What a season we're having. Jason Tindall departed the club in the week after a poor run of results for the Cherries. Whilst we had games that some Cherries fans could attend, the majority of us will be returning to a vastly different club - no Eddie, no Jason. It's sad we haven't had the chance to say goodbye to some incredible servants. Despite the risk not working, Jason is still one of them - thank you JT. So it was Jonathan Woodgate that stood in for our home clash against the Blues on the following Saturday. To his credit, he obviously needed to come in and pick up players who have been mentally at a low and players who haven't had the confidence to express themselves on the football pitch for some time. Whilst the showing was far from perfect, it was one was saw us score goals. In this podcast Sam Davis, Jeff Hayward, Neil Dawson and Tom Jordan take you through the weekend game, before going on to analyse the runners and riders for the managerial vacancy at Dean Court - with a Tier List! On Saturday, Cherries beat Reading 4 - 2 at Dean Court, and it was the archetypal game of two halves. Jason Tindall's half time dressing down did the trick, and the "bollocking" he gave the players (in the words of David Brooks) had the desired effect - better quality, more desire, and they were more clinical too. In this podcast, Sam Davis and Jeff Hayward dissect the game, and when you face certain teams, the headlines are easy to write. Reading provide such joy with their Royals and Biscuitmen associations, so you won't be surprised to find out that the reign at the top of the league ended at the Vitality on Saturday and indeed it was the Cherries players who are now hob-nobbing with their promotion rivals Norwich City, sitting pretty in second place, leaving their opponents on Saturday ruing their chances after crumbling to a 4-2 defeat. Nice. In this podcast we also get the Player Ratings with Tom Jordan and Owen Tovey - a young Cherries fan with some great opinions on the game! Plus... a look forward to our chat with Jason Tindall, and opportunity afforded to us via the Cherries Trust, so we speak to our main man Tom, and ask him what it was like. This interview is being screened on Youtube on Sunday at 8pm! Thank you to everyone who has contributed to all our platforms. On the 8th August, Bournemouth's assistant manager Jason Tindall was appointed as full time successor to Eddie Howe, and so began life in the hotseat as the man charged with the responsibility of returning the cherries to the top flight at the first attempt. He talks candidly with Clem about the progress so far, and how he's adapting to being the man in sole charge of a club with great expectations. At the other end of the championship, Derby County sit rooted to the foot of the table without a win in their last 5 attempts, which resulted unsurprisingly in the club parting company with under pressure boss Phillip Cocu last weekend. Club captain Curtis Davies talks honestly and openly about the mood inside the dressing room in what has been a very difficult week for all involved.
