“I'm patient. I call it aggressively patient. I'm going hard for it all — but if it doesn't happen, there's still a process and I chip away for next time. That's how you become a champion. You don't just go out there and run and win. You have to have a journey and work hard. I'm always going hard.”Welcome back to Office Hours on the CITIUS MAG Podcast, where we explore the philosophy of the coaches who push the edges of human potential with some of the best athletes in track and field.Today's guest is someone who has climbed to some of the highest highs in the sport. Joanna Hayes is an Olympic gold medalist, a Hall of Famer, and currently the director of track and field and cross country at her alma mater UCLA. In 2024, she was named USATF's Coach of the Year — a recognition not just for her competitive pedigree, but her ability to cultivate greatness in others. She's coached legends like Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone and Rai Benjamin, ushered in record-breaking seasons at both USC and UCLA, and she's done it all while remaining grounded in values of respect, discipline, family, and joy. In this conversation, we explore what success does and doesn't change about how she leads, what it feels like to return to the place where it all started, the realities of coaching both elite professionals and college athletes and how the two are more connected than you think. We talk about legacy, resilience, motherhood, and what it means to show up not just as a coach, but as a human being who makes space for culture, connection, and yes, sometimes TikToks and fresh fits. Coach Hayes's story is one of full circle moments and forward motion. She's creating a new chapter at UCLA and you'll hear in this conversation why it's one worth watching and rooting for. Imagine this: you're standing inside a trendy L.A. grocery store—maybe it's Erewhon. You've got a cooler full of canned soda that claims to be good for your gut. You're not a celebrity and you're not even the founder of the company. You're just a guy with a vision, a few samples, and the audacity to talk your way into a product launch. That was Steven Vigilante back in 2018. Today, Olipop—the better-for-you soda brand that he helped bring to life—is in more than 30,000 stores across the country. They've partnered with Barbie, NASCAR, the Brooklyn Nets, New York Liberty, and somehow even made it into a Luke Combs music video. But it didn't start there. Steven cut his teeth in venture capital, betting early on health forward brands. When he saw the potential in a fiber-packed functional soda, he jumped in—first as an advisor, and then as the architect behind some of the boldest growth and partnership strategies in beverage today. So how do you build a soda brand that dares to take on the likes of Coke and Pepsi? One that trades sugar for science and still wins hearts and taste buds across America? In addition to all of that, they're also major partners for CITIUS MAG.This is the latest episode of The Build with Steven Vigilante, Director of Media and Partnerships at Olipop, on staying scrappy, scaling smart, and crafting a new kind of soda, one can at a time.Host: Chris Chavez | @chris_j_chavez on InstagramGuest: Steven Vigilante | @stevenvigilante on XSUPPORT OUR SPONSORSPILLAR PERFORMANCE: We all know that sleep is where the magic happens. “I think it's really important to celebrate the intermediate steps along the way because if you're only thinking about the highest level of the NCAA…it gets overwhelming. You have to have those goals along the way.”We're back with more Office Hours episodes. My guest today is someone that's become synonymous with Hoya distance running — Brandon Bonsey, the head men's cross country coach and longtime leader of Georgetown's storied middle-distance program. He's more than a decade into his coaching career on the Hilltop — Bonsey has guided the Hoyas to dozens of All-America honors, multiple Big East titles, and a steady presence at the national level across cross country and track. A proud alum himself, Bonsey competed for Georgetown from 2004 to 2009, and since returning to his alma mater, he's played a pivotal role in both honoring the program's legacy and evolving it for today's generation. In this episode, we talk about what it's like to coach at the place that shaped you, what he learned from mentors like Pat Henner and Chris Fox, and how he's helping develop two of the most exciting young middle-distance talents in the country — Tinoda Matsatsa and Abel Teffra. We also get into recruiting at a high-academic institution, what sets the Georgetown culture apart, and how Bonsey blends emotional investment with long-view composure as a coach. This is a great one for anyone who loves hearing how tradition meets innovation in today's NCAA coaching landscape.Host: Chris Chavez | @chris_j_chavez on InstagramGuest: Brandon Bonsey | @thebonz21 on InstagramSUPPORT OUR SPONSORSOLIPOP: Olipop is a prebiotic soda that tastes like a throwback to your favorite childhood drinks, but it's loaded with benefits that your body will thank you for. “In the track and field world, every four years is a whole new story, a whole new plan. Everyone's trying to rush to get things together. I think for us coming off a crazy Paris, having an idea of the direction we're going and the team that's going to help us get to that place is really exciting, so we're really looking forward to the