Ea a născut 2 copii surzi, unul dintre ei suferind de sindromul Down. Podiumul olimpic!

Lindsey Vonn revealed she almost lost her leg after her crash at the Winter Olympics.
0:00 - Do Canada hockey fans understand how sports hate and sports trash talk work? Because those hosers to the North have been pretty soft on social media these last few days. 14:13 - The Nuggets have a turnover issue. That much is clear. But the issue isn't how often they're turning the ball over. It's about WHEN they're turning it over.27:39 - Oh, by the way...Lindsey Vonn came THIS close to getting her leg amputated. The doctor saved her leg. Oh, by the way, Jusuf Nukic is having a season-ending procedure on his...nose? Oh, by the way, the field is set for the NCAA Rifle Championship tournament coming up next month. And the competing teams are exactly who you'd expect.
Michael "Rooster" Phelan The "Moral Dilemma" Punch: Rooster delivers a powerful segment questioning his fandom for the New York Giants after disturbing emails surfaced regarding co-owner Steve Tisch. He takes a firm stance, stating he cannot support the team if Tisch is not forced out, sparking a deep debate on the morality of sports ownership. The "Bald Vanity" Rant: In a lighter but equally passionate moment, Rooster "punches" male athlete vanity, specifically mocking LeBron James and Jalen Brown for using hair polish and a boxer whose toupee flew off mid-fight. Homer Hopes: Rooster expresses his "homer" hope for the Giants to hire a disciplinarian coach like Tom Coughlin or John Harbaugh to bring structure to the team's young talent. Chris "Bison" Nace National Catchers Day Celebration: Bison brings an entire roster of legendary catchers—including Josh Gibson, Johnny Bench, and Gary Carter—to "the bar" in honor of National Catchers Day. The Washington Post Defense: Bison delivers a stinging "punch" to Jeff Bezos for the decline of The Washington Post's sports section, lamenting the loss of embedded local reporting and the impact on the sports community. Skepticism of the "Upstart" Patriots: Bison mockingly refers to the New England Patriots as an "upstart franchise" that has never been to a Super Bowl, before acknowledging his genuine annoyance that "they're f***ing back". Bryan Pope The Olympic History Buff: Pope shines as the resident expert on the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, sharing details about Lindsey Vonn's attempt to be the oldest medalist and the unique "luxury resort" setting of Cortina in the Dolomites. "Sir Barks-a-Lot" & Tennis: Pope explains how his 13-year-old golden retriever, Carmichael (aka Sir Barks-a-Lot), waking him up at 3AM led to him becoming an accidental expert on the Australian Open. The "Pope Stat": He provides the unique trivia that Charlie Puth is the first Jewish singer to perform the national anthem at the Super Bowl. Tobi "House" Millrood The "Birding" Quarterback: House brings fellow "birder" Sam Darnold to the bar, celebrating the quarterback's redemption arc as a "Lasso story" while defending his own hobby of ornithology and bird calls. The Manchester United Haircut Bet: House tracks the viral story of Frank Illett, a fan who hasn't cut his hair in 485 days, betting that if the team wins two more games, they will have him on the pod for a live head-shaving. The "Breaking Away" Comparison: House compares the long-suffering Indiana Hoosiers fans' recent success to the movie Breaking Away, celebrating their journey from "all thin" to a "colossal all-time ride". Patrick "Milk" Mickler The "Quad God" Aficionado: Milk stuns the other hosts with his knowledge of figure skating, introducing them to Ilya Malinin (the "Quad God") and explaining the emotional weight of the team's history following a tragic plane crash. The "Cycle of Hell": Milk provides a cynical but realistic breakdown of the "NFL cycle of hell," where good offensive coordinators are immediately hired away as head coaches, leaving teams like his Buccaneers in a constant state of turnover. The Outdoor Hockey Hype: Milk celebrates the success of the Stadium Series in Tampa, describing the "phenomenal" scene of outdoor hockey in 38-degree Florida weather.

