Jason Dumas is transferring from Prairie View A&M to Southern University, joining in his former coach Eric Dooley. Mo Carter from Fox54 in Huntsville, Alabama joins the show to discuss how Alabama A&M will look in the post Aqeel Glass era.  Jason Dumas is one of the best players on the Prairie View A&M defense. He has been an impact player since his freshman year, and he led the team in TFL and sacks by a large margin last year. Dumas is staying in the SWAC West and transferring to Southern. The clear connection there is former PV head coach Eric Dooley. This move is a big blow to PV and a huge boost to Southern.  Aqeel Glass has graduated and now the Alabama A&M Bulldogs have to figure out how to operate without him. The MEAC showed they aren't desperate by rejecting Chicago State's attempt to join the conference. One would think after departures by FAMU, North Carolina A&T, Bethune Cookman, Hampton, and now potentially Howard in recent years, the MEAC would start getting desperate. They rejected Chicago State because they don't have a football team. They refused to compromise on their demands. A desperate conference wouldn't have stood so firm. I do think they missed an opportunity by rejecting CSU. Aqeel Glass picked up a camp invite from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. As a camp invite it'll be a tough road, however, I believe he can make it to the practice squad. That's a realistic ceiling for him in his first year in the league. The Tampa QB room is already pretty crowded with Tom Brady, Kyle Trask, Ryan Griffin, and Blaine Gabbert. It's tough to see Glass taking any of those guy's job. Maybe after a year he'll have a better shot at making the 53 man roster. This year his best bet is the practice squad. Grambling WR Tyson Bordeaux said in a recent interview with MTMV sports podcast network he was circling the Jackson State game on the calendar. He gave JSU all of their props for what they have done recently, but he is also excited for the challenge. This is the first time I've heard anybody say they are ready to go against JSU. Aqeel Glass is a former Alabama A&M quarterback who is a 2-time Deacon Jones Trophy winner and a 2-time SWAC Offensive Player of the Year. During his time with Alabama A&M, he passed for 12,136 yards and 109 touchdowns.  In 2021, Glass was there SWAC Offensive Player of the Year and passed for 3,568 yards and 36 touchdowns in leading his team to a 7-3 record. After his college football career finished, Glass played in the 2022 NFLPA Bowl All-Star Game and the HBCU Legacy Bowl. He is currently preparing for an opportunity in the NFL. Today on the podcast, we talk to Aqeel Glass about his faith in Jesus and how it guides him as a person and a football player.
