"Het was niet zo romantisch. Het moment zal ik je besparen, maar het mislukte allemaal", vertelt de rapper in de podcast Nandoleaks : Real Talk van FunX-dj Fernando Halman.  Jebroer, die vorig jaar de nodige ophef veroorzaakte met zijn nummer Kind van de duivel, wil volgend jaar ook minder shows doen, zodat hij meer tijd kan doorbrengen met zijn drie kinderen. "Drie is wel echt next level, ik heb geen seconde rust. Het is zwaar, maar ik ben ervoor gemaakt. Alles waar ik vroeger over heb gedroomd, is gelukt." Het weerklinkt op de Vlaamse speelplaatsen, tieners brullen het naar mekaar en kleuters zingen het in de badkamer: “Ik ben een kind van de duivel. Mama, jij hoeft niet te huilen. Feesten alsof elke dag hier mijn laatste is. Hoop dat je deze draait op mijn begrafenis. Ik hoef geen speech. Ik hoef geen bloemen. Gooi drank en drugs over mijn kist”. Na enkele Nederlandse dominees, maken nu ook in ons land sommige mensen zich druk over dit muzieknummer van de Nederlandse rapper Jebroer. Nu er eens een Nederlandstalig nummer een hit is bij de jeugd, blijkt de duivel de hoofdrol te spelen. Je zou zowaar heimwee krijgen naar de tijd van Miek en Roel of Miel Cools. Waarom kan onze jeugd niet gewoon genieten van ‘Houden van’? Nu moet u op Spotify of YouTube eens zoeken op het woord Devil. Meer dan 24 miljoen filmpjes pakken op YouTube uit met die duivel. Liedjes met de heer der duisternis in de tekst, zijn dan ook van alle tijden. De jeugd zal niet ineens naar de verdoemenis gaan, omdat ze nu verstaan wat ze zingen. In een tijd dat men er als de kippen bij is om de nieuwe preutsheid te veroordelen als er in een Brusselse migrantenwijk lingeriereclames overplakt worden, gaan er nu stemmen op om dit liedje te bannen van onze jeugdzenders en speelplaatsen. Het is maar de vraag of censuur opvoedkundig zo goed werkt, maar nieuw is het niet. Op de BBC worden blijna dagelijks songs ‘gebliept’ of verbannen omwille van hun woordgebruik, liet mijn goede vriend radiopresentator Luc Janssen mij weten. Luc weet waarover hij spreekt, want kreeg ooit de zak omdat hij op de nachtradio van de VRT de ‘scheet van de week’ bracht, nochtans gebaseerd op een scetch van humorist Wim de Bie. In de jaren ’70 heeft zelfs onze brave Jan Van Rompaey nog opgeroepen om Ian Dury’s ‘Seks & Drugs and Rock’n roll’ te bannen, want het zou de jeugd op ideeën kunnen brengen. Met die jeugd is het overigens goed afgelopen: intussen hebben die nu zelf kinderen en kleinkinderen en maken ze zich zorgen over ‘Kind van de duivel’. Als je er goed over nadenkt is dat muzieknummertje eigenlijk een godsgeschenk. Het geeft ouders de kans om eens te praten over drugs en drank, op een ogenblik dat de kinderen jong en ontvankelijk zijn en hun ouders nog hun grote helden. Als ze ouder zijn, is het een heel ander verhaal. ‘Dank u hartelijk rapper Jebroer’, zeggen we dan, ‘en zou je gelijk ook een liedje willen maken over condooms, vieze mannen die hun geheimpjes willen delen en dode hoeken bij vrachtwagens?’ Een deuntje als steuntje bij een van de moeilijkste dingen die er zijn, namelijk opvoeden. http://www.hbvl.be/cnt/dmf20170620_02932832/duivelsgebroed
