What if the very institutions meant to uplift us are the ones holding us back? That's the question at the heart of my conversation today with therapist and author Andrew Bauman. Through years of research and interviews, Andrew has uncovered a troubling reality within the church, one where women often feel marginalized, silenced and forced to make themselves smaller just to keep the peace, one where sexism, abuse and misogyny are happening. This stands in stark contrast to the vision of the Church that Jesus proclaimed, a community of radical equality, justice and love. So how did we get here? And more importantly, how do we find a way forward? Andrew believes one of the answers lies in men like himself doing the hard work of confronting their own biases and misuse of power. It means churches created spaces for Open dialog, for elevating women's voices, for building a culture of true mutuality and respect. This is a vital conversation for the future of the church. Andrew is convinced that change is possible that men and women can work together to embody Jesus, to look more like Him. The revolution that became the Protestant Church was the discovery that Scripture teaches us to rely on Christ alone. We depend solely on the merits of Christ. I merit nothing. I am joined to Christ by faith, so that his merits become my own, and I am free from having to work for spiritual rewards. Jesus is good enough on my behalf. Now I can joyfully respond in thanks by living for Jesus' whose merits alone save me.

There is still no priestly ordination for women in the Catholic and Orthodox Church. In the Protestant Church, however, the spiritual office is open to both women and men - at least in Germany. However, this has not been the case in Australia so far and this has led to tensions with the German Evangelical Lutheran church in that country. Hopefully this dispute has now been resolved, says Christian Hohl, pastor of the German Evangelical Lutheran Church Sydney.
Patrick takes an unflinching look at a sensitive issue: the fate of souls who leave the Catholic Church. He discusses the grave implications of walking away from the faith, as explained by Catholic teaching. He dives into why the Catholic Church believes it's the true path to salvation, touches on scripture, and the necessity of baptism and the Eucharist. For those on a similar journey, he recommends “Lumen Gentium” by Pope Paul VI, and insightful reads like "Why Be Catholic?" and "Surprised by Truth." Will - I am considering converting to the Catholic Church. You said that someone who left the Catholic Church wouldn't go to heaven. Does that mean that only Catholics go to heaven? (00:32) James - My mom left the Catholic Church when I was young and my aunt left the convent, and I don't think they are going to hell. I want to reassure the listeners that their loved ones are in heaven. (20:35) Kathy - I was offended by you when you said I wouldn't go to heaven if I wasn't Catholic. Now, I am in RCIA and want to thank you for saying it the way you did. (38:33) Melissa - I left the Church but came back. Had I stayed in the Protestant Church, I would have not been saved because I was living a bad life without boundaries. (42:20) Steve - I agree that the Catholic Church is the visible Church. I think that there is more space for people than you are giving to these people. I think there should be more mercy. (45:36) Herbert - I am 90 years old, and I am hurting. I don't understand how people can love Jesus. (47:35)
In this episode, I had a conversation with Tammy Peterson. Tammy is the wife of Dr. Jordan Peterson, the world-famous psychologist and author. Tammy recently converted to Catholicism so we discussed the reasons for her conversion and why she chose the Catholic Church instead of a Protestant Church or the Eastern Orthodox Church. We also discussed the role of architecture and fashion in our society and how they can help orient our lives toward what is good and true. We talked about the food industry and how it has become too complicated and foreign. We also discussed the carnivore diet and how it changed her and her family's lives. I hope you enjoy! **Discussion begins at 4:15**We are drinking some high tea and going back to England to talk about Queen Elizabeth I... not to be confused with the queen that just passed away. RIP. We're talking about Queen Elizabeth today because... guys... she could have been a man. Queen Elizabeth I is the last of the Tudor monarchy in old England. She was the daughter of the infamous King Henry VIII, and lived from 1533-1603, when she died at age 69. She was known for being the Virgin Queen because she never took a husband, and pledged herself to the service of England. During her reign she restored England to the Protestant Church, she executed the Queen of the Scots, Mary Stuart, and led the country to defeat the Spanish Armada. But was Queen Elizabeth really the virgin queen? Was it her who actually reigned for 54 years, or was it an impostor put forth to continue the Tudor dynasty?Send us a textSupport the showTheme song by INDA
