In this episode we're continuing the journey of unpacking the 5 Human Design TYPES. As we explore these last three types, we share our own understandings of: *The Divine gifts (the unique magic!) of each type *The conditioned shadows (where culture can teach these types away from their authentic gifts) *The emotions to look for that can point to alignment AND misalignment (because “shoulds” can take us out of alignment pretty easily) *The aura of each (how the unique energy system of each type interacts with the world. . . and how it can feel to others) We explore those key points as well as offering some sprinklings of our signature quirkiness, personal experiences and perspectives from our own time swimming in the realm of Human Design & deconditioning. This week we're officially diving into the Human Design pool, and I'm bringing my friend and radical magic collaborator Laura Cardwell along to play! In this episode: *We share our unique, yet similar, paths of resistance AND love of the Human Design realm. For both of us it was a push-pull experience. * We discuss the overwhelm that's VERY common when starting the journey of learning about Human Design. . . and how we've navigated it ourselves. * We explore the embodiment aspect of deconditioning work and how we use this archetypal tool to play at the intersection of energy medicine AND more conscious perspective shifts. * We lovingly rant about the intellectualization of the Human Design field and the need to take this work out of the ego swirls of the head and into the heart. . . to really begin to LIVE our unique design. * We talk about the need to slow down, to practice patience and to really give space for the deconditioning process to “land” in our bodies and nervous systems. True deconditioning isn't quick fix transformation, it's lasting, sustainable empowerment, ease and magic. * And, of course, we sprinkle in some quirks and tidbits about how we've learned to navigate our friendship and business collaborations through the lens of our own designs. (hint: it's WAY easier!) This is only the beginning of a series on Human Design, so if you're a newbie, welcome! And if you've already been swimming in the realm of Human Design, then we hope our take on it will add something new to your journey! Life has a way of making sure we receive the lessons we NEED, and not just the lessons we WANT. It does this by showing us the same or similar patterns, people, and energies over and over again. . . sometimes even in different “costumes” and contexts. This episode is all about how to gracefully, curiously and compassionately navigate those cringey, uncomfortable and wound-y chapters of life that most of us would prefer to avoid. Here's the good news: There ARE approaches that make them far easier, more healing, more empowering. . . and believe it or not, even magical!. . . and THAT is exactly what I'm sharing this week! We've got a LOT of planets doing the retrograde dance right now, so I share what reflection they're inviting us into (in my own “I'm not an astrologer” sort of way), and I also share some of my favorite tips for navigating any another flavor of unexpected “completion tour” that shows up in your life. We can fear these chapters or we can meet them eye to eye with intention and grace. . . and when we learn to really BE with them, life tends to get a LOT more peaceful. Trust me. What does surrendered living really look like? How do we practice leaning into trust, even when it's scary, painful, or kicks our wounds? What does it really feel like to choose a life of conscious deconditioning? How do we honor our very real nervous system responses to uncomfortable life experiences while still choosing alignment with empowering truth? What does it mean to “soften into our power?” What practices can we use to navigate the battle between our conditioned egos and Divine guidance? THESE are only some of the things Chris Rinaldi, Reiki master and therapist, and I explore in this episode and we're excited to share our conversation with YOU! Our brains are designed to look for what's wrong, which often calls in more of that. Dominant culture has trained us to orient to a sense of scarcity, which creates limiting beliefs around what is and isn't possible. But a central part of making real deal magic is training your brain to get beyond those things, to look for sparkly bits of synchronicity, kindness, support, abundance and MAGIC. . . every day. What we focus on inevitably starts to expand in our lives. Which is why I'm sharing the details of MY magic making practice! Tune in and get the scoop on how to create your very own!
