(This podcast was previously published on January 8, 2021) Jesus Ministries, Joan Boney ... Where there is envy and strife, there is confusion and every evil work. (James 3:16) Recently I turned to God to ask HIM to judge a situation. God knows the exact truth. I don't know though I might think I know. There can be so much confusion if we get involved and try to straighten things out. I find it better to let the money go and protect my soul. A few years ago, God showed me this: "You will never make this world righteous or fair no matter what you do. It is the new heaven and the new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness." II Peter 3:13 Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. God provides for me and God always sees that I have an abundance on this present earth. God takes me in a way whereby I will be cared for and protected. Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to HIS purpose. So when there is strife, turn to God and let God judge. Just appoint God as judge and end the matter doing that which brings the worldly situation to an end. (Sometimes God will choose to give us a word or a dream to show us HIS view of the issue, but unless God gives us a word on the matter at hand, we just turn it over to God and rest in the assurance that God will sort it out and judge justly.) Don't we know that it is only a matter of time before we are removed from this present world and this world is destroyed by God? ***** God sets a situation up whereby HE can judge the wrong doers: I Kings 21 1 And it came to pass after these things, that Naboth the Jezreelite had a vineyard, which was in Jezreel, hard by the palace of Ahab king of Samaria. 2 And Ahab spake unto Naboth, saying, Give me thy vineyard, that I may have it for a garden of herbs, because it is near unto my house: and I will give thee for it a better vineyard than it; or, if it seem good to thee, I will give thee the worth of it in money. 3 And Naboth said to Ahab, The LORD forbid it me, that I should give the inheritance of my fathers unto thee. 4 And Ahab came into his house heavy and displeased because of the word which Naboth the Jezreelite had spoken to him: for he had said, I will not give thee the inheritance of my fathers. And he laid him down upon his bed, and turned away his face, and would eat no bread. 5 But Jezebel his wife came to him, and said unto him, Why is thy spirit so sad, that thou eatest no bread? 6 And he said unto her, Because I spake unto Naboth the Jezreelite, and said unto him, Give me thy vineyard for money; or else, if it please thee, I will give thee another vineyard for it: and he answered, I will not give thee my vineyard. 7 And Jezebel his wife said unto him, Dost thou now govern the kingdom of Israel? arise, and eat bread, and let thine heart be merry: I will give thee the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite. 8 So she wrote letters in Ahab's name, and sealed them with his seal, and sent the letters unto the elders and to the nobles that were in his city, dwelling with Naboth. 9 And she wrote in the letters, saying, Proclaim a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people: 10 And set two men, sons of Belial (the devil), before him, to bear witness against him, saying, Thou didst blaspheme God and the king. And then carry him out, and stone him, that he may die. 11 And the men of his city, even the elders and the nobles who were the inhabitants in his city, did as Jezebel had sent unto them, and as it was written in the letters which she had sent unto them. 12 They proclaimed a fast, and set Naboth on high among the people. 13 And there came in two men, children of Belial, and sat before him: and the men of Belial witnessed against him, even against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, Naboth did blaspheme God and the king. Then they carried him forth out of the city, and stoned him with stones, that he died. 14 Then they sent to Jezebel, saying, Naboth is stoned, and is dead. 15 And it came to pass, when Jezebel heard that Naboth was stoned, and was dead, that Jezebel said to Ahab, Arise, take possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, which he refused to give thee for money: for Naboth is not alive, but dead. 16 And it came to pass, when Ahab heard that Naboth was dead, that Ahab rose up to go down to the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, to take possession of it. 17 And the word of the LORD came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying, 18 Arise, go down to meet Ahab king of Israel, which is in Samaria: behold, he is in the vineyard of Naboth, whither he is gone down to possess it. 19 And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus saith the LORD, Hast thou killed, and also taken possession? And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus saith the LORD, In the place where dogs licked the blood of Naboth shall dogs lick thy blood, even thine. 