Hello travelers! On today's Walkabout, join cohost Producer Josh as you take a relaxing audio stroll around Disney's Hollywood Studios. You'll start in the hustle and bustle of Hollywood Boulevard and take in the sounds around the Chinese Theatre. Then you'll walk around Echo Lake before passing by Star Tours and into Tatooine Traders. From there you'll head down Grand Avenue and into Galaxys Edge (you may hear a Wookiee!) before continuing through Andy's backyard and down Sunset Boulevard. As always, use good listening devices as we always record in 4 channel surround sound. We hope you enjoy the episode and thanks so much for following along! Look us up at @WalkaboutWDW on Instagram and drop us a note to say hi! Find our producer Josh also on Instagram at @TheSteele. Say hi to our west coast correspondent Ric at @opticaljedi. Lastly give a shout to our Orlando correspondent Pete at @neverlandlocal. You can now also drop us at line at firstname.lastname@example.org. Say hi, tell us how you found us, and give us some suggestions on things you'd love to hear. Walkabout The World is a weekly Disney podcast, always recorded on property at Walt Disney World or Disneyland Resort with the simple goal of making you feel like you are in the middle of the magic.
On our latest podcast, we chat about the episodes of Corrie shown in the UK between the 20th and the 24th February (Episodes #10882 - 10887). Well what a turnaround that was! After last week's kinda dull offering, we really thought that Corrie was firing on all cylinders this week - and who'd have guessed that Alya of all characters would be the one to do it? From the brilliantly written scenes where she visits Max in prison to the heart-wrenching reading of her victim personal statement, we were totally gripped by the climax of the far right story this week, and for it to also include Shona's return, some lovey character moments between David and Maria and Spider triumphing over Griff made it all the better. Just a shame that Blake's sentencing and Councillor Cameron's comeuppance were rushed through! Also this week, more creepy weirdo stalker stuff from Justin, Stephen sets his sights on taking ownership of the factory, and a reunion for Billy and Paul. There are a few little bits and bobs for us to cover in The Kabin next in the podcast, including the return of Star Tours at the Corrie Tour, and we round out the show with more of your listener feedback, including an interesting point about Stephen needing a nemesis to scope him out. What happens when Stef lets Chris talk about whatever he wants? He talks about Disneyland rides, consequential to how Lucasfilm eventually gets bought by Disney. In this episode, we talk about the lead-up to Star Tours: The Adventures Continue. Star Tours saved the Disney theme parks once upon a time, but the golden era of Disney didn't last long. We discuss the fallout after the creation of the original Star Tours, how Star Tours 2.0 came to be, why the ride works the way it works (much to the dismay of many Star Wars canon lovers), and lastly, how this set the stage for Disney buying Lucasfilm. Listen for more details!

Welcome everyone to Reel Film Nerds podcast 305. Today Mike and Matt review a film that is lighting up the awards scene, The Banshees of Inisherin starring Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson. Off topics include kayaking, Star Tours, and our first giveaway of 2023! For the second podcast of the year your hosts already don't agree, that is a first! The Banshees of Inisherin is not a film for everyone. It is sad, dark, depressing, and humorous. It is your typical art house or independent type film. The acting is incredible, the sets are beautiful, and the story is very thought provoking, well to one of your hosts. There are ways you can read into the film, think about what it means, and how it pertains to your life or it might just come off really weird to you. Can you guess which host went what way? Our ratings will tell you. Mike Talent was not a fan of The Banshees of Inisherin. He thought it was just weird and boring, awarding it 2.5 out of 5 Reels. Matt really liked it and read into it quite a bit especially how it pertains to his own life. He awards the film 4 out of 5 Reels. Shocked? Yeah we are too. Mike is usually the hardcore film guy getting a ton out of smaller indie films. Not this time, I wonder if Matt is maturing? Nah there were a ton of f-bombs in this one. Next week Mike and Matt head to the theaters to catch their first horror film of the year, M3GAN (2023) starring Allison Williams and Violet McGraw. Thank you for listening and we will chat with you next week! If you have a film you would like Matt and Mike to review, email us at email@example.com You can find us on all things social such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Why not join our Facebook Fan Group so you can yell at Mike and Matt from the comfort of your keyboard while talking about films. We also have an old fashioned website where you can watch trailers, read the host's bios, listen to the podcast, and get a ton more info on the movies we review. http://www.ReelFilmNerds.com Thank you for liking, subscribing, rating, reviewing, and telling your friends about our podcast. Finally go out and catch as many movies as you can!