Today I'm joined by Nina Everflow. Nina is an e-learning expert who supports leaders across large and small organizations in developing meaningful learning environments for long-term impact and change. Her passion for personal transformation guides her unique approach to building learning environments inclusive of diverse people, places and platforms. In this episode, we explore. . . *Why community is essential if we want to be “bridge builders” committed to embodying the “new way” *How real, vulnerable, highly intimate and authentically human community is a powerful form of activism that creates far reaching ripples of change *Viewing necessary change connected to systems of oppression as both a social and political problem AND a human consciousness issue *Shifting from our conditioned expectations around independence toward reclaiming our inherently human tendency toward connection and interdependence *Coming home to the body as a guide toward truth, reclaimed full-spectrum humanity, shifts in consciousness and embodied activism *How daily choices in our relationships and businesses can be powerful forms of embodied activism and an investment in the world we DESIRE instead of the world we LEARNED to consent to. I'm thrilled to be joined by Cheri Honeycutt for a fab-o conversation! In this episode. . . *“We define The Velvet Rut” (or as I call it, the velvet ditch) - What it is and how we all can get stuck in it. *We explore the conditioned stories about being rescued. . . instead of rooting into personal power. *We discuss the concept of giving fewer f*cks about the wrong things so that we can give WAY more about the purpose-full things that will take us where we actually want to go! *And we share parts of our own journeys to make this whole conversation real - because EVERYONE navigates some version of a soft and alluring (velvety) uncomfortable “comfort zone”. . . including US!!! Full permission. . . what does that even mean?! Well, THAT'S what we're exploring in this week's episode, folks! In today's episode we explore: *What I mean when I talk about choosing to practice “full permission” expression - and how it IS NOT some sort of reckless, selfish approach to life that requires you to not care about others. *Why a commitment to full permission living is a radical practice of embodied activism (hint: because it fiercely challenges conditioning!) *How to actually begin to explore your authentic Self that lives beneath who you learned you “should be” *How small acts of permission and creative expression pave the way toward more embodied truth. *The difference between authentic pleasure and bypassing (one is rooted in alignment and the other is rooted in avoidance) *And I share my current working definition of play and some of the core aspects (according to Dr. Stuart Brown) that supported me in being LESS (overly) “responsible” and MORE playful. I'm so excited to be joined by Jessie Kneeland on today's episode! Jessi (they/them) is a body image coach, TEDx speaker, and author of the book Body Neutral, which is dedicated to helping folks overcome suffering from body image issues by stripping away the power and significance of their body/appearance so that they can connect more deeply to their worth as a person, through embracing body neutrality. In this episode we talk about. . . *How body positivity came in with great intentions, but has had some unfortunate unintended impact *How connecting with and appreciating the wisdom of the body in more unconditional ways can pave the way to all sorts of healing, empowerment and magic *The power of just LISTENING to the body without forcing an agenda. *And how redefining our relationship to our bodies may be one of the most powerful forms of activism we can practice! This one is JUICY and was a JOY to create! Big visions, offerings and leaps of faith call us toward deeper alignment. .. but, most folks aren't talking about how to ALIGN, they're telling us how to “make it happen.” Around here, we believe that forcing is overrated and stepping into aligned flow is a MUCH more enjoyable and inspired path. In this episode I share my step by step guide toward building and practicing energetic alignment to support the things that matter most in your life. We explore. . . *Creating SPACE for big vision, intuitive curiosity, and creating space for big visions to evolve. *Aligning TIMING by tuning into your intuition and the collective cycles and seasons. *Practicing energetic INTEGRITY and the necessary process of growth, healing and “becoming” by committing to EMBODYING the essence of the offering/vision/possibility yourself. *How to hold ALIGNED ENERGY while inviting folks in during a specific launch or manifestation period. Trust me, if you do these practices before taking massive action, things will flow a LOT more smoothly! Let's stay connected! Find me at: meghanomalleycoaching.com Or on Instagram @meghanomalleymagic
Episode 28: Embodied Deconditioning - Learning to work WITH the nervous system to make magic We live in a culture of mental focus, but SO much deconditioning work happens in the BODY, so this episode is all about exploring how to embrace the nervous system as a guide and partner in the process. When we talk about partnering with the nervous system, we're actually entraining our body to build capacity in some way. We build capacity for things that we decide matter - for our well-being, for our future, to move toward our greatest visions in life. In this episode, I talk about. . . *Expanding capacity for pleasure and ease *Teaching the nervous system to be with “necessary discomfort” *How to expand our ability to be in states of both stillness and “not knowing” *And the tricky dance between protective independence and co-creative interdependence and connection When we