The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Episode (01/02/2025): 3:05pm- At 3:15am on Wednesday morning, a man behind the wheel of a pickup truck purposefully struck pedestrians celebrating the New Year on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, Louisiana—ultimately leaving 15 people dead. FBI officials identified the attacker as Shamsud-Din Bahar Jabbar and revealed he had an ISIS flag in his possession at the time of the attack. He also made several posts to social media in support of ISIS. The attack is now being investigated as an act of terrorism. 3:15pm- On Thursday, Las Vegas officials identified Matthew Alan Livelsberger as the man likely responsible for detonating a car bomb outside of the Trump hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada—though, they insisted they would not know the man's identity for certain without confirmation via a DNA test. Investigators say they do not believe there is any connection between the attack in New Orleans and the car explosion in Las Vegas. 3:30pm- Dr. John Eastman—Senior Fellow of the Claremont Institute and Author of the spending clause entries in the Oxford Encyclopedia of Legal History and the Heritage Guide to the Constitution—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss his latest article for The Federalist, “How DOGE Can Tackle the National Debt by Returning to Constitutional Spending.” You can read the article here: https://thefederalist.com/2024/12/11/how-doge-can-tackle-the-national-debt-by-returning-to-constitutional-spending/ 3:40pm- While speaking to the press on Thursday, President Joe Biden condemned the attacks in New Orleans and Las Vegas while stressing that preliminary investigations have found no connection between the two acts of terrorism. 4:05pm- “New Orleans' FBI Office, Police Department Are Chock Full Of DEI Nonsense.” Eireann Van Natta of The Daily Caller writes: “The New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) and the city's FBI field office are staunch advocates for diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI)—and those same agencies are investigating the terrorist attack that killed at least 15 people early Wednesday morning. The New Orleans FBI Field Office has aggressively promoted diversity initiatives on social media, especially in its recruitment efforts.” You can read the full article here: https://dailycaller.com/2025/01/02/new-orleans-police-department-fbi-office-dei-diversity-terrorist-attack-15-jabbar-new-years/ 4:30pm- Nicole Neily—Founder and President of Parents Defending Education—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss a newly released report “revealing that from 2021-2024, the Department of Justice (DOJ) spent over $100M in federal funding in 36 states, 946 K-12 school districts and over 3M K-12 students to promote restorative justice practices, social emotional learning, and DEI in the classroom.” You can learn more about Parents Defending Education here: https://defendinged.org 4:45pm- Listener Minnie calls into the show from Texas and reveals she is the founder/president of the Matt DeSantis fan club! 5:00pm- Will Mike Johnson Retain the House Speakership? According to The Wall Street Journal, Congressman Thomas Massie (R-KY) will not vote for Johnson on Friday. Siobhan Hughes writes: “House Republicans have 219 seats, compared with 215 for Democrats, who are expected to stay united in backing their leader, Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D., N.Y.). The math means if only one other Republican joins Massie in voting for an alternative candidate, Johnson could fall short of a majority. While other Republicans have grumbled about Johnson and say the speaker vote could go to several rounds, none has said they would vote against him.” You can read the full article here: https://www.wsj.com/politics/thomas-massie-needs-backup-to-take-out-mike-johnson-e5db12df?mod=hp_lead_pos2 5:15pm- “As Covid Lab Leak Suspicion Lingers, WHO Urges China to Share Virus Origin Data.” Mari Eccles of Politico writes: “The World Health Organization (WHO) has urged Beijing to share data on the origins of the coronavirus, f ...