next four years.”My guests for today's episode are two of the most electric and inspiring figures in track and field: Tara Davis-Woodhall and Hunter Woodhall. They're not just standout athletes; they're also a powerhouse couple rewriting the playbook on how to achieve success in the sport and market themselves.Fresh off of double gold medal performances in Paris, Tara and Hunter have just signed with Nike. In this episode, we chat with them about why they chose to go with the swoosh, but also, more importantly for Hunter, why it signals the brand's deeper commitment to Paralympic athletes.Tara, a two-time Olympian and the reigning Olympic and world indoor champion in the long jump, is just as magnetic off the runway as she is on it. Hunter, a three-time Paralympian and five-time medalist, just captured his first gold in the 400m T62 in Paris and has been pushing the limits of what's possible in adaptive sport since day one.In this episode, we chat about what they're building beyond the medals and what's next for two of the sport's most compelling athletes to follow up an astounding 2024.Hosts: Chris Chavez | @chris_j_chavez on InstagramGuests: Tara Davis-Woodhall | _tarraa_ on Instagram + Hunter Woodhall on InstagramSUPPORT OUR SPONSORSOLIPOP: Olipop is a prebiotic soda that tastes like a throwback to your favorite childhood drinks, but it's loaded with benefits that your body will thank you for. “It's almost been ten years and for me it was just kind of time. Contract changes, life changes now with having a two-year-old and wanting to grow the family side of things... A lot of factors all came together at the right time for me to make the decision.”My guest for today's episode is Clayton Murphy, who's been part of American middle-distance running history for the better part of a decade and is now officially hanging up his spikes. From the small town of New Madison, Ohio, to the Olympic podium in Rio — Clayton's career is the stuff of dreams. He was the kid from the Mid-American Conference who took down giants. The collegiate star who doubled up at NCAAs. The 21-year-old who kicked his way to Olympic bronze in the 800 meters — running 1:42.93, still the fifth-fastest time by an American in history.Over the years, Clayton's worn the red, white, and blue across the globe — from the Pan Am Games, where he struck gold, to two Olympic Games, multiple U.S. titles, and countless memorable finishes. But it hasn't always been smooth sailing. He's battled injuries, coaching changes, and the highs and lows that come with being one of the best in a brutal event. And now, after a career that spanned over a decade at the professional level — Clayton is here to reflect on what it meant, how he made peace with the decision, and what's next.SUPPORT OUR SPONSORSOLIPOP: Olipop is a prebiotic soda that tastes like a throwback to your favorite childhood drinks, but it's loaded with benefits that your body will thank you for. The Penn Relays have officially begun at the University of Pennsylvania—my alma mater—and once again, the historic Franklin Field is alive with the spirit of one of the oldest and most prestigious track and field events in the Americas. Hosted annually by Penn Athletics, the Relays are more than just a sporting event—they are a cultural moment, especially for the Caribbean diaspora. You simply cannot mention the Penn Relays without mentioning Jamaica in the same breath. Jamaicans have long been dominant and enthusiastic participants, from high school standouts to collegiate champions. The relays serve as a proving ground for emerging talent and a showcase of track royalty.I remember one year when I had the privilege to volunteer at the games. It was a moment I'll never forget—I met the likes of Bill Cosby, the Hon. Portia Simpson Miller (Jamaica's first woman Prime Minister), and track legends such as Asafa Powell, Usain Bolt, and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce. The electric atmosphere, the sound of cheering crowds, and the buzz around potential stars from across the U.S. and Caribbean left an indelible mark on me.Yet, something feels different this year. While the 2025 Penn Relays have kicked off with their usual modest energy, there's a noticeable lack of media coverage and buzz. Surprisingly, many locals in Philadelphia I spoke to either weren't aware the Penn Relays were happening or didn't know what the event was at all. This is a stark contrast to years past, when the city would buzz with anticipation and pride.Still, the Caribbean diaspora and college track athletes from around the country are already making their way to the city, bringing with them a growing excitement that's starting to creep in. Although mainstream media has yet to fully engage, the passion of the people remains. A quick keyword search or hashtag scroll for “Penn Relays 2025” yields only a handful of results—disappointing for such a historic event. We remain hopeful that as the week unfolds, coverage will swell and the attention this event deserves will return. In these turbulent and uncertain times, we need events like the Penn Relays. They offer catharsis and community—a moment to celebrate excellence, heritage, and unity.Between the NBA playoffs and the Penn Relays, there's a lot to look forward to this week. Stay tuned—The Neoliberal Round and our YouTube channel may bring you interviews, event highlights, and the heartbeat of the city and its athletes as