Flamboyant and infectiously positive, Sooz has always tried to find a “glimmer” in every day since she was a little girl. Not even a stage 4 bowel cancer diagnosis has extinguished her bubbly personality. That doesn't mean there are not moments that are hard, but as she explains, she chooses to view everything with a positive filter.Sooz talks about how (despite being health literate) she was shocked by her diagnosis. 'I just put my stomach pains down to gastro as a result of a recent trip to France, where I consumed good rose and French cheese', and how you must advocate for your own health.Sooz also chats about the importance of community and how her tribe, 'Soozies Floozies' have helped her navigate her cancer treatment. Bold in everything she does, Sooz is a breath of fresh air and this chat is a must listen.

It's 1992 and former (and unpopular) Polish Prime Minister lives in an almost paranoid level of security - his house is fortified by an 11 foot barbed-wire-topped wall and patrolled by a vicious Rottweiler, a dog which Jaroszewicz would walk while armed with a handgun.Nevertheless, he and his second wife Alicja are found tortured and murdered in their home, the motivation for the crime unclear. The perpetrators equally unclear.Until almost 30 years later...Also in this episode Sooz makes the decision to pivot into directing porn. Hear her plans!______We're doing a live show! The final (fingers crossed) in our trilogy (still keep em crossed) of duo episodes as Chris and Sooz tackle a mass poisoning of a French village in 1951, which led to 250 cases and 7 deaths, including a man who thought he was a plane and jumped from a second storey window. And want to hear about the government's policies on the distribution of flour in post-war France? Sooz didn't, so decided to counter each bread fact with a fact about dressage. Will that be enough to convert Chris to the sport?________We're doing a live show! Here is a fairly substantial shake-up to the formula as Sooz and Masud make up their own mystery based on what Chris told them it was called as he was away on holiday and unable to join the recording as planned. How close do they get? And in an episode which involves time travel, premature burial and gluten intolerant interdimensional beings, which come from the actual mystery and which come from the minds of Sooz and Masud???_____We're doing a live show! Welcome to this week's episode of the 2 Thicc Pod, where your hosts Meat Sticks and Tummy Sweat are joined by the fabulous Red Sox hating Sooz, also known as @yanxchick on social media. Sooz, who has over 10 years of experience in the hobby industry working with top names like Goldin, Topps, Beckett, and now CSG wastes 1 hour of here life (that she can NEVER get back talking with Manny & Jeremy) Get ready to burst into laughter as Sooz shares a hilarious encounter of fan-girling all over baseball legend Derek Jeter. She even somehow managed to remind him that his name is, well, Derek! Meanwhile, Jeremy is desperately trying to get his hands on one of those elusive Derek Jeter Gift Baskets, but the odds seem to be against him. Perhaps he'll have to settle for starting a Pokemon collection like Sooz just did. Jeremy and Sooz commiserate over their introverted nature. Manny can't even understand how they get talked and peopled out at events like the National because he doesn't have an off button. So crack open a Zima (or any other drink of choice), and put your feet up we tickle your ear drums with our sweet thicc hobby chat. #sportscardpod #podcast #thehobby #whodoyoucollect #mannybeingmanny #recklesscards #2ThiccPod #HobbiesUnleashed #PodcastFun #DerekJeterGiftBaskets #sooz #cgs #psa #bgs #sgc #sportscards #tradingcards #hobby #gemmints

In episode 725, we start with a brand new segment we're calling Sooz Reviews where Susie tells us which things to watch or read. Today she's giving her thoughts on a bunch of stand-up specials made by women comics including Sarah Silverman, Amy Schumer, Hannah Gatsby, Wanda Sykes, and Leanne Morgan. She talks about how exciting it is to have more perspectives on the stage instead of the same old jokes. We try to understand people who insist on believing in conspiracy theories about things that are not really up for debate (we're looking at you Flat Earthers) including people who think the Titanic didn't sink or was sunk purposely. We discuss the 1972 Best Documentary film, MarJoe, and how we can't believe we didn't hear about it before. Marjoe was a child preacher who decided to return to revivals just to make money even though he didn't believe his message any more and let a film crew document his methods of swindling people. Plus, we talk about the issues SNL has had over forty years, and the reasons Lorne Michaels hasn't been held accountable for the deaths, alleged assaults, and misconduct among the cast.Join our book club, shop our merch, sign-up for our free newsletter, & more by visiting The Brain Candy Podcast website: https://www.thebraincandypodcast.comConnect with us on social media:BCP Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastSusie's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterSarah's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBCP Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/braincandypodSusie's Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/susie_meisterSarah's Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/ImSarahRiceSponsors:Get 5 free AG1 Travel Packs and a FREE 1 year supply of Vitamin D with your first purchase at https://drinkag1.com/braincandyControl Body Odor ANYWHERE with @lumedeodorant and get $5 off off your Starter Pack (that's over 40% off) with promo code: BRAINCANDY at https://lumedeodorant.com/braincandy! #lumepodMore podcasts at WAVE: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/artist/wave-podcast-network/1437831426See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

How are you doing this week? So just a quick reminder, I have changed how I'm doing the podcast. There's no intro and outro. There's no fancy editing clips at the beginning. There's basically just me hitting record on my computer, sat in front of my mic and talking, and I did this purely as a way to simplify the process and my business. And sometimes I think we need to have lots of processes and systems and people, and sometimes I think it's just good to simplify stuff. So, This is episode 294. Like, wow. Actually, while I'm on that, like I always do something special for like, Episodes a hundred and episode 200, and obviously we are just seven episodes. That is right. No, six episodes. Can't do maths, off episode 300. And I haven't yet decided what I'm doing. So what would you have for me do on episode 300? Let me know. Drop me a DM, come and find me on your favorite social media platform and let me know what you would like me to do on episode 300. As a heads up episode 100, I was interviewed with my husband with the, by the lovely BizPaul, so he interviewed both of us. That was quite funny. I enjoyed that episode. Episode 200.
