It's been a few months since wildfires devastated Los Angeles, and some people are just now starting the long process of repairing and rebuilding their homes. But mixed into the soot and ash can be some hidden dangers, including lead, asbestos, arsenic and lithium. These toxic materials were used to build those homes and got blown across LA. Scientists from the California Institute of Technology have been investigating this invisible danger, testing more than 50 homes for these contaminants. And one of those homes belongs to the lead scientist behind the study. Reporter Caroline Champlin has more.  And our series on Californians and resilience continues with twenty-five-year-old Brittianna Robinson. She experienced sexual abuse and trafficking as a child. Robinson credits her faith in God and support from mentors and her church for helping her find a path forward. Today, she uses her lived experience to help other commercially sexually exploited children (CSEC) as an advocate on the Los Angeles County Youth Commission. Learn more about your ad choices. Greg Bucceroni grew up as a tough kid in Philadelphia.  The same kid   never would have seen his future - to be abused by Penn State's Jerry   Sandusky, and involved with a child abuse ring covering three states.  A   compelling story with details you'll only here on the Opperman Report.Timeline of abuse of Jerry SanduskyHere is a timeline of events in the case against Sandusky, who was found guilty of sexually molesting 10 boys over a 15-year period. Many of the details of abuse come from a grand jury report.1969: Pennsylvania State University hires Sandusky as an assistant football coach under head coach Joe Paterno.1977: Sandusky founds The Second Mile, a charity dedicated to helping troubled children. It is through this charity that Sandusky finds his victims.1994: A boy identified as Victim 7, who is now 26, meets Sandusky through The Second Mile. He later tells a grand jury that he had a “blurry memory” of having improper contact with Sandusky when they were showering together in the football locker room on the Penn State campus.1996 or 1997: A boy identified as Victim 4, now 27, begins a relationship with Sandusky that results in repeated sexual violations, according to the grand jury report.1998: Sandusky showers with a boy identified as Victim 5, now 22, pinning him in a corner, rubbing him and placing the boy's hand on his genitals, according to the grand jury report.1998: Sandusky asks a boy identified as Victim 6, now 24, to shower with him when he is 11, and Sandusky lathers soap on his back and bear-hugs him, according to the grand jury report. The boy tells his mother, who reports it to the university.1998: University police investigate allegations of sexually inappropriate behavior involving Sandusky. No criminal charges are pursued.June 1, 1998: University police interview Sandusky, who admits showering with Victim 6. A detective tells Sandusky never to shower with children again, says the grand jury report.1999: Sandusky retires as defensive coordinator but retains privileges such as access to Penn State athletic facilities.1999: The American Football Coaches Association names Sandusky the major college Assistant Coach of the Year.2000: Sandusky publishes his autobiography “Touched: The Jerry Sandusky Story.”Summer 2000: Sandusky hugs a boy identified as Victim 3 in the shower after workouts and touches his genitals when the boy sleeps at Sandusky's house, according to grand jury testimony.Fall 2000: A janitor sees Sandusky in the showers performing oral sex on a young boy identified as Victim 8. The janitor tells co-workers and his supervisor, but the incident is not reported to authorities at the time.February 2001: A graduate assistant, later identified as Mike McQueary, reports seeing Sandusky rape a boy of about 10 years old in the shower of the campus football locker room.2004 to 2008: A boy identified as Victim 9 was forced to perform oral sex on Sandusky repeatedly in the basement bedroom of Sandusky's home, and Sandusky attempted to rape him at least 16 times, according to the grand jury report.Fall 2007: A boy identified as Victim 10 said Sandusky pulled down his gym shorts and performed oral sex on him in the basement bedroom of Sandusky's home. Sandusky also has the boy perform oral sex on him.2007 and 2008: A boy identified as Victim 1 says Sandusky performed oral sex on him more than 20 times when he was 13 or 14 years old, according to grand jury testimony.2009: Sandusky is barred from a school district attended by Victim 1 after the boy's mother reports allegations of sexual assault to the school, according to the grand jury. The matter is reported to authorities, triggering an investigation by Pennsylvania State Police and the Attorney General's Office.September 2010: Sandusky retires from The Second Mile.November 5, 2011: A Centre County grand jury charges Sandusky with 40 counts of molesting eight boys from 1994 to 2009. Sandusky is arrested and released on a $100,000 bond.November 6, 2011: Paterno issues a statement in which he acknowledges being told by McQueary in 2002 of the incident in the shower but that “he at no time related to me the very specific actions contained in the grand jury report.”November 9, 2011: Paterno announces he will retire at the end of the football season. The university board of trustees fires Paterno and university President Graham Spanier.November 18, 2011: One of Paterno's sons says the ousted coach has been diagnosed with a treatable form of lung cancer.November 30, 2011: A new accuser files the first lawsuit against Sandusky, The Second Mile and Penn State. The 29-year-old man says Sandusky sexually abused him more than 100 times.December 7, 2011: Pennsylvania Attorney General's office and state police charge Sandusky with a further 12 counts of abusing two more boys. Sandusky is arrested again.December 8, 2011: Sandusky posts bail. His wife issues a statement saying the allegations are “absolutely untrue.”January 22, 2012: Paterno, 85, dies of lung cancer.May 25, 2012: The Second Mile announces plans to close and shift $2.5 million in assets to a Texas charity.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-opperman-report--1198501/support.

