This week, like most, the Regular Joe’s got together and talked. At some point they got around to hitting the record button and that part, for better or worse, is preserved for posterity, and for you. Unless this is your first episode you’ll be unsurprised to hear they talked about stuff they’ve been watching, and stuff they look forward to seeing. There were also various references to Tom Cruise running (Random Topics). And, unless you have somehow managed to miss the last year they talk a bit about events that are not quite ready to resume as normal and at least one that will. Again, no great surprise, they also bought stuff this week (What’s In The Box) and they’ll tell you about that. And then even more stuff (RJ Picks) that, if you are as susceptible to suggestion as the Joe’s are you will probably end up buying as well. Lastly, because we are eight weeks into Marvel’s demonstration that there really are no hard and fast rules to how you spin a superhero yarn, they talk about the penultimate episode of WandaVison, or as the entire freakin internet calls it #WANDAVISION. Thanks for listening . . . and if you get a minute check out Barry’s Iron Man pictures and all the others at RegularJoes.com. They do this all for you. And not “you” in the general sense. We mean “you” personally. They are just those kinda guys.
Three years ago Jeff Bezos saved The Expanse from a premature death in the cold depths of space. As the fifth season (the second on Amazon Prime) wraps up the Regular Joes comment on this, in many ways, unique Sci Fi (no longer SyFi) show. The political thriller, action adventure, human drama, continues to deliver, while deviating slightly, from the novel series by James S. A. Corey ... which Tod references several times after promising not to. Watch it, read it, whatever. Great stuff. Alan Tudyk, who you may recall from Firefly, Rogue One and a gajillion other roles, is back in the Sci Fi saddle, sort of, in Resident Alien. This story of a lone Alien trapped on Earth has been told many times but never anything quite like this. Lastly, because no one who is watching can stop theorizing on what is actually happening on WandaVison, there is some more of that too. All this plus the usual Random Topics. Thanks for listening!
This past weekend roughly 92 million people sat through a bizarre event, involving several millionaires beating up each other to control an oblong ball, just to get a look at the new trailer for Marvel’s next Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Was it worth all that pain and suffering? Hell yes! After an interminable wait the MCU is back in all its shield throwing, Falcon flying, evil bad guy battling glory. And we have barely a month left to wait. Note: the full two minute version of the trailer is available online. If that’s not enough MARVEL, with episode 5 WandaVision crosses the halfway mark with still no explanation for the epic weirdness that has enveloped Westview, New Jersey. Who is responsible? Is Vision even really there? And .... the wrong Quicksilver WTF? All this plus What’s in the Box and the usual Round of Random Topics. Thanks for listening!
This week’s episode has a theme ... if you look really closely. In its fourth week (of nine) the decidedly odd puzzle pieces of Disney+’s first Marvel series WandaVision are coming together. What these clues reveal is still very much an open question. The only thing certain at this point is the Regular Joes are hooked and will be speculating along with everyone else. Stay tuned. Over the last seven plus years the Joes respective Hot Toys collections have swelled mightily. One might argue there is some bad influence at work here. In the last few weeks each of the host added at least one of the Daughters of Thanos to their respective shelves. In this episode’s conjoined What’s in the Box segment the Joes explain why they finally decided to give a home to these recently orphaned blue and green ladies. All this plus the usual Random Topics. Thanks for listening!
On this episode, the Regular Joes each discuss one of their favorite Science Fiction properties. Yeah, so you're thinking, how is that different from the previous 372 episodes right? Well, there was one rule...it couldn't be related to Star Trek or Star Wars in any way...so that added a level of complexity! What movies or shows did each host choose? Listen in to find out. Plus the usual helping of Random Topics and a round of What's in the Box. Thanks for listening!
Each year the Regular Joes gather to exchange gifts. And, like everything else in 2020, that did not quite happen as planned. Thus, nearly a month after the holiday, the Joes get together (safely distanced by several miles) and open presents they bought or made for each other. Yes, that is kinda odd. . .but it fits this week’s theme. After several long months of eager anticipation Disney+ just launched the first, of many, TV series based on characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. WandaVision, which places the Scarlet Witch (Wanda Maximoff) and Vision (just Vision) in a reality anchored in the conventions of 1950’s and 1960’s sitcoms. If that sounds odd, it is. Another Marvel series is called “What If,” WandaVision might have been called “What The. . .?” It’s very, very strange but is it good strange or bad strange the Regular Joes weigh in, and as usual, opinions vary. Oh, and there is also Random Topics. Thanks for listening!
