Taurus, the Tarot Tower card, Thor, Tours, and the Tyrrhenian Sea all share one ancient root. In Inner Whirled Episode 3, Chance Garton and Dylan Saccoccio trace the bull-Lord-Tower symbol back to a hidden Etruscan and Phoenician empire that left its fingerprints across Western language, mythology, and the tarot. This episode covers Etruscan and Celtic origins, the goddess Tanit and the tarot's High Priestess card, hornism and the protective meaning of bull horns, Apollo Granus and Kronos, Phoenician and Punic philology, Cornish and Welsh etymology, and astrotheology connecting the Pleiades, the dove, and the constellation Taurus.Remote Biofield Tuning sessions with Chance are available via Zoom. This episode is brought to you by Your Clockwise Week—a personalized weekly structure built around your actual life, not an ideal one. If your week feels full but not fitting, you can learn more at mikevardy.com/yourclockwiseweek.We've built entire systems around moving faster — faster responses, faster workflows, faster outputs. But speed isn't something you pursue. It's something that shows up when you've built something worth moving through quickly. That distinction came up early in this conversation and stayed with me long after we stopped recording. If you've ever felt like you were moving fast but not actually going anywhere, this episode is for you.Dawna Ballard is a professor of organizational communication at the University of Texas at Austin, where she specializes in chronemics — the study of time as it relates to human communication. Her book, Time by Design: How Communicating Slow Allows Us to Go Fast, draws on decades of field research across medical settings, child advocacy networks, and organizations of all kinds to make a case that's both counterintuitive and deeply practical: slowing down your communication is often the fastest thing you can do.Six Discussion PointsThe distinction between time — the clocks, calendars, meetings, and appointments we design — and temporality — the natural rhythm of relationships, sleep, learning, and meaningful conversation — isn't just semantic. It's the lens through which everything else about productivity either clarifies or collapses. The Children's Advocacy Centers case study is one of the most compelling real-world arguments for slow design: agencies handling urgent child abuse cases discovered that pausing for regular 90-minute monthly meetings didn't cost them time — it gave them speed, trust, and accuracy across the entire system. The obsession with efficiency didn't emerge from wisdom. It came from factory capitalism, Frederick Taylor's time-and-motion studies, and the industrialist impulse to extract skill from workers and standardize it. For knowledge work, creative work, or relational work, it's simply the wrong operating system.Speed activates the nervous system the same way physical threats once did. When we treat every delay as a danger — a long line, a slow inbox, a stalled meeting — we stay in low-grade fight-or-flight. And that's not a state in which anyone does their best work. The return-to-office push isn't really a productivity argument. At its core, it's a trust issue dressed in the language of culture — and forcing people into physical spaces doesn't resolve the underlying misalignment between what organizations measure and what actually produces quality work.AI is most useful when it handles the quantity tasks — summarizing, simplifying, organizing — so that humans can stay focused on the quality work that requires genuine thought, relationship, and judgment. The key is knowing which is which.Three Connection PointsTime by Design — Published by MIT Press, available wherever books are sold, including Kindle/Amazon. This is the kind of book you sit with, not sprint through.Time Thieves documentary — Explores the Greek concepts of Kronos and Kairos through case studies from Japan, Germany, Italy, and the UK. A rare look at how different cultures experience the collision of time and temporality. Are You Polychronic or Monochronic? — CBC Radio / The Current — This is the piece that put Dawna on my radar. It introduces her research on "time personalities" — the idea that chronic lateness or rigid punctuality often isn't a character flaw but a reflection of how someone is wired to experience time. A good entry point before diving into the book.Dawna references a phrase the Navy SEALs use: slow is smooth, and smooth is fast. She reaches for it deliberately. It isn't a rejection of speed — it's a reframe of how you earn it. If you've been treating speed as the destination rather than the evidence that something deeper is working, this conversation is worth more than one listen. And if you want to keep thinking about what it means to stop doing productive and start being productive, that's exactly what we'll keep exploring here.Until next time, remember: stop doing productive, start being productive. See you later. If this episode resonated, I'm exploring ideas like these more deeply in my upcoming book, Productiveness. You can follow along as it takes shape at mikevardy.com/productiveness.
Bora Bey'in kitabın kaynakçasına gösterdiği özen de özellikle bizdeki tüm yazarlara örnek olacak nitelikte, bunu da belirtmeden geçmek istemedim.(02:21) Bora Erkmen'in özgeçmişi ve zaman yönetimine ilgisi (14:21) Uğur İyidoğan (15:00) Bengü İlhan, (16:42) Doğru işi ve işi doğru yapmak (22:27) Bora Erkmen'in kişisel zaman yönetimi (31:50) Odaklanma becerisi (39:02) Bora Erkmen'in değer yaratma formülüSupport the show
Click For RUMBLE Video Let's get a full handle on the situation we face should we not liberate ourselves: There's a deeper layer to what's going on and it provides insight into hidden events of the past. The cycle of Inversion, the ever tumbling hourglass of Kronos/Saturn is close to the 180° mark, the RESET position. Today you will hear from people on Instagram videos saying complete monologues nearly verbatim of what I've been warning about and concluding from all the seemingly unrelated elements. Their goal is to kill our electrical grid while maintaining or building their own. We are to be put back into primitive living. We aren't to drive or travel or even be free to roam. Outdoors and farmland will soon be off-limits to us. With the increase in pollution from the preparation of data centers, the chemical toxins sprayed everywhere and on our food, the illness and deaths will be blamed on Hanta or some other convenient "virus" will arise. All homes will be condemned without water and electricity. As best as I can surmise there multiple resets and a complete shift in the energy and rhythm of this realm each time. Resets are synonymous with Mass Murder. Some children too young to remember the world as it was are kept alive and assuredly abused and traumatized, while all of the adults are dispatched of in various ways. Entire civilizations appear to have been blown up or melted down by a force of nature or technology that should NOT have existed in that era. Is the Baalroom/Ballroom a metaphor or code for a bunker entrance to an underground labyrinth? The people will be disposed of in ways unimaginable then the clearing of the structures will commence. America First is the dark mantra, indicating what country will fall to data center takeover and extermination First. The aliens narrative may simply be a cover for these parasitic minions as their true form reveals itself, or it will be something conjured into our realm by the tech like dybbuk, Djinn, or demons. Perhaps they simply come up from underground, and under sea water. There will be plenty of distractions, more outrageous actions, bills, EOs, and declarative statements made by the so-called government. If this was a Sci-Fi horror novel it would be a tough sell. The fact that we can point to this happening in "reality" says something about how short they intend our future to be. We're not supposed to be around to witness most of the changes they're discussing.***Due to the recent events involving the loss of the FTJMedia platform, and how it happened, adaptations to routine need to occur.Rumble Rants, we've discovered increased their take to 50% which makes them more than even YouTube. If you would like to support this Independent broadcast and ensure I can continue to do livestreams, please use these methods below:https://GivesendGo.com/BaalBustershttps://buymeacoffee.com/BaalBustershttps://paypal.me/BaalBustersTo join the cheap tiers on Patreon, use this link:https://www.patreon.com/c/KristosCastBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/ba-al-busters-broadcast--5100262/support.