Patrick dives into the miraculous stories behind the revered Miraculous Medal, explores the power of blessed sacramentals, and reinforces the duty of godparents to guide their godchildren in faith. He shares invaluable insights on maintaining devotion and explains why certain prayers should be reserved for priests. Gabriel – Do you think it's a good idea not to vote in the upcoming election? (00:42) Helene - What makes the Miraculous Medal so miraculous? (19:34) Brian - What is the significance of getting something blessed by a priest? (22:57) Ricky - I have a nephew who was baptized Catholic. Now he is getting “re-baptized” in college at a Protestant Church. (32:22) Portia - In the Bible, it says Jesus rose from the dead. The Creed says He rose 'again'. What does that mean? (43:11) Thomas - Are Catholic marriages that didn't have a valid priest still valid? (44:19)
We cannot understand the problems of where we are without looking to history. Church history is full of examples of the traditions of men being substituted in place of the word of God and the message of salvation by faith in Christ. The Protestant Reformation sought to bring people back to the pure source of the word, but even the Protestant Church has its add-ons. Study the word and focus on your personal relationship with God. The Role Of God In Hitler's Panzers East, https://lukeford.net/blog/?p=154804 David Stahel writes in his 2023 book Hitler's Panzer Generals: Guderian, Hoepner, Reinhardt and Schmidt Unguarded: A common set of beliefs that all four generals shared was their relationship to the Protestant Church and the significance this assumed in explaining their values and behaviour. Germany under Hitler was made up of 95 per cent Christians, and of these some 55 per cent were Protestants. The elite of the German officer corps was overwhelmingly made up of Protestants. This predominance had its roots in the Protestant Kingdom of Prussia, which dominated the German officer corps before the First World War and constituted the birthplace of Hoepner (Frankfurt an der Oder, 1886), Guderian (Kulm, 1888) and Schmidt (Berlin, 1886). Reinhardt was born in the likewise predominantly Protestant Kingdom of Saxony (Bautzen, 1887). Indeed, in 1907 only some 16.6 per cent of German officers were Catholic, which not surprisingly predetermined an enduring dominance of Protestants in the German high command of the Second World War. While one might assume a natural opposition between the Protestant Christian faith and the realities of wartime Nazism, the generals' letters reflect no hint of confusion or contradiction in that regard. All four generals alluded to God in their letters, sometimes in moments of open reflection, but also to buttress their periods of dejection and melancholy. Indeed, references to God in their letters show a remarkable increase as the year progresses. During the first fourteen weeks of the campaign (from June to the end of September) there were only nine separate mentions of God, but in the following nine weeks (October and November) this rose to thirteen references. Most remarkably, however, in December alone, when the harsh winter conditions took hold and the Soviet counter-offensive began, the number of references jumps to seventeen. This suggests an anecdotal correlation between adversity and religious motivation, a trend that parallels the decline of Germany's fortunes in 1941. In order to ascertain the role and importance of religious belief among the generals we must look at context. While references to God are common to all of the letter collections, the devotion to faith was much less conspicuous in letters written by Hoepner and Schmidt. Both thanked God on a number of occasions, but less as explicit references to deeply held beliefs and more as simple turn of phrase. https://odysee.com/@LukeFordLive, https://rumble.com/lukeford, https://dlive.tv/lukefordlivestreams Superchat: https://entropystream.live/app/lukefordlive Bitchute: https://www.bitchute.com/channel/lukeford/ Soundcloud MP3s: https://soundcloud.com/luke-ford-666431593 Code of Conduct: https://lukeford.net/blog/?p=125692 http://lukeford.net Email me: lukeisback@gmail.com or DM me on Twitter.com/lukeford, Best videos: https://lukeford.net/blog/?p=143746 Support the show | https://www.streamlabs.com/lukeford, https://patreon.com/lukeford, https://PayPal.Me/lukeisback Facebook: http://facebook.com/lukecford Book an online Alexander Technique lesson with Luke: https://alexander90210.com Feel free to clip my videos. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oppenheimer_(film), https://www.takimag.com/article/thin-man/ Steve Sailer writes: I praise Oppenheimer strongly even though I don't particularly like Nolan's penchants and predilections. For instance, Nolan has practically no sense of humor. Despite his flair for self-dramatization, J. Robert Oppenheimer himself recognized that playing up his 1954 star chamber security clearance hearing as a historic cataclysm was overblown: “The whole damn thing was a farce, and these people are trying to make a tragedy out of it.” The Coen brothers could have done more with the extensive political passages in Oppenheimer, which revolve around Oppenheimer's Stalinist 1930s and the revenge the right-wing Jews Edward Teller and Lewis Strauss took upon him in the 1950s. The Anglo-American Nolan doesn't bring any particular insight into the conundrum of why Jews came to be associated with nuclear weapons