the games progress.Until then,Renaldo C. Send us a textKimberly had a host of issues, crack cocaine chief among them. She was trying to get her life in order, so her seven year old child could have a future. She was walking with a friend Halloween night, when a pack of gang members ran them both down and beat them with a tree branch, they were robbed of one dollar and then Kimberly suffered what can only be described as nazi level torture. Kim was stabbed and slashed over 130 times. stomped and kicked countless times, but that wasn't enough for this rampaging gang, six of eight men raped her as well. She was left to die in Franklin Field, Dorchester, Ma. Eight men and boys, members of the Franklin Field Pistons Gangs were ultimately charged. The level of depravity shocked the City of Boston as the perpetrators were her neighbors. A shocking and senseless murder.Commonwealth v William C. Here on the podcast we are starting a new series. Every week during the NFL season we will take a few games off the schedule that are rematches of famous games in NFL History. Some will be memorable post season games while others are memorable in other ways. Here in week one we will talk about three games that are on the week one schedule of games that are rematches of great games of the past. The first, Packers and Eagles which is a rematch of the 1960 NFL Championship game in Philadelphia's historic Franklin Field. “I think it's wide open. I think it's hard to compete when you know that people have been at that level and they know what it takes to be at that level. That's one thing that's super hard about it. When you've been there before, you know it's a little bit easier to get back there because you're like, “OK. I know exactly what I need to show up and how I can do it.” But I haven't been thinking about the big ‘few' quite as much as maybe in 2021 when I was just starting to run the 800m at this level. I want to sort of like rely and think about ‘Who am I as a runner?' as opposed to trying to play whoever else's game or emulate someone. It's what works best for me.” I really enjoy watching Sage Hurta-Klecker race because each time out, she's going to put herself in the mix and take big swings. She's done that each of the last three years since turning pro and joining the On Athletics Club in 2022. She's fully committed to breaking through and make a U.S. team in the 800m, which is one of the toughest teams to make. The commitment is admirable. We chatted just days after she got into the blocks and opened up her outdoor season with a local 400m in Boulder. It was a tiny PR of 54.78. It speaks to her range with a 1:57 personal best for 800m and 4:25 for the mile. "The way I run is my biggest strength but I also think it's pretty entertaining and I want to be remembered not just for winning but for how I win races. I want people to think like this race is going to be entertaining because he's in it." 2024 1500m World Indoor Champion George Beamish, who was also just named to New Zealand's Olympic team for Paris in the steeplechase, finally makes his debut on The CITIUS MAG Podcast. He is coming off the best season of his career. In 2023, coach Dathan Ritzenhein decided it was time to go all-in on the steeplechase and it was a season-long experiment. He managed to get his personal best all the way down to 8:13 at the Monaco Diamond League and then put together one of the best performances of his career by finishing 5th in the World Championship final and third in the Diamond League final. Heading into 2024, he has a chance at the medals in the steeplechase. Mac Fleet and George talk about how he's developed in the event, his lethal Textbook George kick and what would make for a successful 2024 for him. "I was surprised and really proud people were chanting 'USA!' just like they were last year chanting my name. And I'm like they 'Do know I'm not gonna win this right?' But there was so much excitement. I feel like they really wanted it for me and still believe I could do something really special on that day so that was huge. When you're completely crumbling and people are still in awe of you that's wild, that's again what makes Boston a unique and special place." My guest for today's episode is Emma Bates fresh off another top American finish at the Boston Marathon in 2:27:14. For much of the first 20 miles, Emma led the pack with the confidence of a seasoned marathoner. You could not even tell that she was forced to heartbreakingly scratch from the 2024 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials due to a torn plantar. Before the race, she told me that she was confident in her fitness and believed she was back stronger than ever. Race day proved all of that. With every high-five exchanged and every cheer echoing in her ears, she talks about how she drew strength and excitement from the crowd in Boston. Even though, she won't be competing in the Olympics, her spirits is undiminished and plans to continue on her marathoning journey with a renewed sense of purpose. “The biggest learning experience was definitely Worlds. I feel like the other races are races I've done a lot before and I know how they go. Worlds was something I've only really done one other time. A big thing I wanted to take away from Worlds was just framing my mindset in a way that's ‘You are as good as you think you are. You just have to go out there and act like it.' … I gained a lot of success