The Bad Batch Season 2 reached its conclusion last week, and as you'll hear on today's episode, our reaction and thoughts might go against the trend just a bit. We liked it! But our feelings may have been skewed and we're blaming the official Star Wars social media accounts for it.
Today's episode is a bit of a detour from the normal back and forth you're used to on the show. Today, BB-N8 is interviewing Brandon Proctor. You may not recognize Brandon's name, but you certainly will recognize his work. Brandon is best known for his amazing sound editing on films like Creed, Thor: Love and Thunder, A Quiet Place, and of course, Black Panther - for which he was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Achievement in Sound Mixing. If you're a regular listener of the show, you know that Nate's dream is to follow in the footsteps of men and women like Brandon. They spoke a few weeks ago about Brandon's success and more.

The Bad Batch is sandwiched in between a LOT of official canon Star Wars content. It seems that sometimes this limits what can be done with the stories and the legacy characters in that timeline. We were pretty shocked when we found out that #TheBadBatch were heading to Count Dooku's palace and Serreno. And watching these episodes made it more clear to me that there are a LOT of similarities between Darth Tyrannus and Darth Vader. We wanted to get Pete and Lucas' opinions on this. In Episodes 1 & 2 of Season 2 of #thebadbatch here is a sharp disagreement between how the squad should move forward after the events of Kamino. Hunter wants to continue to lay low, do some jobs to make money, and hide from the Empire. But Echo sees this as unjust and he keeps trying to convince Hunter to get into the fight. The fulcrum for all of this seems to center on keeping Omega safe. Today's episode is a conversation about Season 1 of #TheBadBatch and a little responsible speculation about Season 2. Of course, by now, the first two episodes of Season 2 have been released. I'll save my initial spoiler free thoughts on those until after the segment. Enjoy!
Today's episode is a little different. Sam is really excited about the new Netflix show Kaleidoscope starring Ginacarlo Esposito. He'll explain why! We've gotten the chance to watch a couple of episodes of Kaleidoscope since our recording a couple of days ago. So far, it's really good. We started with the first episode listed in the season and then decided to change it up and pick another randomly. We we're a little floored by how well they worked together. It was almost like the second episode we watched perfectly answered the questions we had from the first we watched. It was a little creepy. I'm sure we'll watch another episode as soon as we can. Learn more about the show and see our complete library at www.tatooinesons.com!

Today's episode is our conversation about that riveting address given by Kino Loy in Episode 10 of Andor, along with our patented āDad Momentā from this week's show. Before Andor hit our TV's it was suggested by SOME that there weren't any āeaster eggsā in the series. Tony Gilroy hit back and explained that there were plenty, but that they were the kind you had to actually be paying attention to see them. There are so many in this series. But my favorite might be in this speech when Kino Loy repeats Cassian's words verbatim in the same way Jyn Erso did in Rogue One. Thanks for checking out this short segment from our full Tatooine Sons episode this week. If you missed any of the other segments on this week's show, you can find those in our podcast feed and of course you can hear even more like our āIs It Canon?ā and āMovie Momentsā segments on the full episode that released earlier in the week.
Today's episode is the discussion that Samuel the Hutt led about Shuri's faith journey in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. It's a pretty classic Tatooine Sons take on the subject and one you probably won't hear anywhere else.We start every full episode explaining that pop culture in the mythology of this generation that speaks to something written on our souls. Shuri's story in Wakanda Forever is a perfect example of this. All of us have been touched by the death of someone we love. And it's so hard to go through. And lots of times it causes us to question everything we believe in and even lose ourselves in the process. This film hits even harder because everyone involved was dealing with this in a real world way because of the loss of Chadwick Boseman. Thanks for checking out this short segment from our full Tatooine Sons episode this week. I really do hope you check out the rest of the episode where we discuss Kino Loy's powerful speech from Andor Episode 10: āOne Way Out,ā and the legacy of Kevin Conroy as Batman.
Today's episode is BB-N8's tribute to Kevin Conroy. If you're a regular listener, you already know what a massive Batman fan he is. So of course, he really wanted to share his thoughts on Conroy's legacy and his portrayal of the Dark Knight in animation and video games. We're trying something new for the next couple of weeks. We realize we discuss a lot of topics on each episode, and sometimes there are big time spoilers. That means if you haven't watched a particular movie or episode yet, you may be forced to skip the episode until you have. But we don't want you to miss out on the other conversations on our show because you're worried about being spoiled in one segment. So, we're going to release each of our main topics in smaller, individual episodes that last between 10 to 15 minutes each. Thanks for checking out this short segment from our full Tatooine Sons episode this week. The rest of the episode is a lot of fun as we talk about Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and specifically Shuri's faith journey, and Kino Loy's powerful speech from Andor Episode 10: āOne Way Out.ā We'd love for you to check that out.

This Week on Tatooine Sons:Some of the scenes in Episode 9 of Andor were the most disturbing - and cringy - yet. This Week on Tatooine Sons:The Disney era of Star Wars has tried show different perspectives on the Empire and the Rebellion. But in attempting to show the motivations of both sides, the storytellers have run the risk of blurring the lines between good and evil. Now, Andor is making it clear who the bad guys really are. And Nate helps us try to understand who the ClanDestines are in Ms. Marvel. THIS is Tatooine Sons!
This Week on Tatooine Sons:Part 5 of Obi Wan Kenobi gave Star Wars fans the special treat they've been waiting for: a flashback sequence showing Anakin Skywalker. But this episode also revealed the reason why the conflict between Darth Vader and Ben Kenobi at the close of Part 3 of the series didn't break canon. In reality, Part 5 showed us that Anakin Skywalker / Darth Vader NEVER became the Master. We'll discuss this along with a closer look at Vecna in Stranger Things, Seasons 1-3, and how Grant Gustin could replace Ezra Miller as The Flash in the DCEU. THIS is Tatooine Sons!

You're an average Star Wars fan. You saw Star Wars in the theater in 1977. You've seen the other films. And then in December of 2017, you have a couple of people suggest you look like Luke Skywalker in The Last Jedi. So, you decide to cosplay the character for charity. And things blow up from there. That's the story of our guest this week, Fluke Skywalker. In less than five years, Fluke Skywalker has become recognized within Star Wars fandom as the most recognizable cosplayer of the Sequel Trilogy version of Luke Skywalker. Mark Hamill has even tweeted that Fluke looks more like Mark Hamill than even he does. And a few months ago, a major new publication incorrectly labeled a video as having Mark in it, when it was really Fluke. But the best part of all of this, is that Fluke uses this uncanny resemblance to help kids and their families through charities like Ronald McDonald House and Make A Wish.
