När jag poddintervjuade Viktor Gyökeres i november 2021 talade han om att han hade hittat hem i Coventry efter en rad utlåningar, om hur managern Mark Robins hjälpt honom att utvecklas, om att klubben spelade långt i från brittisk fotboll, om varför han älskade det flitiga matchandet och om förhoppningen att någon gång få spela i Premier League. Gyökeres berättade då även om besvikelsen över att Sverige inte kvalat in till VM 2022, om att kunna ta plats i landslaget, om den tidiga succén som ung i BP och kontakterna med de gamla lagkamraterna, om att inte tveka kring budet från Premier League-laget Brighton, om de många utlåningarna, om skillnaden på spel i Tyskland och England samt om varför han nobbade propåer från allsvenska lag likt Malmö FF.
