In this inspiring episode of The Enterprise Sessions, Professor Michele Barbour sits down with Dr. Camilla Morelli, a senior lecturer in social anthropology at the University of Bristol, whose groundbreaking work with indigenous youth in the Amazon rainforest has taken an unexpected and powerful turn toward enterprise.  What begins as immersive ethnographic research with the Matses people of Peru evolves into a creative collaboration that empowers young people to tell their own stories through animation. Camilla shares how her passion for understanding childhood in rainforest communities led to co-produced films that are now shaping policy, influencing global youth agencies, and opening doors to commercial opportunities.

EPISODE 230 In a previous blog post and podcast entitled, The New Paradigm of the 4 Cs, I introduced the 4 C's of (1) Connection; (2) Cooperation; (3) Collaboration; and (4) Co-Creation, that are the new world paradigm for building meaningful personal and business relationships that shape the present and the future. Then I discussed the first concept of the 4C's, Connection in another blog post and podcast. Next, I discussed the second concept of the 4C's, Cooperation in another blog post and podcast. In this blog post and podcast, we go deeper on the third concept of the 4C's, Collaboration. Collaboration goes far beyond cooperation. Collaboration sparks the creativity. While cooperation aligns efforts, Collaboration combines individual strengths to produce something new. It is synergy, where the whole, the Collaboration end product becomes greater than the sum of its parts. How can you practice the concept of Collaboration in your own life? Within the New Paradigm of the 4 Cs, Collaboration, is not merely about working together, it is about unlocking collective brilliance, elevating individual contributions and preparing the conditions where co-creation becomes not only possible, but inevitable. Experiencing, acknowledging and embracing Collaboration creates a positive impact in your own life and in the lives of those you collaborate with. In this episode, we sit down with Dr. Robert Gray, Associate Professor of University Pedagogy at the University of Bergen in Norway, to explore a fundamental question about the purpose of higher education: should learning be an act of consumption or production? Maybe the best learning experiences don't simply ask students to absorb information—they invite students to actively re-write and co-create knowledge with the teacher.Dr. Gray's research draws on Roland Barthes' concepts of "readerly" and "writerly" texts, arguing that valuable learning happens when students are encouraged to "re-write" their classroom materials and become active producers of meaning. We discuss how students bring diverse perspectives and contexts to shared texts and lectures, creating something new and innovative from the materials we provide. As educators, we are challenged to foster an active, collaborative campus culture where learning becomes genuinely additive and co-creative.Learn more about Dr. Gray's research in his article: “Learning Is [Like] an Act of Writing: The Writerly Turn in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education”Other materials referenced in this episode include:Barthes, R. It's a realization that actually began to dawn on Iain a few years prior, after his mother died. He wasn't sure how to explain death to his children, so he turned to an early version of ChatGPT for help—and was so impressed by the poetry of its responses that he came away convinced of AI's immense potential as a thought partner for his creative work. On this episode, Iain talks about using AI to make more space for the creative parts of your work, and why, in a world where everyone has access to the same tools, it's never been more important to lean into the skills, context, and experiences that make each of us most unique—and most human.Learn more about Sounds Fun soundsfun.co~ ~ ~Working Smarter is brought to you by Dropbox Dash—the AI universal search and knowledge management tool from Dropbox. On this episode of Crazy Wisdom, Stewart Alsop sits down with Leo Guinan to talk about the Manhattan Project for Human Potential, his vision of AI as a tool for personal agency, and the Bottega model inspired by the Medici workshops as a way to reimagine networks, mastery, and transformation. The