They are misusing it," Carissa reveals during her conversation on the Be a Marketer podcast. " I don't mean they're cheating, I mean that they're spending it on things that are not helping them grow their business."What has worked for Silver Lining so far? On this episode, Carissa and host Dave Charest, Director of Small Business Success at Constant Contact, explore the challenges of the "Cash Flow Capacity Catch 22" and how business owners can break free from it.Tune in to discover why focusing exclusively on the highest-priority activities matters and how building a business on your terms leads to both financial success and meaningful impact.Additional Resources:Tips for Building a Solid Content Marketing StrategyEmail Marketing Conversion Rate: Enhance Your Campaigns for Better ROIUsing The Customer Journey Map to Personalize Email MarketingPersonalize and Connect: Customer Relationship MarketingMeet Today's Guest: Carissa Reiniger of Silver Lining

In this episode, I delve into the isolating experience of losing a child and explore ways to build a strong support network to aid in the healing process. I have shared 5 practical tips to communicate your needs, set boundaries, and connect with those who can genuinely support you. Grief often leads to feelings of isolation, even when surrounded by others. It is crucial to recognize and address these feelings to promote healing and emotional well-being. 5 Practical Tips for Communicating Needs and Setting Boundaries 1. Use “I” Statements: Express your feelings and needs without sounding critical. 2. Be Clear and Direct: Communicate your needs straightforwardly. 3. Set Specific Boundaries: Define clear boundaries for managing your grief. 4. Ask for Help When Needed: Do not hesitate to ask for specific forms of support. 5. Adjust Boundaries as Needed: Revisit and adjust your boundaries as your grief journey evolves. Building a Support Network Connect with Others: It is beneficial to connect with those who have experienced similar losses and those who listen with compassion. Support Network Mapping: Create a visual map of your support network by drawing three concentric circles. Place people who you can rely on any time in the inner circle and others in the outer circles based on their level of support. Identify Gaps: Identify any gaps in your support network and think about ways to strengthen your connections or seek out new support avenues. Aim to have 3-4 people in your inner circle. Your support network will change as you and your grief journey evolve, and that is okay. Expect changes in your relationships, with some people staying close and others distancing themselves. If your inner circle feels empty or insufficient, reach out for support. If you are unsure how to communicate your needs or set boundaries, I am here to guide you through this challenging time. The latest archive instalment takes Chris and Alex back to January 2020, and their first live episode recorded in front of an audience of animated fantasy fans in attendance at the Fantasy/Animation screening series in collaboration with the Cinema Museum in Kennington, London. Joining the Q&A to discuss The Adventures of Prince Achmed (Lotte Reiniger, 1926) was special guest Dr Caroline Ruddell (Brunel University London), an expert on Lotte Reiniger who has published work on the filmmaker in Fantasy/Animation: Connections Between Media, Mediums and Genres (2018), and the recent anthology The Crafty Animator: Handmade, Craft-based Animation and Cultural Value (2019). Lots here on Reiniger's signature style of 2D cutout animation and gendered discourses of craft and the politics of the handmade, alongside the film's production during a specific historical moment of upheaval in 1920s Weimar Germany. **Fantasy/Animation theme tune composed by Francisca Araujo** **As featured on Feedspot's 25 Best London Education Podcasts**

This show begins with three senior girls from the Jersey Community Panthers tennis team: the twins Libby and Emma McCormick and Tessa Crawford. The three girls share how much they love playing tennis at Jersey CHS, and they talk about their big goals for the remainder of the season. The trio also mentions the positive impact that Pat Coyle has had on their careers along with Head Coach Dan Diamond. Next up, Kahok Assistant Soccer Coach Josh Boyd is in the studio to talk about the Kahoks who have won the SWC the last three seasons. He is joined by star forwards Sam Garofalo and Adam Reiniger. The boys talk about the "rough" start to the season, but how they managed to rebound from some tough early-season losses, and how they plan to end their season on top. Last, Dupo Football HC Zach Klaustermeier is back to discuss the Tigers' hot start, which includes their recognition as Integrity Spine and Joint Center Team of the Month. Coach "K" discusses what he likes about his team, and he breaks down the upcoming matchups his squad will face.

