Today we gather colleagues Hannah Corcoran, Freddie Jones, Toby Draper and Aaron Parsons together to share their experiences with one of our core pillars of work at Auroch Digital – game porting and publishing. We talk about the process of working with indie devs to bring their game from PC to console platforms like Xbox, Nintendo and PlayStation, as well as mobile, or even taking a mobile game and bringing it to PC! Show Notes The games we port and publish are games we love to play and that we want to share with more gamers, and we do so in a fair way for us, the devs and the players at home. If you're a developer and want to chat to us about partnering with us on a porting project – get in touch! If you want to see some of our porting work, you can check out Megaquarium and The Colonists on our website.
Today we're (virtually) opening the doors of the studio and inviting you in to see what working at Auroch is like now we've adapted to COVID-19. Ever wondered what a Studio Director's Day looks like? Or how to manage your own community as a Games Studio? We discuss this and more with our colleagues at Auroch Digital, and explain why we are now a largely remote-working studio. Show Notes Did Brewmaster pique your interest? You can Wishlist it on Steam now Check out our porting work on Megaquarium and The Colonists too, and the mentorship scheme Hannah and Ladell both took part in prior to joining Auroch: Limit Break Curious to see more of our guests? In the first half of the show Lucy talks about her growing addiction to Chivalry 2, a nonsense large-scale first person battler with unpredictable results. Ben returned back to megaquarium and is still enjoying Resi 8, while Aadil got sucked into the curse of optimisation and completion with cooking in Moonglow Bay. We also talk a bit about Subway Midnight before moving on to the spoileriffic discussion of Inscryption in the second half of the episode. Be warned. Lucy has Arbor's Pocket Rocket Session Pale and the Mammut Stout from Omnipollo. Aadil had the Citra NEIPA Jnr from Salt and the Alpha Delta DDH Pale Ale from Athena. Ben started with some Culture shock, courtesy of Polly's, also a DDH Pale, and rounded the night out with Overtone's Pure Magic DIPA Join The Discord: https://discord.gg/JwY25Kv Visit Us On Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/outoflivesnetwork Please like comment and subscribe and if you can share it!

This week on the Finger Guns Podcast the whole gang is back together to discuss the weeks happenings in the gaming world. The team reminisce on PS4 memories as the system becomes the second biggest selling console of all time, what we love about the console and why we all decided to grab one at launch instead of Microsoft's 2013 offering along with why, away from the exclusives, we think the system has just done so damn well this generation. We also choose our most anticipated games to be released before the end of the year and given that we recorded this episode on Halloween, we tackle our favourite horror games from history and try and come up with the ultimate scary game (spoiler; we don't). We also dig into just what on earth the remake masters Bluepoint Games are tweeting about and give a nod of approval to 3 Minutes to Midnight, a fantastic point-and-click adventure game that cleared its Kickstarter funding goal whilst we were recording. Finally we talk hands-on with Afterparty, The Outer Worlds, Call of Duty Modern Warfare, Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Children of Morta, Megaquarium and more. Oh, and there's yet more controversy in a Star Wars themed Trivia Challenge. After the madness of our EGX week we're back to normal Podcast duties with Greg, Sean and Rossko in the hotseats to discuss EGX 2019 with some hard-hitting questions from Rossko (kind of). Elsewhere Greg went to play Boundary at the Ukie Studios to let us know why he's so very excited for this one to come out and why the rest of us should be taking this one very seriously. Something we shouldn't be taking seriously is Bethesda's latest very impressive way to shoot Fallout 76 into the sun once and for all with their Fallout First subscription announcement. Goodness do we have some thoughts. Also, Dead End Job has a release date! How very exciting. Oh, and Horizon Zero Dawn coming to VR? A hastily back-pedalled tweet suggests so...Elsewhere Rossko and Greg wax lyrical about The Outer Worlds, with plenty of positive impressions of the games early hours. Oh, it's so good. Plus we talk hands on with Lonely Mountains Downhill, No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again on PS4, Children of Morta, Megaquarium, Return of the Obra Dinn on Switch, Fortnite Chapter 2 impressions (SO MANY BOTS), and *very* brief impressions of Call of Duty's latest iteration Modern Warfare. Finally, the Trivia Challenge is back! Sorry if we've ruined Majora's Mask for you... The year 2018 is going down in a storm. Hundreds of games will perish. But there’s one tiny lifeboat, and enough room for three games. It falls on the sorry shoulders of the RPS podcast crew to decide which games survive. Listen to find out what survives this terrible fate. Alice B is vouching for a well-known blockbuster. Brendan is sticking with the nautical theme. And Alice L is saving some slippery friends. But perhaps the sunken ship is just the first of their troubles. Sheepishly, we return to the podcast studio after a three month hiatus. Er… sorry about that. To make up for it, we talk through a selection of new and recent releases, all while trying to remember how you a) do a podcast, b) speak in full, comprehensible sentences, c) tell a joke without lampshading it first. Discussed: Hitman 2, Forza Horizon 4, Return of the Obra Dinn, GRIS, Megaquarium, Fallout 76 Starring: Samuel Roberts (https://twitter.com/samuelwroberts) , Phil Savage (https://twitter.com/octaeder) , Philippa Warr (https://twitter.com/philippawarr) The PC Gamer UK Podcast is a weekly podcast about PC gaming. Lucy get’s a little more into her thoughts on G30 after her initial impression during EGX (when will it be on Android?) and Ben has been chilling out and working a lot with Megaquarium on in the background. On today's show, Marc keeps things brief without showing you their briefs, talking about Megaquarium, more Forza Horizon 4, and yes, even more Attack the Backlog nonsense because they're just too damn excited about it. Anyway, something-something fishy and squishy, cheers and enjoy the anime-zing(ly enthusiastic) show. Anyway, that's it and that's all folks, and, if you're feeling extra generous, you can become a patron, donate a little something-something, or subscribe to show your support for the site, podcast(s), and all the ridiculous jazz we make over here at Pixelated Sausage. And don't forget, you can also support the site by shopping at Amazon if that's your jam--you can probably buy your favorite blueberry jam on Amazon too.
