What's up Benchwarmers!! It's a three piece for this episode Diego, Jon, and Marco get down to review the prime action over the weekend! City win over Leeds and Haaland can't break the current Prem goal scoring record.. is this really the record holder? This is your God? At least that's what Diego would say after having his heart broken. Arsenal take it to Newcastle and become only the second team after Liverpool to beat them at Saint James Park. It looked like either squad was going to waste and run the clock as much as they needed until it became a standstill. A team who's not standing still however, is Liverpool who are slowly creeping back up the table after one nil win against Brentford. It looks like Klopp has his attacking men all in a row, except for one who never decided to show… Arthur Melo, leaving Liverpool after a disastrous loan spell that saw him accumulate the grand total of zero minutes for the Liverpool Reds. Elsewhere in the league at the bottom there was an all out brawl between the relegation candidates with score lines, such as 5–3 5–1 4–3 it was 21 goals in a single match day. Incredible stuff for teams like Everton and Nottingham Forest. While also speaking of brawls we talk about the mayhem that was River Plate versus Boca Juniors in the Argentine league. A very dubious penalty and red cards given out like candy. This was another Derby for the books. We did get into a preview quickly for the champions league matches this week. We also went over the low expectations for the local MLS team. That is the New York Red Bulls. Plus an interesting insight on the frequent occurring ACL injuries to the women footballers of today. Benchwarmers what's going on we're back on this episode Marco, Jon, and Diego talking about all of the action in the Prem. We do want to talk about the banger of a match between Liverpool and Tottenham which ended 4–3. And also ended any credibility for Richarlison sadly. We also talk about Chelsea and what is not happening there after Lampard takes his sixth consecutive loss since taking over again. Is this going to be his legacy or is it simply just his love for the club? That'll shield him from any kind of criticism we guess. It's two on this episode as Diego and Gat down to record and go over all the action and gameweek 32 and gameweek 33 in the Premier league. Lampard just keeps going from worse to worse to unbelievably worse as Chelsea have lost five consecutive matches. We also had two slip ups by Arsenal drawing 3-3 with Southampton, and then losing 4-1 with Manchester City. There was a lot of action at the bottom of the table as well. There's rumors for Chelsea's next boss, Spurs have burned through two of them and it looks like United need a break as they drop points away to Tottenham. Oh and Haaland broke the 38 game goal scoring record much to Diego's pain. It's on zoom and it's on for you! We got a full house for this episode Benchwarmers. We talk about what went down between Liverpool and Arsenal at Anfield road. It was a Martinelli masterclass taking over the show when suddenly Klopp's men had a resurgence. Two points dropped or one gained for the Gunners? Then the wolves and the worries just keep coming for the blues. Chelsea can't find their form they lose to a wonder strike facing Wolves.. will Frank get his men back in shape? We also find champions league action this week and Chelsea didn't do much better as a two-nil loss to Real Madrid followed. It doesn't end there because Manchester happened to have the worst outcome possible once they faced Sevilla in the Europa league tie. Injuries to Varane and Martinez were capped off by two own goals with their two goal lead erased. It looks like this week in the Premier brought us many more surprises than we expected. Join us on this episode with Marco, Josue, Jon and Diego on the bench. The World Cup is over and to our dismay we are back to the sad reality without the excitement and wonder of the greatest tournament in world football. Argentina get the trophy and Messi lifts the prize with his nation. A legacy completed for many fans and many Argentinian faithful who waited for this crowning moment.
