Johnny Mac shares five good news stories: a Chinese automaker patented a voice-activated car toilet that slides from under the passenger seat, stores waste in a tank with a rotating heating element to evaporate liquid and dry solids, and uses an exhaust fan to manage odors. A University of Oregon study of 20 healthy adults (ages 20–28) compared hot water immersion, traditional dry saunas, and far infrared saunas, finding hot water immersion raised core body temperature the most, boosting blood flow and supporting vascular health when done in moderation. Chicago expanded the “81 Club,” turning public school IDs into Chicago Public Library cards, with pilot usage up 63%. In Switzerland, archaeologists recovered 1,200+ artifacts from a 2,000-year-old Roman-era lake shipwreck. Ohio police found a 91-year-old woman safe, playing Bubble Pop while chasing a high score.John also hosts Daily Comedy NewsUnlock an ad-free podcast experience with Caloroga Shark Media!  For Apple users, hit the banner which says Uninterrupted Listening on your Apple podcasts app. Subscribe now for exclusive shows like 'Palace Intrigue,' and get bonus content from Deep Crown (our exclusive Palace Insider!) Happy 4/20!!! Thankfully, the weather is improving this week. Starting with temps in the 60's today and mid-80's by Wednesday. In the news this morning, a recall on Fords, the latest on the animal rights attempt to free beagles from a research lab in Wisconsin, a deadly shooting in Louisiana, and another shooting in Iowa near the University. In sports, we talked about the Brewers weekend against the Marlins, recapped the NBA & NHL Playoffs, looked at yesterday's NASCAR results, the Giants big trade this weekend, and Braylon Mullins returning to UCONN instead of trying to head to the NBA. We let you know what's on TV today/tonight and we also checked out a list of stoner movies for 4/20. Speaking of today's holiday, we also looked at some of the food deals that are available even if you're not celebrating, as well as some other stats & info on marijuana use in America. Elsewhere sports, the latest on the Dianna Russini/Mike Vrabel story as another female reporter gets fired, Vrabel won't be investigated by the NFL, and Dianna Russini apparently saved an old man & his dog after a car accident. Wild story from southern California as a hot air balloon had to make an emergency landing in someone's backyard. And the heroic principal from Oklahoma who subdued a would-be school shooter gets crowned Prom King by the students at his school. There's been a lot of amazing inventions over the years that have made driving a vehicle more comfortable. Power windows, blue tooth technology, remote starters…and now, there's something else on the horizon that could make things even better! Especially on those REALLY long drives. Did you see the hot dog costumes at the Cubs game over the weekend? Apparently, a woman celebrating her 50th birthday required her friends to all wear the costume to attend the game. And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a guy stealing LEGO sets & returning the boxes with bags of pasta inside, a family in Pennsylvania that had FIVE deer break through their door and into their home, a weird insurance fraud scheme involving fake bear attacks, a frozen man in Russia is brought back to life, an extremely fast robot, and an inmate that got caught with a baggie of drugs up their ass…that they then tried to swallow.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Accessibility technology continues to evolve as companies explore new ways to support blind and low‑vision individuals in daily life. Mangoslab introduces a voice‑activated Braille printer designed to make labeling and identification more intuitive, immediate, and inclusive. The device converts spoken words into Braille labels, allowing users and their support networks to create tactile markers without requiring Braille literacy. This approach expands access to essential information and supports greater independence in home, school, and care environments.Traditional Braille printers often require specialized knowledge, manual input, or complex interfaces. Mangoslab's system removes these barriers by enabling anyone to generate Braille labels through simple voice commands. The result is a tool that supports both blind individuals and the people around them, including family members, caregivers, teachers, and healthcare professionals. By lowering the learning curve and reducing the time required to produce labels, the device helps integrate accessibility into everyday routines.Technology Designed for Practical UseThe printer uses speech recognition to convert spoken words into Braille patterns, which are then printed onto adhesive labels. These labels can be applied to household items, medications, food containers, school supplies, or any object that requires tactile identification. The system is designed for short words and key terms, making it ideal for quick labeling tasks that support daily organization and safety. The device supports more than one hundred languages through manual selection, allowing users around the world to generate