I had an uplifting conversation with Jen Morgan, the CEO of UKG, a $5 billion global AI platform for HR, pay, and workforce management. In addition to talking about the company and her role as CEO, she actually has another mission: to put Frontline Workers first in our economy. Frontline workers, the people who deliver groceries and food, care for patients in the hospital, work in hospitality, or maintain public safety, make up 72% of the US workforce and almost 80% of employees worldwide. These often hourly or shift workers form the backbone of our economy: making our lives better, putting out fires, and keeping our streets safe. UKG's mission is to make their work lives better through better scheduling, pay, benefits, hiring, and training systems – all in an integrated offering called “The Workforce Operating Platform.” Built through the merger of Kronos with Ultimate Software in 2020, UKG has pioneered this groundbreaking integrated solution. UKG has more than 80,000 customers and serves more than 65 million workers every day. And its software and tools support and monitor much of their daily lives at work, so Jen knows a lot about what it takes to run what we call a “Frontline First” company. I know you'll enjoy this conversation, and stay tuned for our new research on the Dynamics Of The Frontline, coming this month. ASSUR WAS a name that referred to Assyria, the capital city of Assyria, and the chief deity of Assyria. Knowing which was which means relying on the context in which it's used. In Derek's book The Second Coming of Saturn, he shared research, showing that the word used by the prophet Isaiah for idols, ellilim, derives from the Akkadian name for Assur, Elllil (also known as Enlil, El, Dagon, Molech, Kronos, and Saturn, among others). These idols, then, were spirit beings—underworld spirits equivalent to the Rephaim, or malakim, as they were known at the ancient Amorite kingdoms of Ebla and Mari. In short, we believe chapter 10 of Isaiah is a polemic against the entity called Assur, whom we believe is Shemihazah, the leader of the rebellious sons of God in chapter 6 of the book of Genesis. We will see him again in Isaiah 14 as "Lucifer." Sharon's niece, Sarah Sachleben, has been diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer, and the medical bills are piling up. In an Instagram Reel, John Selig described this image — Mount Etna as a cosmological diagram: Typhon pinned underneath, his rage powering the volcano; Hephaestus at the forge above, that same rage transmuted into craft; Prometheus chained on the side, the fire bringer who suffered for giving us what the gods had kept for themselves; and Zeus at the crown, not a creator of fire but the one who directs it.It set my imagination ablaze!John's handle is @stolenfires_. That name tells you everything about his approach: myth is Promethean fire, meaning held by the gods and waiting to be taken — not as belief, not as doctrine, but as a lens you can actually use. What he wants is for you to leave the conversation with something in your hands. We spent this episode inside Greek myth as a living, working system. We examined the Theogony as three successive orders of creation — and why Zeus's is the first one generative enough to let everything be born, even the monsters. We read the Odyssey as the story of a man who cannot go home yet because his unconscious won't let him — the sailors as impulses that thwart the ego until it's ready. We talked about what happens to a culture that runs entirely on Athena consciousness while Poseidon goes ignored. And we talked about creativity, perfectionism, and what myth can do for people who are stuck. What We CoverWe use Prometheus — the fire-bringer who stole meaning from the gods and handed it to ordinary people — as the lens for this conversation. Along the way we explore:Stolen Fires and What the Name Actually Means. The name is two things at once: a cosmological statement about myth as Promethean fire, and — as someone pointed out to John recently — an accidental description of a mythology hot-take platform. He didn't plan that second meaning. The Trickster did. The core idea: myth holds meaning the way the gods held fire. John's work is the theft.Myth Doesn't Require You to Believe Anything. Myth and history are not the same category. Mythologizing history breaks it. Historicizing mythology breaks it too. One lives in the world of the imaginal; the other is the world of record. You can work with myth — let it illuminate your life, your psyche, your moment — without making a single metaphysical commitment.Typhon, Hephaestus, and the Shape of Shadow Work. Zeus didn't destroy Typhon. He pinned him under Mount Etna, where his rage powers the volcano — and Hephaestus's forge sits at the top, transmuting that same rage into craft. Integration instead of obliteration. The energy doesn't disappear. It gets redirected. That's the shape of shadow work, and it's also the shape of the creative process.Satan and the Cultural Shadow. Monotheism needed a bucket for everything that didn't make the approved list, and Satan is what it built. A lot of what ended up in there isn't all that bad — it's just human. The qualities most associated with the mythic Satan map cleanly onto basic features of human nature, and the Greco-Roman roots of the image run deeper than most people realize.Three Orders of Creation. The Theogony gives us three successive cosmological regimes, each more generative than the last. Uranus won't let anything be born. Kronos swallows his children rather than risk displacement. Zeus frees everyone and starts an order in which everything gets to exist — including the monsters. The Greek pantheon is so crowded because Zeus's order requires it to be.The Sailors as Unconscious Impulses. The sailors in the Odyssey aren't named or characterized because they're not really separate people — they're the unconscious impulses that keep thwarting what the ego says it wants. Odysseus doesn't reach Ithaca until they're all dead. The friction isn't always the enemy. The sailors may be telling him something he isn't ready to hear yet.Athena Consciousness, Poseidon Consciousness, and What We've Left Out. Ian McGilchrist's hemisphere theory maps onto the Greek gods: Athena as the rational, ordering, left-brain mode; Poseidon as the holistic, oceanic, right-brain mode. We've built a civilization that runs almost entirely on Athena consciousness while Poseidon goes unaddressed — and John thinks the epidemic of depression among his generation follows directly from that.Spirituality and the Brain. The part of the brain that activates depression is the same part that activates spirituality. When the spiritual mode is engaged, it becomes physiologically impossible to be depressed. This isn't a spiritual claim. It's neuroscience. And you don't have to believe in anything to get there. The Tyranny of Heaven. Uranus and Gaia: heaven and earth, the ideal and the actual. Heaven wants the thing to be perfect. Earth wants the thing to exist. Any