Send me a DM here (it doesn't let me respond), OR email me: imagineabetterworld2020@gmail.comToday I'm honored to introduce you all to: Satanic ritual abuse, mind control, and organized trafficking survivor and whistleblower, loving mother, brilliant writer and story-teller on Substack, mental health advocate, spiritual wellness connoisseur, conspiracy theory enthusiast, and my dear friend, Jessica KaitlinWhen I first met Jessica months and months ago, her sheer strength, light she embodied, and the fragments of her story she shared left me utterly amazed. Though she couldn't speak out publicly at first, our bond grew, leading me to anonymously feature her in two Substack articles, gently introducing her harrowing experiences in writing to the world. After months of deepening our friendship, I was profoundly moved when she messaged me, "I'm ready to share my story on your podcast!"Born into a legacy of pain, with both families marked by generations of incest and abuse, Jessica's life began under the shadow of trauma. Conceived from a teenage pregnancy within a family that perpetuated child trafficking, she faced molestation, grooming, and psychological torment from her earliest years. At four years old, after revealing abuse by an uncle, Jessica was removed from her father's home, yet the connection was never fully severed, leaving Jessica with a very fractured and poorly put together collaboration of Dissociative Identity Alters. Despite a mother dissociated from her own past abuse, and being forced onto the streets at 15, Jessica's spirit remained unbroken and she has been on a dedicated healing journey ever since. She embarked on a fierce journey of healing, diving deep into the realms of mental health, conspiracy theories, spiritual warfare, and healing practices. Today, Jessica stands as a passionate advocate, educating others on child sexual abuse, Dissociative Identity Disorder, the dark mechanisms of evil, and the empowering truth of our divine heritage as children of a loving Creator. Her story is not just one of survival, but of transformation, empowerment, and the relentless pursuit of light in the darkest of places.CONNECT WITH JESSICA: Substack: https://substack.com/@guidedhealingExclusive Article "Removing An Entity Placed During A Childhood Satanic Ritual": https://substack.com/home/post/p-159159376ARTICLES DONE WITH JESSICA ON EMMA'S SUBSTACK: 1. The true number of victims is still unknown.     On today's Daily, Niall Paterson is joined by our home editor Jason Farrell and Lucy Duckworth, from the Survivors Trust, herself a survivor of child abuse, to explain why the recommendations of numerous inquiries into the failings that allowed the abuse to go on for years have still not been implemented.   The Survivors Trust runs a free, confidential national helpline 7 days a week for survivors of rape or sexual abuse and violence aged 16+. There is something about dragonflies. Their brilliant translucence, the variety of colors they come in, their auspicious arrival into your space in unexpected moments. In a word, they are magic. Beth also shares the healing truths for survivors of trauma and abuse, including: there are no demographic boundaries to trauma, abuse and unhealthy survivorship; healing is about each of us and only us, no one else; triggers are real; and there are no four, five, eight or ten-steps in a healing process. Beth includes her story of becoming an Empowered Survivor (life-altering event and healing journey; personal transformation; taking off the masks of survivorship and what HEAL means to her (hope, evolve and love in action).Bio:Beth's passion for helping other survivors of trauma and abuse to walk their healing pathways led her to write her bestselling book, Becoming an Empowered Survivor: You, Too, Can Heal from Trauma and Abuse. Are Hollywood's youngest stars in any less danger now than those of past eras? We pose this question to Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman's Claudia Lamb. At age 11 she was cast as Mary's daughter Heather Hartman in the groundbreaking Norman Lear soap parody. Claudia offers a front row view to her traumatic life as a 70s child star, at the mercy of her abusive parents and insight into how she gnawed through their shackles to pursue a radio journalism career and become a champion for today's child actors.Claudia was a gourmet meal ticket to her criminally exploitative parents who squandered all her money as she cranked out hundreds of commercials and print ads as a toddler who was shoved into the spotlight and dragged by her angry and brutal mother to audition after audition.Claudia candidly conveys the extent of the violence and terror inflicted by her narcissistically cruel mother as Claudia's labor, throughout her childhood supported the entire family while alienating her five brothers. Her talent and intelligence branded her as a go-to for commercial producers, where, as a stand-by, she frequently replaced the principal. Then at the age of 11, after being pummeled by her mother for a poor math grade, (working kids needed to keep their grades above a C average) Claudia was dragged to a cattle-call populated by every chubby, frizzy haired 13 year