SEASON 5 Episode 22 (A MESSAGE FROM MEHTA): 1. I come from a small town named Petersburg Growing up I seen my mom and my dad fight and argue all the time but the thing is about that as a child all u wish for is peace and unity within your family it hurt the most growing up in a broken home then having to deal with the pressure of the streets in my city.I played football since 6 years old that was one of my dreams I always wanted to make come true. As I went into high school I developed addictions to drugs due to emotional baggage from my trauma all my life since a child honestly I never been able to open up or talk about how i feel to anybody. By the time I hit 18 half of my cousins dead and gone as I'm writing this I got fat daddy on my mind it's really hurtful to see so many go within a short period of time. Everything I do is for the ones that's gone that can't be here with me in the physical form due to gun violence in my city. I loss 2 of biological my uncles at the age of 12 one due to heart attack one due to a robbery that led to him getting his head blown by a bullet. As a teen I fought with my dad my mom almost everyone blaming them for my trauma as a kid, I also blamed my aunty for letting me get abused by her boyfriend at the time which his name was Rick. He abused me and my uncle nearly every night if we couldn't hit a single push up. Moral of this bio is that pain made me who I am today. Former NSA and CIA chief Michael Hayden, smeared patriotic American Christians who own firearms, claiming they are “no different” from Hamas terrorists. The Louisville banker who opened fire at his workplace, killing five people and injuring eight others, was apparently motivated by his outrage over what he deemed to be “lax” gun control laws — hoping his rampage would spur lawmakers to enact new measures. Join us as we explore the path to making every day your best day." Highlighted AOTW: Born and raised in Dallas, TX, and thoroughly immersed as a multi-sport athlete growing up, Jay Denton switched gears and moved to Los Angeles, CA for a degree in international relations at the University of Southern California. While in college Denton began both recording music, and developing a strong interest in global conflict resolution. Graduating with a degree and a commission offered to him from the US Marine Corps, Denton instead traveled to work in India and East Africa and searched for paths into conflict resolution in areas that fell between the cracks of military involvement. Finding on his travels, however, that making music seemed to have a bigger impact in the developing world than his other skill sets, Denton returned to Los Angeles, and began teaching Krav Maga and defensive tactics while starting to pursue a career as a songwriter. This pursuit took him to Nashville for a few years and into the touring world, but landed him back in LA again to start his own studio, ENDURE Studios, in 2018. Seeking to pull together his very different passions, Denton's studio takes a rather unique approach to music. While working as a songwriter/producer locally in LA, ENDURE Studios is looking to take trips every year to a different conflict zone or destabilized region of the world, to write and record with artists in those regions who have been affected by war, crisis, or persecution. As the first pilot project, Jay flew to Beirut, Lebanon, multiple times in 2019 to record an album with refugee singers from Syria and Iraq. After writing and recording on the ground there, Denton returned to Los Angeles and paired the songs with US artists as well as himself, to create a global album, blending styles, voices, stories, and languages from both parts of the world. Denton has just released the global album, For Home, under the moniker, ENDURE, and has a documentary by Peaceful Sea Productions coming out September 19th, about the process of making the album, and the stories of the refugee artists. Back at it, now, in Los Angeles, he continues to write and produce music at ENDURE Studios locally, and is planning the next global album trip in early 2021. INSTAGRAM: @jaydenton @endure_studios. Pain: Pain is a universal human experience that can manifest in various forms – physical, emotional, or psychological. It serves as a powerful signal, alerting us to a problem or imbalance. Physical pain can be the body's way of telling us something is wrong, while emotional or psychological pain often points to unresolved issues, traumas, or unmet needs. Pain can be sharp and acute, like the sting of a physical injury, or it can be a dull, lingering ache, such as the sadness of a loss. It's a complex and subjective experience, one that can teach us valuable lessons, foster empathy, and drive personal growth. Jealousy: Jealousy is an emotion rooted in comparison and the fear of losing something we value, whether it's a person, a position, or an opportunity. It often arises when we perceive a threat to a relationship or a sense of fairness. Jealousy can be a mix of complex feelings, including insecurity, envy, and competitiveness. While it's a natural emotion, unchecked jealousy can lead to negative consequences, such as strained relationships or a sense of inadequacy. When managed constructively, jealousy can serve as a signal to examine our desires and insecurities, helping us grow and strengthen our relationships. Both pain and jealousy are part of the human experience, and understanding them can lead to personal insight and growth. Artist: D.Wild IG: D_wildmusic Song: Pain & Jealousy. Marines, Navy sailors and Airmen perform similar, but different, duties in service to the military. As members of a team, soldiers must work together cohesively to accomplish everyday tasks, job assignments and special missions. At all times, soldiers must behave in ways that demonstrate adherence to the U.S. Army's seven core values: loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity and personal courage. For most consumers, a musician really only has thirty seconds to make a first impression, and when they do so, they need to hit the right buttons to engage with them. However, when the music appeals to fans on more than one level, you're on your way to developing a fan base that actively engages in your career. The kind of fan base that loyally buys your album, your merchandise and tickets for your shows. If you've decided to market to your niche then it should