Braille labels in their preferred language. This multilingual capability expands its reach and ensures that accessibility tools are not limited by regional or linguistic boundaries. The printer's compact form factor and straightforward interface make it suitable for home use, educational settings, and professional environments where rapid labeling is essential.Addressing Critical Needs in Medication and Daily LivingOne of the most significant applications of the device is medication identification. Many prescription bottles and over‑the‑counter products do not include Braille labeling, creating challenges for blind individuals who must distinguish between similar containers. The ability to generate accurate Braille labels at home supports safer medication management and reduces reliance on others for basic tasks.Beyond healthcare, the printer supports organization in kitchens, classrooms, offices, and shared spaces. Items such as spices, cleaning products, storage bins, and personal belongings can be labeled quickly, helping users maintain independence and confidence in their environment. The device also supports caregivers who may not know Braille but want to provide meaningful assistance.Innovation Rooted in Experience and CollaborationMangoslab originated as a spin‑off from Samsung Electronics and has spent years developing compact printing technologies. The company's experience in hardware design and user‑centered engineering contributed to the creation of a Braille printer that balances functionality, affordability, and ease of use. Collaboration with institutions and industry partners helped shape the device's focus on practical, everyday labeling rather than large‑format Braille printing. The company aims to make Braille labeling more accessible globally by offering the device at a price point below many traditional Braille printers. This commitment to affordability supports broader adoption and aligns with the goal of normalizing Braille usage in public and private spaces.ConclusionMangoslab advances accessibility through a voice‑activated Braille printer designed to support blind and low‑vision individuals in daily life. By converting spoken words into tactile labels, the device simplifies organization, enhances safety, and empowers users and caregivers alike. With multilingual support, practical design, and a focus on affordability, the system reflects a meaningful step toward more inclusive and accessible environments.Interview by Don Baine, The Gadget Professor.Sponsored by: Get $5 to protect your credit card information online with Privacy. Happy new year. 2025 is already the best year of our lives. Let all the belief in this room seep into your soul. God is ready to do something extraordinary in your life. Let's pray together. Jesus says anyone who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate is a thief and a robber. Sheep can hear their shepherd's voice and they follow. This is the singular defining characteristic of someone who belongs to God. Can you develop the ability to hear God's voice? If you're going to learn how to hear God's voice, you need to realize your inner world is voice activated. Have you ever found yourself just talking and talking to yourself? And the people whose lives are healthier are the ones who make sure that the voices that are activated in their soul are ones that make them the best version of themselves. Jesus says there is a thief that wants to steal your life. He activates his voice inside of your soul. The voices that are fighting for you are actually two voices. One voice is calling you to life, and one voice is called you to death. 2025 is the year that you pay attention to the voice, voice of God. When you hear God speaking, you act. Here's small ways. When an action to do good is activated in your heart, just do it. As human beings, our inner worlds are activated by the words we speak externally and internally. In this moment, what you need more than anything else in life is life. If you'll wake up every morning and make this declaration, I am alive, you will speak life into the inner world of your soul.

Pastor Erwin McManus shares valuable truths on hearing God's voice in this dynamic continuation of the 33 AD series. Pastor Erwin uses a story of the relationship between a good shepherd and his sheep from the Gospel of John to illustrate how we can silence or amplify the voice of God in our lives. God did not design us to hear him as an external, disembodied voice. God designed us for intimate relationship with him so we would hear him from the internal depths of who we are. Jesus longs for us to trust him and follow his voice just as sheep follow their shepherd, but for us to do this we must be tuned into the frequency of his voice. There is often a battle between different voices in our head. Dark and negative thoughts carry heavier weight than the positive thoughts that would bring us life. Pastor Erwin emphasizes that it is our responsibility to actively choose the voice that leads us toward hope, faith, and beauty. Tune into this message and be encouraged as you learn to hear God's voice and follow it this week!
