The Bag Drop: Untold Stories in Golf podcast is a fantastic addition to the world of golf podcasts. As someone who only recently got into podcasts, I have been blown away by the quality and content of this show. One standout episode was the interview with Grant, where his genuine love for the game shines through. His passion and extensive knowledge of golf make for an engaging and informative listen. I am definitely going to support Eagles and Arrows after hearing Grant's story.
Another episode that I thoroughly enjoyed was the interview with Marcus Yado. It was fascinating to hear about his background and how he ended up playing at Torrey Pines in 2018. The host did a great job of delving into Marcus's story and providing insight into his experiences on the course.
One aspect of the podcast that could be improved is the audio quality. There were moments where it was difficult to hear Dr. Patrick during his interview, which made it challenging to fully grasp all of the information he was sharing. However, this minor issue does not detract from the overall value of the podcast.
In conclusion, The Bag Drop: Untold Stories in Golf is a must-listen for any golf enthusiast. The hosts do an excellent job of bringing on guests with unique backgrounds and experiences within the sport, providing listeners with fascinating stories that they may not have heard before. Despite some audio issues, this podcast stands out as a valuable resource for golf fans looking to dive deeper into the world of their favorite sport.

NewClub > https://www.newclub.golf NV5 Invitational Presented by Old National Bank > https://nv5invitational.com/ Summary The Professor quizzes Matt on his first in-person experience with the LIV golf league. They talk about the logistics of attending the event, the curated fan experience, and the contrast in atmosphere to the PGA Tour's (and adversary but future partner?). Matt shares his observations about the fan engagement activities, the music, the fireworks, and designated areas for kids. Overall, Matt describes the event as "a spectacle" and highlights the unique aspects of the experience. The fan experience at LIV Golf is focused on creating an immersive, party-like atmosphere rather than solely on great golf shots. The walk-up music, live music stages, and the Birdie Shack contribute to the ruscus environment. The team aspect is real and a key component of the fan experience, with fans fully buying into their chosen team. However, focusing on the party atmosphere may lead to a short-term interest, and LIV Golf will need to find ways to keep fans engaged in the long term. The golf itself felt unserious, with distractions and a lack of focus on the shots. Some players embraced the fan interaction, while others seemed visibly perturbed. The conversation explores the potential future of LIV golf events and their impact on the sport of golf. The hosts discuss the concept of team golf and its potential to attract new fans and create a more engaging experience. They also touch on the role of meritocracy in professional golf and the need for a balance between entertainment and the integrity of the game. The conversation raises ethical questions about the involvement of foreign entities in the sport and the potential consequences of prioritizing profit over the values of golf.
