Broadcasting from London (while Ireland slowly sinks into the sea), Darragh reports back from the British Museum's stunning Samurai exhibition — from 12th-century armour to pop culture dominance… culminating in the original 1977 Darth Vader costume. Back on the gaming front, Kev dives into The Séance of Blake Manor, a brilliantly designed Irish mystery set in 1890s Connemara that blends spiritualism, folklore, and detective work. Then things level up as both lads gush over Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, possibly the best Indiana Jones story in 20 years. Punching Nazis, Vatican conspiracies, and actually feeling like Indy? It exists. Somehow. And finall we descend into fog, with a brutal verdict on Return to Silent Hill, a shot-for-shot adaptation that completely misses the point of Silent Hill 2. A packed episode about history, adaptation, jank, redemption arcs, and why some remakes understand the assignment… and others absolutely do not.
This week, Kev and Darragh spiral from Olympic hockey into the existential dread of modern streaming. Is Discovery+ secretly amazing? Is Netflix deleting its own shows? And is streaming now just cable… with extra steps? From there, the lads dive into PlayStation's latest State of Play — including the long-awaited Metal Gear Solid 4 re-release, a new Castlevania, and what it means when gaming history finally escapes the PS3 vault. Kev then makes a passionate case for Oblivion Remake, arguing it still feels more “alive” than Skyrim — jank, uncanny NPCs and all. Is this the most satisfying RPG comeback in years? The Rewind Crew, Darragh & Christopher look back at a Classic Royal Rumble from 2007 and preview the 2026 edition!
A bruising 4-0 home defeat to Arsenal and we're not holding back. Darragh climbed off his sick bed to deliver a passionate verdict on Daniel Farke's team selection — why was Gruev starting ahead of Longstaff against the best set-piece team in the country? Why Justin at centre-back instead of Bornauw? And why is 70 minutes always the magic number for subs? We debate whether Farke is reverting to old habits that could cost Leeds dearly. The silver lining? West Ham's spectacular collapse against Chelsea — 2-0 up at half-time, missed two more golden chances, and somehow lost 3-2 with Todibo sent off. Twitter was a wonderful place afterwards. We look ahead to Friday night's huge clash with Nottingham Forest at Elland Road. Neco Williams is banned after his heroic/idiotic handball on the line, but Sean Dyche has them well organised and unbeaten in four. Can Farke get the selection right this time? Plus - do we need a goalkeeper more than a striker? Harry Gray scores two belters for Rotherham, Erling Haaland gives the Leeds salute to Galatasaray fans (Dara's written him a song), and the worst foul throws in Premier League history.
Tom White and Darragh MacAnthony dive into English dominance in the Champions League, with five Premier League clubs finishing in the top eight of the league phase. After a statement win away at Napoli on the final matchday, is Liam Rosenior already silencing his doubters?Attention then turns to Manchester City — do they still look like contenders for both the Champions League and Premier League? Darragh isn't convinced they've got what it takes this season, but he does agree with City fan Luke on one thing: Pep Guardiola is the greatest manager of all time. Finally, Liverpool supporter Connor joins the show to ask: what is Arne Slot getting right in Europe, but wrong domestically? Darragh argues that European sides are struggling to cope with the tactical shift and physicality of English teams this year.Watch us live, Monday to Friday, 10am until Midday on Sky Sports News or listen to the podcast as soon as we come off air. This week, Darragh, Cian and Kev are back with an episode that swings wildly across sci-fi, fantasy, anime, and franchise fatigue. We kick things off with Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, debating whether Trek's new lighter, younger tone is a bold evolution or a step too far into whimsy. Is this the future of Star Trek—or the point of no return? From there, Kev brings unexpected praise for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, the Game of Thrones spin-off that trades dragons and doom for hopeful knights, low stakes, and surprisingly effective toilet humour. Then things go fully nuclear as we dive into Jujutsu Kaisen, with Kev arguing it's delivered one of the greatest anime episodes of all time — a brutal, stylish, Kill Bill-inspired explosion of violence that sparks a wider conversation about why anime keeps running laps around Western franchises. We wrap up with a big-picture discussion on the future of major franchises — Marvel, Star Wars, Doctor Who, and whether audiences are finally rejecting safe, recycled storytelling.

Tom White and Darragh MacAnthony assess Arsenal's 3–2 win at Stamford Bridge. After a goal and an assist in the Carabao Cup semi-final, we ask whether Viktor Gyökeres has finally proven his worth. Arsenal fan Toby joins the discussion, arguing that Gyökeres' physicality is back after his return from injury. The focus then shifts to Sir Gareth Southgate, who recently called for football to “embrace a modernised version of the traditional manager.” We consider ‘the coach vs manager debate' and ask whether Southgate may be hinting at a return to football. Then we turn our attention to the transfer market. Darragh believes Conor Gallagher's move to Spurs is exactly what Thomas Frank's side need, while Aston Villa fan Sam joins us to analyse Donyell Malen's move from Aston Villa to Roma. And finally, we're joined by Chelsea fan Henry to discuss whether there are reasons to be optimistic under Liam Rosenior.Watch us live, Monday to Friday, 10am until Midday on Sky Sports News or listen to the podcast as soon as we come off air. Today I'm talking with Darragh Buckley, the CEO and co-founder of Increase. If you've been following fintech for a while, you probably know Darragh as employee number one at Stripe, where he built the team responsible for moving money at a massive scale. At Stripe, he learned a crucial lesson about infrastructure: when you're stuck solving business, technical, and risk problems all at once, you need to drop down a layer. That insight led to Increase, which does something quite novel, instead of connecting to banks one by one, they connect directly to the Federal Reserve itself, operating their own banking core that exposes all this functionality through APIs. With a team of less than 20 people, they're now processing over $100 billion annually. In this conversation, we dig into the lessons Darragh learned scaling Stripe, why he believes compliance and accounting should be built into engineering from day one rather than bolted on later, his vision for a future where community banks serve specific communities like dentists or families managing elderly parents' finances, and why he's personally investing in community banks across the Pacific Northwest. We also get into real-time payments infrastructure, including a great story about buying a car on a Saturday. Now let's get on with the show.In the podcast, you will learn:How Increase was born out of early challenges at Stripe. What he learned about scaling fintech companies at Stripe. The advantage of dropping down a layer when building fintech infrastructure. How Increase is able to connect directly to the Federal Reserve. The concept of a side core and how it integrates with banking cores. The different types of companies they work with.A fun story about paying a car dealer with a real time payment on a Saturday. The scale that Increase is at today. Why they decided that now is the time to spread with word about Increase. Why it matters to build compliance into your product very early. What lessons compliance can learn from software engineering. How they are managing real time risk. Why Darragh has personally invested in several community banks. What will have changed in financial services if Increase is successful.Connect with Fintech One-on-One: Tweet me @PeterRenton Connect with me on LinkedIn Find previous Fintech One-on-One episodes