How many people can say their childhood dreams came true? Tony Baxter can. He fell in love with Disneyland as a boy (building a perfect replica of Sleeping Beauty's castle) and wound up as an Imagineer, creating world-famous attractions for “the happiest place on earth.” From Thunder Mountain to Star Tours, he has left his fingerprints in so many places, beginning in Anaheim and culminating in his favorite, Disneyland Paris. Leonard and Jessie have counted Tony as a friend for many years but this is the first time they've recorded his thoughts and memories

Soundscapes: Disneyland's Tomorrowland ----- Want More Here With The Magic? Watch the Show: https://www.herewiththemagic.com/show Visit The Website: https://herewiththemagic.com Watch Here: https://www.youtube.com/HereWithTheMagic Connect on Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/herewiththemagic Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/herewiththemagic/ -- When I think of Disneyland, I feel an instant nostalgic sense of joy. As the original Magic Kingdom and the only park Walt knew intimately and saw to completion, we as Disney lovers and lifers seem to have an inherent attachment to the place that inspires a soul-stirring, heart-soaring feeling every time we step beyond its gates. What's weird is that my couple of childhood trips were actually to Walt Disney World. I didn't visit Disneyland until decades later. But still, there's this unmistakable feeling of nostalgia that I think many of us find at Disneyland. We know that Magic lives Here. We don't need to have experienced it as children to feel it. It's so powerful here, that it brings forth that inner child, regardless of age. And, for me, there may be no place where I feel that inner child leaping forward more than in Tomorrowland. All around this space, there is an abundant joy -- laughter of current guests and echoes from family vacations long past. Waves from little hands flying rocket ships and faces alight with the wonder of new discovery, and in search of galaxies far, far, away. Even the techno-futuristic music seems to carry a nostalgic tune throughout the entire land. And though Tomorrowland is often classified as the place for thrill-seekers, there's something Here for those of us who enjoy a slower pace. The rooftop queue of the mighty Space Mountain, the sprawling retro-classic bandstand at the Tomorrowland Terrace, the lagoon at the reimagined submarine voyage…quiet spaces to pause and reflect. And it makes for great people watching too -- and listening! It's hard to explain Tomorrowland to someone who's never visited. Essentially, it's a dream that keeps on dreaming. A future that never was, but could someday be. But before we can get to Tomorrow, we have to immerse ourselves in the right now, because today holds all the Magic we need for this moment. Right here in Tomorrowland, where the future has arrived.
Last week we gave some analysis on the more popular rides in the Magic Kingdom at Disney World. This week we're going to take a deep dive into the popular rides at both Disney's Hollywood Studios and EPCOT

Faster, More Intense: A Star Wars Podcast
On our premiere episode, Mike is joined by Danielle to talk about her journey as Star Wars fan from her first time riding Star Tours, all the way up to her reasons for not watching The Rise of Skywalker. We cover it all, from a certain point of view.
On this week's show, Disneyland veterans, David and Ronn dive into several sizzling Disney topics. Exploring The NEW (Temporary?) Magic Key Pass Program! Is it better or worse? What did they change? Why did they change it? Is this the MKP program that is here to stay? Just kidding, when are they changing it again? “We read demand. We have no plans right now in terms of what we're going to do, but we operate with a surgical knife here, It's all up to the consumer. If consumer demand keeps up, we'll act accordingly. If we see a softening, which we don't think we're going to see, then we can act accordingly as well.” - CEO Bob ChapekDoes the question now become how drastic are the changes still to come? Something unprecedented? Will the future state of annual passes be unrecognizable - or even exist at all?Do we think Disney will ever put Batuu in a future Star Wars film? Do we think a Tarzan's Treehouse announcement could be big enough for D23? DCA lacks a great dark ride that cycles thru many guests like Pirates of the Caribbean and the Haunted Mansion. What dark ride would we like to see at DCA?Plus, we plunge into the Disney zeitgeist and explore this week's most popular and headline-grabbing Disney chatter including "attendance mix", D23 Legends announced, Disney+ Day, the Big Thunder Mountain movie announcement, Batuu Bounty Hunters, and Disneyland Magic Bands. All this and the big reveal of our Top 5 Favorite Quotes from a Ride, and more!