learn to partner with the body, to honor where it is and lovingly guide it toward when we want to go. . . aligned magic begins to unfold. Sometimes the most obvious things are the most easily overlooked, which is why today's episode is all about decoding and unpacking the meaning of some very commonly used words in the personal and spiritual growth realm - ALIGNMENT and MANIFESTATION If you aren't swimming in the sea of growth every day these words may feel both interesting. . . AND wildly vague or unclear. In this episode I talk about. . . *MY definitions and understanding of each of these words *What they ARE and what they are NOT *HOW they are both PRACTICED and EXPERIENCED *And how my favorite archetypal tool, Human Design, supports alignment, deconditioning and magic making. *And as always, some real talk so that you leave feeling affirmed in the inherent messiness and humanity of it all. Woo hoo! It's our final stop on the “unpacking the radical magic roadtrip” podcast series! And THIS episode is a game changer! Magical, intuitive and intentional yet surrendered co-creation as a daily practice and way of life will literally change EVERYTHING. Truly. In this episode: *I discuss what I mean by co-creation *I explore how co-creation as a practice is both inherently receptive AND proactive *I share why building a life and daily practices centered around magical co-creation is important, how it can enhance your life and path of greatest alignment, and what gifts it can bring. *I also share some of the very human ego blocks and conditioning that I've found can get in the way of magical co-creation so that you can spot them when they pop up (because they WILL!) *And I share some ways you can start practicing co-creation with the universe right now. *And finally I share some of my favorite magical stories from my road trip. Because when you open to Divine collaboration. . . well, sometimes the magic that unfolds is hard to believe! Let's stay connected! Find me at: meghanomalleycoaching.com
In episode 2 of this three part series, we're diving into all sorts of juicy gems of awareness and fun stories that emerged during my cross country roadtrip that was guided by intuition and connections along the way. In this episode: *I discuss how FOCUS is a powerful form of spell casting and magic making. Aaaaand how it's actually our responsibility to stay curious about what we're really focusing on so that we aren't feeding the stories we don't actually want. *I share about my commitment to challenge my ongoing allergy to EXPANDED and truly RECIPROCAL RECEIVERSHIP. Y'all, I've come a LONG way, but I knew I still had some blocks and blindspots, so. . . I practiced! A lot! *I explore the different flavors of RECEIVING. Hint: It's not just gifts and service from other people. It can also be a practice of receiving signs, gifts, beauty and direction from the Universe. *I share about my own ongoing practice of trading my brain's need for certainty for my soul's desire to play in the playground of wonder-full not knowing. Possibility emerges when we make space for the story that lives beyond our control-flavored desires, you know. Magic often wants to show us the dream beyond the dream. Stay tuned for the next episode where we'll build on this practice of wonder and unpack what I call “magical co-creation”! Let's stay connected! Find me at: meghanomalleycoaching.com
I'm back from my magical two month sabbatical and am SO excited to share the insights and magical stories with you! In this first episode (of the three part series): *I share with you WHY I went on this minimally planned cross country roadtrip. *I share HOW I honored the inconvenient intuitive tugs to do it, in spite of LOTS of logical reasons why I “shouldn't”. Bottom line: I knew I needed to test drive my magical theories in real life, it was time to feel what embodied freedom felt like in day to day choices AND I knew I needed to create a container to rewild my instincts . . .you know, without all of the to do lists and daily “shoulds” that can cloud my intuition. *I share how every single day I practiced LISTENING within, ACTIVE SURRENDER and “open palmed” FAITH to pave the way toward magical possibilities and highest good alignment. *I also share some fun stories, because truly this experience was SO MAGICAL! Join me in the next two episodes as I continue to unpack this radically magical roadtrip! Let's stay connected! Find me at: meghanomalleycoaching.com
This episode is a love note from me to you. It's personal, honest and about things that are happening in my own life. . . in real time. TLDR: I'm doing a big brave thing. . . I'm taking an extended time out and time off from my business. . . for the FIRST TIME EVER! Curious? Keep reading. In this episode I talk about: *How I came to my intuitive (and illogical) decision to take a two month sabbatical this winter while my home life is already in a state of necessary destabilization. *What deeply aligned intuitive hits feel like in the body (at least in MY body) *The powerful and at times wobbly practice of both sacred GIVING and courageous RECEIVING *The importance of “letting it all go” sometimes in order to make space for the “NEW” to flow in (and how I'm doing this with my business right now) *How I'm choosing to practice embodied freedom during my sabbatical (hint: it's a sort of radical magic road show!) and how the narratives we carry affect our sense of freedom in life. *How our level of energetic output must be balanced with our level of receivership if we are to avoid burnout or having our big beautiful fully-embodied service in the world stifled. There's a LOT in this episode and I hope it speaks to your heart and your unique journey of navigating grit and polishing your inner brilliance. I'll see you in 2023!
