In this LEGEND/ICON episode we chat with South Africa's leading ODI wicket taker and 2nd highest test wicket taker Shaun Pollock! It was quite surreal chatting with Polly! We grew up watching and admiring him! He was excellent to talk to and is so articulate. You can tell why he also has a great career as a tv pundit after his stellar international career. He is a natural storyteller! We discuss Pollys love of white ball cricket, how his action changed throughout his career and who his influences were growing up and as a young pro playing for Natal. He also gives away some of his favourite training tips which are very useful. We hope you enjoy the podcast as much as we enjoyed recording it.

Failure. What is it and how does it serve us? Early life failure felt like not being picked for the team or giving the wrong answer in school. Through time however, the past becomes alchemized and peace finds its way through the "failures" of life. King Pollys Husband joins me as a wonderfully inspiring alchemist turning his past pains into wisdom. From life being a spiral of themes we return to, to the challenges of turning ideas into reality, King Polly's dark age and the ascent out of it in 2014, the silver linings of failures, conquering self doubt, remembering our divinity and maybe one day having success. lol. We end with his Top 5 vehicles and things to do in Las Vegas.... from Red Rock to Cafe Breizh. Celebrating 4 years of King Polly! Join King Polly for a solo episode about beginning King Pollys World on YouTube, moving through the hopelessness of creating while waiting for success, finding your voice, being called Daria and Squidward, giving up dreams, the importance of having fun, the light after the darkness and the importance of family in my life. I share about what I dream this podcast to be, the importance of one person believing in you, creating a show without a focus on exploiting my sexuality, crying is good, my mysterious ethnicity, not being supported by people while starting out and the Top 5 Vehicles I've owned which leads us down memory lane - a couple of Camrys with a touch of Hyundai. Today I sit down with everybody's favorite King Pollys Husband and we share about the importance of communication in all relationships and how to be in authentic communion with another. We delve into experiencing the ego as a wall in the way of effective communication, trauma and the past's hold over us, seeking peace, working through family separations, trusting life and King Pollys Husband shares a simple breathing exercise called "box breath" that is good for calming down an anxious nervous system. We close with our Top 5 drinks - both from when we used to drink alcohol (yikes), and now that we don't. Thank you so much for spending your time with us today. Ben returned back to megaquarium and is still enjoying Resi 8, while Aadil got sucked into the curse of optimisation and completion with cooking in Moonglow Bay. We also talk a bit about Subway Midnight before moving on to the spoileriffic discussion of Inscryption in the second half of the episode. Be warned. Lucy has Arbor's Pocket Rocket Session Pale and the Mammut Stout from Omnipollo. Aadil had the Citra NEIPA Jnr from Salt and the Alpha Delta DDH Pale Ale from Athena. In other words, if something extremely unexpected happens, it is likely to be followed by something that's more aligned with statistical projections or expectations. We have a tendency to overreact to results in the short term and use those outcomes to make long term decisions, ignoring the reality of regression to the mean. In particular, we tend to ignore the role of luck and timing when evaluating extreme early outcomes. " Per Ian O'connor book Belicheat figured out how to use an illegal Lacrosse stick.

First things first: es gibt keinen Tee in Amsterdam… also keinen ordentlichen. Also nicht ganz, lack of internet und a broken phone haben die connection der Zwei kurz unterbrochen but they're back! Love at first sight? Only time will tell.

It was a cold night in June 1978 when Sydney's Queer history changed forever. Join me on the 39th anniversary walking tour, following the steps of some of the original Sydney Mardi Gras protesters. | Center for Advanced Studies: 29.10.2012 | Referent: Andreas Graefe | Moderation: Hans-Bernd Brosius