Leftover, Random Topics from Tonight Feat. Kimmie Wealthy Sweet’N Low magnate Donald Tober leaps to his death from NYC apartment, California Man Dressed As Santa Gets Stuck In Power Lines, Going to Work Sick? Will it ever Happen again? We used to go to work sick all the time.
Star Trek the Next Generation came into its own in it’s third season. The Third season of original Star Trek gave us Turnabout Intruder and Spock’s Brain. As Star Trek Discovery wraps up its third season the regular Regular Joes, plus adjunct Joe Brian Mix, assess how the series fared. What worked, what didn’t? Did it serve it characters well? As this was the third major redirection in three years are we getting close to what we expect from in the flagship series from a streaming service that leaned heavily into this franchise? Lastly how does it hold up against the other two Trek series that aired this calendar year? We also have some Random Topics and a round of What’s in the Box. Because, well … the economy is not gonna bounce back on its own. Thanks for listening!
It doesn’t take much effort to rewatch a film like Goldfinger. It shows no commitment to cue up The Rock. What takes true dedication is committing 102 extremely long minutes to a film that you know Is going to be excruciatingly bad. This week the Regular Joes pay tribute to the late Sean Connery by watching the the 1974 John Boorman sci-fi/Fantasy film Zardoz for the latest installment of Disaster-Piece Theater. And, because misery loves company, they bring long-time friends Jim Bush and Derryl DePriest along for the ride. Please Note: the Regular Joes Podcast accepts no responsibility for any lasting psychological effects suffered by listeners who choose to watch this film. There’s also the usual Random Topics and an extra large helping of What’s in The Box. Thanks for listening!

The Regular Joes love props. The allure, realistic or otherwise, of owning a tangible piece of movie or television history is undeniable. This week the Joes check out The Stuff Dreams are Made Of, reputedly the first podcast dedicated to collecting screen used props, created by Hollywood writers David Mandel and Ryan Condal. While many of us dream of laying hands on some of the big screen’s holy grails these two guys have done it. There's also the usual Random Topics, a round of What’s in The Box, and Tod briefly forgets what month it is. Thanks for listening!
Astronauts have been the subject of TV shows going back to the space program’s origin. Many series have tried but few have captured and sustained audience interest. On the heels of Apple’s alternate history Apollo saga For All Mankind Disney+ takes a second pass at adapting Tom Wolfe’s The Right Stuff. Will this narrative of the formative years and indomitable men of NASA’s Mercury Program resonate with watchers today ... or is this just Mad Men in Space? The Joes check out the first three episodes, weigh in, and take a look back at the lengthy list of prior attempts to bring astronauts into American living rooms ... or where ever it is we now stream. There’s also Random Topics, a round of What's in the Box and a very Barry tribute to a recently passed legend you will want to check out In the October gallery at regularjoes.com. Thanks for listening!

In this time when folks are divided on all sorts of issues it’s good to know there are still some things that everybody can agree on, like Star Trek. Or not. This week the regular Regular Joes add Brian Mix to the ... er, mix, to take a first pass at the 3rd season premiere of Star Trek Discovery. Easily the most controversial of the Trek offerings, Discovery returns after having jumped nearly a thousand years beyond the Final Frontier as we know it. Is it a fresh start or more of the same? Between the four of the them the opinions range from optimistic to profound dislike. There’s also a round of What’s in The Box and the usual round of Random Topics. Thanks for Listening!
Surprising as this may be, we usually do have a plan for each episode. Nevertheless, every so often the events of the day take precedent. This week, all to suddenly, and far too soon, we learned of the passing of Eddie Van Halen, which made most other things seem trivial. As we all await The Mandalorian’s return we take a few minutes to discuss a pair of recent videos that look at what went into creating the physical model and motion capture apparatus used for the Disney+ series. In an era where CGI is easier and cheaper an effort like this is worth paying attention to. There’s also the usual Random Topics, a round of What’s in the Box and a Hot Toys Minute where the Joes catch up on a pile of recent acquisitions. And lastly, one of the hosts revisits Star Trek: Lower Decks with surprising results ... particularly to him. Check out pics of all the stuff and links for the videos at regularjoes.com. Thanks for listening!