20 And Ahab said to Elijah, Hast thou found me, O mine enemy? And he (Elijah) answered, I have found thee: because thou hast sold thyself to work evil in the sight of the LORD. 21 Behold, I will bring evil upon thee, and will take away thy posterity, and will cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel, 22 And will make thine house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah, for the provocation wherewith thou hast provoked ME to anger, and made Israel to sin. 23 And of Jezebel also spake the LORD, saying, The dogs shall eat Jezebel by the wall of Jezreel. 24 Him that dieth of Ahab in the city the dogs shall eat; and him that dieth in the field shall the fowls of the air eat. 25 But there was none like unto Ahab, which did sell himself to work wickedness in the sight of the LORD, whom Jezebel his wife stirred up. 26 And he did very abominably in following idols, according to all things as did the Amorites, whom the LORD cast out before the children of Israel. 27 And it came to pass, when Ahab heard those words, that he rent his clothes, and put sackcloth upon his flesh, and fasted, and lay in sackcloth, and went softly. 28 And the word of the LORD came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying, 29 Seest thou how Ahab humbleth himself before ME? because he humbleth himself before ME, I will not bring the evil in his days: but in his son's days will I bring the evil upon his house. All the words God spoke against Ahab and evil Jezebel came to pass. I Kings 22 19 And he said, Hear thou therefore the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left. (God determined the death of Ahab.) 20 And the LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramothgilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner. 21 And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will persuade him. 22 And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And HE (The Lord) said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so. 23 Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee. So the prophets of Ahab told him to go forth to battle. Ahab was killed in the battle. God brought about that which God wanted to do concerning Ahab. Concerning evil Jezebel: II Kings 1 (Time passes after the death of Ahab.) Then God sends a prophet to anoint Jehu so HE can use Jehu for the destruction of all the house of Ahab and fulfill the prophecy which HE spoke over Jezebel. 6 And he (the prophet of God) arose, and went into the house (of Jehu); and he poured the oil on his head, and said unto him (to Jehu), Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I have anointed thee king over the people of the LORD, even over Israel. 7 And thou shalt smite the house of Ahab thy master, that I may avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the LORD, at the hand of Jezebel. 8 For the whole house of Ahab shall perish: and I will cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel: 9 And I will make the house of Ahab like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah: 10 And the dogs shall eat Jezebel in the portion of Jezreel, and there shall be none to bury her. *** The death of Jezebel: II Kings 9 30 And when Jehu was come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it; and she painted her face, and tired her head, and looked out at a window. 31 And as Jehu entered in at the gate, she said, Had Zimri peace, who slew his master? 32 And he lifted up his face to the window, and said, Who is on my side? who? And there looked out to him two or three eunuchs. 33 And he said (concerning Jezebel), Throw her down. So they threw her down: and some of her blood was sprinkled on the wall, and on the horses: and he trode her under foot. 34 And when he was come in, he did eat and drink, and said, Go, see now this cursed woman, and bury her: for she is a king's daughter. 35 And they went to bury her: but they found no more of her than the skull, and the feet, and the palms of her hands. 36 Wherefore they came again, and told him. And he said, This is the word of the LORD, which HE spake by HIS servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, In the portion of Jezreel shall dogs eat the flesh of Jezebel: 37 And the carcase of Jezebel shall be as dung upon the face of the field in the portion of Jezreel; so that they shall not say, This is Jezebel. II Kings 10 10 Know now that there shall fall unto the earth nothing of the word of the LORD, which the LORD spake concerning the house of Ahab: for the LORD hath done that which he spake by his servant Elijah. 11 So Jehu slew all that remained of the house of Ahab in Jezreel, and all his great men, and his kinsfolks, and his priests, until he left him none remaining. 17 And when he (Jehu) came to Samaria, he slew all that remained unto Ahab in Samaria, till he had destroyed him, according to the saying of the LORD, which HE spake to Elijah. *** God always judges justly and God always accomplishes HIS purpose concerning individuals.