Soundscapes: Ewok Village (Star Wars Series) ----- Want More Here With The Magic? Visit The Website: https://herewiththemagic.com Watch Here: https://www.youtube.com/HereWithTheMagic Watch the corresponding video for this Soundscape: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fv4BoV5bfV0 Connect on Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/herewiththemagic Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/herewiththemagic/ -- Soundscapes is all about celebrating the well known ambient spaces that trigger nostalgic joy in so many of us. And it's also about introducing listeners to some spaces that may have gone undiscovered, overlooked, or underappreciated. One of the things that I love about Disney parks and resorts is that they are full of surprises. Wonderful little audible gems that can only be appreciated by slowing down, maybe taking a moment to pause, and savouring these incredibly imagineered spaces. It turns out that the entrance to Star Tours in Disney's Hollywood Studios is one of these places. I'm not sure how many times I passed through this area without fully appreciating it, but one relatively recent night, I happened to be standing in this area, taking in the scene, when I realized there was an abundance of wonderful ambient sound that had somehow missed my ears during many, many previous visits. Of course, I immediately knew I needed to capture this moment and share it with you! What you'll hear, beneath the towering evergreens of this faraway Ewok planet, is a Soundscape thriving with life and activity. This place serves as a sanctuary, a haven from the galaxy's distant rumblings. It seems that even the farthest reaches of the Galaxy hold Magic reminiscent of places that feel like home. Here, we find a warm whisper of welcome, a call to relax and let the sounds of droids and battleships intermingle with the wildlife and tree canopies rustling in the wind. Even in the midst of what is ostensibly a Star Wars production set, we find a quiet moment of joy and contentment, a space to be utterly at ease, and one with the story. The Star Wars Saga has stood the test of time, not just for its exceptional humanity, but for its ability to find us where we are and bring us Here, to spaces that feel both familiar and ethereal, out-of-this-world and entirely within our element. We are joined by our collective, shared journey, and all that we seek along the way. The Rebels and the Revelers, the Resistance and the Reflective…seeking harmony; to bring our world into balance. Light and darkness, chaos and calm, Magic held in the moments of Mundane. Right Here in Endor, or in the breathtaking embrace of your own backyard; right Here With the Magic that connects us all.
On this week's show, Disneyland veterans, David and Ronn dive into several sizzling Disney topics. Exploring the D23 Expo Panel Announcements and Details. Did they tell us too much? Or did they set us up for even bigger announcements at the Expo? Does Bob Chapek need a "win" to get the fans and shareholders excited and therefore drop a bombshell on us or should we temper our expectations altogether?Do we think Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway will be a part of regular Genie+, have its own Lightning Lane, or neither? What are our biggest fears concerning the Disneyland Resort? What attraction would we MOST like to have ridden on the attraction's opening day?Plus, we plunge into the Disney zeitgeist and explore this week's most popular and headline-grabbing Disney chatter including Magic Key Pass Renewal time, Halloween Time has crept into the Parks, Disney's upcoming Third Quarter Earnings Call, and the effects of slowing economy on the Parks. All this and the big reveal of our Top 5 Ride Moments, and more!
