This months bonus episode was recored LIVE at the Hostech event hosted by MCA. How can tech empower customers and operators, across all hospitality touchpoints? In this wide-ranging panel discussion, sector CTO's and operator specialists discuss their vision of future progress, from the evolution of loyalty and rewards, to ordering and payments, to robotics and AI. Panellists: David Rose Senior Director – International Digital & Marketing Technology Rory Scallan commercial director at Five Guys JV UK and Europe Nick Fryer CTO, Dojo Rob O'Beirne VP of Revenue, Nory AI During the chat we discussed the following.... Delivery Management Streamlined Operations: David Rose from Papa John's emphasized the importance of simplifying kitchen operations by integrating various online channels and managing driver logistics. By partnering with technology providers like Deliverect, they have reduced the complexity of handling multiple delivery platforms. This integration allows kitchen staff to concentrate on food preparation rather than juggling different order systems. Flexible Delivery Models: The ability to switch between in-house drivers and third-party delivery services based on demand is another significant advantage. This flexibility not only optimizes operational efficiency but also ensures that customer orders are fulfilled promptly, enhancing the overall customer experience. As David mentioned, this adaptability allows stores to manage costs effectively while maintaining high service standards. Accurate Order Fulfillment: Rory Scanlan from Five Guys highlighted the importance of integrating delivery partners to ensure that preparation and wait times are as accurate as possible. This accuracy not only improves online profiles and algorithm rankings but also enhances the in-store experience by reducing the time couriers spend waiting for orders. Consequently, staff can dedicate more time to serving in-store customers, thereby improving service quality. Simplified Payment Experience: Nick Fryer from Dojo discussed the goal of making payments "invisible" to customers. By providing a seamless payment experience—whether through QR codes or other methods—the focus shifts back to the dining experience rather than the transaction itself. This simplification reduces the administrative burden on staff, allowing them to engage more with customers. Reduced Administrative Tasks: The elimination of cumbersome processes, such as the traditional Zed report and the need to keep physical receipts, further streamlines operations. By minimizing back-office administration, staff can spend more time on the floor, enhancing customer interactions and service quality. Data-Driven Insights: The integration of payment processing technology also allows for better data collection and analysis. This data can inform operational decisions, helping managers optimize staffing and inventory based on real-time insights. As Rob O'Byrne from Nori pointed out, using technology to guide decision-making can free up time for general managers to focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences rather than getting lost in spreadsheets and data modeling.

Puerto Rico has had a huge impact on the world's music scene, in comparison to its size. And on this week's episode, host Aislyn Greene travels to the island to find out why. She explores bomba and plena, two of the earliest forms of music that emerged from Puerto Rico's African ancestors. Found the source of danza music, watched salsa musicians urge people to their feet, and met with reggaetón artists. And though we couldn't possibly capture all of the complexities of the island's music in one episode, we hope it does reveal what she found: a place that is singularly committed to art and music. Proti komu? A kde? V Rize, v Tampere? Na to byste potřebovali křišťálovou kouli. Poslední test Čechy čeká v úterý proti Kanadě.