conversation moves through themes of exponential versus linear growth in the economy, the decline of manufacturing in Ohio, China's rise through complexity and control of supply chains, the dangers of time violence and information asymmetry, and the potential of prediction markets to reshape politics and business. Leo also shares his creative project Hitchhiker's Guide to the Future, which he's building as a group art experiment on Substack — you can find it at hitchhikertothefuture.substack.com.Check out this GPT we trained on the conversationTimestamps00:05 Stewart introduces Leo Guinan and they discuss the Manhattan Project for Human Potential, personal agency revolution, and the Bottega model rooted in Medici workshops.00:10 Leo reflects on networks vs. individuals, the genius–insanity line, and how exponential growth clashes with linear wages in Silicon Valley.00:15 They explore economic tension, the decline of wages, mastery in Bottegas, and the vision of decentralized innovation hubs.00:20 Conversation turns to Argentina, decentralization, and Leo's Ohio roots, tying local manufacturing decline, Anchor Hocking, and drug addiction to global shifts.00:25 Leo shares his frustration with student debt, the fakeness of the economy, and neuroses encoded into AI models like Gemini.00:30 They examine China's manufacturing dominance, mercantilism, complexity inflation, and the concept of time violence.00:35 Leo explains infinite predictors, cooperation, and consciousness as network awareness, citing Creator HQ as conscious technology.00:40 Discussion moves to rigorous mysticism, deterministic transformation, probabilistic futures, and the monkey and the pedestal metaphor.00:45 They analyze 1971 as a break between linear and exponential growth, compute access, surveillance states, and the power of human spite.00:50 Leo imagines algorithm manipulation, local AI, and prediction markets, referencing futarchy and political false choices.00:55 They close with Hitchhiker's Guide to the Future, Leo's group art project on Substack, and the rediscovery of ancient wisdom.Key InsightsThe heart of Leo Guinan's work is what he calls the Manhattan Project for Human Potential, a recognition that artificial intelligence isn't just about technology but about a personal agency revolution. He frames AI as a mirror that reveals how networks of people, rather than isolated individuals, drive intelligence and creativity. The Bottega model, inspired by the Medici workshops, is central to Leo's vision. By gathering diverse minds in tight-knit communities where mastery and exploration thrive, Bottegas become nodes of transformation — miniature Silicon Valleys where reality is fluid and imagination creates exponential value.A recurring theme is the structural flaw of modern economies: wages grow linearly while technology and capital compound exponentially. This creates systemic inequality, leaving most people crushed by rising costs while the top flourishes, a dynamic Leo witnessed firsthand in both Silicon Valley and his Ohio hometown.Leo introduces complexity inflation and time violence as hidden forces of the system. Complexity is rewarded over simplicity, making technology harder for everyday people, while time violence lets some actors leverage others' time to their own advantage, turning the economy into an arms race of asymmetries.Consciousness, for Leo, is about networks that are aware of themselves. He praises simple, embodied tools like Creator HQ that respect users' lived reality and contrasts them with AI systems unmoored from the real world. True mastery, he argues, is embodied, consistent, and grounded in human transformation rather than probabilistic shortcuts.Prediction markets emerge as a future-facing tool, offering a way to test decisions, hedge uncertainty, and surface blind spots. Leo envisions organizations running internal prediction markets and even rethinking politics by holding leaders accountable to explicit promises rather than vague partisan change. At the personal level, Leo is experimenting with transformation through his Hitchhiker's Guide to the Future project on Substack, a group art process that forces him out of his engineering comfort zone. He ties this back to ancient wisdom — from Buddha to Renaissance workshops — showing that the process of transformation has always been a deeply human practice we must continually rediscover.

