We find ourselves seeking validation from those who know nothing about our story or circumstance. When validation has to be sought it is not really genuine. Those who have an opinion of our situation with no real knowledge of the circumstance are just phishing.
Actor, Gary Busey said, "If you take shortcuts, you get cut short." We take shortcuts thinking we are getting somewhere quick, but not realizing that we are robbing ourselves of opportunities to grow. We put the matter at hand above ourselves and even sometimes take ourselves out of it. Shortcuts are not in your best interest and here's why.

Why invest in something that never yields a positive return? Could you imagine investing money that you budgeted for your housing payment into a stock that yielded you a negative return? That is essentially what you do when you stress. Stress is a garment that matches no outfit? Let's take that thing and toss it in the hamper, or better in the trash!
Why reference the pain and suffering? Why do we think pain is the declaration of unfortunate times? Pain often turns from a source of fear to a source of guidance. Pain provides strength and we must embrace it, what comes with it, and not avoid it.
The media and many outlets will create these narratives telling us what a chain of events means. But at the end of the day, only one person is in control. Who's your narrator, and who controls your narrative?
We can honestly have whatever we want as long as we have the means for it. But is what we want really for us? We tend to go after what's not ours and either realize it was overhyped or realize it is more trouble than it's worth?