Episode 2.57The letters are shorter now. The tone is quieter. The man who once turned the world upside down writes from a cell, preparing to hand the mission to others. In this final chapter of Paul's story, Zach and Michael explore the Pastoral Epistles — 1 & 2 Timothy and Titus — tracing the voice of a man who has nothing left to prove and everything left to give.Paul's words reveal a mentor, not a martyr; a father in the faith, not a fading apostle. He remembers mercy (“Christ Jesus came to save sinners, of whom I am foremost”), sets things in order (“Appoint elders in every town”), and finishes with peace (“I have fought the good fight…”). The “Old Soldier” models what it means to end well — not by strength, but by steadfastness.Covered in this episode:– How grace defines identity even after decades of ministry (1 Tim. 1:12–17)– Why Paul's legacy is measured in disciples, not monuments (2 Tim. 2:2; 4:6–8)– What “guarding the good deposit” means for the next generation (2 Tim. 1:14)– Why aging in faith should deepen gratitude, not cynicism– How the gospel teaches us not just how to live, but how to finishTakeaway:The mark of maturity is not how loudly we start, but how faithfully we end.Paul finishes his race not defeated, but fulfilled — a man at peace with both his failures and his finish.Find our videocast here: https://youtu.be/NoJUe3bNuYUMerch here: https://take-2-podcast.printify.me/Music from #Uppbeat (free for Creators!):https://uppbeat.io/t/reakt-music/deep-stoneLicense code: 2QZOZ2YHZ5UTE7C8Find more Take 2 Theology content at http://www.take2theology.com
President John Mahama is scheduled to appoint new Ministers for the portfolios of Defence and Environment this month. The appointments are urgently needed to fill vacancies left by the administration's losses, which include Omane Boamah and Murtala Mohammed. Acknowledging the impact of these departures, the call is for the President to swiftly name their replacements.
President Trump's recent call for an investigation into the Jeffrey Epstein scandal — even though driven by his desire to target political enemies — has unexpectedly opened the door to the one thing victims, journalists, and the public have demanded for decades: a full, unfiltered, scorched-earth investigation into the entire Epstein network. Regardless of Trump's motives, the demand for a comprehensive inquiry is long overdue. The evidence already available is more than sufficient to launch a massive multi-pronged federal RICO case involving human trafficking, financial crimes, money laundering, international transport of minors, conspiracy, bribery, foreign intelligence ties, prosecutorial misconduct, and systemic institutional corruption. If accountability is real, then every person connected — billionaires, politicians, bankers, intelligence agents, celebrities, academics, royals, lawyers, prosecutors, and yes, Donald Trump himself — must be investigated without exception or favoritism. Justice cannot be selective. No more theatrics, no more distraction campaigns, no more redaction games. The only viable pathway forward is the appointment of an independent special investigator with absolute authority — someone outside the political system, immune to pressure, blackmail, influence, or partisan interference. The investigation must include full subpoena power, unrestricted access to financial records, sealed depositions, recovered digital evidence, and sworn testimony from every powerful figure who once believed they were untouchable. Anything less is cosmetic theater. This is no longer about Republican vs. Democrat, or about protecting reputations — it is about whether the United States still possesses the moral backbone and institutional will to pursue truth when it threatens the elite class. If Trump truly has nothing to hide, he should welcome the spotlight. If others do, they should tremble. The time for excuses has expired. Appoint the investigator. Open the vault. And let the truth burn.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.com

Did you know that the concept of spiritual covering originated from the "Shepherding Movement" in the 1970s? Many prideful leaders are pounding ungodly doctrine down the throats of many wounded Christians ... manipulating and trying to gain control over souls, which is a form of witchcraft. This pattern is still being witnessed in various churches and on social media as a worldly recognition; often involving occult impartations and the glorification of self! A spiritual covering is NOT required for accountability. Let's be clear: You're covering and ultimate authority belongs to God, NOT man! Be wary of leaders who twist Scripture and prioritize submission to themselves over God. There are dangers of occult traditions and rituals that glorify self and place humans as divine authority, my friends! Spiritual coverings are a SCAM: You're covering comes from our Creator, not His creation! Isn't There One More?1 Samuel 16:1-131 Samuel 3:19-20 19 Samuel grew. The Lord was with him, and he fulfilled everything Samuel prophesied. 