The set was recorded at Culture Box in Copenhagen and consists of minimal grooves, dub, and breaks, featuring tracks from Techu, KiRiK, Silat Beksi, mtps, Djosh, and many more. Born in '93 and raised in Romania, Geroge discovered his passion for underground music in 2012 after attending numerous events in Bucharest and a couple of festivals in Romania. Inspired by artists like Ion Ludwig, Petre Inspirescu, Priku, Takashi Himeoka, Barac, Herodot, and Afriqua, he started playing music in 2018, improving with every set while creating interesting and diverse vibes. Geroge likes to engage his audience with sets that have a storytelling nature, strong and groovy basslines, crispy claps, and intricate background sounds that control the mood he wants to create. He is interested in finding the groove with his music and mainly works with Minimal Techno, Micro House, Acid House, and Breakbeat. Apart from his sets for events or different label podcasts, he enjoys setting up a specific mood while playing music and, for this reason, is continually developing his podcast series like GRV (Groove Series), TRP (Trip Series), and soon-to-appear DRK (Dark Series). He has played music at underground events in Romania and at one of the editions of the Pe Coclauri festivals. Since moving to Denmark in 2020, he has hosted multiple private events and been invited to play music in Copenhagen, with his sets available to listen to on his SoundCloud profile. At the end of 2020, he created the group "Minimal Denmark" to spread his love for the music he enjoys and developed the project "MDKrom," which focuses on organizing events in different locations in Copenhagen, Denmark. At the forefront of this scene is Yamen & EDA. Friends since childhood, the pair possess an almost telepathic understanding behind the decks and in the studio, a way of working that's brought them to the attention of some of contemporary house and techno's most renowned imprints and dancefloors. Having officially kicked off as a duo in 2011, Yamen & EDA's ascendency has been an impressive one. Theirs is a story however, that goes much further back. Raised on a solid musical diet of minimal house and techno, the pair's formative years were spent on the many dancefloors of the south of France, experiences that still inspire their music to this very day. Best friends and ardent musical lovers with a penchant for similar styles and techniques, it was only ever a matter of time before Yamen & EDA solidified their friendship through music. Quickly getting down to business in the studio, their inaugural releases hinted at great promise, eventually bringing them to the attention of One Records boss, Adam Shelton. Always keen to foster fledgling talent, Shelton has signed numerous Yamen & EDA releases to his imprint and even had the boys join him at One Records showcases in London at fabric, Sonar in Barcelona and at Below in Birmingham. The relationship is one that's since brought the pair to the attention of numerous other labels, with Earlydub and LAATE among those who've housed their talents. What's more, their music has been played along the way by some of the scene's foremost players, with Raresh, Petre Inspirescu and Apollonia all lending their support. 2018, however, is the year that Yamen & EDA are set to go it alone courtesy of their own Maison Mere label. A vinyl-only affair that kicked off recently courtesy of the auspicious ‘Retrospect' EP, the label promises to promote a wide range of contrasting electronic sounds. “A platform to collect and release music without any limits”, it's indicative of an altogether exciting new chapter in the already emphatic careers of Yamen & EDA. With further releases to come on John Dimas' always on-point Elephant Moon label as well as a return to One Records in the works, 2018 already looks set to be a defining year for one of France's most exciting duos. Then with that in mind, I perform according to whether do I imagine I am playing early in the night or during a peak-time set, afterhour, etc. For this set I pictured myself playing a warm-up set at Casa Gracia where I had the honour to play and also is one of my favourite clubs in the city. This place was a former bank basement in Barcelona's city centre, although nowadays it is part of an hotel. The dance floor was quite small, surrounded by sofas and it had just one bar. The dj booth was facing the bar, and behind it you could find through the big windows an interior terrace for smokers. Lighting was warm, with dimmed lights, so that the atmosphere there was quite intimate although fast-paced dancers enjoyed as well :) About Parea About yourself: I am Marc from Barcelona. I started djing when I was 15 and I have played under my real name and other aliases since then. Around two years ago, I decided to start a new project under the alias Parea, which is more focused on tech-house and minimal. Artist biography: Dj, producer and one of Barcelona's rising artists yet to get discovered. However Parea is no stranger to the local clubbing scene. He has played in some of the most known venues in the city such as Elrow, City Hall or Casa Gracia. He started mixing while still a teenager and since then he has grown and matured his sound both as a producer and a dj. His sound can be defined as minimal-house, but it's more than that often moving between different subgenres of house and