I have taken off a couple of weeks which if you have been following me I'm sure you noticed. The last couple of weeks I have missed sharing with you. WOW that was harder than I thought it would be. I guess when you totally love what you do and your passion is to support and help others it's super hard to take time off. This month I have been reflecting, thinking and focusing on my life and focusing on my purpose here. Thinking about where I'd like to take this podcast. Should I continue to podcast? Reflecting on why I started the podcast. Why I have continued to do the podcast for 3 years. I started the podcast and I will continue the podcast for the same purpose with an additional direct focus on grief within the infertility and loss community. I am super excited to share what is coming in the first half of year 4: Re-branding the podcast. Focus on educating our society and communities on grief within the infertility and child loss community. Bonus Series on Grief in the body, PTSD, Navigating Grief during the Holidays.

Teresa shared about how important it is to advocate for yourself. Over and over women talk about being upset and angry with how they were treated or not treated by medical staff. Being dismissed is a huge problem. She talked about speaking up if your gut is not feeling comfortable with your care. If you have questions or don't understand, speak up. If your emotions are heightened or you are in pain, make sure you have a family member or friend that will advocate for you. Communication with your partner or spouse while going through infertility or loss is most important. Emotions due to increased hormones and grief can really cause couples to be on edge. Have open conversations with each other to really have a better understanding of what your partner is feeling. Teresa talked about how high the separation and divorce rates are with couples that have had loss or infertility struggles. Definitely not an easy journey for anyone and you want to have a great relationship when you bring a baby into your family. For those that are friends and family to those on this journey. Remember to ALWAYS take a "Pregnancy Pause" before asking any questions about pregnancy. On almost every episode the guest of the podcast gives amazing encouragement and insight to help you to advocate for yourself. They are always available and willing, so reach out to them. They have a wealth of knowledge and many have traveled a similar path to become a mom of living children. Reach out to Teresa with questions or to be connected with someone, this should be at the top of the list due to her knowledge, resources and connections she has across the country. As CEO and Founder of Women Connect and Support LLC and the founder and podcast host for Labor Pains Podcast. When two of my daughters started experiencing infertility struggles as well as multiple miscarriages, I began to grieve those grandchildren and realized I still had some unresolved grief from two miscarriages I experienced years ago. Beginning to support numerous close friends and family members that had experienced infertility, miscarriages, stillbirth & infant loss I started a weekly podcast to spread awareness about infertility and loss where women and men could find their voice in sharing their stories to help themselves and others. After a year of interview people for the podcast episodes and finding that there was a tremendous amount of them continuing to struggle with grief. I felt a huge tug on my heart, which I know was God guiding me to take some time and learn how to help people navigate through grief and to give them hope that they can reengage in living life again. I help people navigate through the challenges that come with the difficult stages of grief. My goal is to work with you to be that beacon of light in the darkness directing you to the hope of finding laughter and joy in your life without blame and guilt. And to bring awareness to others as to how to support you and others that are grieving loss.

On this episode I shared some of the things I have learned from my guest over the past 99 episodes. There have been so many things that were not expected when I started this podcast over 2 years ago. I am so honored and humbled to be able to allow so many to share their journey, to feel the healing from sharing their story to help others. I answer questions from Family, Friends and Past Podcast Guests. Here are just a few of the questions that were asked. What inspired you to begin your journey to helping parents in the way you do? How do you, personally, deal with the emotions associated with people being so raw and vulnerable? How do you balance the reality of pain & grief, while still maintaining hope and positivity? What is the best thing about the podcast that you didn't expect? What is mom's greatest need after loss and how can you best help and support them? What is the most rewarding thing you have learned from the podcast? Connect with Teresa: EMAIL: teresa.livingaftergrief.com Facebook https://www.facebook.com/.livingaftergrief/.
