Karly is highly considering traveling to Florida next week to see the NASA rocket launch. A plane and a fire truck crashed on a runway at La Guardia Airport yesterday. Air traffic control had cleared the firetruck to cross, but then they quickly told the truck to stop. The truck did not stop and drove right in front of the airplane. Animal control showed up at Nancy’s farm because someone called them to check on her horses. Nancy doesn’t have any horses. She figured out that they should’ve been at her neighbors’ house (the same neighbor that has been causing problems with shooting). Hot Tea: A contestant from The Bachelorette says that he asked Taylor about her arrest during a date, and she freaked out and left the set. Ella Langley had a huge God moment that changed her life and made her pick up her Bible again. A nursing home is trying to get approval for a “grandparent happy hour” so they can serve alcohol. What’s your perfect fast-food plate? If you could choose an entree, side, drink, and dessert from any fast-food place, what would you choose? Nancy placed an order of 90+ bags of mulch for curb side delivery from Lowe’s. She thought it was a genius hack to get the workers to load it for her. When she showed up at the store, the workers were clearly annoyed with her. They were even more annoyed when she came back for 30 more bags. Daylight Saving Time starts this weekend, so the clocks will spring forward. Joey’s son Marvin has strep and flu b, and they are supposed to leave for vacation on Friday. They are scrambling to get him better and not get anyone else sick. Nancy’s 13-year-old is still in a cast and sling because of his broken arm. He still went to his baseball team’s game last night to be with them for the game. During the game, Nancy noticed that he was hiding behind a tree peeing. After he finished, he couldn’t get his pants and belt back together with one arm. He walked to the dugout and had one of his friends fix his pants. There was a total lunar eclipse this morning, and Karly was excited about it. It was supposed to be visible near the horizon, so she had an idea to get on the radio station roof so she might be able to see it. She asked the engineering department if that was possible, and they nicely told her it wasn’t a good idea. Then, it was cloudy this morning anyway, so it wouldn’t have mattered. Hot Tea: Jelly Roll revealed that he attended the Grammys with a broken collarbone after flipping an ATV. Flying Ubers are coming to Dubai in the next few months, A woman was given a ticket for driving with a phone in her right hand... she is taking it to court because she physically does not have a right hand. DIY Joe was back in action yesterday. Joey noticed the paint on his ceiling was a little bubbly where he had it repaired last year. He got up on a ladder to sand, scrape, and repaint the ceiling. A guy that lives in Germany called to check in with us! Nancy took Joey’s life hack and drove to the airport to buy plane tickets for spring break. She saved almost $180 by doing so. If you buy tickets online, you are charged a fee, but you aren’t charged in person at the airport counter. The lady at the counter said that lots of people have been coming to buy tickets there after Joey talked about it on the radio last year. Joey and Karly have been watching tv shows about the Kennedy family. Karly is watching Love Story: John F Kennedy Jr and Carolyn Bessette. Joey is watching a minute-by-minute breakdown of when JFK got assassinated. Hot Tea: The surgery that Lindsey Vonn had after her crash at the Olympics saved her from getting her leg amputated. Vogue magazine has declared 2026 as the “year of the crack.” It says that “backside cleavage” and low-rise jeans should become a trend. A naked man was arrested for stealing an ambulance that had a patient inside. A mom that has been considered missing for 24 years was found alive and well in North Carolina. She was reported missing in December of 2001 after she left home to go Christmas shopping and she never returned. Now that she has been found, she told the police that she did not want her family to know her location. Her family is happy to hear she is alive after all these years but is upset and wonders why she left them. Nancy is supposed to be going on a cruise to Mexico for spring break. She is really worried about it now though because of the cartel activity happening there. Karly’s pants ripped in the Target dressing room yesterday and she had to buy new pants. Then, she bought a Nintendo Switch because she loves playing with the kids at Joey’s house. She had trouble with one of the controllers and called Joey’s 9-year-old for help. The Girl Scouts are out selling cookies in full force. One Gril Scout from