After a few weeks away Adam returns with a Christmas special, and he's brought a couple of popular past guests with him. Former Soccer FM duo Ray Bradshaw and Steven Mill become the first to make three appearances on the show, joining Adam for a look back at the Scottish football highlights of 2021. Award-winning stand-up Ray has recently supported Frankie Boyle and John Bishop, as well as making appearances on BBC Scotland's A View From The Terrace and Sky Sports. He speculates about John Collins' belly button, reflects on his ongoing beef with Superscoreboard host Gordon Duncan, shares his uncanny N-Dubz impression and predicts the chaos that Gary Caldwell would wreak in Grinch form, as well as hailing the important legacy of Rose Ayling-Ellis' Strictly win. Radio presenter Steven is responsible for one of the most widely shared moments so far on the Old Firm Facts podcast, and he brings us a certain controversial political figure's opinion on Hamilton Accies as well as his own thoughts on Peter Grant's 'sexy football', unpleasant Tommy Wright memories, Les Battersby's East End Park cameo, nostril-waxing, the joy of Ally McCoist's Scotland commentary and why he was cut out of a recent radio moment that went viral. Adam breaks down the best stories, headlines and quotes from each month of the year as well as asking his guests for their 2021 highlights and 2022 wishes, putting questions to them from Twitter, debunking two myths involving Celtic's trip to Dingwall and giving an Otis Redding classic a Derek McInnes twist.
David Forrest is joined by Reiss Haldane and Jamie McDonald to try and pick the bones out of the bizarre fog-filled spectacle that was our last minute win against Raith Rovers. We discuss what we saw of the game, how big of a win it is, Tommy Wright's sacking and what the second half of the season looks like. We then chat about the Inverness game on Boxing Day and the new restrictions coming in place that means we won't be able to go to games for a while. Finally, to try and inject a bit of festive cheer, we chat our plans at Christmas and who we would have round from the world of Partick Thistle at Christmas dinner..
Post-match reaction as Rangers, Hearts & Motherwell all win in the Premiership. Arbroath beat Morton to go top of Championship & Kilmarnock sack manager Tommy Wright
Cammy Bell & Julie Fleeting assess Kilmarnock's win over Ayr Utd in the Ayrshire derby. Including post-match reaction from Tommy Wright & David Hopkin.
Adam is joined by multi-million-selling singer-songwriter Amy Macdonald and ESPN Bundesliga commentator Derek Rae to discuss Ange Postecoglou and Scottish football's reaction to foreign managers, what we could learn from Germany, arrogant English pundits and Scotland's forthcoming Euro 2020 triumph. Amy gives an insight into her songwriting, looks back on encounters with the likes of Oasis, Bruce Springsteen and Maradona, recalls singing Flower of Scotland at Hampden and provides an update on her infamous beef with Tommy Wright. Derek remembers commentating on a classic Champions League final, explains how he's adapted his commentary style during the pandemic, talks about his work on EA Sports' FIFA games and fulfils a request from Adam that will make every Scotland fan's day. Adam looks into commentators apologising for 'fruity language' in Myths Debunked, channels Mark Lawrenson for some withering takes on classic lyrics, adds Scouse to his list of questionable accents and puts questions from Twitter to Amy and Derek. Irish League stalwart Albert Watson joins me for this latest Campbell's Footballs instalment. On the show we discuss early days at Ballymena United under Kenny Shiels and Tommy Wright before moving onto Linfield to play under the legend David Jeffrey. After spending time at Windsor Park, Albert upped sticks and moved to Canada where he played for FC Edmonton. We discuss life in the Americas and how different a life it was over there in comparison to the Irish League. We then hear about Albert's move to Iceland to play for KR Reykjavik before moving back to the Irish League. Albert is a cornerstone of most team's backlines and in 2019 made the move to join Larne. We end the show by discussing what convinced Albert to join the Inver Park side and his experiences of Kenny Bruce, Gareth Clements and teammates such as Conor Devlin and Tomas Cosgrove. A very interesting chat and I hope you enjoy it.

Unbiased | In-depth | Scottish This week Owen Brown and Gavin Miller discuss three managers in Scottish football; David Martindale, Tommy Wright and Robbie Neilson. * We start by discussing Martindale's attributes and how he has Livingston play, talk about any lessons they can learn from defeat to Dundee United and what they maybe need to think about ahead of next season. * With Tommy Wright newly in as Kilmarnock manager we chat about style of play, whether the 'split' setup of the Scottish Premiership leads to clubs having a false sense of security and give our opinions on the players Killie have brought in to help fight off relegation * Finally we focus on Robbie Neilson and Hearts. What's their style of play, are fans expecting a bit too much, what should they be doing - as well as winning the league - to give themselves the best chance when they come back up to the Premiership and more. Tommy Wright relates the story of his conversion to Christ in 1952. As is common with young people, on entering his teens, Tommy began to drift away from interest in the gospel and tried to get out of “going to meetings”. But the godly influence of his mother prevailed. With tears in her eyes one day she said to Tommy “So, you've chosen the world”. Listen to hear how God used this in Tommy's awakening and salvation. (Recorded 26th July The post “So, you've chosen the world” (15 min) first appeared on Gospel Hall Audio.

It wasn’t so long ago that many were fearing the worst for Callum Davidson and his plucky St Johnstone side. Straight off the back of Tommy Wright leaving the keys to the kingdom to the novice coach, Davidson started his inaugural season as a football manager with one draw, two wins and 10 games in charge. In a season that was already putting unfair pressure from outside factors on Scottish Premiership clubs, the Saints looked like a club that had taken a risk at the worst, possible time. Yet, 10 games on from that first spell and something has certainly changed at McDiarmid Park. The players are performing, the formation is bamboozling opposition coaches and most important St Johnstone are getting points on the table. With just one defeat from their last 10 games, we take a look at what Davidson did to turn St Johnstone’s season around. Enjoy! See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
