Klemen Cezar je vse bolj uveljavljeni »repar«. Pred štirimi leti je na odru »Stične mladih« opozoril nase in navdušil. Tovrstno glasbo rad posluša že od rosno mladih let. Všeč mu je moč besedila v njej. Rad bi v letu ali dveh posnel album, in, doda, nastopil tudi na radijskem festivalu. Deluje v skupini Debu ptč. Tudi v lokostrelstvu je žel uspehe, dosegal priznanja in najboljše uvrstitve, dlje časa pa zdaj deluje tudi kot mednarodni sodnik na lokostrelskih tekmovanjih po svetu. Po poklicu je kemijski inženir, premore pa tudi osebno kemijo ali karizmo, ki jo na odru uspe predati občinstvu. Je katehet, v oddaji je spregovoril tudi o svojih izkušnjah na poti življenja, oziroma na poti vnovičnega srečanja z Bogom.

Kako so letni časi, poljedelska opravila, religijski kulti in praznovanja, dnevna politika ter širitev imperija vplivali na podobo starorimskega koledarja, katerega dediči smo tudi mi danes?Kdo se je pravzaprav odločil, da se naše koledarsko leto začne s prvim januarjem in ne nemara s kakim drugim dnem? – Kakor v toliko drugih stvareh, smo sodobniki tudi v tem pogledu zadolženi pri starih Rimljanih. Julij Cezar je bil namreč tisti, ki je – to je bilo leta 46 pred Kristusom – določil, da se bo odtistihmal leto začenjalo s prvim januarjem. A zakaj natanko je sloviti rimski diktator izmed vseh izbral ravno ta datum? In zakaj neki je Cezar dve leti pred smrtjo sploh sklenil, da je dotedanji koledar treba spremeniti oziroma reformirati? Pa tudi: kako se je njegov koledar – v zgodovino se je seveda vpisal kot julijanski – razlikoval od tistega, ki so ga Rimljani uporabljali prej? Iskanju odgovorov na ta in druga sorodna vprašanja, odgovorov, ki se tičejo dolge in razmeroma zapletene evolucije rimskega koledarja v počasnem teku stoletij od prvih kraljev do pozne republike, smo se posvetili v tokratnih – silvestrskih – Glasovih svetov, ko smo pred mikrofonom gostili klasičnega filologa in zgodovinarja, predavatelja antične zgodovine na koprski Fakulteti za humanistične študije ter predstojnika Inštituta za kulturno zgodovino ZRC SAZU, dr. This time it's another by one of my favorite designers in the TTRPG community, Midnight Melodies by Cezar Capacle.   In Midnight Melodies, you play as a jazz pianist confronted by the Grim Reaper themself after a night out playing, but there's a catch - you're immune to their touch. Hello and welcome to episode 74 of The DX Mentor - details about an upcoming IOTA DXPedition. I'm Bill, AJ8BHere is our guests story as presented by Bernie, W3UR: A team composed of Cezar (VE3LYC), Felipe (XQ7IR), and Johan (PA3EXX) plans to activate Pajaros Rocks, SA-100 between August 18th and the 23rd. These rocks are located in the north of Chile, about 100 km south of Iquique, in the vicinity of the fishermen's village of Caleta Lobos. One of these two rocks has a round shape with a diameter of just under 60 m, while the second one is oval in shape, about 60 by 30 m. Both rocks are very rugged, and landing can only be attempted by swimming to them and pacing against the waves. They also have very steep slopes, and host colonies of sealions and cormorants. Two reputed amateur radio teams attempted to land and operate from these rocks in 2018 and 2019, but their efforts were regretfully unsuccessful. Despite these setbacks, an independent project to bring Pajaros on the air continued to be pursued, but was initially postponed due to the covid pandemic, and then due to other DXpedition projects that emerged. Cezar and Johan carried out together several IOTA expeditions in the past. As such, they operated from Hershel (SA-031), Diego Ramirez (SA-097), Sandy (OC-294), and Escondida (SA-096). Escondida is a rather much similar rock to Pajaros, just but larger in size, about 100 x 35 m and not as steep. Consequently, we expect that the landing logistics and challenges in dealing with wildlife will be also similar. Felipe and Cezar will team up for the upcoming 3Y0K DXpedition to Bouvet, which is scheduled for February 2026. It was during their discussions on Bouvet that joining forces on Pajaros came into focus, and a concrete plan for the latter began to be developed. Together with Johan, they worked closely in planning how best to handle every single aspect of this project. It's Spooky October One-Shots time!   For the first of the three Halloween horror one-shots, Rene sits down with Troy from the DMs After Dark to play Wraithound by Cezar Capacle, an incredible Brazilian game designer whose philosophy I love so much, so it's very exciting to finally play one of his games on the podcast!   