version of something is necessarily not every version of something — which is obvious, and is still the exact mistake most creatives make constantly, holding the work hostage to what it could be until it never becomes what it is.Chapters00:00 Welcome00:03:49 The Name Stolen Fires00:04:56 Myth Without Belief00:05:42 Typhon, Prometheus, and the Volcano00:06:53 Satan and the Cultural Shadow00:08:30 How the Volcano Became a Map00:10:17 Zeus as Air, Not Fire00:11:30 Three Orders of Creation00:18:29 Into the Odyssey00:19:31 The Sailors as Unconscious Impulses00:21:57 Odysseus Isn't Ready for Ithaca00:26:42 Myth Is Fractal00:34:20 The Modern Mind and Its Limits00:35:10 Meaning, Depression, and the Missing Lens00:41:45 Spirituality and the Brain00:48:05 The Myth and Creativity Course00:49:05 The Tyranny of Heaven00:50:10 Where to Find JohnMemorable Quotes“The trick with myths is to not take them literally and to turn them into lenses that you can then look at your own life through.” — John Selig“Typhon is put underneath Mount Etna, and his fiery rage powers that volcano and then Hephaestus's forge is at the top, turning that rage, alchemizing it into something beautiful.” — John Selig“That's how it feels to do shadow work, to channel your grief into something creative, to face a part of you that you don't wanna face. Tune in as Laura and Meggie navigate their way through book 4 of Percy Jackson & the Olympians!!!
Prophecy Radio episode #154 includes our discussion of Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2, episode 8, “The Fleece Works Its Magic Too Well.” We're skipping the news again this week, but we also discuss the last episode of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians Official Podcast, which features Aryan Simhadri and Walker Scobell being besties. New episodes of Prophecy Radio air every other week. All discussions are PG-13.No News this week! We'll get caught up soon!Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2, episode 8 discussion (00:09:40) It's finally time to discuss the finale!! We kick off this episode with a flashback to that night on Half-Blood Hill before jumping back to Percy listening to Annabeth and Grover excitedly discussing Thalia's return. Blackjack appears in the road and Percy knows him. Sally wants to help, but this is quite literally Percy's battle, so she has to let him go do demigod things. Tantalus is being insufferable back in the hippodrome, but everyone is put out of their misery pretty quickly. Luke's forces have already been attacking Camp, and he arrives with even more. He's changed his tune since last time, saying anyone left inside Camp will be burned to the ground, but he does say Thalia's tree must be protected. Percy and Annabeth have an uncomfortable discussion about Thalia's loyalty. Percy and Co. come across some armed Campers, and they have to surrender to them. Mr. D doesn't want to believe anything is wrong, but Percy gives an impassioned speech about how Kronos is back. Clarisse listens as Chris tells her there are traitors in their midst, then reveals himself as one of those traitors! This is a little different than what happened in the book, but it makes sense to give Chris a larger role in the show. Turns out, Clarisse DOES have friends!! Percy and Luke square off, and it becomes obvious they have different objectives. It's bloody and violent, but this is only the beginning—just wait until season 5! Tyson comes to the rescue, and he wins an award for Best Brother of the Century! Allison shoots Annabeth with an arrow, but Percy must focus on the task at hand: Saving Thalia's tree. He hands the fleece off to Clarisse in another show of trust and maturity, and we're totally here for it. Thalia's shocking returns knocks Percy out. Percy is seaside with Poseidon, who tells him what they're all up against. Poseidon invited Tyson to be by his side, but Percy's destiny lies elsewhere. This scene is so emotional, between Tyson thanking Poseidon for bringing him to Percy and Sally, to Poseidon saying love is even stronger than Fate. Chiron is back and Percy still drools in his sleep, so all is right with the world. Clarisse is in charge of preparing Camp's troops. It gets a little awkward, but one “Shut up, Jackson” makes everything feel normal again. Chiron tells the truth of what happened that night on Half-Blood Hill. What did we think of Courtney B. Vance's interpretation of Zeus? Thalia returns, and Percy is feeling pretty conflicted about it. We also discuss the TWO bonus scenes at the end of the episode. Kristen has some follow-up questions. Percy Jackson and the Olympians Official Podcast highlights (01:21:05) We get to see Aryan's audition tape for Percy Jackson, the character! Aryan interviews his best friend, Walker, who talks about how the fight sequence at the end of the finale sets up season 3. They discuss Percy's big speech, and how Percy will continue to grow and evolve over the coming seasons. These books really did inform Walker's personality. Toby Stephens takes a break from playing Captain Hook to chat with them—but he never takes a break from smelling amazing! Once again, everyone has such nice things to say about Daniel Diemer. Walker and Toby also have some super nice things to say about each other. It's not easy playing a god, but Toby is pretty great at it. Also, he's acting royalty, so he's kind of the perfect person for this role. They talk about Lance Reddick and Courtney B. Vance. Aryan and Walker discuss Thalia's role in season 2. Then it's time to discuss season 3! Olive and Levi (Bianca and Nico) just got drenched for the first time on set, which seems to be a right of passage for this cast. Walker hates school and wishes he didn't have to go anymore. The guy playing Thorn (David Costabile) is apparently fantastic. Aryan got to play his panpipes and the two of them also watched the first movie and then the first season together. Walker also discusses his favorite scene from this season. Thanks for listening, and tune in next time for episode #155, where we'll discuss all the latest Percy Jackson and the Olympians news. This episode's hosts are: Karen and KristenEach episode, Prophecy Radio‘s hosts will discuss any official news coming out of Camp Half-Blood before doing a chapter by chapter reread of Percy Jackson or one of Rick Riordan's other series.Follow Us: Instagram // Facebook // TumblrListen and Subscribe: Audioboom // Apple // SpotifyFeel free to leave us your questions or comments through any of these mediums! The dream of this moment isn't just asking to be imagined. It's asking to be embodied. We are living through extraordinary times. The tides are shifting. Old structures are loosening their grip. And many women are feeling a quiet but powerful call to reconnect with the wisdom of their bodies. In this episode, we explore the magic of the Pisces New Moon and the powerful cosmic moment unfolding as we move toward the Aries Equinox and the meeting of Neptune and Saturn — the dreamer and the builder.Pisces