Send us a textWhen they heard these words, some of the people said, “This really is the Prophet.” Others said, “This is the Christ.” But some said, “Is the Christ to come from Galilee? Has not the Scripture said that the Christ comes from the offspring of David, and comes from Bethlehem, the village where David was?” So there was a division among the people over Him. John 7:40-43In the Book of John, we see a growing division occurring surrounding Jesus as we come to chapter 7. There are the Pharisees on one hand; bitterly opposed and against any claims that He is the Messiah. There are the adherents to His ministry; His disciples and other followers. But in the middle of both camps there is a third group: those who are in the middle ground and undecided about Jesus. They are compelled by His words. They know there is something about Him. But the naysayers are speaking loudly; trying to drown out Jesus' voice. As we look at this passage today, we must admit not much has changed in our world. There is still a middle ground group that is somewhere between belief and unbelief, faith and doubt. It is this group we must pray for and minister to. We are at the edge of great revival as many are turning to Jesus right now.

The fifth commandment instructs us to “Honor your father and your mother” (Exodus 20:12), a principle reaffirmed by Paul in Ephesians 6:2. But what does this mean for Christians whose parents are not believers? And how should believers respond when parents have been abusive or have damaged the relationship through sinful behavior? In this episode of Apostolic Life in the 21st Century, Dr. David K. Flipping the question "What must I do to be saved" (Act 16:31) to "What must I do to be unsaved?" is a way to see all the things that have been accomplished in an individual's salvation. In order for someone to lose their salvation, there are many things that would have to be undone or reversed, if it was possible. Charlie duscusses twenty-two results of salvation that a believer would have to undo in order for a person to lose their salvation. Of course, Charlie believes Christians cannot lose their salvation, so a discussion of the irreversible results of salvation help us appreciate what God has done by His grace. It is hard to listen to this description of God's blessings given to us at salvation and believe that they can be lost or denied. This is a good listen for any who want to defend eternal security or help others find their security and assurance of salvation. #EternalSecurity #LoseSalvation #GraceLifeMinistries #SimplyByGrace

Today's generation vary on how they see or “understand” God. As my past mentor and teacher, Dr. Norman Geisler use to say, “God created us in His image-and we have been returning the favor ever sense”. Today, through Matthew 7:21-23, I am going to show you that while God is merciful, patient, and not wanting any to parish, most humans demand of God that He (God) bend to become what they want God to be as opposed to their (our) bending to God-His will, and His ways. As a result, upon leaving their temporal life for the eternal, those who sought to make God in their own image will hear those fateful words, “I NEVER KNEW YOU”.Check out the Online Course "KNOWING GOD RIGHTLY" CLICK HEREJoin the COMMUNITY today at NO CHARGE at: CLICK HEREBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/reason-for-truth--2774396/support.

A cold hard fact of life is that the vast majority of humanity has lived and died without ever accepting Jesus Christ as their Savior--in fact, most of them without ever hearing His name spoken aloud. For many, this fact is more than a statistic, as they agonize with concerns about a dead loved one, unsure of their fate in the hereafter. Yet the true answer concerning the fate of the unsaved is far more joyous and hopeful than almost anyone understands! You need the hope of your Bible's answer to the question of where the unsaved go when they die!

Welcome back to the kitchen table. In 1 Thessalonians 5:14, we're instructed to "help the weak," a calling that takes on special meaning in the context of motherhood. As mothers, we are not tasked with making our children strong in their faith. That strength comes from God alone. Our role isn't to demand or push them beyond what they're ready for. Instead, we are called to come alongside them, to support them in their spiritual weakness, and to gently guide them. Our privilege is to walk with them, to pray for them, and to model the love and patience that comes from our own relationship with Christ. And we're not alone in this journey, the Holy Spirit is within us, equipping us with the wisdom and grace we need to fulfill this calling. Can I give you a word of encouragement? Your unsaved family members are on the mind of God. While He won't force anyone to believe in Him, He is actively pursuing them through His Holy Spirit. In fact, scripture tells us this is the reason God has delayed the return of Christ.Main Points:1. First, let me encourage you to pray faithfully and consistently. Resist the temptation to give up. Don't let the enemy convince you that your prayers do matter or that God is not listening. He is listening, He cares, and prayer is powerful.2. Second, pray God will soften their hardened heart. Pray they will begin to have a spiritual hunger that would cause them to seek and search for God. 3. Believe God will save them. The enemy of our soul will try to convince you that your unsaved family members will never be saved. We resist this temptation. Our faith is in a God who can save anyone. He loves your family. He sent His son Jesus to the cross to die as a sacrifice for their sins. Let's believe that all things are possible through Jesus.Today's Scripture Verses:2 Peter 3:9 - God is “patient, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”Luke 19:10 - “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”1 Timothy 2:3-4 - “This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.” 2 Corinthians 4:4 - “In their case, the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelievers to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”Quick Links:Donate to support this podcastLeave a review on Apple PodcastsGet a copy of The 5 Minute Discipleship JournalConnect on SocialJoin The 5 Minute Discipleship Facebook Group
Unity Without Compromise with Dr. Steven LaTulippe – These words should stir in us a serious pause for reflection. Jesus said a whole lot of people out there who are doing wonderful things for the kingdom of God think they are saved from eternal damnation, but they're not! Doesn't it send a chill down your spine? Like the apostles at the Lord's Supper after being told one of them would betray their master, should we also ask, “Is it I, Lord?

Why is it that so many people who claim to be Christians act no different than non-Christians? Why are our churches so divided? Why is there so much anger, bitterness, sexual sin, and gossip going on among professed Christians? Well…it could be that these people claiming to be Christians aren't really Christians. They might be “unsaved believers.” Today we will hear this from Jesus Himself as He teaches 2 parables that remind us that in the church there will be true born-again believers and false, unsaved believers. Then we will talk about what a true Born-Again Christian actually looks like! Join us today as we continue in the gospel of John.
