As for the format, it’s pretty simple. We cover 9 Oscar categories including Visual FX, Original & Adapted Screenplay, all 4 lead and supporting performances, best director, and picture. Then we each declare a Best of the Year as we hand out Gold, Silver, & Bronze medals to our top 3’s, which means two of those bests “Do Not Medal.” Which Stephen King adaptation will win gold in screenplay? How in the hell do we choose a best actress? What MMO favorite will win the most hardware? And what 2020 films will shock their way to the podium? Find out in this fast paced hour and get ready for your Halloween Holiday with us. If you enjoyed this episode, check out these related playlists on our Soundcloud - “The Oscar Olympics,” “MMO Does Halloween,” and “#AllTheHorror.” Then do stay tuned for our annual Halloween tradition of The Scaries, an MMO Homemade Awards Show, where this year, we’ll be featuring the subgenre of alien movies. Michael Rivero launched whatreallyhappened.com in 1993 after the Vince Foster "murder." Until late August 2010, Rivero ran the Whatreallyhappened radio show on GCN, airing six days a week. Rivero airs his show at Republic Broadcasting, running from 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. Central Time. Rivero was born and raised in New England farming country. Originally a child actor, Michael left film work after High School to follow a career in science, working for NASA on the Viking and Voyager projects, among others. Following the post-Apollo crash of the aerospace industry, Michael went back into film work arriving at the exact time Hollywood was beginning to employ more computers for visual effects; a classic case of being in the right place art the right time, with the right skills. Having paid for college as a professional stage magician, Michael brings an awareness of how an audience perceives what they see to his designs for visual effects. Michael lives in Hawaii with his wife Claire, a composer, where together they own a commercial production company specializing in music, Visual FX and supervision, commercial direction, industrial films, and computer animation. Michael Rivero Quotes "Truth needs no law to support it. Truth is self-evident to all. Truth withstands re-examination. Truth survives questions. Throughout history, from Galileo to Zundel, only lies and liars have resorted to the courts to enforce adherence to dogma." "If you cannot tell the difference between divine intervention and random stupidity, then there is for all intents and purposes no divine intervention." "The discouraging thing about fighting against war is that there is never going to be a time when you can say you have succeeded, only those times when you know you have failed."

Starship Farragut: The Crossing. The Original Series time period is a popular one for fan series, but that doesn't always mean Kirk, Spock, and the Enterprise. Star Trek: Secret Voyage. The Original Series—or at least the late 23rd century—tends to be the focal point of today's fan productions; but that doesn't mean Kirk and Spock must always take the lead. There was a gap between the end of the five-year mission and the refit of the Enterprise as we saw it in The Motion Picture. What happened during that time? Star Trek: Secret Voyage, a creation of Craig Sheeler, is the story of a special mission carried out aboard the historic 1701 but under the command of a different captain with a different crew. In this episode of Continuing Mission we're joined by Craig to learn more about the series, various aspects of production—including creating visual effects, composing original music that’s true to TOS, shooting in the desert, the premise behind the first two episodes, and more.