It's fall, y'all! Aaaaand, since we are part of nature, this season inevitably comes with all sorts of growth-inducing invitations to let go, grieve and courageously allow the changes that really want to happen for our highest good (trees drop leaves and we're invited to drop things too, you know). When we learn to allow this natural cycle of release to take place, taking compassionate and honest inventory of our lives and relationships we make space for new growth, more aligned possibilities and an overall greater sense of empowerment and lightness as we move through life. In this episode: *We explore the good-bad news that we don't get to grow and expand without also learning to honor and embrace the necessary (and often messy, feely and illogical) grieving process *I discuss how grief and letting go is far bigger than literal death of a person/ pet. Contrary to what we're taught, grief happens when we let go of anything (externally or internally) that we've held close. *We expand our understanding of HOW we experience grief - as it's FAR more than thoughts and stories in the mind. Grief must move through the body. *I share perspectives and practices to support you in releasing the things that are no longer serving and supporting you. . . because insight is great, but without aligned, empowering action we can stay stuck. This is a season of radical compassion, brave honesty, and fierce love. It's a time of doing the brave work of letting go, and then being really kind to ourselves and others as we navigate the messy alchemy. It's time to lighten your load, recalibrate your life and trust fall into your next chapter. . . because in order to invite in NEW magic, you must make space by clearing out OLD, outdated “stuff.”
I'm joined today with the fabulous “High Priestess Money Witch”, Serena Hicks. Serena's sacred money work is based on the belief that we ALL can get into the practice of loving ourselves, choosing ourselves, and trusting ourselves in spite of the conditioned beliefs we often have around money. The stories we learn have socialized us to stay scared, to not receive abundantly, to “play it safe” and to fear our power and capacity to be stewards of wealth, BUT there IS another way. . . a more magical and empowered relationship with money where we use abundance to positively impact not only our own lives, but to also CHANGE THE WORLD. If this episode resonates with you, you can learn more about Serena Hicks and her group program, The Boom-Boom Room, “where patriarchal programming about you and money goes boom” at www.serenahicks.com. As well as following her on social media platforms.
In today's episode we'll explore the radical idea of living a nonlinear life. Bottom line: We're sold a very rigid, linear story of how things “should be”, but humanity is NOT linear! So, let's get curious about WHY we think and believe what we think and believe so that we can have greater clarity about WHAT we CHOOSE to do or not do. In this episode we explore. . . *The core values of the systems of oppression that shape us. *How those core values shape the stories we accept as truth. . . even when those stories aren't made for us and don't honor real humanity. *Things to ponder to start unbinding ourselves from the rigidity of the “linear story” of success, relationship, and humaning, in general. *How nature is the most powerful teacher as we create new stories to serve true growth, healing and connection. *And what radical actions and practices support us coming home to our most expanded experience of living a human-affirming and empowering life? I'm so excited to share this episode with you all so that more folks can ride the organic waves of cycles, seasons and natural energies associated with being human. . . as THAT is where the magical alchemy really happens!