A.CARD & Ayrflo discuss what it was like going to theme parks in the early 90's and mid 2000's, all the way to 2018. From DisneyLand, DisneyWorld, and even DisneyTokyo, we pour over the 50 year span of Disney's reign of terror. Join us for a dive into the magic behind Universal Studios and their parks that brought you the joy of being a part of some of your favorite movies, from Spider-Man to Jaws and more! The video version has about 15 extra minutes of us reacting to classic Disney and Universal commercials, tap in for more hilarity! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ffvd1X0psmUSupport the show
On this week's show, Disneyland veterans, David and Ronn dive into several sizzling Disney topics. Is a Reservation Waitlist Coming to Disneyland? Of course, Disney could implement a reservation waitlist but would they? Should they? Would that make the reservation system a better process – or a worse one? The Disneyland Resort is a different animal than the other Disney Parks in that it's a locals Country Club of sorts. Does that fact make a potential reservation waitlist more or less likely? So many questions that are all answered by one simple question: Will a reservation waitlist generate more revenue for The Walt Disney Company or not? What is our favorite Easter egg or nod to a former attraction? If we could spend one night in the Parks where would we sleep? What ride would we like to be on when a breakdown happens?Plus, we plunge into the Disney zeitgeist and explore the most popular and headline-grabbing Disney chatter including CEO Bob Chapek's 3-year extension, Tiana's Bayou Adventure coming in 2024, the return of the Lagoon, Lightyear makeover of Space Mountain, the waffling timeline in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. All this and the big reveal of our Favorite 5 Queues in the Parks, and more!
We did a show pre pandemic with Jeremy whether we should even have Star torus as an attraction since Galaxy's edge opened. At the time we discussed some of the history and decided this should exist because in the immortal words of Mae Kat "Do you want to go to Hoth or not?" Listen as we break down the history of this beloved albeit, unnecessary attraction and re-litigate why this still exists. And, which is better between these identical attractions with few exterior differences. Image courtesy of disnerland.com Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Disney would not confirm of deny the information, but released a statement that they will have more to share at the Essence Festival of Culture in New Orleans in July. – https://www.micechat.com/323486-disneyland-update-new-views-booking-up-locking-out/ At Star Wars Celebration last week, it was announced at one of the panels that new scenes would be coming to Star Tours. No details have been released on what the scenes will be, but it is always a welcome addition to have more options. Once we know more, we will be sure to talk about it on a future episode! – https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2022/05/27/disney-hints-at-new-star-tours-scenes/ As we reported last week, Radiator Springs Racers was forced to close after an incident where smoke was coming from one of the ride vehicles. After a 10-day closure, the attraction reopened on Friday, June 3rd. Still no official word on what the cause of the incident was, but a former Disneyland Maintenance Cast Member told MiceChat that the ride vehicles break down regularly and curcuit breakers in each car will cause the vehicle to stop when problems arise. – https://www.ocregister.com/2022/06/03/disneyland-reopens-radiator-springs-racers-after-smoking-car-closes-ride-for-more-than-a-week/ and https://www.micechat.com/322588-disneyland-news-radiator-springs-racers-incident-blue-bayou-return-info/ and https://disneyland.disney.go.com/dining/disneyland/fantasmic-dinner-packages/availability-modal/ Guests at Disneyland can dine at a favorite restaurant that has recently reopened in a limited capacity. The Blue Bayou has returned and is not taking online reservations, but guests can join the walk-up wait list for lunch or dinner at the podium at the restaurant, or through the Disneyland mobile app. Pirates of the Caribbean is still closed for refurbishment, so the view may not be as magical as normal. The Fantasmic! dining package lists reservation times starting on June 16th. – https://twitter.com/DisneyParks/status/1532803837068824578 MiceChat was able to obtain aerial photos of Toon Town progress this week. From the air, we can see that all of the pavement in the land