Pennsylvania went viral and has sold over 80k boxes of cookies. Nashville residents are NOT happy with their electric company. People are reporting that their electric bills are double what they usually are, even though they didn’t have power for over a week during the ice storm. Nancy had to go to Children’s Hospital last night because her 13-year-old broke his arm. He was riding a friend’s dirtbike and crashed it. Both bones in his forearm are broken, and he may need surgery. Hot Tea: Robert Duvall and Jesse Jackson passed away. Dwight Yoakum was late to a concert due to his plane having major technical issues. A swimmer’s prosthetic leg was swept away from her in the ocean. A few weeks later, it washed up on shore, someone found it, and returned it to her. A squirrel chewed through wires in a house and caused the whole house to catch fire. Also, a cat (in a different house) turned a burner on the stove on, which then caused a large fire. Thankfully, everyone is okay! We then asked people how their pet has almost killed them. Karly got a B12 shot yesterday to help give her energy. When she saw how big the needle was, she freaked out and acted like a baby. Thankfully, it didn’t hurt much. Nancy has to go get the shingles vaccine today. Nancy has a consult with an esthetician today to “fix” her face. She says her face is drooping and she has too many wrinkles. We investigated the “real jobs” of the Winter Olympians. Most are just regular people who are also into their sport. Jobs include a dentist, an ice cream parlor owner, a nurse, a horticulturist, a Buddhist priest, and more. Joey has started trolling his kids at school pick up. He plays Disney music loudly when he drives up to pick up his 12-year-old. For his 9-year-old, Marvin, Joey stays silent just to see how long it takes for Marv to break the silence. Hot Tea: Following her crash while skiing, Lindsey Vonn spoke out to say she has a tibia fracture that will require multiple surgeries. Her dad doesn’t want her to ski ever again. In Kṛṣṇa's greatness, He has the power to reveal Himself to us. If you're going for a job interview, you really need the job—but they don't really need you—they're going to listen to 200 applicants. What is your attitude when you go in? Consider that relationship. I'm not saying it's synonymous with our relationship with Kṛṣṇa because, unlike a cold-hearted employer, Kṛṣṇa is always our friend. Gajendra says this when he talks about being in peril; he tells the Lord, 'You're always attentive to me, not just when I pray. Even before I come into a hyper-state of neediness and start praying to You, You already are attentive to my needs and desires. You've always been fulfilling them, and You've always been there for me.' It's just that, now, I've woken up to another state of consciousness and I need You. But we have to consider our relationship with Kṛṣṇa. This is the methodology of bhakti: it's not that we pry knowledge from the Absolute Truth; not that we demand, or that we have a sense of entitlement. All of these are prohibitive of realizing our relationship with Kṛṣṇa. This is one of the topics Kṛṣṇa talks about in the Bhagavad-gītā, in the 13th Chapter, when He talks about our relationship with the world—that we are consciousness and the rest of the material manifestation is mechanical. We're very different from the mechanical nature of the world. And then He gives this list of 20 attitudes that allow us to understand our nature and the nature of God. It starts with humility, and then the second one is pridelessness. It goes on from there with very 'non-scientific' approaches—at least, non-scientific in terms of the idea that the empiric observer, through discipline and the controlled experiment, can pry knowledge from material nature.God can't be controlled. Nancy is annoyed that Joey gives her crap for trying new things but doesn’t do that to Karly. Karly signed up for a Jui Jitsu class as a “side quest,” and Joey has said nothing. But he judged Nancy for things like being obsessed with a blender. NASA is sending 4 astronauts to the moon on a 10-day orbit mission! Karly is nerding out over it, but Nancy says it would be boring. Hot Tea: Bill Belichick was NOT inducted into the football hall of fame, and people think he was snubbed. Bruce Willis’ wife says Bruce doesn’t know he has dementia, and she is glad. Rhode Island is considering discontinuing their Mr. Potato Head themed charity license plate because the Hasbro headquarters is moving to another state. Karly is worried that she is getting addicted to nose spray. She has been using decongestant nose spray for her sinuses for six days now. You aren’t supposed to use it more than 4 days in a row because it can make you addicted or dependent on it.