I am thrilled to introduce you to Nona Jordan. Nona is a mother, a trained psychotherapist, and energetic business coach, who is deeply committed to supporting women in redefining success and healing core wounds. In this episode we dive into exploring the concept of “Enoughness,” and what it's really like, as professional women, to try to embody a sense of sufficiency in a world that is constantly bombarding us with messages that it's some sort of elusive thing “out there” that we must keep chasing. . . which is exhausting! We are facing some potent collective invitations for healing right now, and Nona and I are doing our best to support that process. . . in our own lives AND in our work in the world. You see, when we dare to heal our core wounds around not being “_______ enough” (insert any specific story you learned or inherited around - wealth, goodness, intelligence, lovability, success, etc.), we begin to not only heal ourselves but also send powerful ripples of healing toward collective wounds (lineage, ancestry, and collective trauma). This is the magic of quantum entanglement y'all! If you're feeling an inner tickle calling you to deepen your personal power, this episode may speak to your soul. And if you would like to learn more about Nona, find her on nonajordan.com (and sign up for her newsletter, as it's rich with inspo!) or connect through any of her social media platforms.
I'm joined today with the absolutely amazing Mina Raver. Mina is MANY things, but in my eyes, more than anything, Mina is a brilliant, wise and fiercely dedicated activator, who believes that “impossible” is a limiting belief. In this episode we talk about the necessary (and long overdue) shake up that is happening in the collective, so much of our conversation is exploring what we've learned about creating change and what new approaches actually support forward movement. I mean, we can't solve the problems facing us by using the same approaches that created them, right?! We talk about what it's REALLY like to say yes to a purpose driven career path (hint: it's scary, messy, and humbling in addition to being deeply inspiring), and we talk about the 2000 Days Project that Mina has founded this year. This project is a collaboration of passionate change-makers who are willing to think outside the box in order to invest in creating a NEW way forward on both an individual and collective level. We talk big vision AND we're honest about our real experiences as two women who are walking our talk and doing our part to create massive ripples of positive change in this world. If you are intrigued and/or would like to learn more about The 2000 Days Project, you can find more information at 2kdaysproject.com or simply search Mina Raver.
This is not a conversation where I'm claiming to declare some sort of absolute truth. It IS a conversation about playing with a new, expanded, curious and compassionate perspective that might make life feel a bit easier, a bit more whole and that may support more healing. In this episode, I'm inviting you to play with the “holy-both and” of healing and explore some “what ifs”. . . *What if we don't make any ONE aspect of healing THE focus, but instead stay curious about ALL of them? When we think holistically, we MUST look at the physical (obviously) but often the mental, emotional and spiritual aspects are overlooked. *What if we stopped looking at things “going wrong” and started putting energy toward de-coding what the body is actually trying to tell us beneath the discomfort and fear? There is power in getting beyond blame, victimhood and attachment to how things “should be” to create space to de-code what MUST be for us to be more whole, more interconnected, more empowered and more connected spiritually. *What if our bodies are just trying to show us the things, people, perspectives and beliefs that we're still holding onto that are actually causing harm? (self-betrayal, ignored grief, bypassed pain, unlived truth, etc.) *What if our body is trying to get us to move authentic emotions that we thought we had to suppress in order to survive? (but are now weighing us down and eating away at us from the inside) *What if our body doesn't have any idea about right/ wrong or good/ bad when it comes to situations, it just knows what's aligned and healthy for us. . . outside of the stories of who/ what we “should be/ do”? What if it's the most honest compass we have? Healing has a LOT of layers and this conversation is meant to open the door to going a bit deeper with it all in service of expanding our understanding of real deal empowering, sustainable healing, as I believe that the body is our most helpful guide in our deconditioning journey. . . especially when we can actually receive the gifts and guidance it's trying to offer.