has been removed and is currently dirt. The facade of the El CapiTOON theater is looking more and more complete. The area where the new park will be located has been cleared and awaiting work to start. Both fountains in the land have also been removed, along with the gazebo in front of the City Hall building. – https://www.micechat.com/323486-disneyland-update-new-views-booking-up-locking-out/ The former entrance to Tarzan's Treehouse has come out from behind walls this week. The area is much more open now for guest traffic heading out of Adventureland toward the bridge over the Pirates queue. Once again, there is not any theming on the new concrete. The lack of the entrance also allows parts of New Orleans Square to be visible throughout Adventureland. – https://www.micechat.com/323486-disneyland-update-new-views-booking-up-locking-out/ We are one week into June, and Celebrate Soulfully has officially kicked off at Disneyland. In Disney California Adventure, groups have been performing at the Hollywood Pictures Backlot stage, and in front of Carthay Circle daily, and seasonal food offerings scattered about. – https://www.micechat.com/323486-disneyland-update-new-views-booking-up-locking-out/ For anyone who has never seen Fantasmic! or would like some tips on how to best experience it, the Orange County Register posted some tips. Among the best tips are to make sure to find a spot in front of one of the mist screens. They are located in front of the island, and on both sides. If you find yourself in the middle of the screens, the view isn't as good. The other stand out tip is to catch the second show of the night. The second show is always less crowded and it is impossible to sit for hours holding a spot since the entire area is cleared after the first show, and fireworks afterward. The longest you will have to wait is about an hour. – https://www.ocregister.com/2022/06/03/7-tips-for-watching-the-return-of-fantasmic-at-disneyland/ Much like the electrical parade, there is a favorite treat at Disneyland that keeps on returning. The Fluffernutter churro is available once again at Willie's Churros on Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure. The churro is a standard churro, topeed with a peanut butter sauce, marshmallow sauce, and chocolate chips. The churro is available for $6.75. – https://dlnewstoday.com/2022/06/review-fantastic-fluffernutter-churro-returns-to-disney-california-adventure/ When we were there last month, there was a line of walls up in front of Ariel's Undersea Adventure. Those walls have finally come down to reveal that they were just replacing the concrete in this area. This is just some of the walkway repaving that has been going on around the entire resort. – https://www.micechat.com/323486-disneyland-update-new-views-booking-up-locking-out/ Discussion Topic: Nicolasa from the Disneyana Fan Club

On this week's show, Disneyland veterans, David and Ronn dive into several sizzling Disney topics. Galaxy's Edge: Legacy & Original Characters & Timelines?! Portfolio Creative Executive and Studio Leader at Walt Disney Imagineering , Scott Trowbridge, announced some interesting new details at Star Wars Celebration this week including the exciting additions of legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett and mercenary Fennec Shand. He shared with us that "Walt Disney Imagineering is committed to the long history of Batuu and the collection of characters who inhabit the outpost. Including legacy characters, original characters, and new and future characters from the ever-expanding galaxy of Star Wars storytelling. While we as visitors may be able to experience different stories throughout Star Wars history, the characters on Batuu cannot. They will remain in their specific story and timeline and won't intersect with other characters or stories that would not be appropriate for them.” Legacy characters? Original characters? Characters cannot get more "legacy" and "original" than Luke, Leia, Han, Lando and Darth Vader- will Disney storytelling magic really bring them to Black Spire outpost!? Will the next two quarters make a difference in how much longer Bob Chapek remains CEO? What is the Society of Explorers and Adventurers (S.E.A.) universe? Which Disneyland attraction would we like to become a part of S.E.A.?Plus, we remember, celebrate, and honor Up, Three Little Pigs, New Fantasyland, Pinocchio's Daring Journey, it's a small world, and Walt Disney World in this week in Disney history. All this and the big reveal of our Top 5 Places to Relax and People Watch in the Parks, and more!