In this episode, I open up about the art of trusting life, even when the unknown feels overwhelming. I explore how our bodies are living temples and how breath, sound, and presence can reconnect us to the subtle realms of spirit without needing substances. I reflect on moments of inspiration beyond the veil, the reality of duality, and why those micro-moments of choosing faith over fear shape the way we move through the world.I also share a very human season of dismantling—leaving a relationship, a country, and an academy—and how surrender, prayer, and daily self-holding carried me through. We look at the danger of spiritual bypassing and why authentic tantra starts from the ground up: feeling what's real, integrating it in the body, and only then rising into trust. This is about meeting life honestly and letting wisdom grow from the roots.Along the way, I offer the practices that keep me steady and clear: meditation, emotional release, gratitude, mindset hygiene, and creating spaciousness so spirit can move through. My hope is that you feel invited to remember the grand, organized design we're part of—and to co-create a life that feels aligned, awake, and deeply human.Chapters0:00 - Tantric Life Lessons for Awakening the Soul2:00 - The Sweetness of Letting Go of Resistance9:21 - Creating Spaciousness for Trust and Surrender

I'm over the moon excited to be unveiling and sharing the 8 Feminine Leadership Archetypes with you in this 10th season as a way for 'how' we can move through these transformational times. These archetypes are a reflection of what happens when we bring feminine presence into leadership, and value it. They can help us to stay clear and centered + strong in playing our part + empowered to wisely create realities that are rooted in wholeness, sustainability, freedom, harmony, love, connection + possibility... even if the mainstream world is reflecting a different reality.  I developed the Feminine Leadership Archetype model and system in 2018, based on 15 years of in depth study in feminine archetypal energy that spans across cultures, the energy is planetary. These leadership archetypes describe feminine presence and power - which is often not valued, compensated or even acknowleged within the systems we work, live and operate in. Although it is the energy that often holds everything together. It's the invisible things people rely on us for. It's what creates environments and cultures that foster people's growth, creativity and connectivity.  The archetypes give us language, symbol, metaphor, image and a sense of the energy within us we can access and apply. Coupled with traditional more masculine leadership energy, we then can create and model systems and power that reflect balanced leadership.  Here's what we will explore in episode #271: Illuminate: How we can embrace our own archetypal energy in a way that creates wholeness and harmony and empowers us to be co-creators of the realities we desire to see manifest. Educate: What are the Feminine Leaderships Archetypes and how we can apply these to our own lives, and then with the people, systems and causes we influences. A few words from our first archetype "The Creatrix:"  I birth new worlds … I hold the possibility of future generations in my hand, for who i care deeply and consciously, everything I need to create is within me, I am not here to feed the machine. I create freedom, love, harmony through the forms I midwife into being …  For the full Creatrix transmission tune in to this episode. What if I told you that while the world has undergone profound changes, our leadership approaches have remained largely stagnant? What if, instead of relying on hierarchical structures and top-down directives, leaders embraced a more effective approach based on trust and inspiration? In this episode of the Insight Out, I have the pleasure of sitting down with none other than Stephen M.R. Covey, a renowned author and an authority on leadership. We dive deep into the transformative power of trust and how it serves as a cornerstone of inspiration in leadership. Covey draws a stark contrast between the antiquated command and control style and the trust and inspire approach, which he passionately advocates for as being crucial in today's world, especially when dealing with knowledge workers. Throughout our conversation, Covey shares personal anecdotes and real-world examples that bring his concepts to life. Such examples are the leadership styles of Microsoft's CEO, Satya Nadella and the leadership approach of Zoom CEO Eric Yuan which epitomizes the principles we discuss. He then breaks down the three stewardships of a trust and inspire leader—modeling, trusting, and inspiring. Each of these plays a vital role in not just leading but empowering others to reach their full potential. Covey doesn't just leave us with theory; he offers practical advice on how to build agreements that lay the foundation for a collaborative and empowered workplace. Join us as we explore these insightful themes and let's uncover how trust and inspiration can reshape the landscape of leadership In this episode, you will learn the following: Leadership and its impact on individuals Shifting from command and control to trust and inspire leadership The principles of trust and inspire contrasted with command and control The importance of self-awareness and a shift towards trust and inspire leadership The barriers to becoming a trust and inspire leader The three stewardships of a trust and inspire leader: modeling, trusting, and inspiring In This Episode: [10:20] Tapping into untapped potential [18:08] Command and control vs. trust and inspire [20:37] Trust and inspire [25:02] Barriers to becoming a trust and inspire leader [35:23] Inspiring confidence in others [38:35] Trust as human motivation [40:17] Microsoft's Satya Nadella as a trust and inspire leader [41:32] Modeling behavior [43:54] Inspiring leadership [45:24] The power of trust [52:01] Building trust through Co-Creation [54:00] The leadership style of Eric Yuan, CEO of Zoom [55:02] The power of modeling in leadership [59:46] Stephen M.R.
