One story you won't have seen in the BBC three part series was that of David Lean.  David was a victim of the infamous paedophile Barry Bennell, brought to public attention by the testimony of former footballers including Andy Woodward, Steve Walters, and Gary Cliffe.  Today we speak to David about his first encounter with Barry Bennell, his belief that he was groomed by football, and his subsequent abuse. We also hear how David dealt with learning that his truth was not deemed in the public interest by the crown prosecution service.  We cannot thanks David enough for taking the time to speak to Man Marking. But what if you're abused, you report or tell someone about it and you're not believed? This aftermath of abuse -- this total negation of what happened -- can feel even worse than the initial trauma. This summer, we’re taking a dip into the Book of Revelation and a look at the seven letters, written to the seven churches, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Revelation contains blessing and strength for everyone who reads it: “God blesses the one who reads the words of this prophecy to the church, and he blesses all who listen to its message and obey what it says, for the time is near.” Revelation is for the Church in every age and so its message is as relevant to us today as it would have been to those first readers. The letters to the seven churches are the words of Jesus to every church, in every age. As we pursue more of what the Holy Spirit is releasing among us and through us, it is also good to “hear what the Spirit says to the churches”. Andy Woodward was a promising young footballer at Crewe Alexandra when he was groomed and sexually abused from the age of 10 to 16 by the club's youth coach Barry Bennell. In 2016 Andy Woodward decided to go public with his story and in February last year Bennell was jailed for 31 years - but the effect on Andy's life and his family has been profound. Mick Coyle brought you all of the latest updates from Liverpool Crown Court where former youth football coach Barry Bennell was found guilty of 43 counts of child sex abuse. The 64-year-old denied all of the offences which took place from the late seventies into the nineties.  But his trial heard he was a child molester 'on an industrial scale'.  Hear from Jackie Lamb from the CPS, Detective Inspector Sarah Oliver from Cheshire Police and four of Bennell's victims Andy Woodward, Micky Fallon, Steven Walters and Chris Unworth.