be a central focus of all aspects of your music; reflect it in your website, in your music videos and in your look. A well-crafted, quirky website goes a long way to endearing a fan to your music. A music video that appeals to a niche audience will be something fans can talk about and share with others with the same interests. So how does a musician identify their niche? Your niche is your music at its most specific and its most alienating. If you are a singer/songwriter what is the focus of your lyrics? A music niche is a particular genre or style of music that appeals to a specific group or audience. It can also refer to a specific scene or subculture within a larger genre or style of music. Music niches are often defined by their distinct sound, style, and/or culture. Who are you in music? Dive into the grind with the P.E.G Family and my guy, ZETTY, with his hit song GONE. Age-adjusted firearm homicide rates in the US are 13 times greater than they are in France, and 22 times greater than in the European Union as a whole. The US has 23 times the rate of firearm homicide seen in Australia. The trend continues for percentage of child deaths caused by firearms. Including physical violence, suicide, and unintentional injury, gun violence accounts for over 7% of deaths in the US among those under age 20, a figure that stands far above peer countries. When excluding infants, who have higher rates of death from neonatal causes, that number jumps to nearly 15%. Within the US, gun violence varies widely. Age-adjusted firearm homicide rates range from a high of 17 per 100,000 in Washington, DC, to a low of 0.91 per 100,000 in New Hampshire. Washington, DC's rate is similar to those of the Bahamas and Mexico, which rank eighth and tenth globally. New Hampshire's rate is similar to that of Pakistan. Even though New Hampshire has the lowest rates of age-adjusted firearm homicides in the US, its rate is nearly five times greater than that of the European Union as a whole. Numerous studies have highlighted promising policies to reduce gun violence. In the US, research published in JAMA found an association between laws strengthening background checks or requiring permits to purchase firearms with reductions in rates of firearm homicides. Following the Port Arthur massacre in 1996 in Australia, the Australian National Firearms Agreement restricted the use of firearms by civilians. This legislation has been credited with ending mass shootings and reducing firearm suicides in Australia according to a study published in JAMA. In South Africa, rates of violent deaths dropped after the passage of the Firearms Control Act of 2000, according to research published in The South African Medical Journal. Born and raised in Austin, TX, Reginald Orlando Hart Jr. A.K.A GRasta1k is the owner and music artist of GRINDTIME1K. Living with his mother and stepfather up till the age of 14, G Rasta1k was forced to find love from the streets. The older role models of the streets taught him what he needed to know to stay ahead. Adopting fairly quickly, G Rasta1k was living the life until Aug. 13th, 2016. He welcomed his first baby girl, Harmony Symone Hart into the world. Before he could really get adjusted to life as a father, his first son was born a few years later. With two children, and still heavy in the streets, G Rasta1k took his love for music to another level with freestyling. Finding inspiration from southern artists such as S.U.C, Ghetto Boys, Master P, ZRo, Lil O, Fat Pat, 8ball and MJG, Do or Die and so many more. He expanded his music range and found inspiration from Tupac, Snoop Dogg, Biggie, Jay-Z, Camron, 50-Cent, Big Pun, Big L, Michael Jackson, Prince, and so many more various artists. The one person who inspired him the most was his younger brother Silas. Silas started the brand ABM (All Bout Money). The brand was delayed due to legal problems and spending a year in jail. The summer of 2014 he returned home to finish what he and his brother had started. But the universe delivered something G Rasta1k could never imagine. The tragic death of his brother Silas caused him to fall into a deep depression and question life. This life changing event landed G Rasta1k into the Shoal Creek Mental Institution. Released finally with a better mind frame, he set out to create a brand that represents his life as a whole. The birth of GRINDTIME1K. A brand that represents grind, hustle, discipline, love, and peace. WITH THAT BEING SAID, COME DIVE INTO HIS SONG, SOMETHING SPECIAL and make sure you follow/subscribe !!! About the book: Originalism Is Not Enough In this profoundly important reassessment of constitutional interpretation, the eminent legal philosopher Hadley Arkes argues that “originalism” alone is an inadequate answer to judicial activism. Untethered from “mere Natural Law”—the moral principles knowable by all—our legal and constitutional system is doomed to incoherence. The framers of the Constitution regarded the “self-evident” truths of the Natural Law as foundational. And yet in our own time, both liberals and conservatives insist that we must interpret the Constitution while ignoring its foundation. Making the case anew for Natural Law, Arkes finds it not in theories hovering in the clouds or in benign platitudes (“be generous,” “be selfless”). He draws us back, rather, to the ground of Natural Law as the American Founders understood it, the anchoring truths of common sense—truths grasped at once by the ordinary man, unburdened by theories imbibed in college and law school. When liberals discovered hitherto unknown rights in the “emanations” and “penumbras” of a “living constitution,” conservatives responded with an “originalism” that refuses to venture beyond the bare text. But in framing that text, the Founders appealed to moral principles that were there before the Constitution and would be there even if there were no Constitution. An originalism that is detached from those anchor - ing principles has strayed far from the original meaning of the Constitution. It is powerless, moreover, to resist the imposition of a perverse moral vision on our institutions and our lives. Brilliant in its analysis, essential in its argument, Mere Natural Law is a must-read for everyone who cares about the Constitution, morality, and the rule of law. This ABC Books author of the week was featured on KSGF Mornings with Nick on Thursday, May 04, 2023.