Wraithound is a zero-prep, GM-less game where you play ghost hunters of an ancient order, tasked with investigating and dealing with supernatural threats. Le Conseil présidentiel de transition (CPT) a changé de direction, avec l'architecte Leslie Voltaire qui en a pris la présidence tournante. La cérémonie de « passation de pouvoir » s'est déroulée en l'absence du président sortant, Edgard Leblanc Fils. Nous en parlons avec Gotson Pierre, directeur de l'agence Alterpresse. Selon Gotson Pierre, l'absence du président sortant montre les tensions qui traversent le CPT. Edgard Leblanc Fils avait refusé de signer l'arrêté de passation de pouvoir pour protester contre les trois membres du Conseil présidentiel - dont Leslie Voltaire - qui sont accusés de corruption par l'ancien président du Conseil d'administration de la Banque Nationale de Crédit. Le nouveau président du CPT a annoncé que le Conseil électoral provisoire (CEP), récemment formé et pour le moment incomplet, serait bientôt installé. Avec Gotson Pierre, nous évoquons également l'annonce du Premier ministre Garry Conille qui souhaite consolider « les forces de l'ordre pour combattre efficacement les gangs armés ». Aujourd'hui, il est question de la nouvelle stratégie de communication de Kamala Harris. Selon notre correspondant, l'actuelle vice-présidente « tente de combler une lacune qui lui a été souvent reprochée : celle de ne pas donner d'interview. Elle s'est exprimée hier soir lors d'une édition spéciale de la très regardée émission d'information 60 minutes sur CBS ». In 2010, Justin Maurer's band CLOROX GIRLS fell apart and he found himself living in his uncle's attic and working as a dental supply salesman in Long Beach, California. He was inspired after seeing James Carman's band IMAGES play a killer set at notorious longshoreman dive Harold's Place in San Pedro.  Harold's bartenders were known to deal trucker speed from behind the bar as well as brandish a sawed off shotgun if any of their patrons got out of line. Being the diviest of Pacific Avenue's drag of working class dive bars, they allowed locals to throw their own punk shows.  Justin made the pilgrimage across the Vincent Thomas Bridge to check out one of these shows and was blown away by IMAGES, a local band who took equal inspiration from late 70s LA punk as well as poppier UK punk like THE BUZZCOCKS.  The vocal harmonies were great and a particular lefty drummer who played his snare and floortom with his arms crossed - one James Carman - was singing lead vocals and backing vocals and harmonies in a way that caught Justin pleasantly off guard.  A few weeks later Justin bought a round of $1 beers for the IMAGES boys at Fern's, one of Long Beach's diviest on East 4th Street, but before taking their first sip they were chucked out by the doorman because every single member of IMAGES was all under 21.  Justin soon produced a music video for the boys (“Frustration”, directed by Vim Crony), and also asked James if he would be up for joining a new band.   Back in Long Beach, Justin and another new friend Cezar Mora, who had played in local bands THE SWITCHUPS and THE BAD MACHINE, were working on a project called LOS LONG BEACH BOYS, a Beach Boys cover band that sung in Spanish.  They hoped to rake in the big bucks at swap meets and lowrider car shows.  Translating and harmonizing an entire Beach Boys set in Spanish proved to be quite the challenge, and Justin and Cezar decided to write originals instead.   James invited his childhood friend Johnny Reyes to audition on bass at LA DRUGZ' first band practice at his parents' house in Carson.  The guys liked his yellow BUZZCOCKS t-shirt, his sense of humor and his mod hairstyle, so he was in.  They celebrated with homemade pancit and lumpia from James' mom. At practice, James mentioned that the best music was like a drug and the name LA DRUGS was pitched.  They looked it up and it seemed there was already a band called LA DRUGS from Boston. And they sucked. The boys decided to differentiate themselves by spelling it with a Z as an homage to THE PLUGZ.  LA DRUGZ began to gig around the South Bay, Orange County and Los Angeles playing spots like The Redwood, The Continental Room, Harold's, The Observatory, Alex's Bar and Vince Lombardi High School (VLHS). They recorded the OUTSIDE PLACE EP with Kid Kevin of CALIMUCHO  in San Pedro and approached Tim and Mark Janchar at HOVERCRAFT RECORDS in Portland, Oregon about releasing it.  The brothers dug it and said yes!  A westcoast tour was promptly arranged around the release of the record and would take the boys north to Sacramento, Oakland, San Francisco, Portland and Seattle.  In Seattle, Kurt Bloch of THE FASTBACKS joined them onstage for a raucous cover of “You're Gonna Miss Me” by 13th Floor Elevators.  The following year of 2015 took the boys out on the road with London's FAT WHITE FAMILY where they kicked off at storied L.A. Venue The Troubadour,  and toured all the way out to  Austin, Texas.  After ripping it up at the final show of their tour at The Chapel in San Francisco, both bands' vans were broken into at the Travel Lodge Motel on Market Street and Valencia where over $20K of gear was stolen along with both bands' suitcases of clothing.  FAT WHITE FAMILY flew back to the UK all wearing LA DRUGZ t-shirts which was the only clean item of clothing each member now owned.  The ALL BURNED DOWN EP was the followup and all things were quiet on the western front UNTIL NOW.   James Carman formed THE REFLECTORS,
