Scott started the LIFERS movie tour last week in St. Louis at the Arkadin Cinema & Bar — and this episode finds him in his hotel after a particularly long day that took him from a showing in Portland, Oregon at the Clinton Street Theater to a showing at the Clairidge Theater in Montclair, New Jersey. The dude was a little rough. (AND there was a fucking Tesla involved!) PLUS!: Micro-cinemas, cat-pigs, Enuff Z'nuff at The Whiskey, The Lumiere in L.A., Gabe's face in IMAX at the Esquire in Sacramento, cineastes, Ryan's nipples, Married Men at the Metro on March 15, the fall Everclear tour, ripping off Amadeus, English accents, and the royal “we” game. (Not discussed, but definitely felt — The Coolidge in Boston and the Film Society Center in Philadelphia.) Remaining dates on the LIFERS movie tour: MARCH 19 — Oriental Theatre — Milwaukee, WI APRIL 6 — Wisconsin Film Festival — Madison, WI APRIL 7 — Screenland Armour — Kansas City, MO APRIL 8 — The Varsity Cinema — Des Moines, IA APRIL 9 — The Trylon — Minneapolis, MN

Hailing from New Jersey, meyerman delivers hard charging pop with power. "The brainchild of guitarist and vocalist Theo Meyer, meyerman raises the ante on the quality of modern powerpop to spring out of New Jersey. Along with his bandmates, Jeff Preischel on bass and vocals, Rob Sadowski on lead guitar and vocals, and Danny Diaz on drums, these guys prove you don't need facial hair, tattoos, or ironic T-shirts in order to rawk." Relying on the tried and true method of encasing a sweet center with crunchy power chords, meyerman cook up all kinds of ear candy. One of the themes explored on the record is music and the music business itself, underscoring the commitment these guys have to their craft - music is truly in their blood. Meyer's vocals are modestly scratchy with a nasal delivery, making the band sound like The Thornbirds or even Enuff Z'Nuff at times. Thanks for listening!!! Send us a Text Message.Enuff Z'Nuff, a band known for their eclectic mix of power pop and hard rock, emerged from Blue Island, Illinois, in the mid-1980s. Formed by bassist and lead vocalist Chip Z'Nuff and guitarist and vocalist Donnie Vie, the band quickly garnered attention with their vibrant melodies, harmonized vocals, and distinctive glam-rock image. Enuff Z'Nuff's self-titled debut album, released in 1989, featured the hits "New Thing" and "Fly High Michelle," both of which received significant airplay on MTV and brought the band into the limelight.Despite the changing tides of musical trends in the 1990s, Enuff Z'Nuff remained resilient, continuing to release a steady stream of albums. Their sound evolved over time, blending elements of psychedelic rock, Beatles-esque harmonies, and the raw edge of early '90s alternative rock. Albums such as "Strength" (1991) and "Animals with Human Intelligence" (1993) showcased their versatility and depth, earning critical acclaim even as mainstream success proved elusive. The band's journey has not been without its trials. Internal conflicts, changes in lineup, and the fluctuating landscape of the music industry posed significant challenges. Donnie Vie departed the band multiple times, leading to various shifts in the band's lineup. Despite these upheavals, Chip Z'Nuff has remained a constant presence, steering the band forward and maintaining its creative output.Enuff Z'Nuff's resilience and commitment to their music are evident in their extensive discography and continued touring. They have released over a dozen studio albums, including "Diamond Boy" (2018), which marked a return to their classic sound with modern influences, and "Brainwashed Generation" (2020), which features a mix of new material and guest appearances by other rock veterans. For fans and newcomers alike, an opportunity to experience Enuff Z'Nuff live is not to be missed. Their energetic performances are known for their blend of nostalgia and contemporary flair, creating an engaging and memorable concert experience. On Friday, June 14th, Enuff Z'Nuff will be bringing their dynamic live show to the Park Hills Underground in Park Hills, Missouri. This performance promises to be a night filled with the band's signature hits and new material, encapsulating their enduring appeal and musical evolution. As they take the stage, attendees can expect a thrilling journey through the band's storied career, filled with powerful rock anthems, infectious pop hooks, and the undeniable charisma of Chip Z'Nuff and his bandmates.www.betterhelp.com/TheBarnhttp://www.betterhelp.com/TheBarn www.BetterHelp.com/TheBarnhttp://www.betterhelp.com/TheBarn http://www.betterhelp.com/TheBarnThis episode is sponsored by www.betterhelp.com/TheBarn and presented to you by The Barn Media Group.