really quickly so it's been a bit surprising. I'm trying to focus on who I am as a runner and where I'm supposed to be in a race.” Yared Nuguse, the American record holder in the mile, claimed his first global championship medal with a runner-up finish for silver in the 3000m at the World Indoor Championships in Glasgow last month. Nuguse will open up his 2024 outdoor campaign with the mile at the Penn Relays. He was also announced as one of the headliners for the Bowerman Mile at the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene, Oregon on May 25th. The former Notre Dame star is considered one of the favorites to represent the United States at the 2024 Olympics in Paris. He qualified for the Tokyo Olympics with a third place finish at the 2021 U.S. Olympic Trials. However, he scratched from the race while in Tokyo due to a quad injury during his warmup. In this conversation, Mac Fleet sits down to recap his 2024 indoor season and how he's taking lessons from competing at two global championships to work in his favor come the Trials and Summer Games. “When I was running the race, I really didn't have a time in mind. I knew when I crossed that line that it was going to be a decent time…When I looked at the time, that was not what I was expecting to see there. That was pretty surreal. I'm super, super grateful.” Texas A&M junior Sam Whitmarsh popped onto our radar with a 1:44.46 at LSU's Battle on the Bayou meet on March 30th, which moved him to No. 7 on the all-time collegiate list. When we put the call out on the CITIUS MAG team for bold predictions for the 2024 season, Kyle Merber predicted that Whitmarsh would make the U.S. Olympic 800m team. Only U.S. champion and World Indoor champion Bryce Hoppel and 2023 NCAA champion Will Sumner ran faster than 1:44.46. The reason that people may not be as familiar with Whitmarsh is that his 2022 season was cut short as a freshman because he was diagnosed with Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) syndrome – a heart condition that leads to periods of rapid heart rate. In 2023, he was the SEC Championship runner-up and then only reached the NCAA West Regional in the 800m. This past indoor season, he missed qualifying for the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships by 0.01 sec. It feels like at every U.S. Olympic Trials or U.S. Championships there's a rising star out of the NCAA who can shake things up. Whitmarsh is looking like he could be that guy in 2024. Mary Ngugi-Cooper has been a formidable force in the Kenyan marathon scene within the past decade. Mary's journey is not just about her remarkable achievements on the roads; it's about her unwavering commitment to empowering women through the sport she loves. In the wake of a tragic loss that shook the running community to its core, Mary took action by responding to the heartbreaking murder of Agnes Tirop by founding Nala Track Club in October of 2022. Named after the Swahili word for a powerful, successful woman, Nala Track Club is a sanctuary for female athletes. But it's more than just a club; it's a beacon of hope. Mary's vision extends beyond the finish line, providing not only a safe haven for young women to train but also covering housing and education costs for those in need. Additionally, Nala Track Club has pioneered a groundbreaking coaches training program, empowering women to lead and mentor the next generation of Kenyan athletes. Nike has come on board with the to assist with funding the girls' basic needs and in-residence scholarships to remove financial barriers Her story is one of resilience, determination, and the transformative power of sport. It was super nice to chat with her just days before she went on to finish sixth in the Boston Marathon in 2:24:24. “All I want is to be healthy and train consistently. That's literally it. I try to keep things as simple as possible. I have a lot of confidence in myself that if I'm there on the start line and I'm prepared, I'm going in and do my thing and do really well…Last year unfortunately was another year where I wasn't able to do that. I do try and take stuff from those tough times. There's a lot to be gained when times are tough.” We continue our mini-series with members of the On Athletics Club as Mac Fleet sits down with Morgan McDonald on a recent trip to Boulder. In this episode, we chat about how he navigated his comeback from injury in 2023 to be able to compete at the World Championships in Budapest and Riga. He's played it a bit cautious with his approach to the indoor season but he's ready to open up the 2024 outdoor campaign with the Australian National Championships. We also get his thoughts on changes he'd like to see in the sport, the success of OAC and much more. “I think I'm ready for it. I'm excited for it. I have a lot of self-hatred, anger and adrenaline kicking in for this race. I know it's just the beginning of my season…With this, it's just about proving where I belong in Australian running and I have to back myself thinking I am in record holder in the event and I should act like it and train like it. I feel like we've been training smart and training well over the past few months. I've gone from a little confidence to a lot of confidence in about six weeks.” Australian Olympian and 1500m national record holder Olli Hoare unfortunately had to miss last year's World Championships with a sports hernia and some swelling in the groin area. He