It has been a long time coming. We're finally wrapping up another Thrawn Trilogy. There isn't much Thrawn left. Is this the last of Thrawn we'll ever see?? What about the Grisks? The answer may surprise you... and it's "there isn't anywhere for this to go and it all ends in Rey Star Wars."Support the showDiscord - https://discord.gg/6BaNRtcP8CTwitter - https://twitter.com/wabpodInstagram - https://www.instagram.com/wordsaboutbookspodcastBlog - https://blog.wordsaboutbooks.ninja/Buy the Books - https://bookshop.org/shop/wabpod
This might as well just be "Words About Thrawn". This blue alien has come in and just taken over the podcast. I think if you count the bonus super-cut we have, as of this week, talked about Thrawn for 13 episodes. Thrawn has tied with Dune! He cannot be stopped! I'm talking Star Wars comics, reviewing "Thrawn: Treason," "Myths & Fables," and "A Crash Of Fate," and answering your mailbag questions! - "Star Wars," "Doctor Aphra," and "Target Vader" series ending - "Rise Of Kylo Ren" limited run - "Thrawn: Treason" Review - "Myths & Fables" Review - "A Crash Of Fate" Review Mailbag Questions 1.) Eddie Rios - Greetings my friend! Love your podcast. I listen to every episode you produce usually in my car on my way home from work. Keep up the good work. With the announcement of the ObiWan series do you think we'll see a young Luke Skywalker on Tatooine? Its good to know you are slowly building more followers. You deserve it. Peace. 2.) Kylie Burns - Hey there Brian! Big fan here. Been listening to your content since The Force Awakens came out. I love how your channel has grown and wanted to say congrats on your little youngling coming soon! I did not like TLJ. If you can rebuttal any of the following I am open to looking at it differently. It's stupid to have a droid say the famous line "I have a bad feeling about this." It was totally out of character for Luke to just drop everything and go into hiding. We've never heard of ships using fuel before the Disney era. Force communication didn't kill Luke and Leia in ESB, why did it kill Luke in TLJ? When was it established that Force ghosts could interact with the physical world? Why were the turbolaser beams from the Finalizer arching in space? Why is Leia all of a sudden able to use the Force to save herself when we've never seen her use it before? I'd like to hear your opinion on these topics, and how you can still call it a SW movie with those flaws. Keep up the great work Brian! 3.) Rose Cooper - Brian, today is my birthday! Hoping to get a question on the show. In your opinion what is the best expanded universe scene in any book, and what is the best scene in all of canon (book, movie, anything)? 4.) Todd Marsh - Hey Brian I have a question for your podcast. I know you enjoy the new canon quite a bit. But what is the biggest drawback in your opinion of a connected universe? Would love to hear your thoughts. So much Star Wars news has come out this past week that we are on a complete mind overload! Upcoming comics, novels, and footage from The Rise of Skywalker is beginning to give us clues. In the new comic series, Age of Resistance, we see that Snoke may have been controlled by Emperor Palpatine this whole time. Or was it Cad Bane, the arguable successor to the throne vacated by Jango, and who himself is a cunning warrior? 0:39:08From a Certain Point of View (Featured Topic):D23 dropped more Star Wars news than we expected. Among the most talked about things at the convention was a featurette for The Rise of Skywalker. Jamie Holbeche (Patron) - Hey Brian, limiting it down to the novels and excluding comics, Movies and Shows, who is your favourite character from any of the star wars novels released in canon as of yet? Thanks in advance. 2.) Linda Putnam - Hey Brian, just found your podcast and I really like what you're doing with the new canon. My question is do you think at some point this new canon will be wiped away and started over again? Love to hear your opinion. 3.) Cheney Prince - Great show, Brian. I wish smaller channels with good content like this one got more recognition than they do. Keep it up. Are we going to see Snoke in episode 9? And if so will it be in a flashback or as a Force ghost. Thanks! 4.) John Mahanty - Have you ever thought about branching out and talking about more than just Star Wars? I'd love to hear your opinions on stuff like Marvel, DC, and maybe some games? What do you think? 5.) Velma Thompson - When is that comic ranking video you promised coming? Not mad it's not out yet, just anxious to see the listing.