20 All Israel from Dan to Beer-sheba knew that Samuel was a confirmed prophet of the Lord. 21 The Lord continued to appear in Shiloh, because there he revealed himself to Samuel by his word.1 Samuel 8:19-2219 The people refused to listen to Samuel. “No!” they said. “We must have a king over us. 20 Then we'll be like all the other nations: our king will judge us, go out before us, and fight our battles.”21 Samuel listened to all the people's words and then repeated them to the Lord. 22 “Listen to them,” the Lord told Samuel. “Appoint a king for them.”Then Samuel told the men of Israel, “Each of you, go back to your city.”1 Samuel 9:1-21 There was a prominent man of Benjamin named Kish son of Abiel, son of Zeror, son of Becorath, son of Aphiah, son of a Benjaminite. 2 He had a son named Saul, an impressive young man. There was no one more impressive among the Israelites than he. He stood a head taller than anyone else.1 Samuel 13:13-1413 Samuel said to Saul, “You have been foolish. You have not kept the command the Lord your God gave you. It was at this time that the Lord would have permanently established your reign over Israel, 14 but now your reign will not endure. The Lord has found a man after his own heart, and the Lord has appointed him as ruler over his people, because you have not done what the Lord commanded.”1 Samuel 16:1-51 The Lord said to Samuel, “How long are you going to mourn for Saul, since I have rejected him as king over Israel? Fill your horn with oil and go. I am sending you to Jesse of Bethlehem because I have selected for myself a king from his sons.”2 Samuel asked, “How can I go? Saul will hear about it and kill me!”The Lord answered, “Take a young cow with you and say, ‘I have come to sacrifice to the Lord.' 3 Then invite Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will let you know what you are to do. You are to anoint for me the one I indicate to you.”4 Samuel did what the Lord directed and went to Bethlehem. When the elders of the town met him, they trembled and asked, “Do you come in peace?”5 “In peace,” he replied. “I've come to sacrifice to the Lord. Consecrate yourselves and come with me to the sacrifice.” Then he consecrated Jesse and his sons and invited them to the sacrifice. Male– yesGood Family– Matthew 1:5-6Prominent Family1 Samuel 16:6-7 6 When they arrived, Samuel saw Eliab and said, “Certainly the Lord's anointed one is here before him.”7 But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or his stature because I have rejected him. Humans do not see what the Lord sees, for humans see what is visible, but the Lord sees the heart.”ImpressiveStature– beautiful eyes and handsomeThen the Lord said, “Anoint him, for he is the one.” So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully on David from that day forward.1 Samuel 16:12b-13aGod still moves through ordinary people, often unnoticed by the world, but seen by Him.Let God define your worth.Be faithful where you are.Trust that God knows what He's doing.God is still anointing Davids — people the world passes by, people whose names aren't in the headlines but whose hearts are after His. Don't despise the place you're in. That may be the very place where God is preparing you for His greatest work.
Send us a textIn this episode, we continue to discuss the structure or pattern of the church. We noted in the last episode that Paul had told Timothy to hold fast the pattern of sound words. We noted that part of that pattern was to appoint elders in each local church and we also noted that there was always a minimum of two elders appointed. There are specific qualifications that a man must meet in order to be an elder in the church. We discuss those. We then look at what the elders were responsible for doing. Paul had given them a warning in Acts chapter 20 that we talked about. We also noted that members of the congregation are told to be subject to the guidance of their elders for they would give an account to the Lord of their work. The next group of men who serve the local church are referred to as deacons. We look at the first mention of these men in Acts chapter six. As Paul did with selecting elders, he also provided the qualifications that a man had to meet in order to serve as a deacon in a local church. We look at those qualifications and note again that there were always at least two deacons in each local congregation. So up to this point, we have seen that the structure or pattern of the local church consists of Christ as Head, elders as spiritual leaders, and deacons as servants. Of course, we do have evangelists who preach and teach the word, but they don't have any other special role in the leadership or work of the church. The remainder of the local church is made up of disciples or saints. We look at a number of passages that refer to them. We close this episode out by noting the simplicity of the structure or pattern of the local church of Christ compared to that of man-made denominations. We will have more to say about this in the next episode. Take about 30-minutes to listen in on our discussion. Have your Bible handy so you can verify what we are saying. There is a transcript of this Buzzsprout episode provided for your convenience.

