A couple of years ago, I launched a feature on the show called Star Wars POP! The "POP" stands for "Podcasters on Podcasting," so it's "Star Wars Podcasters on Podcasting," but "Star Wars POP!" sounded so much more fun, so I went with that. I did two episodes of that feature - one with Tim McMahon of The Expanded Fandomverse and Less Than 12 Parsecs, and another with Amy Ratcliffe of Lattes With Leia. And I have no idea why I stopped after two of them! It wasn't like it was getting out of hand... (That's a Neimoidian joke for you.) So as of today, I'm rebooting the feature, and I'm pleased to welcome Jay and Dennis from Podcast Stardust to the microphones. There's a standard seven questions I'll be asking them and every other podcast guest for this feature, and I've already got three more recorded so far. But first, Jay and Dennis... Punch it! ***I'm listener supported! Join the community at http://Patreon.com/sw7x7 to get access to bonus episodes and other insider rewards.***
Jimmy met up with his friend Dr. Andrea Letamendi for his annual therapy interview session! Drea is clinical psychologist, writer, consultant and big lover of nerdy things from Batman to Star Wars and more! She also hosts the podcasts The Arkham Sessions and Lattes With Leia. They talk about the psychology of various characters in comics and sci-fi, diversity, Avengers, healing the nerd mind and over all mental health issues. It's a fascinating and informative (and fun!) discussion. We do get a little serious discussing mental health and she doles out some great advice. Darth Maul. Just a single issue this episode, but it's got enough story beats, action and verve to fill up an entire story, but that's not surprising, given how deliciously weird and wild Star Wars: Doctor Aphra has been since the character's introduction in the pages of Darth Vader, Vol. 1.As such, Doctor Aphra #29 is inarguably the best issue so far of this story arc, and we'll explain our reasoning behind our assertion. Agree? Disagree? That's OK because like this stellar comics series, it's the different approaches that make it standout with such zest. As for news, we weigh in the utter balderdash that is Marvel Comics going the way of the dodo and, also, a personal message, too. This week's Star Wars comics, out March 6, include:Star Wars: Age of Republic -- Padme Amidala #1 (One shot)Star Wars: Vader -- Dark Visions #1 (of five)Star Wars #62Stay in touch and up to date by following us on Twitter and Facebook.Like what you hear?