invites us into the oceanic realm of imagination, intuition, and possibility. But imagination alone is not enough. As astrologer Caroline W. Casey beautifully says:“Imagination lays the tracks for the reality train.”The question becomes…How do we bring those dreams into reality? In this episode we explore how the body becomes the bridge between vision and manifestation. We dive into the ancient concept of Kronos and Kairos, the difference between linear time and sacred timing, and why many of life's deepest breakthroughs happen not through thinking harder — but through shifting into a new state of being.Because when we let the body lead…love leads the way. This episode also includes a gentle Ocean Breath embodiment ritual to help you soften into the wisdom of your body and listen for the dreams that may be ready to move through you.As we cross this Pisces portal and move toward the Equinox, you are invited to reflect on a powerful question:What dream is asking to live through your body now?In this episode we explore:• The spiritual wisdom of the Pisces New Moon • Imagination as the first step of creation • The meeting of Neptune and Saturn: dream meets devotion • Kronos vs Kairos — linear time vs sacred timing • Why the body opens new pathways of insight • The collective awakening of feminine embodiment • A guided Ocean Breath ritualIf this episode resonates with you, I invite you to explore more embodiment practices inside Vital Goddess Mastery, where we gather to breathe, move, and reclaim the sacred intelligence of the body.Because when women come home to their bodies… everything changes.
We're back with another infamous Hekate episode and we're taking a look at Hekate as the Nursemaid and evidence that leads to the point that she overthrows Kronos?!We're covering why it matters when looking at mythology to stake a claim about a god or goddess - do we have a site that back this? Do we have art/sculpture or other writers writing about the same thing? We can't just make a claim because we want to - we need to have it backed and for todays episode... we sure do!Chapters:Topic intro: 0:00Hekate The Nursemaid: 3:53Evidence that Hekate helped trick Kronos: 22:00Why looking at sites and evidence matters when staking a claim about Hekate: 31:10
There is so much cultural conversation about pleasure. How to create more of it.How to perform it.How to optimize it.But very little about how to listen for it.In this episode, we explore a quieter, more powerful truth:Pleasure is not something you manufacture. It is something you allow. And something you gently cultivate through presence.Dianne guides you into a new understanding of pleasure as sacred biology — not indulgence, not performance — but information. We explore:The difference between a mental “yes” and a somatic “yes”Why safety — not intensity — is the true doorway to alivenessThe role of dopamine, oxytocin, opioid receptors, and the endocannabinoid system in sensual regulationHow pleasure becomes literacy inside the bodyWhy midlife is not decline… but initiationThis is an invitation to slow down.To track subtle expansion. To honor neutrality. To notice contraction without shame.Because pleasure is the body's yes.And when a woman learns to trust that yes, everything reorganizes. Her boundaries strengthen. Her clarity sharpens. Her radiance steadies.Embodiment is reclamation. And embodiment is revolution.
Prophecy Radio episode #153 includes a lively discussion of Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2, episode 7, "I Go Down with the Ship." No news this time, but we will definitely catch up on that soon. Plus, hear a recap of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians Official Podcast, which features guests Virginia Kull, Jon Steinberg, Preiti Simhadri, and musical maestro Bear McCreary. New episodes of Prophecy Radio air every other week. All discussions are PG-13.No News this week! We'll get caught up soon!Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2, episode 7 discussion (00:00:00) Let's start with a flashback (and emo Luke's beanie). Annabeth is having Golden Fleece fever dreams. The dock supervisor in the Long Island Sound is not happy about the unscheduled cruise ship docking We meet our first child of Aphrodite (and he totally steals the scene) Clarisse & Percy both have their missions and they head off with single-minded focus Mythomagic lives! Will we ever hear Blackjack? Or is it always going to be in Percy's head? Percy accomplishes his goal, but also takes new orders. Luke is having trouble believing Kronos is keeping secrets. Tyson and Grover have some issues with transportation. Sally Jackson to the rescue! Clarisse & Percy do a switcheroo and end up accomplishing each other's missions. Percy meets the Krono-phagus... And then he yoinks the Golden Fleece to shut him up. Percy and Luke have a moment (and it ends with a little stabbing between friends) Clarisse is flabbergasted that Percy is willing to let her go. "Thanks, Percy," is when everything started to change for Clarisse. Nothing like a road trip back to camp in a mysterious car Kronos gives Luke a splitting headache as punishment for questioning his authority. Next time on Percy Jackson and the Olympians... War prep Poseidon and Percy have a moment Time to rally the troops Percy Jackson and the Olympians Official Podcast highlights (00:00:00) Aryan, Walker, and Virginia call Toby for a quick check in. This episode is all about the moms! That bumper sticker belongs to a certain mortal educator It's endearing how this cast and crew is so protective of these kids. Sally feels Percy-vibes when Tyson shows up Virginia really loves Tyson as a character and how the show is portraying him. Jon Steinberg is right: Sally Jackson is the emotional center of the show. Clarisse gets the spotlight to show that young bullies learn their ways from somewhere. Plus, her growth makes the whole story more interesting. This cast affects not just the writers, but how Rick Riordan himself envisions these characters. Virginia gets thanked for helping a child to not feel broken. (And we all cry.) Aryan's mom talks about how supportive and cooperative all the parents are. Turning 18 doesn't magically make kids into adults. Bear McCreary is here to talk all things score and soundtrack. Each character's theme fits their arc: Percy's is big hero-ey, Grover's is light and funny, while Annabeth's brings the mystery. Thanks for listening, and tune in next time for episode #154, where we'll recap Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2, episode 8, as well as the finale of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians Official Podcast. This episode's hosts are: Karen and KristenEach episode, Prophecy Radio's hosts will discuss any official news coming out of Camp Half-Blood before doing a chapter by chapter reread of Percy Jackson or one of Rick Riordan's other series.Follow Us: Instagram // Facebook // TumblrListen and Subscribe: Audioboom // Apple // SpotifyFeel free to leave us your questions or comments through any of these mediums! February 26, 2026Kronos is chronological time.Kronos appears more than 50 times in the original New Testament.Kairos is a pregnant moment in time, an inflection-point of consequence.Does in surprise you that Kairos appears more than 85 times? Each of us vividly remembers those Kairos moments when we decided to turn the steering wheel of Life and begin traveling in a whole new direction.Jim Burns is a counselor. His voice is heard on more than 800 radio stations each day and he has 3 million books in print. But I didn't know any of that prior to him appearing as a guest speaker at our church last week.I tell you this only because Jim Burns said something that I really needed to hear.