had just run a personal best of 3:29.41 at the Oslo Diamond League but the pain was too much to race through. After some time off and some heavy cross-training, he rejoined his OAC teammates for workouts in the fall and will race for the first time this weekend at the Australian National Championships. In this episode, Mac Fleet and him talk about the comeback process, what it was like watching his teammate have success at the World Indoor Championships, the way 1500m racing has evolved and more. "I've been to three Olympics and in two Olympics, I've gotten number two. I do believe if I will be one of them representing Kenya, it will be my biggest opportunity to show I've been doing this on the track but now I'm a marathoner. This time it will be that time to get that gold that I've been looking for so many years." The last time Hellen Obiri was a guest on the CITIUS MAG Podcast was way back in 2022 when she sat down with us at the World Championships in Eugene. That was just months before she made her marathon debut. Now, she's one of the best in the world. Last year, she won the Boston and New York City Marathons to really showcase her potential over the 26.2 mile distance. In less than two weeks, she will attempt to defend her title in Boston and hopefully do enough to impress Athletics Kenya's team of selectors who will announce their marathon team for the Paris Olympics following the spring slate of marathons. I believe she would be Kenya's best chance at gold, especially given the hilly nature of the Olympic marathon course. Obiri is a two-time Olympic silver medalist in the 5000 meters. The Penn Quakers of the Ivy League are coming off an uncharacteristic 3-7 season in 2021, but the team is looking to bounce back in the Ancient 8 in 2022, and they'll have a lot of experience coming back to help them do it. Matt Leon spoke with head coach Ray Priore to talk about his hopes for the squad and what to expect this season. (00:00-47:19) The John Kincade Show opens talking about the Phillies series win over the Braves. It was a big series win but there is still work to do. They need to take three of four from Pittsburgh. The show moves into recapping the Eagles first day of camp. The guys talk about Alec Bohm and his progression. Does this teach Phillies management anything as far a player development? (47:30-1:34:21) The second hour starts with John talking about a jaw dropping Phillies stat. The show talks about comments made by Ben Roethlisberger when asked about the difference between NFL players today compared to 20 years ago. In the Lynch Pin, Jamie talks about how Bryce Harper being on the bench with the team is a great sign for the guys playing. Bob introduces a new segment called Speak for Yourself. (1:34:32- 2:21:39) Nick Sirianni kicks off the season wearing another player tee. His choice of Jalen Hurts makes it apparent that Hurts is much more “his guy” than any of us ever think. Jamie does a dramatic interpretation of the Eagles beat endless tweeting on nonsense. In Cooney's Corner, Bob asks, how would you handle the Eagles offense if you're Sirianni or Steichen? Jamie suggests the Eagles should have open practices at Franklin Field. (2:21:49-3:07:21) Ricky Bo joins the show for the entire 9 o'clock hour. John Brazer from the Phillies also stops by in studio.
What a week. The 2022 NCAA championships are in the books and the Joseph Fahnbulleh freight train arrived, Katelyn Tuohy got NCAA title #1, Abby Steiner got some Allyson Felix comparisons - we break it all down. At 110:33 we are joined by the fastest high school 800m runner in the nation (and one of the most confident), Cade Flatt (@FlattCade & IG: @cadeflatt) from tiny Benton Kentucky (population 4,756) before he tries to break Michael Granville's 26-year-old national 800m record of 1:46.45 at this weekend's New Balance Outdoor Nationals at historic Franklin Field in Philadelphia. Cade talks about the record, his unorthodox training (how does a 5 mile week sound?), his confidence, and his desire to race the senior USATF Outdoor nationals this year. Devon Allen shocked the world at the NYC Grand Prix as the US stars were out in full force, Noah Lyles, Sydney McLaughlin, Christian Coleman and Sha'Carri Richardson in her fish net attire. The 50th NY Mini was held. A bonus length podcast to break it all down. Show notes below. Kimberly had a host of issues, crack cocaine chief among them. Johnny and Reef sit down with author Steve Sheinkin to talk about his book Undefeated, about perhaps the most remarkable team in college football history, the Carlisle Indians. Coached by the legendary Pop Warner, in 1907, a young man named Jim Thorpe joined the team, and a new era in college football was born. In fact, many say it was unveiled right here in Philadelphia, at Franklin Field, on October 26th, 1907. The lightly regarded Carlisle Indians came to Philly to take on the powerful Penn Quakers, and unveiled a new look: the single wing offense, similar to today's wildcat. Confounded by a team that was actually utilizing the forward pass, Penn was crushed by the underdogs, 28-6, and a new era in football was born. We talk to Steve about that game, about Pop Warner and Thorpe's relationship, and about the racist obstacles Thorpe faced in his playing days. It's a great chat about one of hte most remarkable figures in American sports history. If you enjoy it, please leave us a review and a 5 star rating!

