(Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Iranian authorities killed 19 Christians Article 18 reports Iran's security forces have killed at least 19 Christians during recent anti-government protests. The Islamic Republic's security forces brutally cracked down on demonstrators, including Christians.  Believers already face persecution for participating in activities like prayer gatherings, baptisms, and Bible distribution. In December, five Christians received prison sentences totaling 50 years for such activities. Iran is ranked 10th on the Open Doors' World Watch List of the most oppressive countries to be a Christian.  Nuclear deal between America and Iran Speaking of Iran, the country sent representatives to meet with U.S. officials in Geneva, Switzerland yesterday. The two countries agreed to “guiding principles” for a potential nuclear deal. At the same time, the U.S. is conducting a military build-up in the region. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said that striking a deal with Iran is difficult because of its commitment to radical Islam.  Secretary Rubio urged Europe to embrace Christian heritage Secretary Rubio addressed the Munich Security Conference in Germany on Saturday.  He criticized Europe for embracing globalism, open borders, massive welfare states, and climate activism. Rubio said, “We in America have no interest in being polite and orderly caretakers of the West's managed decline.” Instead, he called for European countries to partner with the United States on the basis of their common heritage—Christianity. RUBIO: “America was founded 250 years ago, but the roots began here on this continent, long before the men who settled and built the nation of my birth arrived on our shores, carrying the memories and the traditions and the Christian faith of their ancestors as a sacred inheritance, an unbreakable link between the old world and the new. “We are part of one civilization, Western civilization. We are bound to one another by the deepest bonds that nations could share, forged by centuries of shared history, Christian faith, culture, heritage, language, ancestry and the sacrifices our forefathers made together for the common civilization to which we have fallen heir.” Jeremiah 6:16 says, “Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; then you will find rest for your souls.” Border Czar: We arrested 4,000 illegals & recovered 3,000 kids in MN In the United States, White House Border Czar Tom Homan announced the conclusion of Operation Metro Surge in Minnesota last week. Immigration enforcement officers are in the process of leaving the state after having made over 4,000 arrests since December. Homan noted that officers also recovered over 3,000 missing children. HOMAN: “I.C.E. is a legitimate federal law enforcement agency. We're not out scouring the streets to disappear people or deny people their civil rights or due process. In addition to taking public safety threats off the street, I.C.E., here in this state, have located 3,364 missing, unaccompanied alien children -- children the last administration lost and weren't even looking for.” Planned Parenthood closes Florida abortion mill Planned Parenthood announced Monday it will close one of its abortion mills in Florida.  The Lakeland, Florida killing center will fully close next month. This ends 50 years of the abortion giant's presence in the area.  Planned Parenthood locations have fallen from 567 in 2021 to 488 last month. However, Katherine Van Dyke with American Life League warned, “By shedding this ‘dead weight,' they're not retreating. They're regrouping to push the abortion pill regimen through virtual channels, streamlining abortion on demand.” 348th anniversary of Pilgrim's Progress And finally, this week is the 348th anniversary of the publication of John Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress. His first volume of the book was announced on February 18, 1678. Bunyan began the work from prison. He was sentenced for holding unsanctioned religious services. Despite suffering for his faith, he produced a Christian classic that would influence the church for centuries.  The 19th century English preacher Charles Spurgeon, who read Pilgrim's Progress 100 times, said of Bunyan, “Read anything of his, and you will see that it is almost like reading the Bible itself. White House border czar Tom Homan said on Feb. 12 that a significant drawdown of immigration enforcement agents in Minnesota is underway. He proposed that the surge there should end.Homan touted de-escalation efforts and cooperation between state and local officials and federal immigration agents. Homan and a small number of federal agents will remain on the ground to transition "full command and control back to the field office."Federal and local law enforcement officers are continuing the search for Nancy Guthrie, mother of "Today" show host Savannah Guthrie. Authorities say they believe she was taken against her will after last being seen at her home on Jan. 31.FBI agents combed the desert near Guthrie's Tucson-area home on Feb. 11. They also knocked on doors and searched through bushes and boulders in the neighborhood.Authorities say several hundred detectives and agents are now assigned to the case, which has captured national attention.

The Trump administration announced Thursday that it is ending what it called “Operation Metro Surge.” At its height, the more than two-month long immigration enforcement action brought 3,000 federal officers to the state. The Trump administration is reducing the number of federal law enforcement officers in Minnesota. AP correspondent Donna Warder reports.

AP Washington correspondent Sagar Meghani reports the Trump administration says it's immediately pulling about 700 immigration agents out of Minnesota.

Border Czar Tom Homan has said he'd take federal immigration agents out of Minnesota if local leaders cooperate. And one form of cooperation that he's said the federal government wants is more access to people in county jails. Some counties notify ICE when people who could be deported are about to be released from jail. Sometimes, the jails hold these individuals for ICE for up to two days. And some counties don't do any of these things. MPR News host Kelly Gordon spoke with Linus Chan, an immigration lawyer and law professor at the University of Minnesota, to explain why there's variation in how sheriffs handle immigration detainers in county jails.

White House border czar Tom Homan made his first public remarks Thursday after arriving in Minnesota earlier this week to oversee federal immigration enforcement. Homan is assuming leadership of the surge of federal agents from Border Patrol commander Greg Bovino, who had been the face of the operation.MPR News host Emily Bright spoke with MPR's Estelle Timar-Wilcox, who was at this morning's news conference, about what she heard.

1. Phone call between President Trump and Governor Walz President Donald Trump stated on Truth Social that Governor Tim Walz called him to discuss cooperation related to Minnesota. Trump said the call was “very good” and that they were “on a similar wavelength.” Trump said he would send Tom Homan (former ICE acting director) to work with Minnesota officials. 2. Immigration‑related demands from Trump Trump outlined several expectations for Minnesota leaders: Turn over all criminal undocumented immigrants currently held in state/local custody to federal immigration authorities. Cooperate with ICE by transferring all undocumented individuals arrested locally. Assist federal officers in locating and detaining undocumented immigrants with criminal histories or outstanding warrants. 3. Broader claims made by Trump Trump referenced: A $20+ billion welfare fraud investigation in Minnesota. Ongoing federal scrutiny of Rep. Ilhan Omar concerning her reported wealth. He linked these issues to unrest and protests occurring in Minnesota. 4. White House press secretary comments The press secretary emphasized the administration’s stance on: Ending “anarchy and chaos.” Prioritizing law and order. Alex Pretti was a 37-year-old ICU nurse at a VA hospital when he was shot dead by federal officers while recording them with his cell phone Saturday morning in Minneapolis. And, like Renee Good just 19 days ago, he was smeared by the administration, defamed as a "domestic terrorist" bent on massacring law enforcement within just hours of his death. Tonight, three sources are now telling CNN that the face of the crackdown here, Border Patrol official Gregory Bovino, and some of his masked agents, are expected to leave Minneapolis tomorrow.