in the 20th century, rather like Germans and rockets or WASPs and eugenics. If anything, the movie is overly critical of Oppenheimer, choosing to probe his contradictions and flaws relentlessly when it could have devoted more time to showing how a theoretician in his late 30s suddenly turned himself into the recruiter and manager of the most famous assemblage of talent in history. What made Oppenheimer the Danny Ocean of physicists, the leader whose judgment of their skills the other sages found nearly foolproof? Oppenheimer was to physicists what Johnny Carson was to comedians: their rightful St. Peter, worthy of judging them. https://lukeford.net/blog/?p=154804 David Stahel writes in his 2023 book Hitler's Panzer Generals: Guderian, Hoepner, Reinhardt and Schmidt Unguarded: A common set of beliefs that all four generals shared was their relationship to the Protestant Church and the significance this assumed in explaining their values and behaviour. https://odysee.com/@LukeFordLive, https://rumble.com/lukeford, https://dlive.tv/lukefordlivestreams Superchat: https://entropystream.live/app/lukefordlive Bitchute: https://www.bitchute.com/channel/lukeford/ Soundcloud MP3s: https://soundcloud.com/luke-ford-666431593 Code of Conduct: https://lukeford.net/blog/?p=125692 http://lukeford.net Email me: lukeisback@gmail.com or DM me on Twitter.com/lukeford, Best videos: https://lukeford.net/blog/?p=143746 Support the show | https://www.streamlabs.com/lukeford, https://patreon.com/lukeford, https://PayPal.Me/lukeisback Facebook: http://facebook.com/lukecford Book an online Alexander Technique lesson with Luke: https://alexander90210.com Feel free to clip my videos. The Protestant Reformation was a necessary correction to the doctrinal and moral errors of the Catholic Church. It aimed to restore Christianity to its biblical foundations and liberate believers from what reformers saw as the oppressive and corrupt practices of the medieval Church. This movement has had a profound and lasting impact on the religious landscape, shaping the development of Western Christianity and influencing broader cultural and intellectual currents. #brendonnaicker #swindonchurch #catholicswindon #goanchurch #swindongoan #swindon #theologyschool

It's Tuesday, March 19th, A.D. 2024. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson Algerian pastor sent to prison for holding “unauthorized religious meetings” Please pray for Pastor Youssef Ourahmane, Vice President of the Protestant Church of Algeria. He has been sentenced to a year in prison for holding “unauthorized religious meetings.” His appeal will be heard in court on March 26. Algeria, Africa is ranked the 15th most dangerous country worldwide for Christians. Argentinian President Javier Milei blocked by liberal Senate Argentinian President Javier Milei has met more resistance from the nation's Senate. Milei's 300 proposed deregulation reforms packed into the mega-decree bill went down in flames last week by a Senate vote of 42-25. Plus, another set of reforms, referred to as the Omnibus Bill, failed last month to make it through the nation's Senate as well. Senate Leader Schumer vs. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu Last week, Chuck Schumer, the Democratic Senate Majority Leader and the highest-ranking Jewish official in America, called for Israel to hold new elections for a new Israeli government, registering his concerns for the “civilian toll” in the ongoing war on the Gaza Strip, reports The Guardian. SCHUMER: “The [Benjamin] Netanyahu Coalition no longer fits the needs of Israel after October 7th. Nobody expects Prime Minister Netanyahu to do the things that must be done to break the cycle of violence, to preserve Israel's credibility on the world stage, and to work towards a two-state solution. “He won't disavow ministers [Finance Minister Bezalel] Smotrich and [National Security Minister Itamar] Ben-Gvir in their calls for Israelis to drive Palestinians out of Gaza and the West Bank. He won't commit to a military operation in Rafah that prioritizes protecting civilian life. He won't engage responsibly in discussions about a day after plan for Gaza and a longer term pathway to peace.” Appearing on Fox News, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu ridiculed the idea of a two-state solution. NETANYAHU: “Hamas had a de facto Palestinian state in Gaza. And what did they use it for? To massacre Israelis in the worst savagery that was meted on Jews since the Holocaust. “We just had a vote in the Knesset the other day, 99 against 9. Our Parliament members voted against the attempt to impose on Israel a Palestinian state. The vast majority of the Israeli public understands that a Palestinian state, the way that it's being envisioned, would be an enormous danger to Israel's future.” Netanyahu scoffed at Schumer's assertion that Israel needs to agree now to a minimal military operation against Rafah, a city in the Gaza strip where Hamas' remaining battalions remain. In addition, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu responded in an interview with CNN over the weekend, calling Schumer's comments “totally inappropriate.” He reiterated Israel's commitment to “bringing down the Hamas tyranny.” Gen Zers more perverted than Gen X or