“I had to learn to say 'no' to good things, to say ‘yes' to the most important things.”That was a Kairos moment for me because it instantly crystallized something in my mind that had previously been only the foggy awareness that I was speaking with so many people each day that I no longer had time to take a deep breath and calm my thoughts. Then Jim said it again, but differently. “Sometimes we just have to say ‘no' to good things, even to say yes to the most important things. That's how we declutter. That's how we run light.”Two days later, I was surprised by a video on Youtube in which my friend Ryan Deiss mentions me by name. He had posted that video a couple of weeks before Jim Burns spoke at our church.Speaking of himself, Ryan says,“I literally had zero recollection whatsoever of what I did, or what any of my companies did those weeks, either. It's just like they were a complete blur. More than likely, I spent all my time responding to whatever emergency someone else decided was important for me on that particular day.”Wow. Ryan Deiss was speaking exactly what I had been feeling for more than a year. There are now 87 Wizard of Ads partners and many hundreds of clients, so I go to bed most nights exhausted by the long days, the countless conversations, and the constant feeling that I am somehow letting everyone down. But Ryan wasn't finished.“Scale creates chaos. So if you want to get bigger, you have to insist on focus and simplicity. It is a bit of a paradox, but the key to scale is actually to do less, not more. Because when you force yourself to do less, you shift the emphasis from quantity to impact. And at scale, output matters a lot more than activity.”We – not just me, but all of us – need to be on guard that we don't allow the “merely urgent” to displace the truly important.Have you ever noticed that the things that are truly important are rarely urgent, and things that are “exclamation-point URGENT” are rarely of lasting importance?Urgent things are momentary, but constant.Important things are forever, but they can always wait. And then one day, they can't wait any longer. And by then, it's often too late. For those of you who are curious, Indy Beagle has posted in the rabbit hole the Ryan Deiss Youtube video that I mentioned, as well as the Youtube video of Jim Burns speaking at our church. Those two messages, just 48 hours apart, created a Kairos moment for me.If you have been feeling what I was feeling and what Ryan was describing, maybe those videos will do the same for you.You can watch the videos or click past them if you don't have time.Believe me, I completely understand.Roy H. WilliamsAmerica's top CEOs pay Doug C. Brown to teach them how to rethink their approach to sales. Doug has consulted Procter & Gamble, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, and Embassy Suites. Doug C. Brown is not a lightweight. Doug tells roving reporter Rotbart, “most companies can quickly realize a 20-30% improvement in operating profits” when they follow his straightforward recommendations.Doug says that it is more important “to know the right prospects to approach” than to know how to close the sale. If you think you've heard it all, listen to Doug C. Brown. There is a chance that maybe you haven't heard it all. Doug C. Brown will light you up. The right time to listen is up to you. Part Two of our wanderings with Iron John/Hans. The episode begins with the moss bed made for the boy in the forest. Ryan shares soulful reflections on moss itself; known as a 'boundary layer' that draws moisture not from the ground up but from the air down. Moss forms little cups to gather water from the electricity in the air, which must be one of the most Aquarian/11th House symbols I've ever heard. We re-enter the story where we left off in part one; the boy is learning to listen in to his inner most knowing. In speaking for the scent of the wild flowers he shows us that his time asleep on the moss transformed his sense of reality. He is becoming ready to work with the gold/wound split in his consciousness. In the second half of the story we encounter much Chironic imagery. A three-legged 'hobblety jig' horse speaks to our current moment as Chiron moves through the last phase of Aries and Saturn/Neptune through the first. What does this story tell us about Aries energy, wounded kings, lost wildness and the world's deep thirst? It's a longer episode than most, but once you listen in you'll see why. To get the most nourishment from this story we needed to move more with Kairos time than Kronos. The result, however, is a very nourishing alchemical brew. So grateful to Ryan's wife, Holly Parson Nielsen, for the artwork for the episode. It conjures the movement of the story so well from the well to the moss to the gold. Thank you Holly. Let Your Body LeadIn a world that moves at relentless speed, many of us find ourselves living almost entirely in our heads—rushing, pushing, managing time, and overriding the quiet wisdom of the body.In this episode, I invite you to slow down and explore sensual, non-linear movement as a gentle yet powerful pathway back into presence, healing, and inner rhythm. We explore the difference between Kronos time—clock time, productivity, and pressure—and Kairos time, or soul time: the spacious, cyclical rhythm where the body naturally heals, digests, and integrates life.Through reflection, teaching, and a guided embodied practice, you'll be invited to release story and let sensation lead you home. This episode is especially supportive if you've been feeling:overwhelmed or overstimulateddisconnected from your bodyemotionally stuck or looping in your mindtense, numb, or out of synccurious about movement as medicine rather than exerciseIn this episode, we explore:Why the body heals in Kairos time, not Kronos timeHow digestion, repair, and emotional processing require safety and slownessWhat “sensation over story” really means—and why it mattersHow sensual, wave-like movement supports nervous system regulationWhy pleasure, breath, and rhythm are essential for modern womenA gentle 5-minute sensual movement practice to help you drop into soul timeThis is an invitation to let your body lead, to listen inwardly, and to reconnect with the wisdom that's already alive within you.Let's dive in!

