Leita Ford is the co-founder and host of the IDYLLFEST MUSIC & ART and CRAFT BEER FESTIVAL coming up on October 13th & 14th. The festival will bring much needed funds to the mountain residents who got hit hard by last year’s flooding. Leita Ford shares her incredible, up close and personal, UFO childhood experience - a summer filled with UFO's in the sky. Leita also worked on The USS Princeton and was close friends and colleagues with the US Navy Pilots who witnessed UFO's in 2004. A few confided in her about witnessing craft so foreign to them and the feelings that come with being sworn to secrecy. She recalls them being terrified of telling and how heroic it is that they've come forward and what that means for all of us. Leita also recalls the summer of UFO's she, her brother and boyfriend along with numerous other people from Charleston South Carolina saw. She tells the story of the one fateful night her crew got a personal visit and how it altered her life forever. Once you've experienced something other worldly your mind has become opened to infinite possibilities - which is what Carla hopes you'll take away from this show. Leita talks about the mentors she sought out and how her journey has lead her to a beautiful, spiritual space (old dairy farm) she's opening now and sharing with others. She's opened her door to the IdyllFest Music & Arts Festival, which was created with the community in mind to bring back commerce, music and Inspiration from the surrounding community which was hit hard with fires and flooding. Take a trip up, support the town while listening to sweet music and drinking craft beer or wine. We will be walking approximately 10 – 15 km’s. In 2015, I walked the Camino Frances to Santiago de Compostela in 40 days and averagely 22 km’s per day. In 2017, I walked via the Camino Norte and Camino Primitivo to Santiago de Compostela. And I just returned from Spain where I walked from Leon to Santiago in 13 days. I love to share some of my best practices on the Camino whilst walking. And it is also fun to practice together, share some pilgrim stories and have some meaningful conversations and grow our nature awareness together. Most of the time, I also share a nature-based tool that helps you discover more about yourself. What to expect? These Camino walks are hikes mainly in nature with some climbs and approximately 10 – 15 km’s. Please bring a backpack with a snack, sufficient water, and wear good hiking boots. This teaching explores the history and begins of the Seventh-day Adventists. The nineteenth century saw a literal explosion in the number of cults and religious groups springing up in the United States. Out of this spawning ground came the Seventh-day Adventists. In the 1830’s, a Baptist minister from New York by the name of William Miller began publicly sharing his new found belief, that Jesus Christ was going to return October 22, 1844. When October 22 1844 came and passed without the Lord’s coming, William Miller’s followers were left absolutely devastated, their hopes dashed into pieces!! It was against this backdrop that Ellen G. White emerged as a prophetess of a movement known as the Seventh-day Adventists. In this teaching we explore the nature and the substance of Mrs Whites visions and ask the question, are such visions compatible with a true Biblical experience.