MDJ Script/ Top Stories for October 15th Publish Date: October 15th Commercial: From the BG Ad Group Studio, Welcome to the Marietta Daily Journal Podcast. Today is Wednesday, October 15th and Happy Birthday to Mario Puzzo I’m Keith Ippolito and here are the stories Cobb is talking about, presented by Times Journal Commissioners to appoint Ferrell police chief Oct 28 Popular cotton candy food truck opens first location in downtown Acworth Cobb Elections Board seeks pay raise, citing increased workload All of this and more is coming up on the Marietta Daily Journal Podcast, and if you are looking for community news, we encourage you to listen and subscribe! BREAK: INGLES 9 STORY 1: Commissioners to appoint Ferrell police chief Oct 28 The Cobb Board of Commissioners is set to make interim Police Chief James Ferrell’s role permanent on Oct. 28, with a vote followed by his swearing-in. Afterward, Ferrell will meet with community members, the county announced Monday. Ferrell, who stepped in as interim chief after Stuart VanHoozer’s April retirement, has been recommended by County Manager Jackie McMorris. While Chair Lisa Cupid initially considered Erika Shields, former Atlanta and Louisville police chief, as a candidate, the focus has shifted to Ferrell. Support for Ferrell is strong, with Commissioner Keli Gambrill and the Georgia Fraternal Order of Police backing his appointment. STORY 2: Popular cotton candy food truck opens first location in downtown Acworth After years of spinning sugar on the go, Gimme That Sugar has finally found a home. Lynn and Phil Lafferty, the couple behind the beloved cotton candy business, just opened their first storefront in Acworth on South Main Street. What started as a pandemic project—a tiny cart, a dream, and a lot of trial and error—has grown into a local favorite. “We had no idea people would love fresh cotton candy this much,” Lynn said. The shop serves their signature spun-to-order cotton candy (on glow sticks, if you’re feeling fancy), plus shaved ice, milkshakes, and more. “It’s surreal,” Lynn added. “A childhood dream come true.” STORY 3: Cobb Elections Board seeks pay raise, citing increased workload The Cobb County Board of Elections is asking for a big pay bump—over 200%—citing the growing workload and expectations placed on its members. Right now, the board chair gets $200 a month, and members get $150. That’s it. Those rates haven’t changed since the early ’90s, back when meetings were short and infrequent. Now? They’re meeting two or three times a month, often for hours, plus prep work, state meetings, and more. The board wants $600 monthly for the chair and $500 for members. Some commissioners agree a raise is overdue but think the jump might be too steep. We have opportunities for sponsors to get great engagement on these shows. Call 770.799.6810 for more info. We’ll be right back. Break: COBB FALL FESTIVAL STORY 4: Sheriff’s office donates sneakers to middle schoolers The Cobb County Sheriff’s Office teamed up with No Bull Apparel on Oct. 8 to deliver nearly 100 pairs of sneakers to students at three Cobb middle schools—Garrett, Lindley, and Pearson. Chief Deputy Rhonda Anderson and other CCSO leaders personally handed over the shoes, a gesture aimed at supporting kids who need it most. “It’s about more than sneakers,” one official said. “It’s about showing these students we care.” The sheriff’s office thanked No Bull Apparel for stepping up and investing in Cobb’s youth, calling the partnership a meaningful way to build community and promote wellness. STORY 5: Marjorie Taylor Greene sounds alarm over expiring health care subsidies as shutdown continues As the government shutdown drags on, Georgia’s congressional delegation is locked in a messy blame game. Then there’s Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene—doing her own thing. She’s breaking with her party, slamming both sides over skyrocketing health care costs. “I’m carving my own lane,” she posted online, saying premium hikes will hit her kids and her Northwest Georgia constituents hard. Meanwhile, Democrats and Republicans are at each other’s throats. Democrats blame GOP leadership for the shutdown, while Republicans insist it’s not about health care—it’s about funding the government. And the health care crisis? Still looming, unresolved, and deeply personal for Georgians. Break: STORY 6: Square Threads owner Boozer McClure leads fundraising in Ward 3 bid Local business owner Boozer McClure has taken the lead in fundraising for the three-way race to replace retiring Ward 3 Councilman Johnny Walker. McClure, who owns Square Threads on Marietta Square, has raised $30,000, outpacing city planner Daniel Gaddis ($26,000) and retired educator Nora Gaudet ($12,500, including loans). Despite raising the most, McClure has spent less than his opponents, leaving him with over $21,000 in the bank. His donors include attorneys, developers, and local restaurateurs, with notable contributions from The Barnes Law Group ($2,500) and Mac’s Chophouse owner Randy McCray ($1,000). Election Day is Nov. 4. STORY 7: Chalktoberfest’s 13th year draws thousands of guests, 100 artists Chalktoberfest took over Marietta Square last weekend, and honestly? It was pure magic. Streets became canvases, with 100 artists from all over—Italy, Mexico, Ukraine—turning pavement into masterpieces. “It’s like the Super Bowl of chalk art,” said Erika Thurkins, who’s been coming for seven years. This time, she drew Jane Goodall, calling her a “huge inspiration.” Meanwhile, Heather Cap brought the ’80s back with a portrait of John Candy as Barf from Spaceballs. “It’s silly, it’s nostalgic—it’s perfect,” she said. The art? Temporary. But that’s the beauty—it’s here, then gone. We’ll have closing comments after this. Bongani Bingwa speaks to Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Mamoloko Kubayi, following mounting criticism over President Cyril Ramaphosa’s appointment of a panel tasked with selecting the next head of the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA). With current NDPP Shamila Batohi set to step down in January, questions are being raised about the qualifications of those choosing her successor. Critics say the panel lacks sufficient legal experience, undermining confidence in the process. Minister Kubayi, who chairs the panel, pushes back against these claims — but Bongani asks: how can a committee without deep legal expertise be trusted to appoint South Africa’s top prosecutor? 702 Breakfast with Bongani Bingwa is broadcast on 702, a Johannesburg based talk radio station. Paul instructs Titus to appoint elders over the new churches that have been established on the island of Crete. Then he gives a list of character qualifications that these new elders must possess. These are the character qualities that must also be present for elders in churches today.
Hello! Greetings and welcome to SendMe Radio — Peace, blessings, and love to you! If this is your first time here, welcome to the family! In 1 Samuel 8, the elders of Israel approach Samuel with a bold request: “Appoint a king to lead us, such as all the other nations have.” Though Samuel was grieved, the Lord revealed that this was not a rejection of Samuel's leadership, but of God's kingship over His people. Samuel warned them of what a human king would demand—taxes, service, and authority over their lives. Yet the people insisted, desiring to be like other nations rather than embracing the unique identity God had given them. This chapter reveals the dangers of rejecting God's rule for human substitutes and reminds us to place our trust not in earthly leaders but in the eternal King, Jesus Christ. As you reflect on this passage, ask yourself: Are there areas where you've sought human solutions instead of God's perfect plan? Today is a call to realign your heart with the King of kings. Stay tuned to SendMe Radio for more Bible readings, Gospel music, and encouragement for your spirit.

This week's parsha opens with Moses' command: "Appoint judges and officers at all your gates." On the surface, it's about building a legal system. But our commentators go deeper: every person is a city, with gates of eyes, ears, and mouth. And just as a city needs judges and guards, so do we. Elul is the season of checking what enters and leaves those gates. What do we choose to see? What do we let ourselves hear? What words do we send into the world? To judge ourselves is hard; to guard ourselves is even harder. But this month, Moses' call is clear: take one step, however small, toward making those gates holy. So how do we begin—by lofty resolutions or by one small, practical change? Tune in to find out.
A street advocacy group is calling on the city to revoke approval for a pilot program that'll allow a self-driving taxi company to test out their cars in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Plus, federal judges have formally appointed Joseph Nocella Jr. as U.S. attorney for New York's Eastern District. Meanwhile, a nonprofit housing group wants to build an affordable housing complex in the South Bronx. And finally, immigrants across New York City want safer, better paying jobs but they face a major hurdle: building digital skills.

Doesn't that suggest the state is already heavily gerrymandered?