The Deadly Spawn (1983) & Metamorphosis: The Alien Factor (1990) A cult fan favorite of the 1980s low-budget monster boom, The Deadly Spawn is best remembered for one of the era's most distinctive creature designs. Its semi-sequel, Metamorphosis: The Alien Factor, is a scrappy and underrated follow-up that's still a lot of fun, and long overdue for a proper Blu-ray upgrade. Behind both films is Ted A. Bohus, a true multi-man of independent genre cinema. Beyond producing and directing, Bohus has also been a vital chronicler of film history and technique through his magazines SPFX and Candid Monsters, publications that routinely reveal how much there still is to discover about movies we think we already know. In this episode, he sits down with us to talk about The Deadly Spawn, Metamorphosis, and the realities of working in the low-budget, independent filmmaking world, sharing more than a few hard-earned lessons for aspiring filmmakers along the way. We also dive into his work as a publisher, including the deep-research, damn-near-a-book issues of Candid Monsters, which take exhaustive looks at some of our favorite classic films. So sit back and enjoy a conversation packed with great stories, sharp insights, and a genuine love for the messy, fascinating world of making movies and magazines. Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2, episode 6 discussion (00:14:52) Let's kick off the episode 6 discussion with Tyson in the water. Daniel Diemer does such a good job of getting Tyson's thoughts and feelings across while underwater. RAINBOW TO THE RESCUE. Percy has a pretty awful dream about Camp. It looks like Kronos is dropping by, but when the hood is pulled back it's someone else. Why do you think they showed Thalia in this scene? How does Percy know what she looks like? Percy wants to get a head start on their plan, but Annabeth remains calm and tells him that's not a good idea. Back on the island, Polyphemus regales Clarisse and Grover with tales of his solitary life. Shoutout to Nobody. They made Polyphemus SO MUCH SCARIER than he was in the books. We keep hearing Pan's name. Percy keeps watch while Annabeth grabs some pelts. Luke interrupts with some rainbow wiggles. Annabeth admits Luke might be right about Thalia's feelings about Zeus, but he was also wrong to think she'd be on Kronos' side. This part wasn't in the book, but it's such a great addition. Percy has a dramatic entrance. Was he worried that Annabeth might be betraying him? Was the call about recon or about checking in on Annabeth? “Think wooly thoughts.” Those sheep sounds were pretty legit. Plot twist! Polyphemus set a trap for the demigods. We get a classic Clarisse and Percy moment. Annabeth uses that big brain of hers to distract Polyphemus. Luke uses a portal to travel to the island, and Karen has some questions about the science of the magic. Shoutout to the makeup department because Annabeth's wounds looked BRUTAL. All seems lost…until Tyson returns! Did Percy understand what they said in Ancient Greek? How did Tyson get one up on Polyphemus? Luke arrives at the worst or possibly even the best time. Percy really did try to come up with a different solution than just handing over the fleece. Were we surprised Luke healed Annabeth? How do we feel about the changes from the book here? Tyson saves the day AGAIN, and Percy is so glad he's alive. And like the wish-granting fairy that he is, Tyson has a solution to their problem of no transportation. Percy gets yet another epic line to end the episode. Next time: Young Annabeth, a recovering sarcophagus, Clarisse liking her odds, and BLACKJACK!! Percy Jackson and the Olympians Official Podcast highlights (01:25:15) Aryan and Aleks are in divorce arbitration, and Andrew makes his big debut on the podcast. But first we need to talk about what is was like to play Polyphemus. This is not the first time Aleks has been a cyclops in a Percy Jackson production. Did you realize they did mostly practical effects for Polyphemus? What character inspired the “simple” version of Polyphemus? Did you know what forced perspective was? Which did you like better, the proposal or the prom pictures? The second guest on the podcast was Albert Kim, one of the series' writers. They wanted to surprise even the most diehard fans of the books. We talk about Percy's fatal flaw, and his reaction to giving up the fleece. It's no surprise the sheep were afraid of Polyphemus. Aryan finally gets his ring! Andrew McIlroy returns to talk about his experience on the show so far. It was interesting hearing how they “found” Tyson and Teen!Luke. Kronos is totally a cult leader. We get some insight into how the kids prepare for each scene, including an example of the exercise with the ball that they do to get into character. Why doesn't Andrew go to any of the functions? Where did his commitment to the craft come from? Everyone has such respect for Glynn Turman. Prophecy Radio episode 151 cruises through Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2, episode 5, "We Check into C.C.'s Spa and Resort." They also discuss all the behind-the-scenes goodies from the Percy Jackson and the Olympians Official Podcast, as well as catch you up on some Christmas-related fun. New episodes of Prophecy Radio air every other week. All discussions are PG-13.No news this weekPercy Jackson and the Olympians season 2, episode 5 discussion (00:12:30) Right away we know Percy and Annabeth are alive. That's a relief. And how convenient they find themselves in the only sanctuary in the Sea of Monsters! Hylla sighting! Is this our first Heroes of Olympus easter egg? C.C. wants to help them identify their fatal flaws so they can survive the sirens. How noble. Stavros, our little jet skiing anachronism, does not fair too well. We may not have seen Stavros' demise, but hearing it was pretty gnarly. Clarisse wakes up on the beach. Lucky lady can see the golden fleece, though, so... quest still on! But then she gets caught in Polyphemus' trap. Quest paused. I really hope they find ways to weave the consensus song into every season. It makes Kristen smile. She tells Grover that Percy and Annabeth are dead, but thanks to that empathy link, Grover is sure she's wrong. All he had was hope, but now he has Clarisse and some rope! Back to C.C.'s: Percy and Annabeth look ADORABLE. They don't agree. C.C. wants to help them find their fatal flaws with her very own Mirror of Swalflataf (if you know, you know)/li> Annabeth takes the opportunity to try and learn something about C.C. We have a super swoon moment when Percy goes full book boyfriend. Even if we are trying to temper our little shipper hearts because they are