It’s pretty clear the fall TV season is not. And it seems this is just one more aspect of the new normal. Kind of like kids going to school in their living rooms, protests in the streets, and presidential debates that look like an episode of Jerry Springer. If all of this makes you long for a simpler time you are not alone. This week the Regular Joes set the Wayback Machine to September 1973 and take a look at TV Guide’s (once) eagerly anticipated Fall Preview Issue. That Fall saw the debut of an amazing number of series that went on to earn their place in the American cultural zeitgeist. Including Tod’s favorite from the era, a series that holds an unbreakable ratings record, and several you never heard of. If “We can rebuild him.” “Goodnight, John Boy.” and “Hi, Bob.” evoke memories, you either lived through the 1970’s or you spent a lot of time watching TVLand. If that does not do it for you there’s always the usual Random Topics and a round of What’s in the Box, where Barry and Tod each have a new Hot Toys figure and Dave has a new tool. Yes, that may also sound like a rerun but it’s not. Thanks for listening!
What's up listener?! In the first episode Luis discusses the purpose of the podcast, future plans for it, and the excitement he has towards it. Thanks for tuning in.
This week the Regular Joes each sample one of the recent, noticeably sparse, Fall TV offerings and give their recommendations to you and each other. First up Barry drinks the Kool Aid with HBO’s The Vow, a nine part documentary series that looks into the NXIVM cult that drew in many including several familiar actors. Next Dave heads to Mars with Hilary Swank in the Netflix series Away. If there’s a target demographic for this most recent space program drama it really should include Dave ... but does it? Lastly Tod goes even further into the cosmos with a pair of Android parental figures, a handful of human embryos, and an Ark full of frozen religious zealots in HBO’s Raised by Wolves. With a formula like that and Ridley Scott on board how can you go wrong? There’s also a round of What’s in The Box and the usual round of Random Topics. Thanks for listening!
We like Robots. Frankly, who doesn’t. Robots have been a persistent presence in pop culture since Fritz Lang’s Metropolis (1927). What is the allure of these mechanical/artificial men, and women? Why do we so easily identify with these characters who often have more in common with a home appliance than the human race? What makes a good robot good and a bad robot terrifying? To answer these questions and many more the Regular Joes bring in robot maker Brian Mix and one-time Droid manufacturer Derryl DePriest. Note: we also run down the lengthy list of female androids ... because that’s a thing. There’s also a round of Robot Related Show, and Tell the usual Random Topics, as well first reactions to the Mandalorian Season 2 trailer ... which contains fully 100% less robots than the previous season’s trailer. Thanks for listening!
One of the Joes favorite shows from last year, Amazon Prime’s The Boys, the dark, and often just wrong, adaptation of the Garth Ennis comic about Superhero’s as corporate created and controlled celebrities is back for its sophomore season. For this week’s podcast Tod forced Barry and Dave to watch THREE ENTIRE EPISODES. Curiously, Amazon’s decision to drop the first three episodes at launch and then serve up the remaining shows weekly has generated more buzz than the series. Which is amazing given that one episode depicts the killing of an endangered species as a sight gag. Go figure. The guys also talk about the just released trailer for Dennis Villeneuve’s Dune, as well as past efforts at this challenging property. There’s also What’s in the Box and the usual Round of Random Topics. Thanks for listening! And keep wearing that mask. It’s a good look on you, really.

Do you remember how Leonardo da Vinci went back and touched up the Mona Lisa? Or how about when Mozart decided The Magic Flute could be just a bit more magical? Yeah, those things never happened. Nevertheless, Star Wars the ground breaking film by George Lucas, has been periodically tweaked and revised by someone who is, arguably, the same guy who created it. You can no longer see the film that debuted in 1977. Not officially anyway. Fortunately several dedicated (or possibly obsessed) fans have undertaken very different approaches to recovering, recreating, and restoring the beloved film. This week the Regular Joes are joined by robot builder and Star Wars historian Brian Mix as they look at three efforts to recapture the glory that was Star Wars. While they are on the whole “Star” thing they also roll out a new segment, Disasterpiece Theater, in which they take a look back at somewhat lesser film efforts. This week it’s Star Crash (1978) which is weak on plot but delivers plenty of Caroline Monroe and David Hasselhoff. Theres also What’s on My Workbench and the usual Random Topics. Thank for listening, and May the Edits be with You!
We really couldn't think of what to talk about that wouldn't be too controversial or boring, so we decided to try something new haha.