DIZNEY COAST TO COAST - The Ultimate Unofficial Disney Fan Podcast
Disney and Star Wars have a long history together. It all started with the E-Ticket attraction Star Tours at Disneyland. Back then, who knew that just a few decades later The Walt Disney Company would no longer need to license these characters from George Lucas for use in their parks, as they would later own the entirety of Lucasfilm Ltd. But there was a shift in Disney's relationship with the Star Wars characters once they purchased them. What used to be a very playful franchise they didn't take all that seriously has now become serious business with extremely strict rules in regard to timeline, continuity, and character integrity. But has The Walt Disney Company gone too far? Join me as I chat with Star Wars aficionado and mega-fan Mike Celestino about this change in policy from a long time ago, when Disney simply licensed the characters, to now as they currently own them. On this week's show, Disneyland veterans, David and Ronn dive into several sizzling Disney topics. Exploring The Future of New Orleans Square and Pirates of the Caribbean! What changes were made? What have we gained? What have we lost? Are there still more changes coming? Is the Pirates of the Caribbean ride changing at all? Where will the queue be formed? Right? Left? Both? Will they add Lightning Lane? What have they done and what are they still going to do to the wonderous New Orleans Square and the masterpiece that is Pirates of the Caribbean? Why doesn't Bob Chapek get credit for the good things happening in the Parks on his watch like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and get blamed for all the bad things? What advice would we give newcomers for viewing World of Color or Fantasmic!? After Star Wars Night, do we think the characters and experiences we saw like Ewok's, Jawas & Ashoka could appear in Galaxy's Edge in the future? Plus, we remember, celebrate, and honor the Finding Nemo, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, The Indian War Canoes, New Tomorrowland, and Disney Legend Thurl Ravenscroft in this week in Disney history. All this and the big reveal of our Top 5 Ride Scenes at Disneyland, and more!

Fantasmic! debuted on May 13, 1992 at Disneyland. Over the years, the show has added and subtracted different scenes and elements. Some of those include the 2009 upgrade to digital projection and the current 45-foot tall dragon, known as Murphy! In 2017, new scenes and songs were added including Aladdin. The show has been performed more than 11,000 times since its debut. The Red Car Trolley should be traveling on the tracks on Buena Vista Street and down Hollywood Land. No exact date was mentioned, but it should return before the full swing of summer. On this week's show, Disneyland veterans, David and Ronn dive into several sizzling Disney topics. Exploring Avengers Campus Flourish, While Galaxy's Edge Sits Stagnant. Has Marvel taken a stranglehold on Star Wars? Sure appears like Disney feels that way as it's undeniable their focus is currently on Marvel. Marvel is currently flourishing in Disney Parks, on Disney+, and at the Box Office while even in the midst of Star Wars Celebration Galaxy's Edge remains an afterthought. Avenger Campus is blossoming with new merchandise, new characters by the week, and even a new home run attraction at Disney World with Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Meanwhile... galactic crickets at Star Wars Galaxy's Edge.Which characters should have their own themed parade float? What are our favorite books about Disneyland? If we could overhaul one Land in the Parks, where would it be and what would the changes look like?Plus, we remember, celebrate, and honor Plane Crazy, Mickey's Revue, the Starcade Video Arcade, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, Space Mountain, Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Disney Dollars, and Fantasmic! this week in Disney history. On this week's show, Disneyland veterans, David and Ronn dive into several sizzling Disney topics. What We Learned from Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock's State of the Resort Presentation. A few weeks ago Potrock teased the exciting upcoming new details he would announce coming to the Disneyland Resort. Well, that day finally came and at was a bit anti-climactic as the details were really about the areas outside of the Parks. The Downtown Disney Distrist and the Paradise Pier Hotel primarily - raising more questions than answering in many respects. Are the changes we're seeing today the beginning elements of a much larger matching changes to come the Disneyland Resort as a whole? What tell-all documentary would we like to see made about the Parks? Has there ever been a moment at Disneyland where we cried or got misty-eyed? What are our Disneyland Resort pet peeves? Plus, we remember, celebrate, and honor Donald Gets Drafted, The Moose Hunt, the Sleeping Beauty Castle Walk-through, The Pendleton Woolen Mills Dry Goods Store, The Muppets, and the purchase of land in Anaheim for an amusement park this week in Disney history. All this and the big reveal of our Top 5 Disneyland Resort Sounds, and more!
