If you've gained a few pounds in the last year or two, hear me when I say you aren't alone. Lockdown, stress and working from home got me caught up in a rut which found me not moving my body as much as I used to. To counter the weight gain and get back on track I've started doing two simple activities (walking + intermittent fasting) that will tone my body, increase my energy and keep my mind clear.
Nothing complements a tall glass of nostalgia like some freshly baked life lessons to bring along for the ride. For the last 39 years, I have carried certain mindsets and attitudes that have gotten me to where I am today. However, as I cross over into my 40s, I am letting go of limiting beliefs that no longer serve me and chasing a purpose that only contributes to my peace, joy, or happiness. My focus for this year is to be content. While my 20s were focused on pleasing people and gaining influence and my 30s consisted of rebuilding, I am now at a point in my life where I am prepared to remove anything that stands in the way of contentment. I’m ready to see what God can do when I remove the limits and I’m starting with 3 key things that I believe are better left in my 30s: An Attachment To Unnecessary Numbers - 08:00 Actions Based On Title or Labels That I Didn’t Choose or No Longer Serve Me - 25:00 Anything Someone Else Thinks I Should Do - 45:30 I believe these limiting beliefs will not take me to the next level. Tune in as I share the lessons and reflections that brought me to this decision, as well as my plan for progress and growth as I chase my personal goals in this new season of life! This episode is brought to you by my new book, Redefine Wealth For Yourself: How To Stop Chasing Money and Finally Live Your Life’s Purpose. Through stories, principles, and practical exercises based on the Six Pillars of Wealth, this book serves as a guide to take you step by step through the process of creating a life of peace, purpose, and prosperity. In this episode I reflecting on the past year and the things I am thankful for during this pandemic.
Since it’s Thanksgiving week in the United States, I wanted to take the opportunity to show gratitude. This is going to be a different kind of holiday because of Covid. Normally we gather with extended family, but this year we’re celebrating with immediate family only. This has been a difficult year, and it can be hard to talk about gratitude right now. At the same time, I realize that I have many reasons to be thankful. That’s why I want to share with you what I’m thankful for in my business, and I want to encourage you to do the same thing. I have many things I could be thankful for in my business, so I picked four big changes that have come about this year. If you’ve listened to some of my other recent podcast episodes, you’ve probably heard me hint at some of these shifts. But these four changes have made an otherwise difficult year more enjoyable. WHAT YOU’LL LEARN IN TODAY’S EPISODE: The four things that I’m grateful for in my business: I truly found my voice and my message. That I launched my email course. That I’m working closely with a small number of people in my coaching program and with a few clients for VIP days. What are 5 tangible things you can do during COVID-19? When thinking about how to look at self-isolation and social distancing in a positive light, the butterfly came to mind. The butterfly is a powerful symbol of change but more importantly, for self-transformation. They begin as a caterpillar and embark on an incredible journey, where through the process of metamorphosis, they transform into a butterfly. It's a powerful metaphor, speaking to our own ability to move through our life cycles. Right now, we're all in a metaphorical cocoon, safe and secure in our four walls. And within our cocoon, we face our own struggles. We know that through struggle comes strength and with challenge comes change. So while we're in this cocoon of our home, instead of feeding our fear, our doubts, our regrets, our loneliness, we have the opportunity to identify the thoughts that no longer serve us. Because the same level of thinking that got us where we are isn't going to get us where we need to go. To help with this transformation, I want to give you the FIVE things I'm doing while staying at home. *** Do you want to stay up to date with every new episode and get my brand new Kwik Brain Accelerator Program?