2025 is off to a very difficult start, as Jim and Greg assess two terrorist attacks on New Year's Day, less-than-reassuring responses from federal officials, and possible GOP drama as the new Congress kicks off on Friday.First, Jim and Greg document the horrific terrorist attack that occurred early Wednesday morning in New Orleans, where a driver deliberately plowed a rented truck through crowds on Bourbon Street and then opening fire on police officers and bystanders. The attacker was also found to have improvised explosive devices in his vehicle. Jim and Greg also examine the details of the Las Vegas car bombing and what we can glean from that.Next, they express concern over the FBI's initial, contradictory statements regarding whether the New Orleans attack is being investigated as an act of terrorism. They were also underwhelmed by how President Biden looked and sounded on Wednesday. Finally, they look ahead to the start of the new Congress on Friday, focusing on the ongoing drama within the House GOP. They examine whether Republicans will unite behind Mike Johnson as Speaker of the House or whether internal divisions will create another intraparty struggle before the House can get to work. While acknowledging frustration over the previous government funding bill, Jim and Greg explain why there isn't another viable option for Republicans in the Speaker race.

Mexico's war on drugs refers to the ongoing conflict and efforts by the Mexican government to combat drug trafficking organizations operating within the country. The war on drugs in Mexico gained significant attention in the mid-2000s and has since resulted in widespread violence, human rights abuses, and social unrest. The roots of Mexico's drug war can be traced back to the 1980s and 1990s when drug cartels, mainly based in the northern states, began to grow in power and influence. The cartels, such as the Sinaloa Cartel, Gulf Cartel, and Juarez Cartel, engaged in drug trafficking, organized crime, and corruption, posing a significant threat to Mexico's stability and security. The conflict escalated in 2006 when then-President Felipe Calderón launched a military-led crackdown on the drug cartels, deploying tens of thousands of troops across the country. This marked the official beginning of Mexico's war on drugs. The government's objective was to dismantle the cartels, reduce drug-related violence, and restore public order. However, the intensified enforcement actions had unintended consequences. The aggressive approach led to a surge in violence as the cartels resisted the government's efforts, resulting in a cycle of retaliatory attacks, massacres, and the targeting of law enforcement officials, politicians, and journalists.Innocent civilians have also been caught in the crossfire, leading to a significant loss of life and widespread human rights abuses. The drug war has exposed systemic issues within Mexico, including corruption within law enforcement agencies and the government, weak institutions, and socio-economic disparities. It has also fueled the growth of criminal organizations and the expansion of their activities beyond drug trafficking, such as extortion, kidnapping, and human trafficking. In this episode, we hear about a troubling new tactic used by the cartel that injured 8 Mexican national guardsman.(commercial at 7:17)to contact me:bobbycapucci@Protonmail.comsource:Car Bomb Explodes In Mexican City Amid Escalating Cartel Turf War (latintimes.com)Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.

Two-time Stanley Cup champion Daniel Carcillo doesn't want someone else to be in the same position he was which is contemplating suicide. Fueled by a Traumatic Brain Injury after years of playing professional hockey and with a nickname like Car Bomb, Daniel was known as an enforcer. He was a very popular player with the Philadelphia Flyers, Chicago Blackhawks, and everywhere else he played. You have a lot more years to live after professional sports. After the loss of his friend who was also a former NHL player suffering from concussion syndrome, Daniel spiraled. His mission in life included taking on the NHL. He wanted to answer why NHL players struggle so much with moving on from the game. Why are so many former players I know battling depression? Why does the hockey community ignore them when they're gone? And why can't we create a more concrete program to help them transition into real life? After his own experience with psychedelic mushroom therapy and the associated re-integration, Daniel decided to make this his mission; to help former athletes and other people suffering from depression, post-concussion syndrome and other mental health challenges through natural medicines including psilocybin and plant medicine. This is an impactful episode. Please don't forget to leave 5 stars and your comments! Warning: If you prefer to watch a film with a blank slate, don't listen to this episode if you haven't seen or read Killers of the Flower Moon. While it doesn't give away spoilers or information that isn't widely known, and the film itself will be a powerful discovery given