On today's show, Andrew gives his reaction to what happened in the South Carolina Gamecocks thrashing of the Charlotte 49ers in terms of the play-calling from Marcus Satterfield and Clayton White and the execution from the players. He starts with the offense, discussing the banner performance by the rushing attack, commending both the offensive line and running backs MarShawn Lloyd and Christian Beal-Smith, while also expressing concerns he still has with Spencer Rattler's play and wondering if certain questions around Satterfield's play-calling and Rattler's confidence could be answered! Andrew then moves onto the defense where he discusses the solid communication and rush defense in box, but laments the poor pass rush at the start of the game and bad play by Cam Smith and the defensive backfield and breaks down what Clayton White did with his play-calling that broke the status quo gamecock fans have seen from him up to this point. The HBCU Legacy Bowl has announced their coaches for the game. The coaches include Willie Simmons and Gabe Giardina of FAMU and Albany State, representing team Robinson, and Damon Wilson and Buddy Pough of Bowie State and SC State, representing team Gaither. The teams are named after famed Grambling State and FAMU coaches. In the game, each co coach will be responsible for one side of the ball. Texas Southern has been on a hot streak after losing the first game of the year to Southern. They have beaten Grambling, University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, and Mississippi Valley State on that run. Each victory has been more impressive than the last, and we dive into the most impressive of the 3 as we lead up to TSU vs Alcorn. This week's feature friday is on Dennis Thomas. Thomas is a football legend especially for HBCU's. Thomas is in the Hampton University's inaugural Athletics Hall of Fame Class (2009), Alcorn State University (Miss.) Hall of Fame (2010), the SWAC Hall of Fame (2003), and the Black College Football Hall of Fame (2020). Now he is about to go into the College Football Hall of Fame.