In this episode, I'll share my perspective on the massive collective shift that is happening in our country, and how we can work with the heaviness, strong emotions, social polarity and stuckness that so many of you are feeling right now. Key ideas in this episode: *We live in a world where we are not taught how to hold big, intense emotional experiences in healthy, productive ways. And we must learn to work WITH intense emotions to create powerful change. *Deep change follows a nonlinear model ~ it's cyclical. It's messy. *We rarely get to do it alone ~ we need input, perspective and energy from others to co-create real, lasting transformation. *Surrender is part of the recipe. We must practice letting go and releasing what we know to make space for something new. *Foundational change, healing and transformation is always macro AND micro ~ everything you do to heal yourself affects the world, and everything going on in the world affects you (even when we think we're separate from what's happening to others). *I hope this episode affirms your oh so human feelings, inspires you to continue down your own path of healing, and helps you feel a bit less “stuck” in your ability to keep moving forward with your unique and precious part in co-creating collective change. Let's connect! https://www.meghanomalleycoaching.com/
Today I am joined by my friend and coachy colleague, Dani Fake, Dani is a trained psychotherapist + depth coach (and is also the reason I originally made the leap from therapist to coach myself). In this episode we'll go deep with stories about Dani's spiritual nomading journeys + brave leaps of faith, AND we'll also get very real about the brutiful (and at times wildly overwhelming + unpredictable) nature of the path of soul-led expansion. . .because honoring the soul's callings and practicing radical faith is NOT the narrative we're most often taught. This episode explores our tendencies to avoid soul whispers with the knee jerk conditioned response of “I can't because…?” in order to move toward the more curious and open response of “I wonder how I can?. . . or I wonder what might be possible if. . . ?” We'll explore what it can look like to courageously say YES to the often “illogical” invitations to grow, expand and practice radical faith, because magic-making often requires that we let go of “the plan” we had to open to unimaginable possibility, and trust. Next level ACTIVE trust = next level MAGIC and this episode will offer some real stories of what it can look like to practice radical trust. Connect with Dani Fake: on her website, Danifake.com or Linkedin @danifake.
Really, folks. When it comes to magical humaning alignment. Is. EVERYTHING! In today's episode, we will unpack this core concept -like wtf does it really even mean?, and we'll explore HOW to practice it. Because it IS an ongoing, active PRACTICE. The bottom line is that we have far more choice than we realize about aligning with deep truth OR with external expectations, with blazing our own trail OR with fitting in and making nice. The voice of compassion tells us it's ok to be scared but the voice of alignment calls us to be brave enough to make the choice that is most authentic and true. . . and when we align with what is most real and true THAT is when the next level magic finds us. Well y'all, after lots of reflection, a 30 day experiment last winter and some reckoning during the last full moon, I've made a big decision to step away from social media for the foreseeable future. This decision to leave comes from sitting with what feels most true and what feels most aligned for ME - I'm not on some sort of “anti-social media mission”, but I AM encouraging you to get real and honest about what a healthy and aligned relationship with it would look like in YOUR world, based on YOUR authentic needs and values, NOT what some online business coach or “social media expert” tells you. So, why am I leaving? *If social media was an in person gathering, I'd literally never attend - too much glossy veneer, proving, and faux vulnerability for me. *I choose to make EMPOWERED decisions rather than those rooted in fear or scarcity mindset - I was “should-ing” and “have to-ing” all over myself! *In my world, RECIPROCITY matters in ALL relationships, not just with other humans - and my relationship with social media was waaaaay out of balance! *I thought it was the only way to honor my values of SERVICE and ACCESSIBILITY - It SO isn't! I'm more creative than that! (stay tuned!) There are other reasons mentioned in the episode, so if you're pondering your own relationship with social media, there will definitely be some food for thought! Want in on the new creations that are in the works with all of the extra energy I created by leaving? Sign up for my newsletter at: meghanomalleycoaching.com
I'm joined once again with my partner and sweetie, Peter Cram, as we continue to share about our own learning and growth navigating the journey of conscious partnership. This episode tells a story of pain (literally and emotionally) and vulnerability. . . yep, always more vulnerability in conscious partnership. Here's the thing, we all have protective responses to our relational wounding patterns. So, how can we use our conscious partnership to align against our patterns that perpetuate old wounds and no longer serve us? In this conversation, we explore how we navigate our own relationship with healing intention. . . even when someone “stubs their toe on one of our tender (and often unconscious) wounds.” When we create a culture of partnership that actually HEALS those tender wounds that we carry and RELEASES some of those protective layers that keep us small, scared and stuck, well. . . THAT is pretty magical.