It's not like Material Issue is the most obscure or overlooked band in the history of Chicago music, but no matter how many power pop music fests get named after them (like the long running International Pop Overthrow festival — which takes its name from their classic debut album), they will always land towards the top of the list of the city's most underrated bands. And now there's a new documentary —“Out Of Time: The Material Issue Story”— that seeks to rectify that injustice. We talked to drummer Mike Zelenko about the love the band's been getting at the recent sold out Q&As for the movie, as well as his experiences recording in Scott's hometown at the Shoes studio, going to high school with Mike O'Connell, opening the Replacements' final show, Michael Chapman, tuna subs, fucking Enuff Z'nuff, the aftermath of Jim Ellison's suicide, and Ted Ansani's legendary pompadour.

On this episode we talk to the long lens legend about his excellent photo book (HEAVY METRO: ACCESS ALL ERAS), shooting Motörhead (minus Fast Eddie), Lemmy's short shorts, the heyday of rock magazines, fake blood with Samhain vs. real blood with Iggy Pop, getting in on the ground floor with Metallica, Paul Natkin, the days of actually mailing shit, and Ben finally gets a good Enuff Z'nuff story. PLUS!: The guys have Oscar fever — so they're giving their picks for who will win, who should win, and who REALLY should win.

Since no other podcast has done it, we're back this week to review the recent Creatures Fest event that took place in Nashville. Yes, we're totally being sarcastic. A lot of our friends in the podcast world attended this KISS-related event over Memorial Day weekend and Aaron Camaro was no exception. This is a special free episode of The Torpedo Dudes; a KISS podcast from Decibel Geek that appears exclusively on Patreon. If you like what you here and want to hear more, subscribe to be a DBG VIP at www.patreon.com/decibelgeek. You'll get future episodes as well as over 100 hours of archived material. This event was headlined by former KISS members Ace Frehley, Peter Criss, Bruce Kulick, and Vinnie Vincent. Rounding out the lineup were rock mainstays such as Enuff Z'nuff, Vixen, and Pretty Boy Floyd as well as younger talent such as Kore Rozzik and Sisters Doll. Additionally, several special events took place including performances by Kuarantine, Minefield, an All Star jam, and an Unplugged pool party. Throw in vinyl and merch vendors as well as meet and greets and it seems like a cool event for KISS fans. So, did it live up to the hype?In this episode, Aaron shares his thoughts and memories on Creatures Fest from the atmosphere to the vendors, to the guests and, especially, the performances. Ace Frehley and Peter Criss reunited on stage for one of the nights, Bruce Kulick headlined the closing ceremonies but it was Vinnie Vincent's performance that seemed to grab the most attention; for a variety of reasons. What were our thoughts? You'll have to listen to find out. You'll get the on-the-ground review from Aaron and Chris gives his take from the peanut gallery (ie. Youtube videos). We hope you enjoy Torpedo Dudes 4 All (Creatures Fest Review) and SHARE with a friend!Contact Us!Rate, Review, and Subscribe in iTunesJoin the Facebook Fan PageFollow on TwitterFollow on InstagramE-mail UsSubscribe to our Youtube channel!Support Us!Buy a T-Shirt!Donate to the show!Stream Us!Stitcher RadioSpreakerTuneInBecome a VIP Subscriber!Click HERE for more info!Comment BelowDirect Download