the stunning directing, acting, and musical score, it does prepare you for an unforgettable experience with a crash course on the brutal history. Andrea and Terrell Starr of the essential Black Diplomats Podcast and Substack have been watching the rich offering of Best Picture Oscar contenders, and have a lot to say about Killers of the Flower Moon. While it was eclipsed by buzzier films like Oppenheimer and Barbie, Killers of the Flower Moon is a monumental masterpiece that explains how America was founded and the forces we are up against today. No one should be surprised by Trump. Trumpism is what founded our country. Killers of the Flower Moon reminds us of the urgent importance and power of art. During his decade of pro hockey, former Chicago Blackhawk Daniel Carcillo (nicknamed "Car Bomb" for his aggressive approach on the ice) racked up two Stanley Cup Championships and over 150 fights. But the stat most pressing to Carcillo since his retirement has been the seven diagnosed concussions he sustained as a player, and the hundreds he says that went undiagnosed through his career. Now, Carcillo has made it his mission to push state and federal agencies for funding as well as public access to psilocybin -- generally referred to as "magic mushrooms" -- a natural treatment for the traumatic brain injuries that he says saved his life. This week, during Brain Injury Awareness Month, we hear audio from WBBM reporter Jim Gudas' recent interview with Carcillo, as well as State Senator Rachel Ventura discussing Illinois' approach to this potential treatment with host and producer Jim Hanke. When Daniel Carcillo played in the NHL, he was known as an enforcer so tough and volatile, that he earned the nickname “Car Bomb.” In his 12 seasons in the NHL, Daniel was member of two Stanley Cup-winning teams (2013 and 2015 Chicago Blackhawks), lead the league in penalty minutes, and was fined or suspended by the NHL twelve times. He also suffered about a dozen concussions and was diagnosed with early-onset dementia at 30 years old. As he told me, “I know I have CTE,” a progressive and fatal brain disease that he believes drove him to the brink of suicide until—as he describes it—mushroom therapy saved his life. Today, Daniel is a brain health advocate and the Founder/ CEO of Wesana Health, a life sciences company that leverages psilocybin-based medicine to treat traumatic brain injuries. In this episode, Daniel and I discuss: Canada's hockey culture Whether winning the Stanley Cup made him happy The culture of violence in the NHL. The epidemic of brain injury among athletes. How psilocybin, mushrooms, MDMA, Ketamine and other non-traditional medicines are being used treat depression, PTSD, and brain disease Please note I neither endorse nor disapprove of Daniel's POV here. I think there's a lot to learn in this space that could potentially benefit a lot of people who are suffering. Thank you to my friend Peter Fish for connecting me with Daniel.
The boys are back with a very special episode with a very special guest. Before they get into the interview, they get into a little bit of house keeping talking about the roster moves the Hawks have made so far in training camp to get the roster trimmed down. Then they are joined by two time Stanley Cup Champion the Car Bomb himself Daniel Carrillo. They have an amazing talk about his time in the NHL and the work he put into getting there. He touches on a little bit about the changes in the game and why he thinks they are going in the right direction. The super interesting part of this interviews is talking bout his post NHL career and the amazing work he is doing with My Crew Doses, Healing CREI, and working to help getting Veterans the proper treatment they need. It is a fascinating talk about alternative medicine and how micro dosing mushrooms and CBD has helped him get his life back. In this episode, we hear about a troubling new tactic used by the cartel that injured 8 Mexican national guardsman.(commercial at 10:09)to contact me:bobbycapucci@Protonmail.comsource:Car Bomb Explodes In Mexican City Amid Escalating Cartel Turf War (latintimes.com)This show is part of the Spreaker Prime Network, if you are interested in advertising on this podcast, contact us at https://www.spreaker.com/show/5080327/advertisement

On today's “Post Reports,” how a car bombing in Moscow has become a flash point in the war in Ukraine, and what it could signal is coming next. Read more:On Saturday, Daria Dugina, the daughter of a far-right Russian nationalist, died in a car bombing in a Moscow suburb. Russia's domestic security agency, the FSB, accused Ukraine of organizing the attack, which many think was intended for Dugina's father, Alexander Dugin. Ukraine denied any involvement. The killing has already created a new flash point, as Putin's ally calls for “more than revenge” for his daughter's killing and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warns of a possible escalation in Russian attacks ahead of Ukraine's independence day. Reporter Mary Ilyushina explains what this bombing could mean for the future of the war in Ukraine.
