What does it take to turn hardship into hope, and pain into powerful storytelling? In this inspiring episode, we sit down with Tyler Fisher, an LA-based writer, director, and producer whose career journey began not on a soundstage, but in a Charlotte shelter. From homelessness to Hollywood, Tyler's story is a beautiful tapestry of resilience, faith, and finding purpose through storytelling. With raw honesty and creative grit, he shares how a devastating football injury in high school redirected his path from the field to the page, and how writing became both therapy and a launchpad for self-publishing books, launching a clothing brand, and ultimately found his voice through film. Here's How We Can Stay Connected:Visit The Website: https://eicop.org/Follow Us On Social Media: / hbcuinlaApply For An Internship: https://eicop.org/how-to-apply/Support by Donating: https://eicop.org/donate/

Why in the Spanish speaking world the short story and the very short short story or flash fiction, as it is also called, are much more popular than in the Anglospeaking countries? Some of Latin American most revered writers have not written a novel, only short stories, and that suffices to consider them great authors. We invited Professor Tyler Fisher from University College London and four of his recently graduated students to talk about that. We also asked them to read their own micro short stories, to discuss African superstitions, talk about the versatility of Spanish verbs and the richness of English lexicon and its phrasal verbs plus the use of colloquial language and the costs of books in Chile. With Kate George, HM Harrington, Charlote Toon, Alice Franklin and Juan Toledo