I'm SOOOO excited to be joined on the podcast today with my wise and wonderful friend, Michelle Barry Franco. Michelle is an ah-mazing speaking and thought leadership coach who changes lives daily with her powerful toolbox and wildly loving flavor of support. In this conversation, we discuss being both professional AND vulnerable, how we both dance with the practice of sharing our own hearts with the world (in spite of “professional conditioning”), and untethering from the things that keep us small, silent and stuck . . . All while learning how to live from a place of being unleashed (in our own unique ways) so that living from a place of greater joy and freedom is possible. Yay that, right?! This episode is all about learning how to say what you really by letting go, surrendering and unleashing YOUR authentic self. Paradoxical? Totally! A path that leads to magic + greater personal and professional joy + more humanized impact? 100%!! Find Michelle and learn more about her magic at https://michellebarryfranco.com/
It's time to explore the dance between gratitude and desire! And to play with your own inner “gratitude-desire toggle switch” I'm bringing in characters from one of my all time favorite movies: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (because you know I love a good metaphor for growthiness!) Charlie Bucket has very little, works hard, suffers quietly and composts his experience through gratitude (and suppression of desire) in order to protect himself from the painful or disappointing parts of his reality. Veruca Salt, on the other hand, has unbridled, self-obsessed desire running her life, which creates chronic disappointment and insatiability. And the central character, Willy Wonka, shows up somewhere in the middle, blending gratitude AND desire, fueled by BIG, out of the box vision that supports him in creating truly mind-blowing possibilities. In this episode you'll be able to reflect on which character you're most like and which character points to your growth edge . . . because we're ALL fine-tuning our magical “gratitude-desire tuning dials” daily to find that sweet spot that allows us to make magical alchemy the present moment (whatever that looks like) AND cast our desires forward to create wondrous possibilities and dreams realized in the future.
It's time to explore one of my favorite magic-making practices: Empowered Surrender. Empowered Surrender lets us release what no longer serves us so that we can make space for what we really desire AND what is aligned with our new, ever-evolving self. So… what is Empowered Surrender, really? And what exactly are we surrendering to? How do we know we are receiving an invitation to surrender and what are some of the signs? And HOW do we practice this seemingly paradoxical and often elusive-feeling of “empowered surrender?” We'll be exploring ALL of those juicy questions in this episode, because I think it's time to get really real about what's feeling chronically heavy and hard, and to unclench the tight fists of control so that you can open to support, interconnectedness and mind-blowing magical possibility. . . clenched fists can't receive anything. . . especially next-level magic, you know.
It's time to explore an intentional, heart-breakingly “brutiful”, and hella brave way of BEING in the relationships that matter most to us. It's time to ditch a lot of what we've learned so that we can radically humanize the way we give and receive love. Bottom line: When it comes to our collective training on relationship + emotions, the dominant culture is very emotionally avoidant and/or codependent. Most of us have our own emotional go-to response - we either diminish, dismiss, and try to avoid high intensity emotions OR we rush in and try and save the day. Either way, intense emotions tend to scare the bejeezus out of many folks because we're not taught how to be with emotions, to be with others when they're in their messy feels, or to honor the deep feelings that arise within us when we're in the presence of someone else's fear or pain. . . BUT there IS a way to be WITH them, to LOVE differently (more bravely) and to truly HOLD EMPOWERING SPACE for those we love so that THEY feel empowered to be more fully human. THIS. IS. BIG. . . And oh so very healing for ALL involved!! It's time to reclaim our ability to love, be loved AND be fully human.
On today's episode, Pete and I are sitting down to answer some of YOUR questions about our own conscious relationship, what it's like to walk this path, to co-hold each other, and to trust after heartbreak. Often, we learn to navigate relationships from a place of mental “control,” trying to predict and ensure a certain future instead of listening to our intuition. . . instead of listening to the higher wisdom of LOVE, which may take us to places we didn't expect.. The thing is, next level relationship magic happens when we learn to see, hold, and really BE with ourselves and our partner in a full-spectrum sort of way. We center our relationship on supporting the PERSON and challenging the outdated and disempowering PATTERNS. In order to really hold each other in this flavor of partnership, we've found that it's a combination of trial & error, failing our way forward, and a LOT of uncomfortable conversations. #goodbadnews For us, building a conscious relationship is a process of showing up, staying present, + curious, and committing to taking steps in the direction of love more than fear. . . It's a mysterious, wobbly and brave path AND it sure is amazing where it can take you!