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been around almost as long as The Regular Joes Podcast. Last week, after seven wildly inconsistent seasons, the serially reanimated Agent Phil Coulson and his stalwart squad of Agents, former Agents, and not quite Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. finally bid adieu. It’s been a bumpy ride. But, for those dedicated, or just stubborn, watchers who stuck it out the 12 episode 7th season provided some of the best moments the series has offered. If you haven’t watched season 7 this episode does contain some SPOILERS, but hopefully the Joes (rare) unanimous endorsement will inspire you to finish the ride. Ok, so Lower Decks, week two ... yeah, what can we say. We promise we won’t be updating you again on this until something changes. So maybe never. There’s also Random Topics and What’s in the Box, because even if you aren’t going out you can still order stuff. Thanks for listening!
It’s a sort of “catch up“ week for the Regular Joe’s. Last week the episode was postponed due to a 5 day long power outage for one of the hosts. On the plus side Dave is now able to personally recommend a 4500 lbs (approx. curb weight) battery charger. And, since packages have been stacking up, they catch up on What’s in the Box, throw in some RJ Picks, and even a round of What’s on my Workbench. Last week CBS All Access streamed the first animated Star Trek episode since 1974. Was Lower Decks worth the wait? Opinions vary ... widely. While humorous aspects have always existed in Trek, intentional or otherwise, this is the first effort at creating a comedy (allegedly) in the Trek Universe. Clearly this show boldly goes where no one has gone before. The question is, exactly how many people really want to go there? All this plus the usual Random Topics and we are back on track. . . at least until the next natural disaster strikes. Thanks for listening!
The Old Guard is one of the hottest flix on NetFlix right now. Based on a comic by Greg Rucka and Leandro Fernández, it stars Charlize Theron, with Chiwwtel Ejiofor (Mordo in Doctor Strange) and a lot of other people you will only sort of recognize, like the bad guy …. who was Dudley Dursley in the Harry Potter films. Like a bazillion or so other people the Regular Joes checked it out and give you their take. Note while they initially make an effort to steer clear of SPOILERS that kind of falls apart quickly. Oh, and while they’re at it they spoil the comic too. Which, paradoxically, Tod did not read first. Also, the Wand Company, the people who brought you a bunch of Sonic Screwdrivers, and a superb Star Trek TOS phaser and Communicator, are back with a product announcement that is both unique and exciting for Trek fans. There’s also the usual Random Topics and yet another round of What’s in the Box because, frankly, these guys can’t help themselves. Thanks for listening! And remember, heroes wear masks.
Another installment of Random Topics our host wants to touch on. Venting, exploring and explaining from a common sense approach.
This week the Joes acknowledge the 40th Anniversary of Saturn 3, Their second favorite Sci Fi film with Farrah Fawcett in the cast (Note: there were only two.) Conceived in the mind of visionary Star Wars set designer John Barry, Saturn 3, underwent management changes mid stream resulting in a what the late Roger Ebert described as “awesomely stupid, totally implausible,” and “a shameful waste of money.” And yet the Joes committed 1 hour and 36 minutes of their lives to it anyway. Go figure. They also check out the trailer/preview of Star Trek: Lower Decks the first Trek Toon since 1974, which humorously goes where the long lived franchise has never gone before. There’s also a round of What’s in the Box and the usual Random Topics. Thanks for listening!
You know how the last several weeks episodes have been very focused and thematic, yeah well, this one is not that. With no particular agenda the Regular Joes catch up on Random Topics, bid adieu to Sir Ian Holm and the guy who thought putting nipples on the bat suit was a good idea. Then there’s some Shirt Up, because that’s still apparently a thing, and a round of What’s in The Box. In lieu of any other plan the hosts then catch up on projects they have been working on in their recovered daily commute time as well as several they plan to take on. That’s about it. Ok, so there's also some morbid talk about what happens to your stuff when you die. Seriously, have a plan. Thanks for listening!
Auctions can be very dangerous. Back in March The Prop Store held an auction that included screen used items from the JJ Abrams, or Kelvin universe, series of Star Trek films. While we understand these films aren’t universally embraced by Star Trek fans, they are one of the rare things that all three Regular Joe’s agree they like. Which makes an auction like this, yes, very dangerous. For this week’s What’s in the Box our hosts dive into the long-awaited box of Treky goodness they bid on months ago and discover a few interesting surprises along the way. Also, they take a look back at the films from that series and assess how they hold up, and, in some cases, where they went wrong, as well as where, if anywhere, they should go from here. And, as always there’s the usual Random Topics. Live long and prosper ... or spend money as the case my be. Thanks for listening!
