Have you ever wanted to just quit your job and go on an endless golf trip, traveling around the states, playing the best courses, hanging out with golfers from all over the country, golfing with celebrities, and doing it all in a pimped out RV? If you said yes, you basically just described the RGV Tour and the life of our guest, Patrick Koenig. The post The RGV Tour: Living in an RV Down by the Golf Course with Patrick Koenig appeared first on 18STRONG.
In this episode, we spoke with the founder of the RGV Tour, Patrick Koenig. On January 31, 2018, Patrick set out in his appropriately named “recreational golf vehicle” to play as much golf as humanly possible in every U.S. state and raise money for the First Tee in greater Seattle. Listen in on our conversation and see why Patrick's refreshing take on golf makes him one of our favorite people in the game.
Patrick Koenig took every golfers dream and turned it into his reality. A little over 8 months ago, he quit his job, bought an RV, and set out across the country with the goal of playing as much golf with as many people as possible. He's played 285 rounds with over 600 people throughout nearly 35 states. In the process, he's also raised $12,000 for the First Tee of Greater Seattle. Patrick talks golf, why he's doing what he does, and the deep impact the game has.