Baby Boomers Almost one-third of Gen Z women, between the ages of 18 and 26, identify with some form of sexual perversion, according to a recent Gallup survey. Ten percent of men call themselves “LGBTQ” as compared with 28% of women. That's up from just 2 to 3% among the Baby Boom Generation, and 4 to 5% among the Gen X Generation. According to Gallup, “Overall, each younger generation is about twice as likely as the generation that preceded it to identify as LGBTQ+.” The total number of Americans that identify with sexual perversions stands at 7.6%, up from 3.5% in 2012. New Mexico, Oregon, and Nevada have the most homosexuals The Public Religion Research Institute reports that the state with the highest population of people professing to be homosexual live in New Mexico, followed by Oregon and Nevada. Republicans disenfranchised with homosexual agenda The recent PRRI survey has found that Republicans are becoming increasingly disenfranchised with the homosexual agenda. The proportion of Republicans that would bring punitive measures on Christian-owned businesses that refuse service for homosexuals on religious grounds has dropped from 41% to 34% since 2021. Overall, 60% of Americans are still in favor of punitive measures on Christian businesses holding to their values. Matthew 11:20-22 says that “[Jesus] began to rebuke the cities in which most of His mighty works had been done, because they did not repent: 'Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. But I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment than for you.' ” Homosexual activists win in Florida Homosexual activists are claiming a “major victory” in Florida over a settlement involving the Parental Rights in Education Act signed by Governor Ron DeSantis in 2022. The law prohibited classroom instruction on homosexuality and transgenderism to children 5 through 8 years of age (or kindergarten through third grade). The settlement filed in the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals now will allow it in literature, in classroom discussion, and in teachers identifying same-sex or transgender spouses or partners. The settlement also will allow so-called “Gay-Straight Alliances” for 5 through 8-year-old children, homosexuality in the library books, and third-party lecturers to take up the subject. Surprisingly, 41% of Florida schools have Gay-Straight Alliance clubs. That makes Florida the tenth most pro-homosexual state in the U.S. by this metric. Commercial real estate in hot water Commercial real estate is in big trouble this year. About $1 trillion in mortgage bonds are maturing this year, representing about 20% of the entire market. This comes at a time when the market for commercial real estate tumbled 50% in a single year. As of January 2024, the 30-day delinquency rate has increased 300%, year over year, according to BusinessInsider.com. Scientists discover a star 500 trillion times brighter than our sun And finally, scientists have discovered a quasar which is the brightest luminary in the universe as far as we know, reports European Southern Observatory. Quasar J0529-4351 is said to be 500 trillion times brighter than our sun. That's the brightness of 5,000 galaxies in one quasar, which is 12 billion light years away from our earth. Quasars form at the center of a galaxy, powered by a massive black hole in space. This unforgettable interview with Steve Lee starts out with a bang, and gets pretty intense as some Conversion Stories tend to do. Join us as we explore the profound impact of unity within our faith journey. Discover how aligning with biblical principles can open the door to God's blessings, giving us an edge in life that goes beyond mere morality. It's not about achieving perfection but about fostering a relationship with God that naturally cultivates a desire for a moral compass. Our conversation reveals how this approach can transform our lives, as we understand that true productivity and blessings are within reach when we walk in faith.Key Takeaways:Unity is a powerful force that Jesus desired for his followers. It involves thinking alike and walking in the unity of the spirit.Conformity, often associated with religion, should not be confused with unity. Conformity focuses on external practices, while unity is about aligning one's mind and spirit with God's teachings. The Catholic Church has successfully achieved unity through consistent practices and rituals, allowing Catholics worldwide to worship in a unified manner. In contrast, the Protestant Church lacks unity, with numerous denominations and varying beliefs and practices. This lack of unity can lead to confusion and a lack of clarity in faith. To experience true unity, individuals should study the teachings of the first-century church and understand the principles that guided their faith.Looking for more? For the last 500 years there has been a rift between the Protestant Church and the Catholic Church. Both think they're right and both think the other are the heretics. The problem is there have been a lot of misconceptions when it comes to what Catholics actually believe and the history of the Church split. Pastor Scott sits down with local Missoula priest Father Hightower to talk about these differences in a fun yet informative way.