This week The Regular Joes dive into a duo of new series and a returning show that at one time was an RJP favorite…The CW’s Star Girl, TNT’s Snow Piercer and ABCs Marvels Agents of Shield. Did the new shows spark any interest? Will the Joes keep watching or give up after the pilot? And how does the premiere of the final season of Shield hold up to the best and worst of the show? We also serve up our typical feast of Random Topics and wrap things up with a discussion of our latest collectible deliveries with a little segment we call What’s in the Box. Thanks for Listening, and please Stay Safe!
In this week’s episode the Regular Joe’s take a look at the wrap ups of two very different premium cable series. After nine years and eight seasons, Showtime’s Homeland takes a bow. At this point fans who have stuck with this show have spent nearly a decade with Clare Dane’s bipolar CIA operative Carrie Mathison. We’ve been with her through highs, and lows, and some even lower lows. Nevertheless, despite gaping plot holes, storylines that strain the very limits of credulity, and lots of exceptionally bad life choices, we will miss this Sunday staple espionage/action drama. In hindsight it really is one of those shows that holds up best the less you think about it. On the flipside HBO’s Westworld just finished its third season. Three years in and we still haven’t got a freaking clue what’s going on. This season they brought in Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul, and even he never seemed to have any more idea what was happening then we did. Sure, It’s gorgeous to look at, but at some point is the show supposed to make sense? With a fourth season already announced it’s hard to imagine where they go from here. Honestly, we probably won’t know better even after we’ve seen it. We also have a round of What’s in the Box, our weekly update on who will be in the Mandalorian next season as well as other Random Topics. Thanks for listening and stay safe!
This week the Regular Joes have a full house as the regular Regulars are joined by Derryl DePriest and Brian Mix to observe the annual Star Wars holiday/marketing ploy. They have a lot to talk about as Disney+ has just wrapped up the Clone Wars for a third and seemingly final time. Warning, there will be SPOILERS, but really, if you haven’t watched Clone Wars previously nothing they talk about will make any sense to you anyway blah blah blah Ahsoka, blah blah blah Darth Vader, blah blah blah, repeat. Then, because Star Wars is the one topic about which all fans agree, they engage in a series a spirited discussions about their favorite characters, Droids and other stuff, as well as lengthy prognostications on the impact of 40 plus years of narrative on two of Star Wars most iconic figures. There’s also What’s in The Box, and a sampling of Random Topics. Disclaimer: a not insignificant amount of alcohol was consumed during this episode resulting in a somewhat rambling discourse and at least one ill advised criticism of J.J. Abrams. Thanks for listening, Say Safe, and May The Fourth Be With You!

Ok, so whether you have watched a single episode, or seen all 787 installments in the Star Trek franchise, it will come as no surprise that everyone has an opinion about the quintessential American Sci Fi series. This week the Regular Joes wade in to the nerdiest of nerd exercises and run down their individual top ten lists of favorite characters from the eight TV shows and three film series. As you would expect, there is some agreement, some disagreement and a few surprises at who leaves who out of their respective lists. And, just because the world isn’t already surreal enough, the Joes each pick their favorite song from 1980’s footnote Band Survivor. They also cover the usual Random Topics, and once again take the cardboard plunge with What’s in the Box. Thanks for listening and Stay safe!

The first season of CBS All Access’ Star Trek Picard has wrapped and the Regular Joe’s call in their west coast correspondent (and positronics expert) Brian Mix to help assess the series. This is Trek unlike anything we have ever seen, but is it good Trek? Opinions vary. You will be surprised at who rates it the lowest. They also take a post series look at Apple TV’s For all Mankind, the alternate history take on NASA’s Apollo Space Program era. They also toss in a few Random Topics, and work in a round of Space and/or Star Trek themed Show and Tell. Thanks for listening and stay safe!

This week the Regular Joes take a look at the first episodes of three very different series airing right now. First up is season Eight of Showtime’s Homeland. Is it worth returning “home” if you, like so many, dropped the long running spy thriller after, or during the abysmal 6th season? Then we move on to the oddly close to home reality of Epix War of The Worlds (not to be confused with (The War of The Worlds.) does this British/French updating of H.G. Wells most adapted story do a better job than it’s immediate predecessor? An hour in do we care? Lastly we return to HBO’s Westworld for a third season premiere that bears little resemblance to what has gone before. Unless having no freaking idea what is happening now qualifies as a theme. All this plus Random Topics, What’s in the Box’s and your opportunity to see a lovingly rendered painting that haunted Dave’s childhood at regularJoes.com Thanks for Listening!