not supposed to be at the crush stage yet. Percy believes he is a danger to the quest, so he decides to stay at C.C's. Back to the island: Clarisse is trying to shimmy up a rope to escape the cave, but the sensitive, sassy Cuban Oak can only take so much. Polyphemus returns, but this time Grover forgets to lower his veil... not good. Back on C.C.'s island: Percy has a very enlightening chat with Zadie. Percy confronts C.C. to transformative results. Is that a pen cup full of souvenirs, or did C.C. just think Percy's pen would be happy there? Percy doesn't let a little thing like being a guinea pig keep him from trying to formulate a plan. Describing Ares as merciful is a dead giveaway. Whatever you say, fakeGrover. This Polyphemus is waaaaaay scarier than the book. We appreciate the consistency with representing all cyclopses the same. Annabeth has a plan. But she also knows how to freestyle like the best of them. Multivitamins to the rescue! Percy and Annabeth set sail, but only one gets the wax. The other gets roped. Aaaand just kidding. C.C. takes back her wax. Annabeth's vision is detailed, but she has a plan. ATHENA SIGHTING! It's a double cross! It was the sirens the whole time! Percy saves the day. Next time: Tyson sighting, Kronos in season 1 form, and its time to battle Polyphemus. Percy Jackson and the Olympians Official Podcast highlights (01:34:34) A bit of a surprise: This week's guest is Glynn Turman, aka, Chiron! The Andrew counter lives. Glynn is Chiron: Both run camps, both help campers learn new skills, both have lost campers. Chiron's horse half is the same horse that plays Blackjack and has shown up in the background, too. There is a Grover horn arc already plotted for five seasons. This detail has us absolutely fangirling. They're going to curl by season 5! Next guests: Zoe Neary (Producer) and Jules O'Loughlin (Director of Photography) The sirens were played by stuntwomen using windsurfing rigs. **chef's kiss** Realism at work: They gave costume department samples of the rock to match, they used real seaweed from the marina, and there was a crab wrangler on set! One guinea pig is given the high ground. And different foods give them different eyelines. So much to learn about guinea pig acting. Rosemarie Dewitt killed it as C.C. Dior and Charlie shadowed producers to learn more about that part of the filmmaking process. Getting away from the Volume stage this year. Practical sets help them to lean into the weather and natural enviroments around them. The sound department is not a fan of fidget spinners. Oops. Listener Feedback (01:54:38)We have an email! Welcome to our new research on the Frontline Workforce. In this introductory podcast I explain the importance and complexities of these jobs, and why the people in these roles take on enormous responsibilities in our companies and our economy. More than 70% of US workers are employed in frontline roles, generating more than $6 Trillion in wages and value. While many business and HR leaders support the frontline, our research points out that the issues are far more complex than you may realize. In this podcast I detail some of these important management topics and I also describe how the HR Technology market has struggled to meet their needs. Then I discuss UKG, the (Ultimate Kronos Group), the $5 Billion software company dedicated to this space and give you some insights on their pioneering and unique solutions. No matter what you do as a leader, HR professional, or manager, you likely know how critical our frontline workforce has become. Today frontline jobs in healthcare, transportation, construction, energy, airlines, and entertainment are the fastest growing segment of the workforce and also the roles least impacted negatively by AI. In fact AI is going to make these jobs even better. I hope you enjoy the discussion: stay tuned for a detailed article describing some of the frontline-work innovations recently announced by UKG and more on our research roadmap. If you would like to share your innovative solutions for frontline work, please contact us. Two years after the success of the Warner Brothers Clash of the Titans reboot Sam Worthington returned to the role of Perseus for WRATH of the Titans. This time around Zeus and Hades have to content with the fact they no longer posess the power they once had in addition to Ares the God of War releasing Kronos from the underworld. And that's pretty bad because he's a big walking volcano. On Prophecy Radio episode #149, Karen and Kristen discuss Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2, episode 3, "We Board the Princess Andromeda." They still don't have much news to discuss, but there was more than enough to talk about between the episode and recapping all the most interesting behind-the-scenes facts from the Official Percy Jackson Podcast. New episodes of Prophecy Radio air every other week. All discussions are PG-13. Quick news segment Rick posted two photo dumps on Insta with some behind the scenes bits and memories from when they were shooting and prepping for Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2, episode 3. Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2, episode 3 discussion (00:07:28) Clarisse goes full warrior when confronted with the creepiness of the Oracle. We dig deep about why we think they chose Clarisse to read the prophecy to Clarisse. Clarisse doesn't share the whole prophecy with us... interesting. Let's check out this cruise ship... Why doesn't Tyson have similar powers to Percy (versions of Poseidon's abilities)? Percy chooses trust over anger and we are both impressed with his maturity. The return of "boon"! Clarisse and Ares get some screen time together for the first time. Clarisse's quest isn't really a quest since she's alone. Adam Copeland is really the very best Ares we could have hoped for. We hope we see this godly greeting thing between demigods again. Allison Simms falls overboard, but it's not goodbye. Mitch from Blockbuster might be the best new addition to this series. Was Annabeth invoking "boon" because of the Great Prophecy or was it just to keep Percy from killing Luke so soon? Kronos smells worse than monsters to Tyson. The children of the gods deserve freedom (demigods, monsters, et al) but what about humans? We learn so much from this convo with Luke, Annabeth, and Percy. Tyson saves the day by building a bomb?! Clarisse gets a Braveheart speech, and its the perfect motivation for her crew. Annabeth goes rogue and gives Percy the bare bones of the Great Prophecy. "What do you think?" We think there are SO many layers to that question. Scenes from next week: Annabeth looks in a sewer, Clarisse