C dans l'air du 11 mai 2026 - Hantavirus : 1er cas en France…Depuis plusieurs jours, les regards sont braqués sur le navire de croisière MV Hondius, où l'OMS a signalé un foyer d'infection à hantavirus ayant déjà causé plusieurs décès. Alors que les ultimes évacuations du navire se poursuivent ce lundi après-midi depuis l'archipel espagnol des Canaries, dans l'océan Atlantique, « nous sommes à 9 cas, dont 7 confirmés, d'hantavirus dans le monde, dont une Française », a expliqué Anaïs Legand, experte de l'OMS spécialisée dans les fièvres hémorragiques virales.Sur les cinq passagers français rapatriés dimanche et placés à l'isolement à l'hôpital Hôpital Bichat à Paris, l'état de santé d'une femme s'est « malheureusement dégradé cette nuit » et les « tests sont revenus positifs », a annoncé ce lundi matin la ministre française de la Santé Stéphanie Rist, faisant état de 22 cas contacts identifiés en France, à l'isolement à leur domicile. Le gouvernement a toutefois appelé à ne pas céder à « la panique ».La crise à bord de ce navire suscite néanmoins l'inquiétude, ravivant les souvenirs de la pandémie de COVID-19, même si l'Organisation mondiale de la Santé martèle que la situation n'est pas comparable à 2020. À ce stade, trois personnes ayant voyagé à bord du Hondius sont décédées après une infection à l'hantavirus, cette souche rare qui peut se transmettre d'homme à homme, avec un délai d'incubation pouvant aller jusqu'à six semaines. Cette maladie peut notamment provoquer un syndrome respiratoire aigu et son taux de létalité peut dépasser les 40 %, selon les spécialistes.À l'heure actuelle, chaque pays met en place le protocole sanitaire qui lui semble le plus adéquat, très souvent en suivant les consignes de l'OMS. Ainsi, les 14 Espagnols évacués ont déjà été mis à l'isolement dans un hôpital militaire de Madrid. Les six passagers partis ce lundi pour l'Australie seront, eux, placés en quarantaine pendant au moins trois semaines. En Allemagne, quatre rapatriés, tous asymptomatiques, devront s'isoler à domicile pendant 45 jours.Aux États-Unis, où les ressortissants sont rapatriés vers un centre spécialisé situé à Omaha, dans le Nebraska rural, les passagers, qui sont asymptomatiques, ne seront pas nécessairement placés en quarantaine ni testés. Le patron de l'OMS a estimé que ce protocole « peut présenter des risques ». Ce lundi, l'un des passagers américains a été testé positif à l'hantavirus ; un autre présente des symptômes « légers ».Qu'est-ce que l'hantavirus, ce virus dont le premier cas positif a été identifié en France ? Jim Abernethy is our guest on today’s episode. He is an award-winning author, photographer, publisher, cinematographer, and wildlife conservationist. Jim is the Founder of three non-profits as well as two for-profits and has been in the scuba diving business for over four decades. He has a business degree, but says that business seems to come naturally to him.  Jim has quite a unique recruiting process in his businesses. He constantly has people contacting his office looking for work, and he takes us through the steps they must complete before a hiring decision is made. We hear what Jim tells candidates who have gotten far in the hiring process, during which he reveals that about 90% of candidates who get as far as speaking with Jim get hired. Regarding the positive company culture that he has built, Jim says he believes everything starts at the top. He recalls one employee who adjusted a fault overnight to fit the culture and create a better experience for customers. Jim believes that you must walk the walk.  The main focus in everything that Jim does in conservation. He says that our planet is headed in the wrong direction but that this presents an opportunity for us to come up with solutions. Jim and Jacob exchange their thoughts on how if you are in-shape as an entrepreneur, it will directly translate into your business’ success. A repeated point that Jim brings up is happiness, which also aligns with this philosophy.