With not much else to do but watch TV, the Regular Joes share some of their recommendations for a good Binge Watch, while practicing the art of social distancing of course. As usual, they don’t entirely agree with each other, but what fun would it be if they did! All this, plus the usual round of Random Topics and What’s in the Box. As always, thanks for listening, and stay safe out there!
The Rolling Stone just released a list of the top 50 films of the 1970’s. Does it make our hosts grumpy old men to say people who were not even born in the 1970s probably shouldn’t be picking out the best films from that era? Needless to say the Regular Joe’s disagree. Truthfully, they don’t entirely agree with each other, but at least they didn’t try to shoehorn a bunch of pretentious crap in their list the way the Rolling Stone writers did. They also take time out to discuss the final Black Widow trailer. SPOILERS no one takes issue with that. There’s also a round of What’s in the Box and the usual Random Topics. Thanks for listening, and stay safe out there!
In his five plus decades of existence G.l. Joe action figures have stood as tall as 12 inches, and measured as little as 3 3/4”. In his newest incarnation, depending on your frame of reference, he has either grown, or shrunk, to 6 inches. This week the Regular Joes, all of whom remain 1.1 scale, take a look at these new Joes as well as several other offerings announced at the 2020 Toy Fair. What did they find interesting, and what seems to be missing among this year’s offerings? As usual they find time for Random Topics, toss in a round of What’s in the Box, and ... for no additional charge, give you a bonus Show and Tell segment. Hard to believe they recorded this episode with little or no plan. You can check out pics of our What’s in the Box and Show and Tell items at regularJoe’s.com. Thanks for listening!
Dave is taking to the road and Barry’s house is in the throughs of reconstruction so the Regular Joes recorded this week’s episode earlier on Sunday morning then Tod usually gets up. What ends up coming together is a pretty free flowing discussion about the nature of films today. Which seems appropriate given that it’s recorded on the day the Academy Awards are handed out. What does winning an Oscar really mean for an actor or filmmaker? And, in an era where seemingly every property with the slightest hint of nostalgia has been revisited or reimagined is there actually anything left? Or are they just going to keep re-creating Spiderman, Planet of the Apes, and Charlie’s Angels once each decade or so forever? All this plus the usual Random Topics and a round of What’s in the Box where we learn both practice and hidden value of gaffers tape. Thanks for listening. And you can check out pics of our What’s in the Box items at RegularJoe’s.com.
Each year at this time the most skilled competitors take to the field to display their prowess to the largest of audiences. The question on everyone’s minds is, who will ultimately prevail and who will leave forgotten. Oh, and apparently there’s also a football game that day too. In this episode the Regular Joes review the best of this year’s Super Bowl commercials to decide who really won the day. Now that everyone’s caught up we set aside a few minutes for some family time as we dive into the second season of Netflix’ Lost in Space reboot. We also slip in the usual Random Topics and give an update on what we are working on, and with, in What’s on our Workbench. You can check out pics of our Workbench stuff at and, as always, Thanks for Listening.
The wait is over. 18 years after he last took the captain’s chair Jean Luc Picard is back as Patrick Stewart reprises his most iconic role. Clearly, with a 90 something protagonist, Star Trek: Picard, on CBS All Access, is a very different kind of Trek. As the Regular Joes assess this newest entry in Gene Roddenberry’s universe they touch on the most recent Short Trek Children off Mars, take look at the IDW comic Picard: Countdown, and rundown which episodes and films from the 5 decades of Star Trek offerings best set the stage for this new series. Also the usual Random Topics. As always, thanks for listening!

As the Regular Joes get ready to close the book on 2019 they take a last pass at several of their favorite things from the year that was. Among these are Films, TV Shows, Books, Tools, Gadgets, Prop Replicas, and yes Action Figures. So, pretty much what they have spent the last year, and the last 320 episodes, talking about. Also, as it is likewise the end of the decade, they each pick one film from the 2010’s that merits recognition for it significance to the era. There’s also Random Topics and a round of What’s in the Box. Happy New Year and Thanks for listening! Check out pictures of our What’s in the Box items at RegularJoes.com.
