This week's episode was recorded just a stone's throw from East Village Radio's 1st avenue storefront though I don't understand why anyone would be throwing stones at the station's HQ. Surely it would be more efficient just to bang on the gate? Despite a multitude of changes, this can still be a pretty tough neighborhood - for instance, I was scheduled yesterday to meet with Bobby Steele in order to launch a competitor to John Joseph's “Fear City” walking tour and it turns out the person I'd been sending money to on CashApp is not actually Bobby Steele but rather someone operating out of a boiler room on the other side of the world. Which I suppose is a good learning lesson for all of us (but especially me) — if you're going head to head with the cadillac of walking tours, you'd better bring more to the table than the Yugo of walking tours (particularly if it turns out the Yugo is really named Hugo and couldn't tell A7 apart from A24).

When Glenn Danzig and Jerry Only decided to add a guitarist and drop the fuzz piano, Frank Licata aka Franche Coma was enlisted. Frank went on to record the legendary guitar parts on the masterpiece that is Static Age before departing the band. Misfits is a 1986 compilation album by the American punk rock band Misfits. Officially titled Misfits, but also known as Collection, Collection 1, or Collection I, the album features twenty songs by the band. The tracks include some of the group's early singles, as well as songs from their 1982 album Walk Among Us, their 1983 album Earth A.D./Wolfs Blood, and the 1985 compilation album Legacy of Brutality, which was curated exclusively by vocalist Glenn Danzig after the band had dissolved in 1983. Collection I was first released on July 1, 1986 by Plan 9 and Caroline Records, and was followed by Collection II in 1995. Bobby Steele, who had been missing since April 11, 2023, was discovered deceased inside a wall of a vacant building located on the 600 block of Delaware Avenue in Wilmington. Bobby had departed from the residence he shared with his sister in Claymont, intending to meet an acquaintance on Market Street in Wilmington. This was on the same day he had been notified of his approval for a housing voucher through a HUD program, a milestone he had been working towards for over a year. Two hours after leaving his home, he made a phone call to his sister, which would be the last communication between them. Tonight we are joined by Kelly Canning the sister of Bobby Steele. Police deemed the discovery of Bobby's body inside a wall as unsuspicious, Kelly disagrees. Since her brothers disappearance Kelly has been an advocate and voice to say all missing people matter.