Today I'm joined by my partner, Peter Cram, and we're getting real with y'all to share our thoughts + experiences surrounding partnership. While our partnership works really well, it does NOT mean it's some sort of fantasy or vision of perfection!! It's a beautiful, growthy mess sometimes! AND we both have a real commitment to understanding the other person and their needs rather than getting stuck in our own pain + stubborn perspectives. This “brutiful” relationship has taught us a LOT about the pace of awareness, the path of growth and the journey of healing. So settle in as we invite you into our lives through our deep, rich conversation about conscious relationship, healing and unapologetically messy love.
It's time to redefine and expand how we think about LOVE! This week's podcast will focus on challenging our conditioning in order to view relationships as a spiritual practice instead of a pass/fail exam, or some ridiculously perfected fantasy of how it “should be.” We learn at an early age that in order to be loved, lovable and connected, we can't be ourselves. I'm inviting you to view relationships as an opportunity to learn about who we really are, for us to heal old wounds that prevent us from living empowered, and for us to otherwise “grow up” with the help of our relationships. In relationships, we have the opportunity to meet OLD patterns with NEW perspectives and NEW energies. When we navigate relationships with deep consciousness, curiosity and compassion, we have the opportunity to create magic. What IF there's an opportunity for growth, healing, awareness, and deep faith in EVERY relationship challenge?
Today we're gonna get a little extra magical as we dig deeper into the language of energy. As a culture we tend to not value the things we can't see ~ the energy BEHIND the “doing” that we're chronically immersed in. In order to be empowered with our energy, we've got to venture into some shadow shit. The shadow is the stuff we aren't aware of, the stuff that lives in the metaphorical basement of our psyche. The goal is to make the unconscious a bit more conscious. When we integrate and take responsibility for our shadow, we can be in greater alignment with our DOing, our SAYing AND our authentic BEing. And THAT'S when the magic happens! Our energy is our uniquely designed magic wand! And learning to fine tune it with awareness is truly a superpower.
Boundaries practice a seriously potent, but messy flavor of magic, folks! Solid, clean boundaries are sooooo powerful because they not only upgrade our interpersonal relationships, but they ALSO can lead to deep, personal healing. When we are courageous enough to release the familiar habits, stories, and patterns of conditioned self-betrayal in order to feel more connected to ourselves and our values, then we also start to feel safer in the world - less anxious, more at peace, and more supported. In today's episode, we'll break down what I call “The Anatomy of a Boundary”, a structure that helps us to look at boundaries in a more holistic, multi-layered way. We'll also take a hard look at the different TYPES of boundaries, as well as some ways to practice. It's a boundaries par-tay! Now, let's make some boundaries-flavored magic!
On today's episode, we're getting all cozied up to our “hustle-y conditioning”. We'll be taking a deep dive into how our values shape and define what we think about success by looking at humaning and work through the OUTSIDE IN + INSIDE OUT perspective. It's pretty easy to get hung up on the outside things that shape us but what becomes possible when we commit to staying curious and open enough to look within? (hint: it's probably pretty f-ing magical) Here are some of the magical questions we're going to be dancing with: What are the values that are shaping our narrative around hustle being “the way” + where did they come from? Do we want to continue to support and invest in these “learned values” any longer?!? What is the effect “hustle culture” has on our nervous system? (you know the part of us that is undeniably emotional, feely, truthy and human) How can we lean into the NEW way - one that isn't rooted in our conditioned hustle? It's time for hustle to die so that more humanized magic can rise, folks!
If you're curious about what the heck “magical humaning” means, then you're in the perfect place to get this party started! Here's the magical question: What if we could be fully human AND deeply connected to wonder, curiosity, and support beyond the human realm? This is a dance of the “holy both/and” ya'll!! The spiritual + the humaning, and the quirky + the mystical. . . and when we bring it ALL to the playground of life, it creates a magical alchemy that opens doors to SO many possibilities and perspectives - squee!! It's time to start having deep conversations that are messy, unapologetic, unfiltered, and yes, sometimes uncomfortable while at the same time being wildly affirming of the authentic human experience. If you're into THAT conversation, then you're DEFINITELY in the right place!