Tom White and Peterborough chairman Darragh MacAnthony discuss Enzo Maresca's comments this week following a turbulent weekend. The Chelsea boss insists he is “happy” at the club and is “falling more in love with the players,” just days after saying he had experienced “the worst 48 hours” of his time at Chelsea. Darragh describes Maresca as a “serial trophy hunter” and “one of the better managers this season,” while Chelsea fan Charlie, who was at the game, joins us to share the mood among supporters after the 3–1 Carabao Cup win over League One side Cardiff.Next, we turn to an explosive interview with Bruno Fernandes, who admitted it “hurt” to realise the club “wanted me to leave” after Saudi side Al-Hilal proposed a £100m fee for the 31-year-old. Manchester United fan Joe praises Bruno's numbers since joining the club, even comparing the United captain to Kevin De Bruyne. Finally, we discuss Eddie Howe's response to Bruno Guimarães' comments from the weekend, after the midfielder branded Newcastle's performance against Sunderland “embarrassing” and “a mess.” Howe pushed back, saying, “We weren't a mess — I think Bruno's very emotional.” Craig Hope suggests the manager was sending a message to the dressing room that talk is cheap and performances must improve on the pitch. Mistakes will happen — but when families listen, learn, and respond together, young people feel safer, supported, and more confident asking for help. This final instalment brings the Be Cyber Safe NI Takeover to a thoughtful close, reinforcing a simple but vital message for parents and carers: online safety works best when it's built on conversation, trust, and learning together.

And Flowers Grew up Through the Concrete is Laurence McKeown's second prison memoir. Big Laurny, is a very fine writer. This latest book is an account of his journey through imprisonment, hunger strike, brutality and growing self-awareness. It is beautifully written and unashamedly honest in its emotion.Laurence is one of those gifted republican POWs who spent years – decades in some cases – in British prisons and who have written about their experience. Together they have generated a huge body of prison literature comparable to previous periods in the independence struggle.Among them are Eoghan MacCormaic and Jazz Jim McCann; Pat Magee; Gerry Kelly; Síle Darragh's inspirational account of the women in Armagh - ‘John Lennon Is Dead'; Danny Morrison, Roseleen Walsh; Tony Doherty, Chrissie McAuley, Jim McVeigh; Jake MacSachais, Richard McAuley and others. I apologise to any I have left out - always a danger when you produce a list of any kind.Perhaps the best known of all the prison writers is Bobby Sands whose poems, songs and accounts of life in the H-Blocks and on Hunger Strike still resonate over four decades after his death. Writing on scraps of paper to be smuggled out, Bobby's poetry, prose, political polemic, songs and other writings in Irish and English are now part of the tradition.Laurence's previous books include, with Brian Campbell and Felim O'Hagan, ‘Nor Meekly Serve My Time” which covers the blanket protest from 1976 to 1981; ‘Out of Time: Irish Republican Prisoners Long Kesh 1972-2000'; and with Brian Campbell the script for the film H3. A Real Peace Settlement NeededLast week the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky visited the Irish state. In the course of his meetings President Zelensky also addressed the Oireachtas in which he called for a peace without humiliation. His visit came at a time when there is widespread speculation that the US government is pressuring Ukraine to accept a peace deal that would force it to cede land to Russia. My starting point as a republican is clear. The people of Ukraine have a right to self-determination and the Russian invasion is a breach of international law. With Russia intensifying its drone attacks on Ukraine, especially its targeting of civilian infrastructure like energy, health care and water, there is an urgent need for an intensification of the peace efforts. From Host BarbaraI'm very happy to introduce Darragh Mason to you: he's an award-winning photographer, author and podcaster with a deep interest in folklore and otherworldly beings. I first found him by way of his podcast The Spirit Box, where he had some really interesting guests. The first episode I listened to was Episode 28: Jerry Marzinsky, Schizophrenia and Parasitic Entities, and I found it so fascinating that I started tuning in regularly. Last year, his first book was published: Song of the Dark Man: Father of Witches, Lord of the Crossroads, and of course, I snatched it right up. Being as I have an affinity with another being who is known for frequenting crossroads, Hecate, I expected to really like the book. What I wasn't prepared for was the poetic beauty of the prose and the experiences described by modern Witches that were congruent with my own. I hope you enjoy listening in on our little visit, and after you listen, you should check out Darragh's photo essays on his website, especially the one titled City of Djinn.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/paranormal-uk-radio-network--4541473/support.