old in Hollywood. Claudia, a scrawny, pigtailed 11 year old nailed the reading and was instantly cast as Heather Hartman where she treasured her three years on the set of Norman Lear's outrageous, unprecedented soap satire.Claudia tells of marathon filming sessions, (five episodes a week) with no cue cards or teleprompters. (Louise Lasser would scribble her lines on the kitchen table!) She celebrates the immense talents of Mary Kay Place, Martin Mull and Fred Willard, and shares fabulous anecdotes about Donny and Jimmy Osmond (The Donny & Marie Show filmed next door) and how Claudia was nearly crushed by a mob of fans who spotted her chatting up some Osmonds and jumped a fence to get in on that action.Claudia is frank in her assessment of the adults who let her down as she endured her mother's abuse. Her bruises were in clear view of the wardrobe department. At the age of 18, Claudia put Hollywood in her rear view and became an award winning journalist who now speaks to parents about the reality and dangers posed to children by show business.Weezy offers a supporting view, recommending Demi Lovato's new documentary on Hulu and Disney + called Child Star. Fritz is captivated by the Hulu series adaptation of Patrick Radden Keefe's best-seller about “The Troubles” in Ireland, Say Nothing. However, the third time he left for an affair, she let him go.    After 30 years of this, it was time to find some healing. She went to a therapist and said: “I don't understand. I have all these cards from him that say, “I love you. You are the rock of the family. You're my best friend. I don't ever want to live without you. Send me a DM here (it doesn't let me respond), OR email me: imagineabetterworld2020@gmail.comToday I'm honored to introduce you all to: Lifelong UAP and NHI phenomenon experiencer, abuse survivor, whistleblower, targeted individual, empath, content creator, and another brave warrior stepping up to shine a light on the darkness: Mack aka: Parsi XMack - who we will also be calling Parsi X, has been an experiencer of the phenomenon for his entire life starting with a close encounter he experienced with his twin brother when they were both children at the tender age of 11 living in India. Mack and his twin brother were fortunate to be the sons of a loving mother who brilliantly had them document their individual experiences instead of immediately discrediting them or chalking up their allegations to being a figment of their childlike imaginations - even though she had her doubts. Macks's experiences have continued throughout his life with phenomena manifesting themselves as orbs, UAPs, and NHI that connect with him in intelligent ways that defy explanation and - at times - leave a lot more questions than answers. Mack's formative years also include being bullied in school, and eventually he fell captive to being prey to a deviant predator who abused him at the age of 23. Today will be the first time he has ever publicly shared this part of his story and I ask you all to wrap Mack in a blanket of love and compassion as you always do as we talk about an extremely traumatic and devastating event that forever changed his life and left lasting scars of betrayal, pain and trauma on his body, heart, mind, and soul. One of the reasons Mack has decided to speak out about these very vulnerable moments in his life is because he knows many other experiencers and survivors are out there suffering in silence, and that his story may help validate their experiences and give them hope and a voice. He hopes to encourage people who are suffering to keep going, and to show that with consistent work and healing that life can be beautiful and purposeful - even if the journey is difficult and imperfect. Mack has learned that the way you hand shame and trauma back isn't through internalizing the pain and stuffing it down, but by finding ways to ‘out' it through public disclosure. Whether this is telling a friend, a therapist, or strangers on the internet - Mack has become a living example of what can happen when you embrace the truth and face it head on. An abuser's most lethal weapon is the silence of their victims, and today we are breaking that silence with disclosure, exposure, and heart-led truth. Mack is an incredible advocate for other survivors, experiencers and whistleblowers and I know all of you listening will be here today offering him the same love and support he is always the first to offer to others. Mack's story is incredibly important as it begs us to look closer into phenomena that often gets written off as coincidence, imagination or conspiracy and also shows us how these fascinating encounters can also be tormenting, traumatizing, and even isolating for the individuals who experience them. Our hope with this episode is to help many of you gain a greater understanding of phenomena that may be newer to you in your learning journey, and to also let those of you on the other side of the screen who have had or are having similar experiences know that you aren't alone. I ask all of you to please put away whatever you're doing and give my courageous warrior of a friend your full attention as he shares his full testimony for the very, first, time.