In the news this morning, Robert Carradine passed away at the age of 71, an update on the search for Nancy Guthrie, a Canadian man is going viral for taking a chainsaw to his television after the US Men's Hockey gold medal win at the Olympics, and a man with Tourette Syndrome had a very untimely outburst at the BAFTA awards over the weekend. In sports, the Bucks play tonight against the Heat, the Badgers are out of the Top 25 and take on Ohio State tomorrow night, Lindsey Vonn's leg almost got amputated after her crash at the winter games, the US Women's Hockey team declines President Trump's invite to the White House, and it looks like Manny Pacquiao is going to fight Floyd Mayweather again. We talked about what's on TV today/tonight and what's new on New Release Tuesday. Plus, a former star of "Home Improvement" gets sentenced to 16 months in jail. Elsewhere in sports, Kevin Harvick's son signs a deal with Toyota, Tyrese Haliburton has shingles, and a look ahead at the next Olympic games in 2028. Vogue has apparently declared 2026 "The Year of the Crack". And a list of things that seem impressive until you actually do them. Grant Bilse of the Wisco Sports Show joined us just after 8am to talk about the Brewers' rough start to spring training and his recap of the Olympics. Wild story about a moving crew in Phoenix that helped save a 3 year-old after an Amber Alert was issued, and a woman's diamond went missing but was later found on the bottom of some guy's shoe! And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a food delivery robot that destroyed a woman's garden, a college professor who got caught saying some racist stuff with a hot mic, a kid who was the victim of a throat-slashing is going viral for his attitude during a TV interview with his mom, and a guy in Kentucky got busted for having sex with roadkill.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

"You have to fight through some bad days to earn the best days of your life." — Lindsey Vonn After a devastating Olympic crash and yet another surgery, Lindsey Vonn didn't ask, "Why me?" She reminded the world this isn't the end of her story. That response is what separates elite performers. In this episode, we explore why adversity isn't proof you're failing — it's proof you're competing. Our grit research with professional athletes shows that every top performer faces setbacks. What sets them apart is how they respond. We discuss: Why high performers believe adversity is happening for them, not to them How doubt and other people's opinions (OPP) erode confidence The powerful question that fuels growth: "What is this teaching me?" Adversity isn't a detour. It's the path. Power Phrase: I embrace adversity. It's shaping me into who I'm meant to become. Send a textThe NFL season is officially over… and Super Bowl LX is in the books. The Seattle Seahawks walk away as champions after taking down the Patriots, not the flashiest game we've ever seen, but history doesn't care about style points.Records shattered.Legacies stamped. And a few narratives got real quiet. And then there was the halftime show…Bad Bunny pulled 135 MILLION views... the most watched halftime show ever... and somehow still seen as the "worst show, ever," by some.Love it or hate it… everyone watched. We're breaking down everything from Super Bowl Sunday; the game, the moments that mattered, the records, the reactions, the officiating and where the league turns now that the season is officially closed. But also... The Olympics are here. From shocking finishes and brutal injuries, we'll hit the biggest stories as the global stage heats up.No scripts. No filters. If you enjoy the show, hit that like button and drop your takes in the comments, it helps more than you know.Raw. Unfiltered. Probably loud.
Handcuffed woman caught eating cocaine hidden inside her pants, So it wasn't enough that Lindsey Vonn crashed out of her Olympic comeback...her dog died the next day, Woman is given prison time for using a megaphone to insuly neighbors for almost two years
Keely's back from her Step 1 Medical Licensing Exam and honeymoon chaos, and we're diving straight into one of the most important conversations for female athletes right now: stress.Stress from training. Stress from life. Stress from the world. Stress from big exams and big dreams. It's a perfect transition into the brand new 2025 Female Athlete Triad Coalition consensus update and what those changes means for athletes, coaches, and doctors. We break down:What cortisol actually is (and why it's not always the villain)Energy deficiency vs. REDs vs. the Female Athlete TriadWhy BMI isn't an accurate measure of athlete healthNew hormonal markers that do matterWhy adolescent runners are especially vulnerableAnd why life stress absolutely counts when it comes to health and performanceAnd then Keely and Corrine address the “Lindsey Vonn controversy,” highlighting the clear double standard in how injured athletes are judged. When men compete through injury, it's called grit. When women do, it's labeled reckless or irresponsible. This episode is brought to you by:rabbit: If you're looking to treat yourself after the holidays or upgrade your winter running kit, head to www.runinrabbit.com and use code FEBTRAIL in February for 10% off.ProBio: Use code Trail20 for 20%-off orders (30%-off + free shipping w/ subscriptions) at probionutrition.comFeisty Strong Retreat in Atlanta - April 17-19, 2026: https://feisty.co/events/feisty-strong-retreat-atlanta/@feisty_media@trail.society