In this episode, Jennifer talks to piano prodigy, Nomi Abadi, who shares her journey growing up, what brought her to invent a new instrument, the NORY® Double Keytar, and also found the Female Composer Safety League. They talk about Nomi's beginnings with her ventriloquist dummy, Dennis, and how that ultimately led her to become a film composer. They unpack her creative process for composing which involves understanding the story and subtext of a film, finding visuals that inspire them, and using textures and instruments to deepen the impact of the story. They also discuss the power of music and its ability to create emotional experiences for audiences.  CW: mention of trauma, assault, grooming. About Nomi: A virtuoso pianist, singer, composer, activist, inventor of the NORY® double synth, and President of the Female Composer Safety League, Nomi Abadi started composing music when she was four years old, making her concert debut as a guest soloist with the Orange County Chamber Orchestra at age five. As a piano prodigy, she became one of Mannes School of Music in New York's youngest students ever at age eight, and performed with numerous orchestras nationally and internationally, including a solo Eastern European tour at age 11. As an artist, she released a full length album, Chase, No Running, and three solo EPs. Nomi has collaborated with various artists, including as pianist of the Grammy- nominated album "Sekou Andrews and the String Theory", a co-writer and guest vocalist on Satanic Planet's debut album on their single, “Devil In Me” alongside Dave Lombardo (Slayer/Misfits) and Justin Pearson (The Locust/Deadcross). Nomi sung the vocals on Jacquie Joy's club hit, “You'll Feel Nothing”. Nomi has earned over twenty film and video game composing credits, scoring for indie films and brands such as Apple®, BOSE®, Cartoon Network® and NASA®. In 2022, she was awarded the Outstanding Achievement Award in the Independent Shorts Fest for her score of the film, “The Unnatural Order”, and accepted into the Women's Weekend Film Challenge in New York. In 2020, Nomi founded the Female Composer Safety League, a 501(c)(3) whose mission focuses on the safety and empowerment of women composers. Her original instrument, NORY®, was a finalist in the Georgia Tech's Guthman Musical Instrument Competition in 2020, making its TV debut on the Emmy-nominated show, “The Afterparty” (Ilana Glazer) in 2022. Nomi is one of the only women in the world today to hold a keyboard instrument patent, and features NORY® in her compositions and live performance. Self-trust took a long time to take root in my spirit. The moment I mastered it, I taught it; and that was how my clients like Yenory Pouncil took the courage to step into the ownership of her own becoming. Lean in and learn how Nory created her first 6-figures within 9 months of hiring me and made $117K in the last 9 days! Discover the mind shifts that made her collapse time around her goal and what it really took to allow that amount of money to come into her life QUICKLY with ease and grace. Just as we are talking about BIG MONEY GOALS aren't just goals at all but are frequencies to which we should try to attune: I'm sharing the GOOD NEWS of how we hit #310 of the fastest growing, privately held companies of the Inc. 5000 list!   Key points discussed in this episode:  ✔️ You got to up the ante when you got six-figure courage, but you got million-dollar dreams.  Keep moving until you catch up with the desire you already created because you spoke it so long ago. ✔️ Your transformation starts when you are in acceptance of where you are RIGHT NOW. You are good enough, smart enough, strong enough, and more than ready to attune to the many good things that are to come for you. ✔️ When you see someone else winning, it's a peek of possibility for you!  Focus on the good that happens in the lives of others, and celebrate with them! That is the magic that brings goodness and success coming true in your own life. ✔️ The work it takes to achieve our dreams is mostly internal.  When your inside game is on point, when you're in complete trust in yourself, God, and the process — you could work on the Internet, make money and create a dynasty business.  ✔️ Serving people through my business and not having to pretend who I be is my life's biggest gift.  I have achieved milestone after milestone without wearing a suit, a string of pearls, or putting a weave in my hair to look more "professional." I have built a million-dollar business sporting a purple mohawk. What's possible for me is possible for you too. ——————————————————————————— Loved this episode? Know that it's your time. Listen, love, when you stop playing small and show up fully, your business and income will naturally grow as you do too.  Discover how to achieve the next Level of Authority and remove any blocks sabotaging your sales. http://shamecatankerson.com/

In this episode, I share some stories about my mother. She is the most influential person in my life and the reason why I have been able to accomplish what I have.  My mother was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma of the lung, stage four, on October 12th, 2012. I learned so much in the fifteen months that followed. I learned about the resilient woman who raised 5 kids while dealing with many ailments throughout her life, including seizure disorder, nervous system breakdown, high blood pressure, and more. She was incredibly strong. I did not know how strong she actually was until she went through radiation then the long months of chemo treatment. Both my sisters and my Aunt showed such strength in the face of the most devastating situations. I realized that these were my examples of faith, hope, courage, and love. They are my matriarchs. And although, I am stricken with the pain of great loss, I am filled with great joy knowing my mother ran her race and finished well. This episode is in honor of her. I also dedicate this story to my sisters Nory and Melissa, and my aunt, Mayra. You are my examples. I thank God for who you are and I look forward to all that we will share together in the years to come... --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/iris-goicochea/message
