As more stories continue to emerge from Blizzard Entertainment, this week, we waded into the swamp once again to investigate the departure of former Blizzard President, J Allen Brack. Unfortunately, that's not where the depressing stories ended. Anyone looking forward to the upcoming Horizon Forbidden West might have to wait even longer, as recent rumours have suggested Sony's highly anticipated PS5 title might have been delayed into 2022. Fortunately, we did find time for some optimism in this episode. A recent developer summit may have just provided us with the first details on Sony's follow-up to PSVR, codenamed 'NGVR'. From the displays to the controllers, we broke down all the reasons why VR's future might be bright after all. Oh, and there are plenty of trash opinions delivered along the way. Enjoy!

The gaming week has once again been dominated by more fallout from the Activision Blizzard debacle, which includes a large walkout, more heinous stories coming out and now J Allen Brack leaving the company. The one positive about this, Ubisoft employees also stood in solidarity and made their own demands as well. Although we don't talk much about this on the show this week, I did want to note what's been happening and that we still stand with all of those employees going through so much right now. However, if you want to look at just the gaming side of things and ignore reality, Annapurna Interactive had a tremendous showcase highlighting what having a host of interesting games, funny personalities, and some surprises do to one's enjoyment. Seriously! Outerwilds is getting an expansion y'all! This was also a week for Business stuff and there will be some discussions about that. Sadly, there are also some delays and store removals too. Horizon: Forbidden West seemingly is the next big game pushed into 2022, while Kena: Bridge of Spirits also gets a one-month delay as well. Forza Motorsport 7 is being removed from the Microsoft Store entirely starting in September too. Finally, things look positive for the Playdate, Team ASOBI is making a new game, and there's also a discussion on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 and the systems as a whole. Plus, the whole overblown thing about the PS5 SSD versus the Xbox Memory Card. Don't forget, there are some games to discuss as Sean keeps pushing through Death's Door and Cris Tales, while Marc tries out The Forgotten City and has continued the journey through Ys IX: Monstrum Nox too. Call of Duty has returned to the name Modern Warfare with a 2019 take on modern combat. With it comes a new story campaign, new game modes and co-op making for a vast departure from last year's Black Ops 4. This one is more grounded, has a solid story and feels like a return to the feeling that captured us from Modern Warfare 1 and 2. In the news this week, J. Allen Brack apologizes for Blizzard's actions last month, EA announces they're bringing their games to Steam starting with Star Wars and Playstation Vue is shutting down next January. Our discussion this week revolves around Blizzcon itself. We discuss the overall feeling of the conference and their overall better showcase this year than last year's disaster with Diablo Immortal. They unveiled Diablo 4, Overwatch 2, a new WOW expansion called Shadowlands and Hearthstone Battlegrounds.