techno. Best known for keeping the party going on for long hours, Parea has proven his creativity not only behind the decks, but also as a producer. His first release on Bandcamp has received good feedback and support. He published podcasts on Tanzgemeinschaft Magazine, Grainy Unknown Artist series, Sonica.es and Pineal Barcelona. Venue: LÄRM Budapest YouTube: https://youtu.be/J6QKcjBk11Y Jay Bliss (Stomping Grounds, Sunrise - RO) Jay Bliss is Iulian Cazan, a Bucharest-based DJ-producer. He became involved with music just before the turn of the Millennium. Romania, at this time, was still in post-communist transformation and an underground music scene was just beginning to bubble. Growing up in Sibiu, Transylvania, Iulian organised underground mobile raves for over two years. It didn’t take long for him to learn to DJ and earn himself a residency at Chill Out, a 300- capacity venue that quickly developed a cult status across Romania. He continued playing there all night long each Wednesday until 2008, becoming a well-known and widely respected selector on home soil. He’d also warm up for guests on the weekend provided he wasn’t booked elsewhere. It was a formative part of his career. During this time, Iulian also started Electrique Boutique with Markus Homm. Opening in 2004, it became one of the country’s first ever record stores — though it struggled because the scene was very much in its infancy. There were not many DJs in Romania and only a few of them were into buying records. It closed down in 2007. Yet it proved to be a valuable experience. Using this musical knowledge and the connections he developed, Iulian continued DJing and won various awards along the way. He began travelling outside of Romania around 2006, and he continues to play through Europe and the Americas today, showcasing a sound that sits somewhere between house and techno, with strong Detroit roots. He is signed to the Sunrise Booking agency. Iulian began experimenting with production in the late ‘90s while studying computer science. By 2005 he had started to take music production “seriously,” and his first release landed in 2008 as Hermannstadt Collective — a collaboration with Mihai Popoviciu and ToyGUN. His debut solo EP landed soon thereafter on Smoke City Music, presenting Iulian’s deep and organic sound. Further releases have since arrived thick and fast, including a 2012 EP featuring a Petre Inspirescu remix and a 2017 LP titled ‘Vrăjitorul din Orz.’ The six-tracker was the result of a “production spree” inspired by a two-year spell during which Cazan sought fresh inspiration. “I just felt like I was doing the same thing over and over again,” he explains. His 2016 ‘Paloșul’ EP as Iovan Iorgovan was written around the same period. Elsewhere, Iulian runs the Stomping Grounds label and the Vade Mecum sub-label. The former is focused on “timeless music,” hence it sees around only one release per year. In contrast, Vade Mecum is more dynamic and free-flowing. https://soundcloud.com/jaybliss https://www.facebook.com/jaybliss.ro/

The show was pre-recorded as the British General Election results came out on Thursday. So the first hour is anti-Tory reggae and punk classics, mostly from the heyday of political punk, otherwise known as The Thatcher Years. The plan was a full two hours, but then technological gremlinism (the internet died) meant a sudden change of plan and a much more mellow, improvised, second half. Enjoying the show? "2 hours of hypnotic grooves steming from highly repetitive loops colored by stern synths, all in all laying down dark atmospheres...including tracks from DeWalta, Sepp, Petre Inspirescu, Thomas Melchior, Kaitaro and many other great producers. " Born in Paris on the 14th of January 1996, Întuneric aka Morning Glory got acquainted with underground Electronic Music at the age of 14, listening to the Minimal of James Holden and tripping on Goa Trance. A year after, he became a party animal, frequenting the Rex Club and bearing witness to the inception of Concrete. In January 2014, Carl bought his first 12"s in Berlin. Since then, he’s been a vinyl junkie, always eager to latch some more wax. For SoundRoom Bucharest, he offers a vinyl only podcast full of Micro-house / Minimal : the first hour is dedicated to dark atmospheres, whereas sun shines in the second part of the set. I'm just a boy whose intentions are good. 2. Just randomly, really. I've always wanted to be involved with music one way or another and DJing was a quick remedy. Confident solely in controversy, Anestie only stands still in the utmost moments of insanity, as if for emphasis. Born in Athens, Greece, on a rainy day * in the long forgotten 80's, Anestie to his mom, always had an innate and almost unbearable itch for music. At the age of nine, his dad sponsored the purchase of his first vinyl, Deep Purple's Made in Japan. "Growing up with 70's and 80's rock sparked a lifestyle of not caring much," he admits, but it also made him quickly realize his love for music. Unable to play any instruments, DJing became the quick remedy he was searching for. From then on, while gigging with the likes of Rhadoo, Petre Inspirescu, Kassem Mosse, Cabanne and everybody in between and live appearances in the UK, Japan, Mexico, USA, France , a guest mix for Nic Fanciulli's Worldwide Sounds prestigious radio show, Anestie started showing his abilities to the world.