He talks about his prodigious AUDL career, both on and off the field, going as far back as 2012, when he played in the inaugural AUDL playoffs with the Rhode Island Rampage down at Franklin Field. We also discuss the AUDL Inclusion Initiative and Matt's work as director of youth engagement for the league. He also strongly cautions Shaggy against getting into the league commissioner business. Finally, the trio ends with one of the most important topics on everyone's mind: what is your favorite unsanctioned fun tournament? Spoiler alert, Steve has a bunch of answers, doesn't let Shaggy talk, and doesn't even mention Wildwood! All this and more only on this weeks edition of the Burning Bird!
Five men were shot at the Franklin Field development in Dorchester last night. The shooting was not the only act of violence in our community last night.

Upton Bell Interview - Part 2 Note - This is part 2 of a 3-part series, diving into Upton's place in Baltimore Colts history. If you did not listen to part 1, I highly suggest you listen to last week's episode about how it was for Upton growing up with Bert Bell first. This episode we fire up the DeLorean and head back to October 11, 1959, the day Bert Bell passed away in front of his 2 teams at Franklin Field. We talked about this during the Bert Bell episode, and we left last week's episode off with this untimely death, forcing Upton Bell to make a decision about his future. In this episode, we find out what Upton did next, and how that decision ended up shaping the rest of his life. The story is told through the experiences of Upton Bell. Here you can find the dedicated Upton Bell page. Upton is the son of the First Great Commissioner of the NFL - Bert Bell. He joins us to share stories from his book: Present at the Creation - My Life in the NFL and the Rise of America's Game. Upton's book walks you through a journey in the history of the NFL unlike anyone else can. He had a first-hand glimpse of the beginning of the NFL when he was the son of Bert Bell, the first Great Commissioner. Upton was at a crossroads when his father passed away and ended up working for the Baltimore Colts and the Great Don Shula. He was the youngest GM in the NFL at the time when he took over for the then, Boston Patriots. He later owned the Charlotte Hornets, a World Football League organization. And as if that wasn’t enough of a diverse background, he worked his way into the media as a sportscaster. Oh, by the way, he interviewed some of the greatest people in the nation at the time. Some include George HW Bush, Bill Clinton, and Stephen Hawking. This is the 10,000 Eagle Eye View of Upton’s life, and there’s no way I could do it justice, so let’s get down to the nitty-gritty. So without further ado, I present to you, Upton Bell. So, strap on your seat belt, and let’s get ready to take this baby up to 88mph. Upton Bell Book - Present At The Creation Note - As an affiliate, I earn a commission on qualifying purchases. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. There was never a dull moment, and I highly suggest you pick it up. The interview is a 3-part series, but it would take triple that to cover everything in this book (maybe more). It's mostly a chronology of Upton's life. The book starts at the beginning, giving you an inside look into why Bert Bell was considered the First Great Commissioner. Then it walks you through his days with the Baltimore Colts, on to the craziness of the disorganized "Boston" Patriots, up to his time as an owner in the WFL, and then as a broadcaster. Of course, there's plenty more in between. This is the movie Upton talked about during this episode that gives you an idea of Baltimore Colts history and what the team meant to the city. He said it gives you a good idea of what it was like back then. A bird's-eye view of Penn's campus provides a unique perspective on some of the University's iconic structures, such as Huntsman Hall, Franklin Field, and the brick pathways that lace College Green. Penn's beautiful urban campus stretches from Penn Park to 40th Street, and is open to all. Committed to sustainability and urban green space, the University plans to add more than 1,700 trees to campus by 2015. More than 500 have already been planted throughout Penn Park. The Park has increased the University's green space by 20 percent. It also has created a new gateway uniting West Philadelphia with Center City. As President Amy Gutmann said in September, during the park's grand opening: "Penn Park marks the first time that the University has, by design, developed open space for the use of the Penn community and beyond."
