A twist on the typical episode! This is something I did two years back with Episode 23 (Reverse Podcast Episode with my then 7-year-old daughter where we talked about marketing) and so I decided to do it again but have a different flavor. I brought on my 9-year-old daughter to ask her some questions around creativity...and I answer those same questions. It's so fun to compare how we answer. The result is sometimes hilarious and always super cute. In this episode we cover: What does being creative mean to you; How do you know that something is creative; What are some things you do that help you be more creative; When have you been the most creative; Anything else that we each want to share. Prior to this podcast Keara and I were celebrating at the base club with many of her friends and co-workers because she was just selected to the rank of Master Sergeant (MSgt). MSgt is a big step in an enlisted member's career and she is very deserving of being selected. In episode #3, I said that Keara will be my boss one day and I can say it with even more certainty now that her and I are the same rank. Episode #3 was one of my favorites because the entire time I was talking to a friend about stories and topics that we both enjoy. It's been a month since our first podcast together and over the last few weeks she floated the idea of another podcast where her and I switch roles. I was immediately open to the idea and couldn't say no when she wanted to do it the same evening as her MSgt release party. For the first time in any of my podcasts, we had a live audience of two people sitting in the same room as us watching my guest and I talk. Talking to Keara was just as fun this time for me as it was last time. I did much more talking on this podcast than any of my podcasts before this. Keara got me to realize that my favorite color is blue, my favorite animal is a dog, and that everybody knows I don't like making plans… I really, really, don't like making plans. She even had me build my perfect air traffic controller at the end which is a question I like to do with all of my air traffic control guests. Keara, thanks for letting me feel what it's like to be on the other side of my own podcast. You should start your own podcast when you get to England, you'd be good at it. Congrats on making MSgt and please invite me to your Chief Induction ceremony in six years.

Are you ready for this? A twist on the typical Anna + guest format! One of my listeners suggested I ask myself the same questions I typically ask my guests...so basically interview myself. If you ever wanted to learn more about me personally, this will help! And as an added bonus, I ask my 7-year-old daughter some of the same questions. The result is sometimes hilarious and always super cute. In this episode I cover: What does marketing mean to me; Quick pitch about my company, who I'm for, what problems I help solve; How did I start this company; Who's on the team; What's working really well from my own marketing and channels perspective; Quick note on lead gen; Challenges I'm trying to figure out; How has COVID affected my marketing strategy; What did I do early stage (given limited resources) to stand out (HINT: focus on your superpowers); The last 2-3 good ideas I've come up with; How I keep my marketing fresh and stay creative; What's my "favorite failure" (HINT: not just one!); What are some bad recommendations in sales/marketing; Sharing something more personal about myself, maybe a little strange. eCommerce Café - inspirerende gesprekken met eCommerce ondernemers

Hoe is hemdenonline ontstaan?

In Episode 13, we bring you another #weekinreverse episode. This time, Brenton shares a brief version of his story as it relates to creativity and his musical background. Brenton was on a tour bus at a young age with his Father, who sang in a Southern Gospel quartet all throughout Brenton's younger years. His Dad, also a drummer, inspired him to pursue music and he became an accomplished drummer. Through high school he began playing in different bands and getting into recording and producing his own music and also spending his afternoons at a local radio station working as a DJ. Soon after, he was on staff at a church as a Worship Leader and, from there, went on to write worship songs and travel as a singer/songwriter. Now, he's the frontman of Cor Captis, host of the Sunday Morning Drive, and the Reverse Podcast. WHAT IS CREATIVITY?What does it mean to be a creative person?Isn’t that just one of those “different” people that keep to themselves?Dictionary.com defines creativity this way:“the ability to transcend traditional ideas, rules, patterns, relationships, or the like, and to create meaningful new ideas, forms, methods, interpretations, etc.; originality, progressiveness, or imagination.”Such is creativity. It’s more than an idea or a “different” personality. It goes beyond what you do and what you find yourself working on at any given moment. It’s who you are. It’s a lifestyle that isn’t defined by anything or anyone but YOU. The ability to “create meaningful new ideas” is not something that can be purchased or taken from a box. It comes from within. It comes from the deepest part of you that longs for something new. Something fresh. Creativity can be the most exhilarating, satisfying, and fulfilling place to live, but it can also be the most difficult, isolated, and quiet place you’ve ever known. You’re not alone. We, just like you, have been through the highs and lows of the creative life. Like us, I’m sure you’ve endured many sleepless nights wrestling with unsettled thoughts, and you’ve also experienced many successes by tapping into your creative genius. Enter the idea of “Reverse”“Thinking Backward Moves us Forward“When we look at our lives in “reverse” we see every failure and success in high definition. We wish that we could roll time back and apply what we know now. If you could “reverse” and go back to a single moment that shaped your creativity, what would it be? Was there someone that came alongside you, a concert or conference you attended, a harsh/kind word from a friend or family member, or a moment when you found your true identity? By reversing back to these moments, and learning from others that have gone before us, we can begin to pick up and start moving forward again. We want to start the conversation. We believe in this crazy idea; all creative people have something in common. Heart. When you peel back the layers of the years, struggles, successes, and failures you get to the heart and soul of a person. Out of that heart comes the ability to create, and to create for the common good in the world. We are a community of that same heart, and by journeying together and learning from each other, we can all achieve success.Every single week we are determined to bring you inspiration that will help you become 100% YOU. The Reverse Podcast will launch a new interview with a creative mind every single week. Stay tuned for more content on the blog as well as our #weekinreverse episodes from Brenton and Bryant every Friday. Now, close this browser, get in the zone, and start creating.