On this week's show, Disneyland veterans, David and Ronn dive into several sizzling Disney topics. The Return of the Nighttime Spectaculars & Character Meet & Greets Plus Tarzan's Treehouse News! Despite the challenges we've all endured in the Parks over the past couple of years, the very essence of the Disneyland Resort remained alive. And we're about to find out the profound impact the explosion of energy we've been missing all this time is going to have on the Parks when the Main Street Electrical Parade kicks off the festivities April 22! What's one of the kindest things a Fresh Baked fan has done for either of you? What attractions could you see potentially added to Lightning Lane? Is it possible Disney changes the reservation system to where only certain days require a reservation such as holidays and weekends and leave other days open?Plus, we remember, celebrate, and honor Make Mine Music, Mr. Boogedy, Goof Troop, The Enchanted Book Shoppe, Believe You Can... And You Can!, Flora Disney, and the New York World's Fair in this week in Disney history. All this and the big reveal of our Top 5 Attractions Disney fans may want to return but are probably better left as memories, and more!
On this week's show, Disneyland veterans, David and Ronn dive into several sizzling Disney topics. Exploring The Glaring Disneyland Resort Entertainment Void. While a few huge nighttime spectaculars are set to return in just over a week like The Main Street Electrical Parade, the Disneyland Forever Fireworks Show, and World of Color with Fantasmic! set to come about a month later several other essential Disneyland entertainment staples remain non-existent. A Disneyland daytime parade anyone? Speaking of daytime, the sweltering summer heat is coming with merely a fraction of the large indoor air-conditioned entertainment offering providing that much-needed relief from the heat to relax, recover and remain elated to be at the Disneyland Resort. If we had to choose one, what Pixar or Disney Animated film would we select for a Live-Action remake? If you could take any item from Disneyland home with you, what would it be? What are some Disneyland things we really grew to appreciate?Plus, we remember, celebrate, and honor America Sings, Mickey's Kangaroo, Huey, Dewey, and Louie, the Alice in Wonderland attraction, the Tahitian Terrace restaurant, The Disney Channel, and Hayley Mills in this week in Disney history. All this and the big reveal of our Top 5 Underrated Things to do at the Parks, and more!
On this week's show, Disneyland veterans, David and Ronn dive into several sizzling Disney topics. The Disneyland Resort Phased Reopening – is only at the Halfway Point? Wait. What? Another year?! That's right, according to Disneyland President, Ken Potrock, who says the Disneyland Resort has only just reached the halfway point of an extended phased reopening with another year needed before operations fully return to pre-pandemic levels. What does that mean? What operational elements remain that would require an entire year to complete? Was this intentional statement intended to reset our expectations? To buy time for something specific? So many questions! Which non-IP rides would we like (hypothetically) to see made into a movie? Will we see Lightning Lane added to Pirates of the Caribbean with the New Orleans Square remodel? Have we ever skipped work to go to Disneyland?Plus, we remember, celebrate, and honor The Ugly Duckling, Private Pluto, Ub Iwerks, the Midget Autopia, the 'Disneyland' television series, The Bathroom of Tomorrow, and Frank Wells in this week in Disney history. All this and the big reveal of our Top 5 Ride Updates or Refurbishments, and more!
On this week's show, Disneyland pros, David and Ronn dive into several sizzling Disney topics. The Disneyland Resort Status Report! What's happening around the Parks? What exciting things have quietly begun returning? Downtown Disney starting to feel like an entirely new world. What in the "refurbishment" is going on - New Orleans Square, Pirates of the Caribbean, Nemo's Submarine Voyage, Tarzan's Treehouse AND Toontown? Aye, aye-aye. 75% of Disneyland is still pretty wonderful but more is better! So as magical as the Disneyland Resort is today... it's only going to get better from here! What ride would David hypothetically bring to Disneyland from each of the four Walt Disney World Parks? What Disney World dining options would David put in Downtown Disney? Do we think the Dessert and Dining packages for World of Color will return? Plus, we remember, celebrate, and honor the Snow White Wishing Well and Grotto, Bear Country, The Walt Disney Commemorative Gold Medal, the public announcement of the "Riverside Drive Park", Who Framed Roger Rabbit and The Little Mermaid in this week in Disney history. All this and the big reveal of our Top 5 Disneyland Attractions we would most enjoy working at, and more!