Today's Poll Question at Smerconish.com: "Should American Olympic athletes make political statements during the games?" As the Winter Games unfold in Milan-Cortina, several Team USA athletes are speaking out about U.S. politics—from immigration enforcement to LGBTQ rights—prompting a sharp response from former President Trump. Michael examines whether Olympic competition should remain a politics-free zone or whether athletes have every right to use their global platform. With reactions from Lindsey Vonn, Chloe Kim, Mikaela Shiffrin and others, plus a look back at historic Olympic protests, this episode asks whether national unity is still possible in an age of constant partisanship—or if even the Games are now part of America's culture wars. We are officially living the "O-head" Olympic lifestyle, but the podium isn't all glory. This week, we're debating Lindsey Vonn's controversial decision to compete on a torn ACL. Was it a display of heart, or did she rob a healthy athlete of their shot at gold? Plus, we break down the most unhinged post-race interview in history: a Norwegian bronze medalist who decided a global broadcast was the perfect place to trauma-dump about his infidelity and recent breakup. The conversation takes a serious turn as we dive into the Lucy Letby case. We analyze the trial of the neonatal nurse convicted of murdering infants and ask the tough question: was justice served, or did a flawed medical system produce a flawed trial? We also tackle the modern feminist dilemma of splitting the bill on a first date and explore the dark side of the creator economy—YouTubers who use FOIA requests to profit off body cam footage of women being arrested. Finally, Sarah is prepping for jury duty, and we're taking bets on how long it takes her to turn the courtroom into a Law & Order episode. #LucyLetby #OlympicDrama #LindseyVonn #TrueCrimePodcast #FirstDateEtiquetteBrain Candy Podcast Website - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/Brain Candy Podcast Book Recommendations - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/books/Brain Candy Podcast Merchandise - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/candy-store/Brain Candy Podcast Candy Club - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/product/candy-club/Brain Candy Podcast Sponsor Codes - https://thebraincandypodcast.com/support-us/Brain Candy Podcast Social Media & Platforms:Brain Candy Podcast LIVE Interactive Trivia Nights - https://www.youtube.com/@BrainCandyPodcast/streamsBrain Candy Podcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/braincandypodcastHost Susie Meister Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/susiemeisterHost Sarah Rice Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/imsarahriceBrain Candy Podcast on X: https://www.x.com/braincandypodBrain Candy Podcast Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/braincandy (JOIN FREE - TONS OF REALITY TV CONTENT)Brain Candy Podcast Sponsors, partnerships, & Products that we love:For 50% off your order, head to https://www.dailylook.com and use code BRAINCANDYFor a limited time, get 60% off your first order, plus free shipping, when you head to https://www.smalls.com/braincandyHead to https://www.brodo.com/CANDY for 20% off your first subscription order and use code CANDY for an additional $10 off. Happy National Do a Grouch a Favor Day! We kick off the episode with a recap of Erin's chaotic appearance on the local WFMZ news, where she accidentally crashed a tearful anchor goodbye while wearing a $368 Team USA Ralph Lauren sweater and "hard pants." Bo was so impressed he offered to cover the upcoming Craig Conover 10K race from a news van. Speaking of the 10K, we review some diabolical listener suggestions for the loser's punishment—from taking the SATs to running from Deputy Dog Radar in a bite suit. Then we dive into a massive Winter Olympics recap. We review the Milan Opening Ceremony and passionately defend Lindsey Vonn from the haters after her devastating crash. We also celebrate our official "Swiffer Curling" manifestation coming true for Chris Plys, debate whether the Snoop Dogg commentary gimmick is getting tired (should Elmo or Gordon Ramsay replace him?), and praise Team USA's tailored outfits alongside Mongolia's effortlessly "dripped out" uniforms. We also uncover the most insane sports cheating scandal of the year: male ski jumpers injecting their private parts with hyaluronic acid to increase their suit's aerodynamic airtime. In other sports news, we celebrate Ricky Stenhouse Jr.'s iconic Chef Boyardee NASCAR wrap and merch drop, while Erin spirals over an offer to caddy at a professional PGA tour event, fearing a sweaty, club dropping disaster. Finally, we time travel to recap a mostly boring Super Bowl. We complain about the endless pharmaceutical and crypto ads, but applaud 50 Cent's incredibly petty DoorDash commercial taking shots at Diddy. We also review Bad Bunny's halftime show, praising the stunning set design, Puerto Rican cultural pride, and the emotional moment he handed a Grammy to his younger self. We wrap it all up with a wholesome "No Bad, No Sad" story about a Japanese volleyball player who hit a sideline worker with a ball and practically slid across the court on his belly to profusely apologize.
Kaitlin and Scott, Emily and Matt share their couple origin stories in honor of Valentine's Day. It's v cute. We unpack the Olympic cheater. Lindsey Vonn (is not the Olympic cheater). The human grass during Bad Bunny's halftime show. Matt turns another year older. We realize we now relate more to the parents of professional athletes than the athletes themselves. Organized sports? Apparently bad now. Parenting content on Instagram is ruining everything. Are Kaitlin and Scott having vasectomy regrets? Happy Thanksgiving! Are you watching the Winter Olympics right now? Because if you are, then you've probably witnessed real-time examples of resilience, and it forces a bigger question: do you really know how resilient you are until you're tested? In this Habits & Hustle episode, I am joined by one of my dearest, closest friends Shani to talk about resilience in its greatest form, the Winter Olympics, and to give a big shout out to Olympic champion Lindsey Vonn, who has been here on the podcast before. We get into what it takes to compete at 41 years old, tear your ACL ten days before competition day and still show up, and why that level of commitment is what separates high performers from everyone else. If you have something you want to accomplish or a standard you're ready to rise to, this conversation is your reminder that with the right mindset and real commitment, nothing can stop you. Tune in. Uncle Si's unhinged grizzly attack tips kick things off as he confidently explains exactly what he'd do if a bear charged and it may or may not actually end in injury. Martin can't decide if he's more terrified of facing a grizzly one-on-one or getting surrounded by a wolf pack, and the debate only escalates from there. Godwin admits he still can't always tell which twin granddaughter is which, but their unforgettable toots make a strong case for keeping score. John-David fills Si in on Lindsey Vonn's shocking Olympic crash and the jaw-dropping reality elite athletes face every day.