About the book: What Part of the Second Amendment Don't You Understand? That's the question posed by award-winning, New York Times bestselling author, and professional firearms instructor, Larry Correia. Bringing with him the practical experience that comes from having owned a high-end gun store—catering largely to law enforcement—and as a competitive shooter and self-defense trainer, Correia blasts apart the emotion-laden, logic-free rhetoric of the gun control fanatics who turn every “mass shooting” into a crazed call for violating your rights, abusing the Constitution—and doing absolutely nothing to really fight crime. In his essential new book, In Defense of the Second Amendment, Correia reveals: Why “gun-free” zones are more dangerous for law-abiding citizens How the Second Amendment does indeed include your right to own an AR-15—and why that's not an “outdated” concept Why “red flag” laws don't work, can be easily abused, and ignore a much more commonsensical approach to keeping guns out of the wrong hands The insanity of “criminal justice reform” that frees dangerous criminals and “gun reform” that penalizes your right to self-defense How we can return to a society that has a safe and healthy relationship with guns—as we had for most of our history Correia's promise: “Believe me, I've heard every argument relating to gun control possible. I can show you how to defend your rights.” Urgent, informed, with vitally important information for whoever who owns a gun—or is thinking about owning a gun—or who cares about the preservation of our constitutional rights, In Defense of the Second Amendment is a landmark book of enduring importance. About the book: Here is the antidote to the left's sinister push to use a worldwide crisis to infuse our lives with the values of collasal statism and dystopian self-hatred, all accelerated by the duplicitous manipulation of the recent pandemic. From the nationally best-selling author of The Politically Incorrect Guide to Climate Change. Welcome to 2030. I own nothing, have no privacy, and life has never been better. This is the vision of the Great Reset, according to globalist leaders. While proponents of the Great Reset push slogans like “Build Back Better,” “The Fourth Industrial Revolution,” and “A New Normal,” the Reset is nothing short of a rebranded Soviet system, threatening to strip away property rights, restrict freedom of movement and association, and radically reshape our diets and way of life. In The Great Reset: Global Elites and the Permanent Lockdown, bestselling author and ClimateDepot.com publisher, Marc Morano, unveils the origins of the Great Reset, who is behind it, how it is being implemented, and how COVID-19 and the alleged “climate emergency” accelerated its imposition on the United States. Packed with telling statistics and damning quotes, The Great Reset is the essential handbook for the public, the media, and activists on how to critically analyze and expose the tyrannical policies silently strangling our liberties today. About the author: Marc Morano is the publisher of the award-winning ClimateDepot.com, a global warming and eco-news center founded in 2009. Newsweek declared that Morano “is quickly becoming King of the skeptics!” in December 2009. The Daily Beast described Climate Depot as “a bustling, one-stop-shop for climate skeptics.” Prior to Climate Depot, Morano served for three years as a senior advisor, speechwriter, and climate researcher for U.S. Senator James Inhofe (R-Okla.), and managed the award-winning communication operations of the GOP side of the EPW Committee. Morano joined the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee as the majority Communications Director in June 2006 after a decade and a half as a working journalist, documentary maker, radio talk show host, and national television correspondent. His reporting has made international news, including appearances and coverage on CNN, The O'Reilly Factor, Hannity & Colmes, BBC TV, the New York Times, the Washington Post, USA Today, the Wall Street Journal, the New York Post, US Weekly magazine, Drudge Report, Extra TV, and Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher. About the book: Another entry in the best-selling, irreverent, hard-hitting Politically Incorrect Guide series! Economics from a rational, conservative viewpoint—that is, a refreshing look at how money actually works from an author who knows the score, and how the law of economics are frequently broken and derailed by pernicious leftists and virtue signaling progressives.