and Percy fight on the beach, Thalia makes an appearance (must be a flashback), we get our first look at the Sea of Monsters. Percy Jackson and the Olympians Official Podcast highlights (01:25:54) Dior Goodjohn is the major guest in this episode. Even the official podcast has a fatal flaw. Aryan got to train with the camera department during this episode. How cool that the kids get to learn both the art and technical side of filmmaking. Dior talks about Clarisse's backstory, and especially her mom. Bad parental relationship representation is as important as a good one. Motley crew of loser soldiers for the win. The creation of Blockbuster Mitch is a perfect Rick-Riordan-esque addition. That sea shanty came together on set after shifting it away from being too dirgy. Will every episode 3 start with the Oracle in the attic? Allison Simms will give us more and more understanding of Luke and what's going on in his head. Craig Silverstein explains how they go about deciding what to keep and what to cut from the books. Adam Copeland calls in from England and talks about Ares motivations as a father and how he relates to this storyline with Clarisse as a father in the real world. Adam is definitely an actor in our book. Listener Feedback (01:46:12) Thanks for listening, and tune in next time for episode 150 (!!), where we'll recap Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2, episode 4, as well as the next episode of the Official Percy Jackson Podcast. Greg & Tara are BACK to continue their Percy Jackson Season 2 Reaction, Recap, Analysis, Breakdown, & Spoiler Review!! As Season 2 continues adapting The Sea of Monsters, Episode 3 pushes Percy and his friends deeper into danger, expanding the scope of the quest while testing their loyalty, courage, and understanding of the prophecy hanging over them. In this episode, Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell – The Adam Project, Secret Headquarters) continues to struggle with the growing weight of leadership as the quest intensifies and the stakes rise beyond Camp Half-Blood. Annabeth Chase (Leah Sava Jeffries – Something from Tiffany's, Beast) remains the strategic backbone of the group, forced to make tough calls that blur the line between logic and faith, while Grover Underwood (Aryan Simhadri – Cheaper by the Dozen, Spin) faces new challenges tied to his role as both protector and seeker within the satyr community. While Disney has kept Episode 3 details tightly under wraps, early previews and Season 2 setup suggest the story leans further into Sea of Monsters mythology, with new mythical threats, dangerous environments, and the lingering tension surrounding Luke Castellan's betrayal and Kronos' growing influence. Fans can also expect more exploration of Percy's powers, sharper banter between the trio, and at least one major encounter that pushes the quest into a more perilous phase — echoing some of the most iconic beats from the book. The Power of Peer-to-Peer Advisory Groups: How Jerry Brazie Helps Entrepreneurs Avoid Costly MistakesIn this episode, host Josh Elledge interviews Jerry Brazie, founder of The Kronos Group, to explore why entrepreneurship doesn't have to be a lonely journey. Jerry shares how peer-to-peer advisory groups provide business owners with trusted insight, accountability, and real-world problem-solving that goes far beyond motivation or surface-level advice. Drawing from decades of experience building and advising companies, Jerry explains why consistent peer engagement can be the difference between costly mistakes and sustained growth. Why Peer-to-Peer Advisory Groups Create Stronger, Smarter LeadersJerry Brazie compares entrepreneurship to mastering a skill like pool—progress doesn't come from occasional participation, but from consistent, focused practice. In business, that consistency shows up through regularly meeting with peers who understand the pressure of leadership and growth. Advisory groups create an environment where business owners can openly discuss challenges, test ideas, and learn from others who have faced similar decisions, often preventing expensive missteps before they happen.A key distinction Jerry emphasizes is the difference between peer-to-peer advisory groups and traditional mastermind groups. While masterminds often focus on inspiration or high-level ideas, advisory groups are intentionally small and structured to deliver individualized feedback. Each member receives dedicated time to present real problems, receive candid input, and leave with clear next steps—turning discussion into execution rather than motivation without follow-through.Jerry also highlights the personal dimension of advisory groups, noting that leadership challenges rarely stop at the office door. Conversations often extend beyond operations and strategy into personal well-being, relationships, and balance. By addressing both business and life challenges, advisory groups help entrepreneurs make better decisions, stay grounded, and lead more sustainably over the long term.About Jerry BrazieJerry Brazie is the founder of The Kronos Group, a peer-to-peer advisory organization serving business owners with revenues between $1M and $25M. With decades of experience building, scaling, and advising companies, Jerry is passionate about helping entrepreneurs avoid costly mistakes through accountability, candid feedback, and structured peer support. ISAIAH WAS a wordsmith. And the Hebrew word he used translated “idols,” ʾĕlîlim, identifies the spiritual nature and origin of the idols he condemned. Dr. Christopher B. Hays, citing work of A. T. Clay published in 1907, identified the origin of ʾĕlîlim as the name of the Mesopotamian deity Ellil, which was the Akkadian form of the Babylonian/Sumerian god Enlil. As Derek documented in The Second Coming of Saturn, Ellil/Enlil was the equivalent of the Canaanite father-god El, and thus “the abomination of the Ammonites,” Milcom (i.e., Molech). He was also known as Assur, chief god of the Assyrians, Dagon of the Philistines, Kronos of the Greeks, Saturn of the Romans, and probably Osiris of the Egyptians, among others. We believe this entity is also Shemihazah, leader of the sons of God in Genesis 6, whose rebellion created the monstrous Nephilim, the spirits of which became demons upon their deaths in the Flood of Noah. Isaiah, then, was condemning not carved blocks of wood or stone, but the demonic spirits they represented—the “gods” of the pagans whom the kingdoms of Israel and Judah continued to worship. We'll see as we get deeper into the Book of Isaiah that the prophet understood the nature of the entities the Israelites were interacting with.
