What if the numbers that dominate headlines tell you less about the economy than the price of your groceries, your rent, and your ability to start a family? We sit with writer and analyst Amanda Claypool to unpack Main Street economics, A.I.'s shock to white-collar work, and why trust in legacy media has frayed. Amanda's path—from near-CIA ambitions and defense contracting in DC, to cross-country pandemic travels, to building “Tomorrow Today” on Substack—offers a rare, ground-level view of how policy choices ripple through real lives. We get candid about the post-2008 era, cheap money's illusions, and the gap between Beltway incentives and the daily reality in deindustrialized towns. Amanda explains why she sees generative A.I. as a Gutenberg-level inflection point: it can upend tasks, compress status ladders, and force a deeper question about what remains uniquely human. That's where judgment, relationships, and ownership of outcomes come in—and why careers built on brittle prestige need a rethink. We also explore culture and gender debates, how career-first narratives can overshoot, and what resilience looks like when jobs evolve faster than institutions.Throughout, you'll hear practical advice for navigating uncertainty: learn the language of economics and accounting, treat A.I. as leverage rather than a threat, and stop hunting only for “a job.” Instead, find work—concrete problems you can solve and get paid for—while investing in community, family, and skills that compound over time. If you're looking for a grounded, nonpartisan take on media, money, technology, and meaning, this conversation cuts through the noise and gets to what actually matters. You can further engage with Amanda:Tomorrow Today on Substack: https://tomorrowtodaynow.substack.com/ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@amanda_claypool My book on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FZ52SVL3/ref=sr_1_2 Enjoyed the episode? Send us a textHow to humiliate a tyrant could be the subtitle to today's presentation. Haman is forced to honor his enemy, Mordecai, on the king's orders. If Haman had ceased from hating Mordecai, he could have changed his tomorrow, today. In this presentation, we will learn how to change our tomorrow through humility, how honoring others leads to blessings, how to deflect our enemy's attempts to curse us, and how God's timing in blessing us is perfect. I'm record keeping my time on the playa this year after my 10th burn! What an experience it was. Both highs and lows but we remained conscious throughout; regrouped, rebuilt, refortified our systems. Burning Man has always felt like a training ground to me. Where we go to gather in the desert, weaving together our many strands of creative energy to build an entire city that stands for a week in a place that is trying to kill you. It has always felt like souls get called here to bring the threads of external culture into a microcosmic experiment of counter culture; where each member of this journey is an initiate and participant. A place where everyone is needed, everyone's stories have room to be told, and everyone's light and shadow comes to take its own intuitive dance through the desert. It has always felt, to me- like we go to that place; not to escape reality, but to actually become more intimate and conscious of who we are within this external reality. And we are never escaping our problems by building homes in massive wind storms, cleaning off every single piece of our belongings from dust, and caking the mud off our shoes after the ground has been soaked in rain.. we are arriving to the playa to meet more of ourselves, and to become more embodied versions of ourselves.I've recorded episodes on my time at Burning Man before, but this year; given the strong projection field- both from external sources like news and social media; and also internal sources like my own readings, inquiry and intention for my time there.. it felt appropriate to sit down and get some of my own thoughts out about it. What I always leave the playa remembering is that- people are the evidential purpose for me in this walk of life. And my highlights are almost always connected to the moments we are just hanging out at camp, working through interpersonal dynamics, taking long bike rides and walk abouts with our people where we're chatting and playing, and interacting with the desert and all of its psychedelic and spiritual inspirations. I hope this episode offers you a unique perspective and expands your own thought process about counter cultures and their direct and immediate impact on the external "default" reality. How this city is built and destroyed in one week is a template for the the worldwide curriculum we are each stewarding. There is no running away at Burning Man, there is simply just you surrendering- towards something. And that's the magic. It always gives you what you need, never what it is you think you want. It's one of the largest ego deaths, both personally and as a collective alchemy for the way it ripples back into society. No one is ever the same after these portals open. Whether we think its good, or bad- is really just our own projection field. I think we have a lot to learn from what is created, built, fortified, and dismantled when people work together. I think we still have a lot to learn from Burning Man- AND; I think society is doing their own version of burning the man too. So maybe we can take a piece from the playbook and bring fun and consciousness into the plot. Live Offers in the Wellness Weave:Current OffersWebsite: WellnessWeaver.comNewsletterInstagram
The letter to the Hebrews was written to encourage Christians in a time of trial. It does so by focusing on the absolute supremacy and sufficiency of Jesus Christ. While God spoke in the past “many times and in many ways,” he has now spoken to us “by his Son,” Jesus Christ, who is the “exact imprint” of God's nature and who “upholds the universe by the word of his power” (1:1–3). Jesus accomplished complete salvation for all who trust in him (1:1–10:18). We dare not “neglect such a great salvation” (2:3; 5:12–6:20; 10:19–39). Rather, in our faith and in our everyday living, we should imitate the example of Christ and of those on the honor roll of faith (chs. 11–13). This letter, whose author is unknown, was probably written between a.d. 60 and 70. Alon shares how Tastewise predicted the rise of air-fried vegetables, leading to 3x profits for one client. We talk about the future of food and beverage, how AI enables companies to stay close to their customers. From trend forecasting to strategic innovation, this is a must-listen for anyone navigating the intersection of AI, technology, and taste.
